I had just bought some Tommy Bahama shorts and the first time I wore them I ripped a one inch flap in the shorts. I dropped them off to get them repaired. After a couple of days, I picked them up to check to see if the tear had been repaired. I had to really look for the repair done to the shorts. It was very hard to see the tear unless it is pointed out. They have been altering my clothes for years and I have never been disappointed with the quality of work that they do. I would highly recommend them for any of your alterations. Best part is that they are not expensive like some of the other shops in the Houston area. read more

I have taken dress and jeans to be hemmed here before. Great job. I took a blouse and it was perfect. The fit was great and you could not tell it had been altered. The pants I took need the extra material removed. They said they could but when I tried them on it was still noticeable. I told her I don't like that and she said it was fine. read more

I wish I'd read the reviews before coming here. The bad ones are spot on. I dropped off my items and was told to come back in 3 weeks, on a date we agreed upon (her choosing, not mine). When I arrived, she told me some sob story about why it wasn't done - I don't know if it was true or not, but you'll see she's done this before in other reviews. She didn't call to let me know ahead of time, just waited for me to show up. Then she said she could get it done in 3 hours - I thought she needed 3 weeks?!? Then when I expressed I can't just wait around for 3 hours (I don't live nearby and have other errands to run) she said 2 hours, then 30 minutes. When I came back the next day, one item wasn't even done right and I had to wait another 30 minutes for her to fix it. I got a very dishonest feeling from the owner, maybe lazy, too. New to alteration. I was really excited to find this place open on a Saturday. I have never had a professional alteration. I was very happy when I was told it would be ready on Thursday. I went in put on the outfit, I was even given heels and asked if I wanted the legs slimmed. Very nice customer service and told me it would be ready Wednesday. Life happens and Wednesday I had to work late when I got there they were closed. I was sad but felt ok because she originally did tell me Thursday. I left work as soon as possible Thursday and rushed over to pick up my outfit. The same friendly lady greeted me and asked which one it was. I told her the black with sparkles on the shoulders and she couldn't find it. Then she did locate it and she pulled it out and gasped! I did too when I saw the yellow needle she had used to mark the alteration still in placed! IT WAS NOT DONE. My mouth hung open and my heart fell. She asked if I could wait and hour and I was still speechless. Another woman who was in the room said something to her in another language and she said to me "30 minutes you sit? wait?" I shook my head, took a breathe and remembered my husband was in the car neither of us had eaten lunch. I told her I would come back. She said "ok 15 minutes. " My mind was reeling 15 minutes you've had my dress since Saturday and you can be done in 15 minutes? I wanted to cry! I needed this alteration I had nothing else to wear and I just knew it was going to come out wrong. We went to Whataburger and came back. Maybe 20 minutes when we were back she handed me the outfit and laughed "Here you go". I asked to try it in and she "oh yes". It was tangled and took me a minute to figure out how to put it back on. But it looked fine. I paid and left. I will not be back. read more

Brought in a satin bridesmaid dress for alterations. The dress was crooked from the bottom, I didn't noticed until I had my heels on at the wedding. and there were loose threads where she made alterations. $89 for a terrible job. They also don't accept cards. The woman who helped me even made an extremely rude comment regarding my weight/body. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Just go somewhere else. read more

I would not use this tailor. I went in to have a formal skirt shortened quite a few inches from ankle length. I put on the entire outfit including shoes so that I could clearly see what length would be best. The owner was very quick in unevenly pinning up just one side and when I asked her to pin the whole skirt evenly so I could see the length she was proposing she insisted that "it will be even." I asked again and she had quite an attitude as she hastily pinned the rest of the skirt up at totally different lengths. I again asked her to please pin it evenly so I can see which length she was planning to use, and she actually yelled at me, "don't worry-it will be even!" At that point, I realized that I would not get any cooperation from her and I left her shop, never to return. I later mentioned the incident to a friend and she said she had had the same experience a few years ago with the owner. read more
