I like going to this store when I need skincare if I'm in the area. I just needed a sunblock/sunscreen. It took awhile for me to find one because I use the Yuka app. I swear the brands I've used before scored higher before and this time they were bad. Idk what happened to make that change, but I was able to find one that was suitable for me and my sensitive skin. It was a busy day. I wish this store was a bit bigger so I didn't accidentally bump into people. It's hard to look at things when the aisles are so small. I love this place. I recently visited from out of town bc I wanted to get some viral snacks at Hmart and realized they had a skincare store inside. They carry the Korean shampoos I usually buy online for a cheaper price and stocked up on Rejuran. The owner lady is nice and knows a lot of skin products if you ask. Super tiny place. The prices were marked UP and were much more expensive than buying stuff online and the customer service is horrible. The owner I assume came up to me and started yelling at me when I tried a tester wrong. She was very hostile and rude for a simple mistake. Would give a 0/5 if I could. Felt like I was getting monitored the whole time I walked into that store. No one offered any help or anything, just felt like I was being watched the whole time and they acted as if i was going to steal something. I am kind of surprised by all these bad reviews. I have been shopping here for well over 2.5 years, at least once a month, sometimes even multiple times per month. I've always had great experiences here. The owner is very helpful and gives recommendations every time I stop by. She always greets me with a smile. The other staff does change up quite a bit but they are always very friendly and helpful. They do mark up their products quite a bit, however, I am one of those people that does not like to order online and wait for my package to come. It's so cool that they have so many products that you can sample. The bummer is that you have to get assistance to actually test them. This is the best place in San Diego at the moment to get your hands on kbeauty such as skin care and makeup. They also have things like spa headbands, slippers, brushes and all kinds of hello kitty! I came on a busy day and I was able to shop in peace. They have so many choices for sun screen so I went back to my tried and true Missha sunmilk (green top) it's the best! Also tried some lip products. At checkout the nice people gave me a hair sample which is so nice! After I showed my mom my lip tint I am definitely coming back to buy more :) read more

I am glad I didn't read any reviews before I went in! Wonderful experience here. Many of my favorite K Beauty brands are stocked here. (Missha, Peripera, IASO, many many more). They carry a large variety of items here and not just beauty. Think Hello Kitty! :) I was able to curate a full regimen for my aging skin and was treated with the utmost respect. There was ample parking and I suggest that you stop by the food court while you are there. -1 star because there is a significant markup, however, I preferred not to wait for an online order and get some instant gratification. This is an independently owned and operated shop so there may be instances that she opens late. I have encountered that before HOWEVER, I was able to get other shopping done. 5 stars for having a lot of Korean K-Beauty products, 1 star given for the customer service. The Korean lady, maybe the owner of the beauty store, needs to carefully re-read her exchange policy. I bought the wrong product, didn't open it, and followed the "NO REFUNDS, exchange within 7 days" unopened products. When I couldn't remember if I paid with card or cash, and even after looking through my debit card transactions, she tried to school me and say no more exchanges. Excuse me lady, I was following YOUR receipt rules and even telling her that the product I brought was unopened and unused. I told her that I was just following what the store's receipt said. If you don't mind paying the international shipping fee, buy your K-Beauty products on Olive Young or Song of Skin. This store isn't worth the rudeness and sometimes they may sell you products that might not be good for your type of skin. I came in the other day and have never had a problem at this store before but one of the employees came up to me multiple times and kept watching me around the store. She would not let me use the testers even though I was using the Q-tips meant for the testers and swatching the products onto my hand. She said it was "unsanitary," but 10 other people in the store were using the tester applicator directly on their skin, and she did not approach anyone else. I do not understand why they have testers and q tips if you can not test the products?? It is not a problem to swatch the testers at any other cosmetic store. I've been going here for a while. I love Korean/ Japanese skin care. Honestly the best in my opinion. Usually they are nice. The younger crew. Today i came in and noticed they hired someone new, actually a few new people. I was helped my ema and today out of the many times I've been here was the best. i go here pretty often whenever i go to hmart. i love their products, its a bit pricey but expected for the convenience. my only issue really is that there is an old korean woman with long hair who was working there, idk if shes the owner or manager but she was so rude to her employees. she was yelling at them, rolling her eyes, and scoffing. rather than correcting her employee's mistake, she would get upset really fast and make a face. me and my mom were shocked and felt so bad for the girl working. even when we first came into the store she was yelling loudly in korean. i love this place but i wish they treated their employees with more respect. read more

Prices were reasonable and more cheaper than the ones that I went to. I got the Etude house hand cream for $7.99 and a 150ml Emulsion for only $10 (before it was $35). He also gave me free samples. I don't buy too many Korean cosmetics, but I would highly suggest you come here instead of most other places since they have products from a variety of companies like Amore Pacific and not one company (like LG) that some other stores in Zion Market have. Although all of the other reviews are horrible, I think it is one of many places to get good overseas products without paying for shipping (which is probably why some are overpriced). I pulled up a picture of the Laneige lip mask on my phone and asked the lady who NICELY got up from her position and showed me where it was, and even better it was six dollars cheaper than usual for the authentic product. Came in here a few times before but only bought small things. I usually buy my Korean skincare on Amazon since it's quick and reasonably priced for the brands I use, but I came in today and checked the prices in store and compared them with Amazon- I was expecting the store to charge way more since most Korean beauty shops in the area upcharge like crazy, but I was surprised to see it was the same price or less than Amazon! Restocked my essentials in store because of that, so amazing. They may seem like they don't "trust" you if you're not used to the culture- at first they follow you around, but this is just because they want to help you find what your looking for or give options- it's nothing personal nor is it "racist". The woman who owns the shop can come off as rushed and harsh but again it's nothing personal, that's just the culture for the older generation. The girl who was working there with her was extremely helpful and very sweet- they always add little goodies or samples as well with your purchase, this time they gave me a full sized pack of strawberry hello kitty hand sanitizer wipes for free.
