My buddy and I were gun shopping. We decided to check out this pawn shop, I always enjoyed buying smaller items from here in the past. I over heard a guy walking in and was selling a handgun that caught my eye. While the gun was in limbo, my buddy asked if we could buy it from the pawn shop. We were told it would be up for sale in about 30 days. The guy, original owner of the gun, asked if I was interested in "looking" at it, he was trying to make a quick sell. I said sure and the pawn shop handed the gun back over to the gun owner, since he was still the legal owner, to let me look at it. The lady, older, curly hair, told us that, "If he (gestures to me) wants to purchase the gun they could void out the agreement since he was still technically the owner of the gun, could go outside and we could make a deal. Just not in the store, thats illegal." I did not know we could do that, I had cash in hand with no loop holes, so We agreed to finish talking outside about the pistol. At that time another young lady brought a paper to finalize the transaction knowing it was going to be voided out. He signed the paper to finalize the transaction which in turn would be voided out. They went to get the owner to void it but he walked up and said "Im going to need both of your IDs to trespass you two for making a illegal deal in my building. I pay for the building and utilities and you two would not have known each other if I wasn't here." We told him that his employees said we could void out the deal and finish talking outside, not to buy but to talk. Both employees got loud and said "That's not what we said at all." Which is a lie. The gun owner said "I come here often, this is a store I love to shop at." Because of this i decided $200 was not worth the trouble. So I shook the gun owners hand and told him not to worry about it and to take his money and be on his way. They gave him his money and my buddy and I decided to continue looking at guns. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked to see other guns they had in the glass case. The curly haired lady called out across the room and asked the owner if it was OK for my buddy to see a gun even though he had nothing to do with the transaction that never happened. My buddy said "i had nothing to do with that." She then said with a smile. "You had it in your hands, touching it." He responded back "I never touched the gun." and I stepped in as well and said "that I was the only one who touched it." We asked to pull up the cameras to see but she handed my buddy a gun to look at anyway. We ultimately decided to leave with this bitter experience. Im Officer T.Ortiz, My buddy is an Army Veteran of 8 years for the U.S. military. We are owed an apology for how we were talked to by a pawn shop owner in an establishment that had multiple people watching. To the owner, I understand you have a business to run but the way you approached the situation was uncalled for. You lost 2 customers today that had nothing but positive to say about your business. I know you reply because I see you on reviews. Im waiting for my apology for myself, my buddy, and the other gentleman. What a way to treat Military, Law enforcement, and civilians alike. If I could put 0 stars i would have. I don't even talk to Inmates the way you talked to us. This hostility is uncalled for and unwarranted. read more

Needed to get a new 9mm pistol for myself and looking at the S&W EZ, because I'm getting older and have a bit of trouble racking the slide. Spoke with Brad and explained what I needed and he came through like a champ. Within a day he had a choice of hand guns for me to choose from. Price was much better than any other that I saw online anywhere. Brad even found me two extra magazines, which will really come in handy. Since I was a kid I always had a fascination with pawn shops. Pawn shops always good place to find anything. Best little Pawnshop is no exception. Except the welcome and small town feel i recieved made it memorable. Spent an hour in there looking around. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered ,they were so nice to answer my questions and let me wander around with no pressure. I decided to buy a few items and a Shotgun for my son while there. I came here on a whim one day just to check it out and I'm so glad I did, after a rough month I had to pawn a very valuable family item of mine and Kara treated it as such. She was so nice and professional and I was honestly shocked after having nightmare issues with other shops. She was quick to assure me they would take good care of it and even signed me up for mobile payments which is super convenient. i got a txt before my payment was due as a reminder with all the details of my loan. In my original review for this business, I was pretty harsh after receiving a California-compliant version of the firearm that I purchased. The people at Best Little Pawn Shop reached out to me and were able to explain that this situation was due to a nationwide shortage of the handgun I purchased. I purchased a Glock 17, specifically a MOS variant. It turns out that this model is or was out of stock nationwide at the time of this review. The only reason I was able to purchase one is due to Best Little Pawn Shop's warehouse. They receive stock of the California-compliant SKU so that they can still offer it to their customers. I really appreciated that they reached out to me. They also offered to set me up with a solution so that I wouldn't need to use the 10 round magazines with the weapon. The worst experience I've ever had in my life got ignored because of the way I look at what I was trying to purchase silver and I was trying to buy their 1974 silver JFK when I got accused of soliciting and now they won't let me pay on my item they sold the layaway item and breach the contract while still paying and won't let my father or I redeem store credit or get the item and will not let me pay to keep current with the contract and then when my dad tried to pay they verbally abused him. Now that I've left it alone some how I'm being accused of harassment I have go pro footage of the way you treated me and the way I was acting your a crook and this review will stay up I never lied you lied to the police once asked to leave I waited in the parking lot n got lucky enough to have a lady who noticed who took my phone so what about this is wrong one it's freedom of speech 2 your a liar 3 you verbally abused my dad after you told me to have a family member call to check in the store credit 4 you never provided me with the Ntn number for atf denial!!! I went to buy an alternator and it said it was $78 with a 40% discount. They told me that it would be about $46 and I told them check it for me to see if it would work. They said it wasnt reading the AC voltage and that they needed time to fix it. I was going to pay for it but Scott (the manager) said to hold off until he worked on it. I came back two days later to see if it was still available and they said they were going to sell it for $40. After they contacted Scott and changed it from $40 to $170!! For the same item!! I dont know what kind of customer service they have there but I was not happy. They gave me the same price two different times and then decided to change it last second. Super unhappy... read more

Absolutely the worst attitude that i have ever experienced from any business. I made the mistake of getting an ar-15 receiver send here that I ordered on gunbroker and upon arrival i found out that it was not possible to do the transfer in texas as the receiver is not a rifle until it is built as such, and has to be treated like a pistol. So, in a search for the best solution i asked if it would be possible to transfer the receiver to another ffl. Brett told me that "his buddy that used to be an atf agent 10 years ago" said that he shouldn't do it. So i asked brett if it would be possible if i talked with the atf about it and got an email that said it was perfectly legal to forward the receiver from one ffl to the next ffl to do it then. He said he would be fine with that as long as he had an email from the atf saying it was ok to do so. So i called the dallas office of the ATF and talked with a gentleman and got an email saying it was perfectly legal, as long as i acquire the firearm legally, to transfer from one FFL to another FFL. When i told brett about this email he rudely told me that he didn't believe me and that the ATF would have to contact him directly and he refused to call them. I had the atf agent call him directly and explain what he explained to me. I called brett today to see if he was ok with everything and he said the atf agent agreed with him and it would be against the law. (A lie, because i have an email from the atf, and had a 20 minute conversation with him about the legalities of it) so now to get my receiver i have to pay a transfer fee to the WORST little pawn shop, and $40 shipping to send it back to the seller, then pay yet another shipping fee to get it sent to another ffl to finally do the transfer. If you are ordering a gun online, do not let the cheap transfer fee temp you. These people are not willing work with you in any way, even when you get the atf to give them the all clear. Just to add, due to the comments, which are more lies. All i wanted was to get the receiver sent to Louisiana to an ffl to do a legal transfer. I offered to compensate y'all for the extra trouble because of this being much more trouble than a typical transfer. I offered $20, does that seem like bribe money? Treated my like a criminal because i was trying to find a better solution than paying $100 in shipping to go both ways. Smh. read more
