My dog has visited here twice and has left with worn pads and kennel cough both times. He will not be returning. It's a shame that I keep my dog healthy and up to date on his vaccines and have to spend $130 in medication because this place doesn't screen the other pets properly. read more

This review is for the new Cockeysville location. Perhaps Joppa has more activities for the dogs, but we were not happy with Cockeysville. I was so excited when they first opened, they are 5 minutes from my house. There is a daycare 30 minutes away that I LOVE, but it's hard to get there for us. My 3 yr old GSD loves to play at daycare, and it tires him out in a happy way...except for Best Friends Fur Ever. The dogs are crated entirely too much. If you drop them off at 7 am, they are crated until 9!! Then they are crated again for a couple of hours at lunch (11:45, not noon like they tell you); then they are crated again around 4:45 (they'll tell you 5:00). Watch the webcams, the dogs just mill around, very few activities for them. We purchased a 20 day pass for our dog, and really regretted it. We would pick him up at 5 and as soon as we walked in they said "Your dog was in time-out again for humping"!! I asked at the other two daycares that he goes to, and they both said they've never seen him hump. He's bored. He's extremely trainable and smart, isn't there another way to handle this? He was never tired after going to BFFE. They agreed to refund the remaining days of the pass, hallelujah. It's too bad, I really had high hopes. It always seemed as though the rules are for the convenience of the staff, not geared towards the dogs. BTW, the other local daycare never crates the dogs. Cannot recommend. read more

my dogs have been here several times for day care and just got boarded for the first time this past weekend. my boyfriend usually drops them off on the way to work so i didn't know much about the place before. all i know is that my babies are happy when they come out and are well exercised because they're sleeping for the rest of the evening! they have web cams that you can watch the dogs from. definitely a lot of room for them to run around in. it's been a while since we've sent them to day care because our work schedules have just been so hectic and didn't match the drop off/pick up times. my first time coming here was this past weekend when the dogs were boarded. staff was extremely friendly and actually remembered my dogs by name! i also got my toy poodle groomed here. price was reasonable, the groomer was extremely friendly and worked with us to get an appointment in. read more

We really wanted to like it here, but sadly we didn't. My pups really needed the exercise and socialization but there were just too many wrongs, then rights. First off, EVERYTIME we called to make a booking, they told us that they didn't have our dogs info on vaccinations and such. Even though we have brought in paper copies several times to them from our vet and our car called!! 2nd, we bought a half day, day care package and would call sometimes to extend our dogs stay and ask if we could just pay the difference. Who ever answers would say yes, but then we ended up getting charged the full day price, not the difference and then was told that we can't pay the difference from our package pricing. Next, don't say you can see your dog on video when half the video cameras don't work, have horrible quality and the app sucks!! We also never get a report card like they promote to you and they never take any pictures either. Lastly, this is the only place my dogs have ever came home with Kennel cough. There are definitely dogs in there who are not fully vaccinated or something else is don't on. I wish we would have had a better experience, but unfortunately we did not. I've been using Best Friends Fur Ever for well over a year now. There has been nothing but great experiences with all the staff members and management. Recently, my dog (Ravioli) has been suffering from sporadic seizures while being boarded. The seizures stem from separation anxiety and it has been a struggle to mitigate the symptoms as of recently. While on vacation, my dog had numerous seizures at Best Friends Fur Ever. The staff notified me immediately when the seizure would occur. They documented the time, length and an overall description of the incident. Not only that, the staff would ensure that they had the situation under control. Explaining that they are trying to give him water, taking Rav outside, and comforting him while he is stressed. They then moved him to an area where he can be around the staff so he can be closely monitored. I assumed Rav would be a liability for Best Friends Fur Ever due to the continuation of his seizures. I called the place a few days later to book another reservation due to traveling. Immediately they asked how he is doing and if his symptoms were better. They were more than happy to take him in again which is so relieving to me and lets me know my dog is in the best hands. I arrived later that week to drop him off. Once again, multiple employees asked how he is doing and they were all excited to see him. The gentleman at the front counter had a game plan of how to accommodate for Rav on this stay. He explained to me the strategy he had in mind and wanted to know if I was OK with it. This proved to me that Best Friends Fur Ever truly cares about each and every pet. The entire staff at Best Friends Fur Ever have blown me away with their professionalism, experience and concern of all the pets they handle. I cannot thank them enough for being responsible and going above and beyond to help with Rav. I have had my 8 and 13 year old dogs stay at the Joppa rd location 3 times. Twice, my older dog has come home with small wounds. The first wound was not obvious, but I found the cut/scab when petting him after bringing him home. The second time, there was an obvious wound on his muzzle. What concerns me the most is there was no report of this on their "report card". I called to inquire about the wound. They had no knowledge of it. This was a dog who was with staff in the office area, and according to their own report, "got a lot of hugs and kisses from all the office crew!" Really? And nobody noticed his muzzle? There was really nothing of value reported on the card. I received one card for both dogs. There was no mention of the medications they were supposed to give my older dog. When I called I also asked about his medications. "He had to be bribed with a pill pocket" the young woman said. Really? Because I've tried pill pockets, hot dogs, cheese, peanut butter, and roast beef and he spits capsules right out. I find this difficult to believe, but ok. I always prefer to leave my dogs with friends or family. Sometimes, they have to be boarded. I will be looking for a new place to board my dogs. A place that doesn't have so many dogs to care for. A place that gives me useful, relevant feedback and is aware enough to know when a dog has been injured. read more

