I ordered custom name badges and specifically asked on October 13, 2025 if the writing would be hard to read in person because the preview looked very faint. Jacob Goodman told me that it only appeared that way on the computer screen and that the printed badges would be clear. That was not the case. When the badges arrived, the names were extremely light and very difficult to read. I contacted the company, but the only solution offered was for me to pay again for replacements with darker text. Someone I work with placed an order with Best Name Badges before I got involved with the project. Before the order arrived, I looked at online reviews and got a bit worried. The bad: it did take a while, and the order had issues and it needed to be re-done. So why 5 stars? The good. The good: they did a very impressive job dealing with the quality issues. It was a tricky order (we tried several other companies that couldn't get it right), and the guy I work with notices the smallest imperfections. After the initial issues, rather than just say it was good enough, they re-did the order twice and sent pictures for approval first rather than just send them out. I don't know how they did it, but I was impressed at how well they turned out. So... if you're reading this, do keep in mind that it may take some time for your order to be shipped. There's even a chance that they may not get it right the first time (nobody is perfect). But if they don't, in my experience at least, they will own the mistake and fix it. read more

Bottom line: Cheap looking name badges and poor customer service. I thought I could order online. I checked all the boxes I wanted and didn't want. I requested the poly dome option. I supplied camera-ready art. THEN, the salesman got involved and I couldn't get a quote until I approved the proof. It was a bit pricey and included a set-up fee that isn't mentioned when you submit online. That's fine. I needed the badges. I paid the invoice. The badges arrived and they look cheap. I think if they had put the poly coating on that I requested they would look better. I used their Live Chat to inquire. The person in the chat made me find the invoice number even though he had it (and actually provided it himself since I was signed in) I explained everything and he said it should be resolved. This took about 20 minutes. Then he said he couldn't help me and I had to write an email. I'm thinking "Don't you work for the company?". Ugh. I have actually been using this company for the past 9-10 years and I have finally thrown in the towel. This place is ridiculous, awful, and they have no clue what is going on. For the past two weeks I have been trying to order new name badges with our new logo. I sent them the vector, font and the names. I would only get one reply to my emails once every 1-2 days and each time I had to explain to them what I wanted. In the span of two weeks I have talked to 3 different people. Each time they send me a proof that is wrong and it takes them several days to respond. Then all of a sudden out of the blue a new person emails me and I have to start all over. I feel manipulated, misled, and duped. Nowhere on the website does it even mention a one-time set-up fee. In fact, the language on the website leads one to believe there is no charge while not explicitly saying that. My customer service representative said in his email to me to 'call anytime.' Upon calling, I was told he does not take phone calls. Misled again! When I asked where on the website I could have found notification of the set-up fee, the answer was, 'it is not there.' I will not be ordering from them again even though they assure me it is a one-time set-up fee. I prefer to do business with companies that have integrity. In my opinion, this one does not...and fortunately, there are other options out there. read more

Woah I guess you get what you pay for! These name tags are cheap and came pretty fast - but SUPER low quality and two were damaged (inside the packaging so it seems someone was aware of the damage and still sent them to me anyway - I probably wouldn't have made the time to write a review if it weren't for that - but come on.....). I was able to file off the weird scuffing and black marks but they look bad. Like really bad. Misshapen. Anyway, you end up getting printing on pretty flimsy plastic and the filed down corners you pay for are a JOKE THEY LOOKS AWFUL. Yeah they look so cheap. I'm so happy our venue is dimly lit and it was a relatively low investment so we can chuck these when it's over and order some better ones. Um... No return call. I called again. No return again. I emailed. No return email. Finally after several attempts, I got in touch with a call who didn't seem at all concerned about my experience. She told me that they had sent an invoice via email and were waiting on me. I asked her to resend it. Before completing payment, I changed my address in the system and of course it was shipped to the wrong location. Absolutely terrible company! I had an issue with a lost package and their response was: "The package was supposed to be delivered. We don't know what to tell you. Go talk to USPS and take it up with them." Starting from the beginning, I get an email saying my package was delivered. But, it never was. Over the next five days I leave 3 voicemails and send 2 emails for someone at the