What a delightful surprise - this British placed checked lots of boxes. Food - delicious. Hot pot of tea - yummy. Service - cheerful and warm. Ambiance - very charming British and decorated to bring you in to another country. We ordered 4 different meals: cottage pie, fish & chips, eggs & bacon and pub style chicken curry. Some hot tea, waters and sodas. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I loved the chicken curry. Others did try it and the spice was perfect. I'd order it again! They had a shop inside of tasty foods, beverages, and desserts that can be purchased separately. We enjoyed their experience and will be back.

I met up here with some girlfriends for book club and wasn't sure what to expect. I will say this location aesthetically fits the bill when you think of a British pub. From the double-decker bus that is outside to the decor inside it definitely makes you feel like you're in a British pub. Their menu offerings are your standard British pub fair including fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherds pie, etc. We did notice that they do offer breakfast as well and it looks like they serve it all day long. They had Harp on tap so I definitely had to partake in that and then I got the fish and chips. While it is a large piece of fish, I was disappointed that it wasn't seasoned well and it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. The chips were also pretty soggy and didn't taste like they had been fried long enough. As I mentioned the portion is pretty big so I did end up bringing half of it home. Our server was great though and anytime we had questions or needed anything. She was available, their servers help each other out so you can often times check out with a different server or have them assist you as well.

My husband, my uncle, and I stopped in for lunch at Best of British Pub--and the shepherd's pie and Bloody Mary were the clear standouts of the meal. For drinks, I ordered a Bloody Mary and my husband ordered a Pimm's Cup. Both cocktails were excellent, but the Bloody Mary really stole the show. The house-made mix is incredibly flavorful and easily one of the better Bloody Marys I've had. The theming inside the restaurant is incredible and really adds to the experience. We loved all of the witty British signs and sayings hung throughout the restaurant--it made for a fun atmosphere and gave us a few laughs while we waited for our food. For our entrees, my uncle and I ordered the fish and chips while my husband went with the shepherd's pie. The fish itself was fried well, but unfortunately the chips (fries) were very soggy. The dish overall was a bit bland and greasy, and the fish tasted like it may have been frozen rather than fresh. On the other hand, the shepherd's pie was outstanding--probably one of the best I've ever tasted. It was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The portions are also huge! We also loved browsing the British goods for sale in the small shop inside the restaurant--it's such a fun and unique touch. Pro tip: Order the shepherd's pie and a Bloody Mary. If we come back, my husband and I will definitely be sharing the pie. As the Brits might say, we'll skip the fish and go straight for the pie next time--cheers!

Food was excellent and the experience was fabulous. I had a Bloody Mary and my husband got a peroni beer. All was well. There is even a store attached to restaurant that has Christmas pudding from the Christmas Carol!!!! Service was prompt and attentive! Highly recommend.

This place is as British as you can get, serving up the classic comfort food like fish & chips, full English breakfast, Sausage and Mash, and plenty other delicious items. I chose one of my favorites English dishes, the Cottage Pie - a hearty, comforting meal featuring savory minced beef topped with fluffy mashed potatoes. And the portion sizes are insane! So come hungry! Overall, it's a fun spot celebrating of all things British. Outside there is a red double decker bus that makes for a great photo op, though it would be cool if you could actually explore the inside. The restaurant also features a small British market selling classic snacks - crisps, cookies, chocolate bars. If you are a beer enthusiast, they have a large selection of British beers on tap and in bottles. They also offer an affordable tea time experience, which I keep seeing them advertising it on their website and social media - definitely worth checking out if you are interested.

Came to the Best of British Pub on Subday afternoon to finish watching the afternoon NFL game. What a friendly group of people. They have great craft beer if you like English styles. The service is good. They have a full bar and classic English food options. Later in the evening they had karaoke. Karaoke on a Sunday is definitely a find.

We stopped in here for a quick bite. The ambiance was fun and exactly what I expected for a British pub. They have a double decker bus outside and a cute telephone booth that has a tiny library inside. They also have a little shop with lots of British food items but they don't have prices on anything, which was a bit frustrating. The crisps we bought ended up costing more than the ones I purchased recently from a different British shop. We ordered the sausage roll, fish & chips & the steak pasty. The sausage roll was one of the best I've had in the states! The fish was huge but kind of flavorless so that was disappointing. The chips were pretty spot on though, so good!! The steak pasty was rich & savory and absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back for the steak pasty and sausage roll whenever we're in that area.