We took our very healthy, happy, puppy to this facility for a 20 day board/train program. She completed week 1. She came home almost lethargic, which we chalked up to lots of exercise/mental stimulation. We found a cut on her lip that they failed to notice/had no explanation for. Her training reports were filled out, but meal consumption wasn't consistently. We had to verify she was eating. Her report cards often referred to her as him. Our dogs name is gender neutral but when you pay close to 1600$ for a program, It's a small ask that staff know the gender of a dog staying in their care for 20 days. Week 2 ended, I started to get a bad feeling as she didn't look happy in most pictures. I spoke with her trainer, who said she was a joy to work with, unlike many other dogs who he had personally made up all kinds of bad names for because their owners weren't diligent at home and it was frustrating. This worried me some as she is a pup and isnt perfect. I got a note saying she had diarrhea in her crate twice overnight (never an accident at home) I was told the one overnight staff must have been busy and missed her asking to go out. I wasnt told until I called if she/her crate were clean, or if she was sick still. Shortly after we got a call saying Sawyer had developed "crate rub" that morning and had a sore on the top of her nose. Our vet confirmed this wasnt a fresh wound. They asked to move her to a "large plastic run", we agreed. We got a call again saying that she was injured and they would like her to see a vet ASAP. My gut feeling was to get her out of there immediately. We walked in, the manager tried to hustle us outside away from other clients, I declined. I wanted to get her to her vet. When we got to her, she was in an office with 4-5 people, on a thin blanket on the floor and barely lifted her head, she didn't respond to us. Her female trainer would not make eye contact with us. No one there would. I asked what they had given her as she appeared to be sedated and they said nothing. They declined to allow us to see the plastic enclosure but assured us that her injury was caused by "jumping up and down". She's a Belgian Malinois, strong, healthy and fit. She jumps plenty at home, plays with her brother and has never had an injury. We went directly to our vet who confirmed that she appeared sedated. He also didn't think her leg injury was likely to be a result of merely jumping up and down. They refunded our training fee instantly. We had a vet bill totalling 350-400$ which they will not pay for, but Kelly since offered to if the negative reviews would stop. We did initially agree to their terms, dogs can sometimes sustain injuries. We assumed this meant a scratch here and there or something mild. Not that our otherwise happy/healthy pup would not be able to use her leg. Sawyers spirit is badly hurt. She is not the same dog that went to that place. She is petrified of men now and hides when one comes near her. We later learned they occasionally employ harsher training techniques such as the alpha roll, and face harnesses. They denied this but we were able to see from a picture that she had some sort of device on her face as there was a distinct line in her fur. We also heard from several previous employees that what you see on the outside is not what you get on the inside. Sawyer had a rough start in life and it's unfortunate that something that should have been a good experience, further broke her trust in people. Please care enough for your baby to always seek a safe, happy environment. Per the owners words "there are just too many dogs here for that kind of individual care". UPDATE TO THE BUSINESS OWNERS COMMENT: Thank you for responding. I'm glad you mentioned your standard practices. 1: You claim to have promptly addressed our concerns, Sawyer was injured at your facility exactly 1 week ago. Today was the first time I'd heard your voice despite asking to speak with you several times. If this is prompt to you, I can easily see how our dog was injured under your care. 2: You did not address our concerns, you called to argue about the review that was posted. Though you said you hoped Sawyer would eventually feel better, you did not once ask how she was, shouldn't that be your primary concern? 3:The fact that you are claiming you provided "safe, happy, and healthy boarding" even AFTER she sustained an injury under your care, shows that your intentions are not to provide a remedy or address our concerns, but to lash out against the well deserved negative review that was given to your facility after our dog left there unable to use one of her limbs. I am very saddened that the focus is on being upset over, and changing, a review instead of the welfare of Sawyer. I am sure had the focus been on her safe care since day one, none of this would have ever transpired, and we would have a safe, happy, and healthy puppy that is able to walk and play. read more