company to try to find out what's going on. Including emailing the customer service supervisor, Sam. After several days I finally get a call back from my account rep. I pick up my phone and there's a bored voice with a nasty attitude that comes on and says, "Uhhh...yeah? I guess someone called from this number and wanted me to call them. Do you need something??" Completely different attitude from the cheery, professional emails she sent me when she was making the sale and taking my money. And once again they can't help me... unless I want to pay them to re-ship my items with premium fast delivery and sky high delivery costs including insurance and pay for it to be certified. Worst. Service. EVER! I began ordering from BNB in September of 2011. At the time, service was outstanding. Always received my orders in a timely manner and was truly impressed with the service. I'm not sure what has happened since then, but beginning in late 2012, as our company started to expand and we started to place more orders, the service went sideways. I received completely incorrect orders, never on time no matter how much I call and try to get assistance. My most recent frustration is that I placed an order on 2/18/2015. I received a shipping notice on 2/23/2015. (Invoice #123762) At the bottom of the email, there's a note that says, "Generally, there is a 99% chance the package will arrive within 1 - 4 business days (U.S. orders) to your address..." I AM in the US and it's been 4 weeks and still NO sign of my order. I contacted Sam, the manager on 3/9/2015 and he assured me that he would put a rush on my order and get it overnighted to me. I never received a FedEx Shipping Notification and of course, never received the name badge I NEEDED by the next day. I have a new Director of Marketing two meetings with no name badge. It may sound trivial, but when you're a small company trying to make a big impression so you can grow, these things are extremely important. When I called today, Andrienne informed me that I should just "email Sam" because he's busy on the production line. I'm not sure what type of customer service tactic this is, but it's one that would get me fired from my own job. At the end of the day, I strongly advise others to consider using a reputable, local business that has your best interest in mind. Not Best Name Badges. I have to say, this is the second issue with terrible customer service I have received from this company. I was sent an email by Sam Dusenbery yesterday, assuring me that the issues I was having with my proof would be resolved and that they "have been extremely busy with new and returning customers." Yet, the issue I was having was not about the time it took to get a response (though, it did take too long, in my opinion) but the fact that I filled out a whole inquiry form stating EXACTLY what was to be done and ended up having to go back and forth way too many times. I might as well have designed the whole thing myself! He also said "I will be calling you just after this email is sent to discuss your concerns." No call was received at either my work or cell phone. So, I called today to follow up with my concerns about the customer service I was receiving and the lack of attention to the initial form I sent out. When I got connected to him, I asked him why I had not received a call and he stated that he did call both numbers, but he got voicemails. I asked if he left a voicemail and he said, "No, I figured you would call back later, much like you're doing now." Absolutely egregious! When you state you're going to call someone and they don't answer YOU LEAVE A VOICEMAIL. I said to him that I had an issue with this, because it seems like he didn't call at all. He then cut me off in a very snippy tone and said "Well, you've called now, what is it you're having issues with?" At this point, I had had enough and stated that we would be taking our business elsewhere. I will also be making it a point to write a review stating my frustrations with the lack of customer care with Best Name Badges on every social media platform I can. If you can't get a simple proof right, why on earth would I trust you with my business? Update: I was contacted by one of the lead managers, Ryan, shortly after I left a review on the "How am I doing?" link of the emails I received from Sam. He explained that he had listened to the call with Sam and completely agreed that he was too aggressive and should have left a voicemail. I told him that, although I appreciate the effort, I would still be taking my business elsewhere. He then tried to win me over stating they were short staffed and he was going to ensure things were made right, but by this point I had had enough. Don't do it!!! Two years ago I ordered a single badge from them to try them out. FAILED! It took almost 3 weeks to get the badge. I ordered the others from another company. Keep in mind they charge a setup fee the first time. Forward 2 years later, I mistakenly order from them again. Their website says same day artwork and badges sent out in 1 -2 days and often the same day. I put in my order for artwork and received the proof in several hours. I made a change and two days later I called to ask where the change was. I'm told "I have 60 emails, we're so busy. The next day I get an invoice with no proof! I emailed back, "where is my proof, I don't want to order without verification that the names are correct. I get an invoice the next day with the two names typed in on the bottom, again no proof. I pay the invoice since I have verification of the spelling. 