The food was delicious, we had scotch egg and sausage roll appetizers, both lovely and enhanced with a bit of HP. The fish and chips were superb, the chips cut from proper potatoes, not out of a bag, and you can tell the difference and fried to a perfect golden brown (cue The Stranglers...). The fish was a nice bit of cod, well battered and fried. BUT the curry sauce. Perfect. Cider on draft and really, really nice and friendly staff made this a wonderful experience. Popped in the shop for some provisions, some very hard to find in Florida, and rounded out the drive home with some chocolate.

Something like a five, this cozy British pub. And rules is rules, they take pub etiquette seriously here, they've even got a sign floating about and all, which might leave you wondering if you didn't know. You see, our server was absolutely most darling and doting ...and then he ignored leaving us unawares we were actually being tended, well-tended by the rest of staff. That's just the way of it here. So while I initially thought we were being blatantly ignored, we weren't. Withstanding, the food was actually deliciously comforting in a warm loving kind of way. Most enviable among other British pubs, likely, and very true to their name sake. The curry pie with all that then, the whole lot, was all that then. Umn yumn. And that Scotch egg, damn it, was one of the most impressive one's I've ever beheld. Easy to see they Love what they do.

Wasn't going to stop but I saw cars in front at 3 pm....good sign. Walked in, four tables of diners and a couple at the bar. I was greeted immediately and told to sit where ever I'd like. Excited that this place and its food would be as authentic as his accent! I opted for outside seating. Interior is nicely lit, some of the photos on Yelp make it seem too white and bright...let me tell you it's just right. Server was prompt and also with accent, Came in search of the fish and chips...did not disappoint. Batter was light and crisp...portion was perfect...chips? Could have been fr longer for my personal taste but they were fresh cut and thick like chips should be. I'll be back to check out other menu items to be sure... ps...loved the bus with the Queen peeking out the window.

We've now been to this awesome place multiple times! My favorite food is the meat pies! So far I've had Steak n Ale and Steak and Mushrooms with the Mash and delicious gravy. I've had the crumpets, desserts, cottage pie, have tried the fish, there's so much variety. Definitely have yourself a pot of tea. I always do. The people are awesome here! I love the owners and the cooking staff and the waitresses! I love karaoke and bingo night! There is also trivia night. The atmosphere is great. We've driven out here multiple times 45 minutes out of the way to catch the good vibes of this place. Especially since they started having karaoke on Tuesday's as well. We've been there for bingo night as well. Really good fun.

Well that all changed over the years as more places opened and competition got stiffer. When the original owner, Derelict Dave, sold to Luis & Gio a few years ago the place got going again. But when the "Bridges Brothers" bought the place it was awful timing as decades of neglect to the plumbing and equipment made the place an Inspection review nightmare! They pumped some money into revamping the motif of the place but all they did was just raise prices it seemed. The quality and choices of food went downhill and the staff was subpar. The initial training of the employees was minimal and it showed in the operational inefficiency. 10 months after opening they bite the bullet and close the doors to stop the hemorrhaging of cash. Another big problem is the landlord is notoriously, cheap, and impossible to deal with so good luck to anyone else who tries to lease out that spot as they will pay through the nose with a zero Tennant improvement!

He said that it was not the cleanest or nicest establishment but that it had since then gotten new management. Parking was ample since the lot is for several other establishments. When we pulled up I was pleasantly surprised by how it evoked the British culture with its styling. The inside was warmly lit and they were having a Bingo night with a $5 entry. We were less interested in the bingo night and more fixated on getting fed. We decided to sit down at the bar as most of the tables were full with families, couples, and small groups of 4-6 people. We were helped by the bartender who was patient and gave us time to take in the ambience and the menu. We decided to share an appetizer and entree. Amused by the name we decided on the Lush Mush. Yummmmm....the port reduction... delectable. For those hesitating on this selection because of the blue cheese fear not! It was not strong but made mild and gentle by the cream. The shepherds pie was comforting and satisfying. A hearty farmer's style meal. We were satisfied. The establishment was clean. We briefly explored the outside bar area which had multiple TV's for sports aficionados. It's a great locals spot for this are of Winter Garden which is a little ways from the main area. There is a secret room to explore which I didn't get a chance to enter. Hopefully, if I return on a weekend it will be open and I'll get to see what is inside. All-in-all I recommend this establishment. With the new management it's off to a great start. They had different events each night including live music, so come on over and stay awhile!