My parents dropped off their dog here for a week while they were on vacation. Normally we haven't had any issues, but on this occasion the dog injured its paw and needed antibiotics. They took the dog to the vet and still gave my parents the bill. If a dog gets injured on your watch, you should cover the bill. Consequently, they won't be bringing the dog back. It seems they have too high of a capacity now and not enough staff. It wasn't always this way. read more

I just want to say thank you to the great staff at bffe. My Ac went out (mysteriously started working again while we were away) I could not leave my dog home alone in that heat. I called around and bffe was able to take her for a trial day at last minute notice. This put my mind at ease that my dog was in comfort and not possibly overheating while i was at work. We took our dog there for a bath. The room you go in go bath your dog was filthy. You would think they would clean the room after each use. The room next to the self washing room is the groomers room. When we were there the woman groomer was not very nice to a dog, I could not believe how she was treating this dog with us right there a few feet away from her. I would never recommend this place for dog grooming or to use the self washing for your dog. read more

Best Friends Fur Ever Joppa location is fantastic. They take great care of all dogs, they look for anything that is unsafe, crate them at appropriate times such as eating sleeping intake and dismissal similar to a school. They have cameras you can watch the dogs on while they play. While also giving report cards for overnight stays. I have even had a picture or two emailed to me by the handlers while away from my dog. I give Best Friends Fur Ever the highest mark I can if I could go higher than five I would give them a 10, 20 or even 50. They are the best doggie daycare and animal training facility I've ever seen and I have owned multiple dogs throughout my life. read more

