I've driven past this place many times over the years and had never stopped until today. You pay at the front and then you go get your own drink and serve yourself from the buffet bar. They offer different types of pizza, including dessert pizza. They also offer baked spaghetti, macaroni and cheese and chicken wings, in addition to a small salad bar. It was self service, but the employees were super friendly and chatty in the best way.. I had a couple of different kinds of pizza, including the biggest surprise, spaghetti pizza. I'd like to go back sometime when I'm really hungry and can check the place out. I wanted to try the wings, but there was a guy there ahead of me who was plowing through them like a chicken said something about his mama one time. Don't worry about dressing up this is the joint locals come to after church, work, with the kids and grandkids. Staff are helpful, joyful, and kind. Just like your southern grandmother raised you! I have been to your restaurant on 2 occasions. You have really good pizza! You also have an excellent salad bar with all of the common dressings. The place is kept pretty much spotless. Your service people are quite excellent and friendly! No complaints there! For sure! But the best pizza in town is a very large statement! Remember: Nobody out does the hut! No not even you! Don't forget about another couple of local pizza giants: PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA and Domino's Pizza ! You do have a good thing going on with your restaurant! I like it but I don't love it! This is a great buffet don't get me wrong but I feel like there's much to be improved on. There is great seating and the environment is very vibrant. Service was great. However I think that for a buffet there should be more spaces for the food. Wow best pizza in town???? Walked in and there was literally 3 beef pizzas and nothing else on the pizza bar. Salad bar was clean and well stocked. Waitress was extremely nice. After paying for the meal, I realized how awful the bar looked. My 3 year old got cheese and pickles off of the salad bar. I then asked my waitress of if it was possible to get a refund for my meal. I was in the restaraunt less than 2 minutes when I ask for the refund. The manager came out and told me to wait until he put new pizza out. They then put out three new pizzas that also looked very sub par. I ask for a refund again and the manager never returned to the table. I didn't have anything except a glass of water and was not reufunded prior to me leaving. The owner did get into contact with me 10 minutes after I left. He was very nice and now has offered a refund if I return. I did apreciate the call back. Will not ever be back here. I recommend The Pizza House if you must have pizza in Gaffney. STAY AWAY!!!! This was me and my husbands first time eating here while passing through Gaffney from NC. We both enjoyed the buffet so much! The salad bar had a great selection and was very clean. We especially liked the way the items were cut up in small bite size pieces. The baked spaghetti was really fresh and delicious. They had a really good variety of pizza both thin crust and thicker crust. The pizza crust was definitely homemade. The pizza was great!! We really loved everything. The buffet price included our drinks too. This was good quality food at a very affordable price! We can't wait to make a special trip just to come back. I'm not normally a fan of pizza buffets like this, but I was pleasantly surprised during my first visit. I assumed this place was going to be a cheap replacement for the Pizza Inn that closed down a while back, a place that I never enjoyed. I assumed that (like at Pizza Inn) there would be only a few selections of pizza (all on incredibly thin crust), a sad salad bar, maybe some sort of pasta option that was incredibly bland, and chocolate chip dessert pizza. Best Pizza in Town actually has pizza options that are on normal crust. I was SO excited when I saw that. Plus they had a pretty awesome selection of pizza I had never seen before. I'm normally scared to try new flavors, but every piece I tried was original and delicious. Their salad bar was fresh and was more than just a pre-made salad mix with a few dry toppings. Their pasta is AMAZING. It tasted like there was thought and effort (and some amazing spices) put into it. And their dessert pizza... I'm one of the few people that doesn't really like the typical chocolate chip dessert pizza. This place always has a new flavor of dessert pizza every time I go and they're always divine. They once had a red velvet pizza. It was amazing. Overall, I definitely think it's worth the price I paid. Yes, I might have paid a little more than going to another buffet, but I also got more than I would at another buffet. First off I want to say we have been in this restaurant many many times and have for the most part enjoyed it for what it is. We will also never be back due to our last experience. We can no longer support this place because we have several times seen the owner or one of the other employees(i believe he is one of the cooks) be downright abusive to customers, some of them elderly customers. Usually a mean remark if a customer has a complaint