I ordered a simple ham and cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on everything bagel and it was delicious. There was plenty of ham on it and the right amount of everything else. The bagel was delicious and cooked perfect. I was pretty surprised to be honest because I've lived in the area a few years and I never tried the place. The sandwich was fairly priced at $11 and did not come with a side salad, but that was OK. Amazing price for their weekday lunch special. $8.50 for a sandwich on a roll or bagel, 1/4 salad, and a can of soda. Roast beef w/ cheese lunch special available every weekday. I have been a customer of this place for many years as it is halfway between my house and office. Their prices are the cheapest around but I was extremely upset when I was there this past Thursday. The young kid who prepared my bagel was wearing a T-shirt for Trump. Promoti g a political candidate when you are in the customer service industry is, in itself inappropriate. Doesn't matter if it is a candidate you support or oppose, you are likely to anger someone. Further, the back of his shirt had a depiction of Trump with his middle fingers raised. Came across this place after an early morning errand run. Small place, was packed so that was a good sign. Only waited about 5 minutes, I ordered a flagel with vegetable cream cheese and let me tell you. This was THE BEST FLAGEL/BAGEL I have ever had in my 40 years on this earth!! It was so soft but had a nice "skin" on it. The cream cheese was perfect. Real vegetables. Crispy not soggy like store bought can sometimes be. Hubby got a bagel and home fries. This place has decent bagels. They're not great but I live close by so in a pinch I've come here a few times. Now though, never again. Just went in today (memorial day) for a dozen which the sign says you get 15 bagels. The woman leaned against the counter and rudely said they don't do that today, just a dozen (no signage anywhere to say that) and I believe she expected me to walk out because when I sighed and said "that's fine", thinking they might cost less she barely even moved. I picked a few and asked for one of their rainbow bagels for my 3 year old son and she said she couldn't do that because that's "$2 more." Again, no signage and what? $2 more for a bagel with food dye. I asked then for a 1/2 lb cream cheese, again this woman seems annoyed. Then she rings me up $12 for the 12 bagels not 15 and charges $4 for a half pound of cream cheese (which is the price of a full pound according to their sign). Not sure why this woman was gouging me but before I realized, she took my card, ran to the back and ran my card there for some reason. I walked out and wouldn't recommend anyone come here. read more