My dog Smokey had a great time at Best Friends Fur Ever (BFFE). I feel that he was well cared for and would recommend BFFE in the future. The webcam is a very useful tool to check in on your pets, and it proves that BFFE wants its customers to feel at ease when they are on vacation. We had one little problem with our paperwork, but the owner went above and beyond to communicate with us in a timely manner to make sure it was resolved amicably. Affordable priced with a very caring staff. I wish their HD doggy cams actually worked as advertised so I could give 5 stars. When viewing the cams that actually do work, it's so pixleated you can't tell if it's a pack of dogs or a pack of squirrels running around and playing. So, actually being able to pin point your own pooch is impossible. Nevertheless, great place to take your pup for overnight and day care stays. They did not treat my dogs correctly. Lumping them up with the rest of the older dogs saying they were geriatric was not fair to my dogs that are healthy and energetic and like to have exercise and regular outdoor activity. Leaving them behind a desk with dogs that are older and have physical problems and can't get around is not fair to them. They created a habit of going P wherever they wanted well they were there. This is unacceptable upon bringing them home they had the same habit and started to pee in my house. I did a beta test to make sure that it was not a bladder control problem because older dogs sometimes have that. Leaving one and a cage while at work and then switching over to the other. Neither one of them went pee in their cage while they were in the cage. The one that was out of the cage peed near the door every time. Different dogs different days equals no bladder control issues just a bad habit picked up my bad policy. Now I have to break them of that habit. Not to mention they did not get the exercise that they needed. I do not question the fact that this may be a good place to take dogs that are younger and less of a liability. But I will not be taking my dogs back there ever again. They do not have a good program for older dogs just keeping them behind the counter is not acceptable. read more

We got our 1yr. old Beagle in June of this year, he was definately high energy! A month later, we had to board him for a few days, so we turned to Best Friends Fur Ever. I was so worried that either he would be too much for them to handle; or that he would hate it there and punish us when we got back :) Happily - he loved it! And he was worn out :) The staff there are wonderful and caring. The cameras are great for a glimpse of how much fun our Toby has while he is there. We also use them for doggy day care once in a while and he really has a great time on every vists. We love this place and so does Toby! read more

Brenda,I am sorry that your friends puppy got sick but maybe it wasn't the fault of Best Friends. Puppies can contract organisms almost anywhere. I have to defend them because my 10 1/2 YO Doxie has gone to Best Friends for 6 yrs and this has never happened to her. If anything, they are overly strict to not let a dog stay there if sick. My poor Sophie has back problems and has to be watched closely. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff here. They monitor her so closely and care for her so lovingly, that I do not have to worry as I work long 10+ hr days. Everyone is terrific and the main thing about them is that they love all these dogs and take care of them as if they were their own. This really is the best staff and dog daycare around. Let's be honest, there are plenty of dog daycares in the Baltimore area, so it speaks volumes that so many people opt for Best Friends Fur Ever. The staff here are the friendliest that we've experienced at a dog daycare. They are always able to report about what our dog has done on a particular visit and our dog is always happy and exhausted after we pick him up from his twice weekly visits. I read some earlier reviews and offer these rebuttals: (1) someone mentioned their dog coming home sick - if you take your child to daycare and one kid has a cold they all end up with colds. It is reasonable to expect the same will happen at a dog daycare. Best Friends does everything it can to manage the situation. If a dog appears to be sick they send it home. They require vaccinations against numerous things. They post signs letting owners know to keep sick dogs home. Unfortunately, in the same way ridiculous parents do not keep sick kids home from school, foolish owners sometimes do not care enough to keep sick dogs home. For what it's worth, I have NEVER had the slightest concern about my dog's health or wellbeing at Best Friends. (2) someone mentioned the dog to staff ratio needing to be lower - well this is a ridiculous statement. Children sit in a class of 25 to 35 without issue. I work in a school and gym classes are upwards of 60:1 students v. staff and never has a parent complained. I watch the camera streams and I have never seen a ratio larger than approx. 20:1 pups v. staff. That seems reasonable to me, but I guess some people expect a 2:1 ratio when a daily rate doesn't even afford the business a full day of pay for one staff member at minimum wage. If the business raised its rate to afford even a 5:1 pups v. staff ratio on a regular basis, they'd quickly find themselves out of business because these same people wanting the service would refuse to pay for the service they wanted. I've gone on long enough, but in closing, if you want a dog daycare that is well managed and that truly cares about the health and wellbeing of your dog then there's no better place than Best Friends Fur Ever. I've taken my pup here multiple times per week for nearly a year and a half and I have never had a negative experience. The fact that my dog drags me into the building speaks volumes about how much he loves the place and honestly, they love him. They yell his name and give him copious attention when he arrives and when he leaves he is exhausted from his long day of play. read more

