I live in skyline Santa Clarita.. and i was looking for herringbone lvp flooring. Alot of flooring companies.. (and i mean alot) either do not carry samples or do not know that herringbone in lvp exist. Usually they would direct me to hardwood flooring which is not an option as it needs to go through the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised that boyles had a sample from a reputable brand like coretec in THEIR store. I had them do my floors as soon as I confirmed that the color matched my existing floor. I must admit there were some hiccups but boyles flooring was fair and honest about them. And made no excuses which is something i value in a business. I went through a lot of flooring companies to provide me an estimate of my carpet replacement to LVT. I noted that Boyle's pricing was the most reasonable of them all. To be quite frank, we didn't specifically called Boyle at the time because we were looking at the companies that has a lot of reviews in Yelp. It just so happen that when me and my wife were driving from Walmart and saw Boyle's Flooring's store/shop and took a chance to ask and have them do an estimate. We were able to close out negotiations timely and have them start working on my house. Once it was done, I was very satisfied with the results. Our house is now prettier as compared to the carpets. Throughout the time that the project is being worked on, Boyle's kept me updated for any issues. I would confidently recommend Boyle's to friends and relatives if they need their flooring to be worked on. I was looking for a beautiful " luxury vinyl plank" floor. It had to be high quality, have a "lifetime warranty", be "green", 9" wide, and 72" long planks. I went to at least 12 different flooring stores. Boyles flooring had, by far, the biggest selection of quality "luxury vinyl plank" flooring to choose from! They also have Jim Grosh, the most helpful, ( he helped me pull out heavy floor samples and place them on the floor to compare for most of the time I was there), knowledgeable, ( he informed me of the unhealthy chemicals some floors have and that what I was looking for was "grade A select " in wood), and patient employee that I had helping me. He helped me for two hours on one day , and an hour and a half on the day that I finally found the Coretec floor that I finally bought! If You Want to Beg a Company to Take your Business, then This is the Company For You Phoned Boyle's as they are the locally listed dealer for an expensive glass tile we wished to purchase for our kitchen remodel. "Jen" said she would order the tile and it would/should be "here" next week. Fast forward 3 weeks. No sample, no call, and the only follow up was on my part when I phoned today and "Jen" answered the phone again and I reminded her of our call and the sample we ordered. Her response was a dry "I spoke w/ (tile company) yesterday and they were supposed to call me when they open today." There's no "I'm sorry it's taken so long..." nothing. I asked "where" the tile co was located, and she says "Georgia." I said "well, they're are then 3 hours ahead, and since it's 12:30pm here, then it's 3:30pm there, and it looks like they didn't keep their commitment to you to "call when they open today" (unless they open after 3:30p.m. each day) and there's obviously been ZERO follow up on your part to me over 3 weeks." "Jen" went completely silent. I asked to speak with "Mr. Boyle" and "Jen" said he's "not in today." Hmmm. She took a message for him to call me back. How much do you want to bet he won't get that message or call back? We tried to shop locally and support a small business. Mistake, on our part. No value for our time or interest in the potential sale. Like putting a note in a bottle and tossing it on the ocean. Expect nothing when you call this company, except perhaps wasted time. read more

Disappointed, I've been looking for a trustworthy quality flooring company for a project at our home in Lancaster. I called several weeks ago to confirm Boyles would serve Lancaster and setup an appointment for Friday March 24th at 10am. It takes me two hours to get to the home from my current location. I arrived early and waited, 10:00 came and went and no one showed. I called the office shortly after 10 to verify someone was on their way and was told I'd receive a call back, waited at the home with the couple currently renting it until 11:00 with no call. Attempted to call the office multiple times and received no response... Truly a shame. 2700sqft home and we already know the materials we want to use. GREAT SERVICE = SATISFIED CUSTOMER We were in a real bind! Our contractor had taken up the tile floor in our Master Bath and would be back in 2 days to install the new flooring. The next day we went to purchase it at a local store that we thought would have it in stock. We were wrong. It was back-ordered for 6 weeks. We visited several other flooring places in Santa Clarita. We were told that it would take anywhere from one to four weeks to get what we wanted. Then we stopped at Boyles and explained our situation and the type of flooring we wanted. Gary called his suppliers and was able get the flooring the very next day! We really appreciated his understanding of our problem and the way he worked with us to resolve it. We also appreciated Jen calling to let us know when it arrived and helping us load it into our car! We were happy, our contractor was happy and now we have a beautiful new floor in our Master Bath. Michael, you didn't do everything you could to work with us because the issue still exists. It is not possible for direct sunlight to come through north-facing windows. There is a massive overhang off the main window which diffuses any indirect light. The back door faces