1 week later to the day, no production. I called and spoke to customer service and she tells me that they are very busy! Great for them but not my problem. She says, "I'll check on the order and see if we can get them made and shipped right away. She was clearly not concerned with my problem. I am looking into stopping payment on my credit card if they are not shipped today! I wish I looked at the reviews first. Their website shows 9.93/10 stars for customer reviews in 2015. I have been a Best Name Badge customer for 7 years. The customer service a few years ago was great! Now, HORRIBLE customer service. I have sent emails that have gone unanswered, I have asked for TWO of the following name badges and they send one, (which is DUH, company, you are losing money), and the last straw was this recent encounter. I ordered and paid for TWO name badges for TWO staff and they billed me for ONE name badge for TWO staff, I just figured they can not get it right, I paid on April 29th and the website and email indicates it will take up to15 days for production, which is a ridiculous time span. I emailed on May 16th and got a less than reasonable response that they are working on them...........I called on May 23rd and the associate who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and loudly told me they were short staffed and my order would be there when it got there! Unbelievable. If we took care of customers with that level of disrespect, we would not have any customers. Do yourself a favor: Find *another business* that makes name badges and use them! I ordered one badge from Best Name Badges to see the quality of their work. Received the badge and it was made wrong; This is hard to understand because when you create an account on their website it captures all the information on the "specs" of your order. I emailed Riel (my BNB account rep) and explained that the badge was wrong. She replied back and said that a replacement would be made and ship in the next week. Several days later I had not received the replacement badge, so I called Riel and she said the badge was in their "rework queue" and she did not have a due date. I nicely asked her to expedite the replacement badge and she said she would see what she could do. One week later I received another badge -and it too was made wrong. My next move was to call their customer service number and ask for a refund. I was told that I had to send an email to Sam Dusenbery who handles customer complaints. I sent my first email and didn't receive a reply from Sam, so I sent several back-to-back emails requesting that he respond. Eventually, he replied and asked what was wrong with my order, I explained the details and again politely asked for a refund. He ignored several more follow-up emails, so I sent one more "Hail Mary" email -and asked him to respond. He eventually replied and said "check your spam filter -I've have replied twice about your refund". I checked -and guess what- no email from Sam. So, I sent one last email and asked him to reply directly back and attach the information about the refund. Several days later (big surprise) -no response from Sam. This company is a true joke. I ordered 2 USA Swimming officials badges and they never sent them. After a month, I contacted them and they claimed to have no record of my transaction. I emailed some so-called manager named SAM who never responded. I sent him images of the receipt as well as the charges from my card, to no avail. With expedited shipping the bill was $51.95, but I needed the badge and so paid the freight. The badge didn't arrive on the date promised, nor the next, nor the next. I work for a growing health care network. We chose to use Best Name Badges based on what their website promised to deliver (quick turn around and wholesale prices). We placed what was made clear to the sales rep would be the first of several orders of $600 worth of badges. What was included in the price was poorly described and required some back and forth to adjust the order before shipping. This is where things really fell apart, as we opted for their inflated overnight shipping of $75. The order was placed early on a Thursday morning with expected delivery on Friday. I received a call the day from sales to inform me that due to a shortage of parts they only shipped out 2 of the 3 components that make up the badge. What took place was the epitome of poor customer service. Sales rep said they could send the balance of the order today via Fed-Ex overnight but that at best it would not arrive until Monday. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a credit on the overnight charges I paid for. I was told that there was no way I could receive a credit. After my explaining that I paid for overnight delivery which I did not get I was told they could do nothing about it. This even after the rep admitted it was their error!!!! When I asked to take the matter to a higher level I was placed on hold while the rep took it to her supervisor. Bottom line is I was offered a $10 reduction.They would rather lose a sale and a potential long term customer than make good on their mistake. Strange way to do business.