Called them on Saturday to set up my dog for daycare on Monday and Tuesday. The rep on the phone was very nice and took me through the process. She verified my dog had her rabies shots but nothing else. I showed up Monday morning and was told my dog couldn't stay because there were 2 other shots she needed. This left me in a really bad spot because I would have made alternate plans had I known. I was then stuck hustling to find a place for her to go and ended up being late to work. Obviously, I don't have time to get her these other vaccinations, so now I'm stuck again tomorrow and Wednesday trying to find a place for her to go. The staff was very nice, but their communication is horrible. When I first tried to schedule her for daycare, I had to leave 2 voicemails before anyone called me back. read more

I have read some really negative reviews after having my dog there since last fall or so but I have been very satisfied. I don't have another place to compare it with but the staff are wonderful and loving. I took my dog there as a pup because I thought it wasn't fair for her to be in the crate for so long. I have not been a real supporter of crates but my dog likes it for at least a period of time. SO....she gets exercise for most of the day and comes home content and exhausted so I have no objection to crating for that time. It's much less than she would get at home. And even if I didn't have to crate her, she would not have the exercise and camarardie that she has now. Hats off! read more

Today was Mocha's trial day and it went great! I could definitely tell she had quite a workout. We won't be using this daily but we wanted to utilize their training and bring her here for special "treat" days (aka days where Mommy and Daddy have to work long hours). The socialization and exercise is good for our little couch potato! I love the little report card she received. Yes, part of it contained checkboxes/a form letter but I don't expect the employees to write novels about each dog every day. They are there to watch over our furry kids, not write reports. There was a nice little paragraph at the bottom paraphrasing her day and it was perfect...sincere and sweet. Everyone we met at the Cockeysville facility was so nice to me, Mocha and my little daughter! As far as the called out illnesses go in previous reviews... any time you go out (dog or human) you run the risk of illness. No vaccine is 100%. I don't like it, but it's a fact. You have to weigh the risks... I get the flu shot every year but this past year I still came down with the flu... It was awful but I'll still get the shot again this year AND I'll still leave the house and interact with others during flu season... we can't stay cooped up in our houses all day. I believe for each of the negative reviews I've seen, there are at least 50 happy clients and we so far, are 1 of them. read more

We used to bring our dog here several years ago and it was okay at first. Then I drove up the morning before our wedding to drop our dog off for the week for our honeymoon (we had called several weeks prior to this to make an appointment and they booked her without any issue). They took her into this closed-in area and told us to "wait around the corner". One of the handlers then approached her, and apparently she didn't like this particular handler so she barked and backed into the corner. They came back to us within a minute and said "we can't take her there was an issue the last time she stayed with us". So here I am the day before my wedding and honeymoon and they're telling me that they can't take her --- not ONCE did they ever indicate something had gone wrong (e.g., she snapped at someone, another dog, etc.) --- not when we picked her up that time and not when we called to make an appointment for her. This place is ok on the surface, but it seems that the staff lacks the knowledge/experience in handling dogs with special needs (our dog who has food growl, crate possession issues). We now take her to Country Comfort Kennels in Delta, PA (they have several locations, we've been to 2 and they are both great). They know that our dog can only be handled by certain ppl and they are more than willing to work with us/her to make us comfortable (us and the dog) while she's there. read more