or a request. Sometimes we have seen it get actually ugly. Well our last visit the power went out. We had been there before it went out and I had a couple slices of pizza. They had no fresh pies out just old cold pizza so I waited for them to put out some hot fresh food while my companion had some salad. I went outside to smoke hoping they would put out fresh food. Then power went out. We and another family were the only customers and we sat in the dark finishing whatever food was on table(none for me). I was kind of shocked they didnt offer refunds or even a free future visit. When we left I asked about a refund even though I do not feel like I should have had to ask. She got "owner" on phone and I heard him ask her what time my receipt was from. We had been sitting there at least a half hour with no power and the same old cold food sitting there on offer. Then I heard him say no way hes giving refund because I had "enough time to eat". I was shocked so I told him loud enough for him to hear over the cashiers phone that we have been in there like 100 times and wont be back and for him to keep the money and go screw himself. Then one of cooks made a move towards me like he was gonna physically assault me and I took out my phone and walked towards door and said i will call the cops if he wants to start some trouble. He then claimed he was calling the cops because he did not like my language. Whatever. We left. Like I said we have previously seen rhis owner be abusive and disrespectful towards other customers in the past. I dont really need the refund but if he needs my money more than I do he can have it. That and this review is his reward for his awesome respect for his customers. We wont be back unless we hear he sold the place. Enjoy that money dude you earned it. Despite the fact they expect you to eat old cold food we came back here for years. Despite the fact we have seen them act thuggishly towards their loyal customers we have come back for years. No more. Scroll thru these reviews and see how the whiny owner responds to the poor reviews. There are enough other places to spend your hard earned money. Daddy joes is right around the corner for the same price you get service, decency, and great food. I almost look forward to going in , though not all of the wait staff are friendly. It's about a 50/50 chance you're going to get one who has to be called down to get a refill of tea, even when there aren't as many customers in the place. I use to frequent Gatti's in Spartanburg a lot but it isn't as up to par as it use to be. The price at THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN is actually about average, not too expensive and not too pricey, in fact it's actually cheaper than Pizza Inn. The pizza IS the best in town, and you can taste the cheese, unlike many WATER flavor pizza restaurants where you can't taste the cheese at all. Personally I go for the spaghetti, I love it more than the pizza and the tea is fantastic (when I can get glass from a waitress). They make different styles to fit everyone's needs, and they will do requests. Lots of families go in, as do singles, couples, and office workers. it is usually moderately crowded unlike it was when it first opened when it was full all the time. My husband got a large pizza with pepperoni, onion & mushrooms and 8 hot wings for $21. He ate the wings before I got home and said they were huge and had good flavor. The pizza on the other hand could be called the worst pizza in town. We don't know what their crust types are but he ordered 'regular' and the crust was very thin. The sauce looked like it had been put on then wiped off, as you could see the crust through it. The cheese was also very light and the toppings were incredibly sparse, with most pieces having 2-3 pieces each of pepperoni and mushroom. Service is friendly and attentive, even when they are busy with a full house of customers. Prices can't be beat for what you get. This is one of our favorite spots for a quick and inexpensive bite to eat. The pizza is fantastic, although I'd love to see more options for crust besides the thin. The salad bar is your typical offerings, nothing fancy but does the trick. Dessert pizza is great here. They have several to choose from at request. We love the Oreo and Reeses! Not very happy after eating here... there are roaches crawling around near the hot bar.. i watched the cook drop food in the floor pick it up and use it to make a pizza... the language that comes from the kitchen is horrific when you have children with you... the choices of pizza on the bar are pretty good but i noticed that when some people asked for certain pizza the cook was very angry when the ladies told him what other people wanted.. i also got a piece of chicken that wasnt completely cooked and told the lady about it and she went to the back and im assuming told them about it but the chicken was never removed from the hot bar.... i also noticed that one of the ladies was very upset and very verbal when someone didnt leave her a tip... i also seen a tall older guy who is very loud seems to be the owner cussing like a sailor while walking threw the resturant... to me this is not a place that i will be going back to read more