west and there is a line of 15 ft trees along the side wall, six feet from the house. There are two further ways to look at this. First, the wood 'went bad' as your dad put it. It "went bad" in less than 18 months. Were we to grant that our north-facing windows were to blame, I'd still have to argue that a reputable flooring company would have warned us ahead of time. They would have said, by the way, natural light, no matter how diffused or indirect, will turn your floors orange-green in just a few months, so do you really want to spend $3,000? It's rather unethical to sell wood flooring without some sort of disclaimer if this is the norm, as you are suggesting. But of course if you did that, no one would buy engineered flooring. The fact is, properly manufactured flooring would not have done this regardless of any natural light, at least not in 18 months. Were we to grant that the light affected the floors it would be under the condition of a faulty floor finish, since the finish is supposed to have some sort of fade resistance, right? But the floors didn't fade or bleach, they "went bad". They look as if they weren't properly cured, and/or have a cheap, or watered down finish on them. This is what "went bad" looks like. Were we to grant that the natural light ruined our floors in just a few months, we would have to deny that the same flooring in the dark hallway, and the windowless bathroom had also 'gone bad'. The bad floor in the hallway and bathroom was verified by the rep and by your father. Your father agreed that the floor was bad and said he would make amends to us and file his own claim against the company since he was unaware that he was selling unwarranted wood. This the fault of the rep. Apparently when he tried to initiate this, if he did, he came to the conclusion that he didn't have a leg to stand on either. And something to think about here, Michael, is that the warranty is a 25 year warranty. Even if I'm out of luck with the revolting color, what am I supposed to do if something else goes wrong, like buckling or cracking, as other people have complained? Second, as far as the rep, the rep is not an inspector. So, no proper inspection was ever initiated. The rep represents the company's wood to retailers and gets them to stock the wood. This guy is not a wood specialist. But it doesn't take a wood specialist to see that the wood had 'gone bad'. We have many pictures to show exactly how bad the wood is. Apparently, your rep did an inspection of which he's not qualified to do and made a ridiculous determination without our knowledge. You think this gives you the right to blame our windows and shirk responsibility. But as I have shown, the windows make no difference. In speaking with Max Woods, and requesting a formal inspection, we were told that there would be no inspection because they did not have a responsibility for the warranty. So the 'inspection' you are referring to went on in the minds of the rep and Gary and has absolutely no value. Gary told us he would get an inspector, and then told us later that the inspector he brought along was not actually an inspector. In other words, the rep had no authority. He then informed us that the rep had just told him on the way in to do the inspection that the company had sold out. You're right there. But the company changed hands in March 2014. This is when the warranty ceased. You were still selling the wood in June 2015 when Gary and the rep came to 'inspect'. It appears that the rep was peddling a fraudulent product to you, as I said before. So again, why should the end-consumer, the one who paid for this, be responsible for the negligence of those who received his money--Gary, and indirectly his rep? As a store, reducing your liability to nothing more than installation problems is frightening. What you are saying is that you don't stand behind the wood itself. Why would you sell stuff you don't stand behind? You could safely stand behind the product if the company and product were reputable. But they weren't. They were cheap and selling cheap products allows you lots of ways to give the impression of being a good company because your prices seem really reasonable. But you forgot to check your sources and make sure that the product you were selling was legitimate. Regardless of whether you see yourselves as the victims in this as well, you and the rep are ultimately responsible for selling a bogus product. It's your responsibility to know what you are selling. read more

Choosing, purchasing and installing new carpet can be a frustrating and sometimes very disappointing experience. Our experience with Boyle's Carpeting in Santa Clarita was just the opposite. We were not happy with our new Shaw carpeting and that company was unresponsive in the extreme. Jen, Boyle's carpet employee was extremely helpful and did everything she could to help us resolve the situation. Gary at Boyle's also stepped in and, at his own expense, replaced the questionable carpet in all the rooms where it had been installed. My husband and I are very pleased with our new carpeting from Boyles Flooring. We looked at many showrooms, read everything we could about carpeting before deciding to use Boyles Flooring. Gary and Michael were vey helpful in assisting us in our decision on what type of carpet would best fit our needs. We took home many samples before we finally chose our Shaw carpet. Michael gave us a fair estimate in February and Gary honored it even though we didn't decide to move forward on our project until April. Gary ordered our carpet and it was available right away. We had it installed the very next week. The next step was the installation process which we learned is one of the most important steps in getting a great carpet.