For Cockeysville location: We have had the opportunity to take our little pup here about 10 times for daycare and have had great experiences. The staff is friendly and accommodating- Ashley is wonderful. I have had our pup in the day and train classes with Sage and Rob the trainers who are very professional and helpful. They tailor the lessons to what you ask and provide a report card complete with photos, what they worked on, and how you can continue at home. At the end of the day the staff supply owners with reports of disciplinary action (5 min. Time outs in the crate) and/or any observed health issues. My pup has received a few time outs which can be disappointing as a puppy mom at pickup but I understand it is for the safety of all and would want the same if someone elses' dog is not abiding by the rules. The staff will generally take a few minutes to explain what was up and how to curb the behavior. I like the half day option too and find it a great place for my pup to get some energy out, socialize with other dogs, and interact with the handlers who are great with him and are always excited to see him. The ONLY reason I took off a star is the outdoor webcam. They have a variety of webcams to illustrate what your pup is up to. My puppy is in the mid group and the camera placed outside is so far from the play area you cannot really see. It would be more comforting if I could see what my little guy is up to. The indoor camera is fine- not extremely high resolution but enough to generally identify which one is yours. Might it be possible for closer placement management? Also, in looking at the other yelp reviews and seeing how active the management is in responding to the users I think is evidence they are constantly looking to improve, are open to feedback, and care about what they do which makes me even more comfortable leaving my loved one in their hands. read more

I started taking my puppy to BFFE in Joppa while Cockeysville was under construction and he always came home absolutely exhausted! The staff was great and I love the doggy cams. He now goes to the Cockeysville location which is less than 5 minutes from my house which is great and the staff is just as wonderful here! I recently began taking him to another daycare as well as BFFE though because my dog likes the equipment and furniture to sit/lay on both inside and out which they do not have at the Cockeysville location. Additionally, I prefer the other daycare because it is the same cost but they do not crate during the day but rather give the dogs the full play time which I also really like. The philosophy there is the dogs that want to sleep, can and will, then they take the higher energy dogs into another room or outside! I wish BFFE did this because I'd prefer to only bring him there! Regardless, I trust them here and strongly recommend it for daycare and even more strongly recommend it for boarding! read more

On my way to drop my boys off at Daycare, i was all smiles ....from the moment the feet hit the floor in the morning my boys are rushing me to feed them ,then they go out to potty ant to the front door and its like come on mom lets go,they are so HAPPY to go here ,,its just amazing how much they enjoy it ,,i was smiling because i was watching them in the rear view mirror and they were so excited,,it brought back the memory of the day I found this place ,my husband and I were going on vacation and were boarding our boys so 2 wks before we were to leave me and my grand daughter went to where the boys were going to stay (i will leave the name of this place silent) to take tour to make this a short story I left there in tears that I was going to leave my boys there ,,i called my husband and told him and we were going to cancel our vacation!! i stopped at Ritas on 924 to get my grand daughter a treat and the girl there seen i was upset again long story short she told me about this place on rt 7 and 152 so i went right there OMG it was like WOW ,I WAS SO HAPPY The staff was so nice ,well we had a AWESOME vacation ..and our boys did to , the care that they receive while they are there is awesome ,the care that my Buddy received while he was ill was beyond what i could of asked for and there is no way I could ever thank your staff enough for that ..EVER , ITS MANY YRS LATER AND MY BOYS STILL ARE GOING HERE AND STILL SO EXITED TO GO ,,THANK YOU Kelly and a BIG THANK YOU TO ALL ,, read more

I've taking my dog to BFFE Cockeysville on a weekly basis since the first week they opened and we've never had any problems or illnesses. I've been on a tour of the facility and to several holiday themed parties they've thrown for the dogs and customers. What I've found is that the place is very clean and well run by a competent staff. The staff are always courteous, they know my dog by name and she knows the regulars by sight. I've viewed my dog playing on the webcams several times and the dogs always seem to be running around having a good time. At pickup my dog is always tired and the best part is when she gets home, falls asleep and wags her tail during a dream. After reading a couple of the negative reviews, I felt bad because my experience has been just the opposite and I feel these are good people running a good daycare facility. I will continue to bring my dog to BFFE Cockeysville without concern or reservation. read more

