Unprofessional is a understatement and the condition of her "shop" is disgusting and not just this but she was very rude and did a horrible job. Donna Brock is amazing!!! She is so obviously caring and loving of the pups, I felt completely comfortable leaving our brand-new-to-us rescue toy poodle with her! Our pup was matted right down to the skin and appeared to never have been groomed, so we were all concerned with how she would take to it. Donna let me know that it might have to be done in stages because she wanted to be sensitive to how our dog would react: I loved that!! But, Donna was so patient and wonderful that by the time we returned, our pup was completely groomed and snuggling on Donna's lap. She even added little rhinestones on her ears and a little blanket for her to stay warm. And, took a holiday picture of our little pup, newly groomed! We've been going to Donna (Best in Show) for several years. We have a long haired dachshund and Donna is so careful with her and listens to what I want done. We also have an elderly short hair who hates to be groomed, and Donna takes her time and babies her. We are happy with Donna, and highly recommend her! read more

We just left this place. today was our first day bringing our dog to get his nails clipped. Donna is awesome very kind! we have one dog that is totally nuts does not like anything done to him and Donna said that she would work with him even cut his nails out in the parking lot so he didn't feel like he was trapped in the building. she said that she would work with him until we get him used to getting groomed. Donna Brock is absolutely amazing! She was so kind to us and worked with our four legged family member, Halo Joe. She was so patient with him and customized his grooming to his comfort level while also returning him so beautiful and fresh. She also included a special touch of little crystals on his ears and a doggy bag of treats...just because he liked them so much! WE LOVED DONNA! We were in Grass Valley for my sister's wedding this pass weekend, and needed to make sure our Abbey girl was taken care of. Being that this was our first time leaving Abbey with a stranger, I was nervous to say the least, but Donna and Best in Show came highly recommended by the Court Yard Suites in Grass Valley so we said, let's see how it goes. As soon as we arrived Donna immediately welcomed us and Abbey and gave us a run down of all the fun activities Abbey will be a part of, kind of like Doggy Summer Camp! We also had Abbey groomed by Donna too. If you ever need a place to keep your dog child, Donna and Best in Show is the place to go. read more

So, this review is coming a couple months late, but better late than never! We relocated to the Grass Valley area at the end of August and needed to immediately be out of town for a week for a family wedding - and we couldn't bring our two precious chihuahuas along :-( They are young and and shy and have not spent much time away from my husband and i, so we were pretty anxious about finding a nurturing, home-like setting for them. Donna was more than we could've asked for! She took the time to meet with us and our chis before we committed, which really put our minds at ease; she was warm and friendly with us, but, more importantly, she got right down on our dogs' level and made THEM feel at ease! She was concerned about sticking with their routine and all that she could do to make them as comfortable as possible while we were away. Her place was clean, she was completely professional and very reasonably priced. I will always have Donna take care of my girls if the need arises again. read more

Donna is an awesome groomer and takes wonderful care of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Percy spends his vacations with Donna and at the end is a bit reluctant to leave her, he loves her so much. She has great facilities and you can tell she loves the dogs. We drive up from the Bay Area to leave Percy with her for our extended trips and it is so worth it. We couldn't recommend her more. read more
