She has already tried medication prescribed by a doctor in India, but unfortunately it hasn't helped. I was told we would need to come in for a visit in order to receive a referral. During our appointment, the doctor entered the room and immediately said she would refer us to a specialist, possibly for a biopsy, without examining my daughter. That sudden mention of a biopsy was alarming, and I asked if she could at least take a look and possibly recommend any medication in the meantime. At that point, the doctor responded in a dismissive manner and said, "I don't want to try like your Indian doctor." I found this comment extremely inappropriate and culturally insensitive. It was hurtful and unprofessional, and it made us feel judged and unwelcome. When I asked again about the dermatologist referral, she told me a referral wasn't even necessary and that I could book directly. I'm still confused as to why I was required to come into the office if no examination was going to be done and no referral was needed. This was a very upsetting experience, especially considering the respectful care we've received from Dr. Harvey in the past. There was a clear lack of compassion and professionalism during this visit, and I believe this behavior needs to be addressed.

Currently it's been really difficult to get a same day sick appointment, but I find using Walmart Health as an urgent care for things like strep and flu testing is adequate while keeping more complex needs here with Dr. Harvey.

The rooms and all of the hospital are brightly, decorated to attract children and cause them to want to be here. The staff are extremely friendly, very thoughtful, very supportive and encouraging and extremely proficient in their jobs. We are grateful to have a world-class facility so close to our home and our children can use.

I'm having to pay, but instead of treating my daughter, the doctor unprofessionally cried and said she had a hard day and walked out of the room when she didn't want to answer my questions. Fortunately, we found alternative treatment options that gave the care my daughter needed. Dr. Lydia Washer had incorrect information about basic disease processes and did not want to ask for a second opinion. When she had no explanation for my daughter's concerning symptoms, I began to ask her questions. At that point Dr. Washer was completely unprofessional. She began to cry and say she had had a really hard day. She then abruptly walked out of the room and discharged us minutes later without answering my questions or giving any explanation for very concerning symptoms. Had we left and not sought alternative care there could have been a very different outcome. I WOULD NOT TRUST ACHNW WITH THE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN!!!! I have heard too many stories like my own.

When she first arrived the door was locked and even though the receptionist looked up and seen her she did not bother to let her in. After going back to the car and making a call she instructed us to go to the door which was now unlocked. Upon checking in the receptionist began to speak Spanish thinking due to my daughters complexion she was Hispanic do after we spoke English she then was very short and rude with us. I have found the entire staff to be very rude other than the doctor which is why I continue to go. But when I use my online portal someone else is added as my PCP, person I saw is just listed as an option to see them in general, I get communication from another unrelated nurse about my care whom is not anyone I have spoken to. It makes me feel like they actually care very little about their patients.

The medical care provided at this facility tops the quality of care given to me from the VA…read morehospital, by far. It's taken me a while to get used to this southern hospitality from the doctors and nurses here. I have received care from Northwest as well as Washington regional. And none of them come close to the positive experiences I've had here at Mercy. 5 stars all around