I will NEVER take my dog here again. My dog is a terrier. As puppies their ears are glued (fur to fur, not skin to skin) to help them grow in the desired position for the breed. My dog had been to the kennel for a couple of day trips while his ears were glued and no one said a word. I dropped him off for an extended stay, and again, at drop off, no one commented on his ears. The day after dropping him off, while on the opposite coast , I got a call from the manager telling me he couldn't play with the other dogs because his ears were glued. She said it was for his own protection, that the other dogs may pull at his ears and cause harm to him. I explained there would be no harm, if pulled on it would just pull the hair out. Stripping (pulling the har out) a terrier is the traditional way to groom them and it does not hurt. At this point it was the manager's lack of customer service and tone that upset me most. I explained how she could just pull the ears apart if that was the only way they would allow my dog to return to group play (the group play was the only reason I paid the high rates that they charge, as all terriers, he has lots of energy). I was told that the only way he could return to group play was to allow them to clip the ears apart. I pleaded that they just pull the ears apart. I was told, "As I said, we can clip them apart". I reluctantly gave permission. When I picked my dog up, both ears had been sliced. Against my better judgment, I took my dog to BFFE for a second extended stay. When I picked him up he had purulent drainage from his penis, a fever, and a skin infection over his entire body. I was amazed at their lack of accountability when I reported this. My dogs have been going here for well over 8 months. No major problems and they always come home warn out. There was a problem viewing the camera's but then I was told it was due to maintenance which is understandable. The staff is friendly and seems very knowledgeable. I've toured the facility at both Joppa and Cockysville and they are both very clean. The set ups are different but both clean. I would totally recommend this daycare to anyone for daycare or boarding!!! read more

My two dogs have been to the Cockeysville facilities a total of six times now. One is with the big dogs and one is with the little dogs. Several weeks ago our big dog came down with a bad cold. Last week, we dropped the dogs off for the day again. This time, both dogs came down with an awful cough. We thought the dogs were going to die. After taking them to the vet separately, we learned that our dogs had whooping cough. We called Best Friends Fur Ever to let them know our dogs were both extremely sick. They apologized for their illness and said that multiple families have called complaining about their dogs being sick as well. That was all they did. They said they weren't sure what to do. Our vet bills totaled $500 for these two visits, not including the previous visit from another illness our dog received at this facility. Both of our dogs are up to date with vaccinations. PLEASE be careful taking your dogs here. Our dogs are still recovering from their illnesses they obtained while under the care of Best Friends Fur Ever. The place looked clean but smelled awful after we asked for a tour of their facility but we needed a place for our dogs and decided to take them there anyways. I have given 1 star as no star was not an option! This place came highly recommended to me almost 2 years ago. We did put both of our dogs there for the trial day, with strict diet instructions for one of the dogs as he has a severe allergy to wheat, and brought our own biscuits they could give him. When we arrived for pick-up he was scratching, but didn't think anything of it and brought both dogs home. As it got later into the night the itching got worse, and he broke out in hives. The last time this had happened was when he was a puppy and we took him to the hospital. After that first experience, I knew to give him 2 Benadryl to start with and 2 more during the night. We called Best Friends Fur Ever the next day to report this as it was obvious no one bothered to look over the written instructions we left. They acted confused and we were told someone would call us back, no one ever did and we just decided that we will never use this place again. The reason I now write this review is because my friends just had their 2 dogs there for a week and one of the dogs has big scabs around his face, and no one seems to know what happened, they are trying to claim that he has hotspots, which he has never had! The owner apologised and offered a credit for an overnight for both of my friends dogs, seriously! They just spent $460 at this place and their dog comes home with scabs that no one can explain and yet they had time to reprimand their other dog for humping! If there was any decency, then they should get a refund, that probably won't happen as then there's an admission of guilt! My incident happened in November 2012, but my friend's incident just happened this past week, June 2014. This place may get great reviews, but when you are the small percentage that has a bad experience, they want to ignore you if they can, and hope that you go away and don't cause bad publicity.
