I rented a 24in trencher for a home drainage & root barrier project at the Woburn, MA location. I…read morepicked it after after 2pm on a Friday so I had it all weekend (max of 10 engine hours) at 1 days rental cost ($320 total with self pickup). I was planning on doing my trenching the following day, Saturday, so I could get an early start & finish. Upon unloading the trencher, placing it in the work site on Friday for the following day I noticed a problem. The rubber mud flap like protection above the blade was chewed up & folded inward not outward causing it to rub against the blade. I took some photos to protect myself from blame & assumed that would be that. Upon starting my trenching the next day I noticed this worn out/defective rubber flap was also interfering with the auger that removes the soil from the trench. Although the trencher worked perfectly, easy to use, first pull start, it was only doing half the designed job. I would need to remove all the would be trenched soil, rock, roots, by hand now. While not wanting to increase the size of the trench by shoveling it out with A typical spade. I took photos of the finished job, documented the issues, then sent them all in an email to the shop manager informing him I'd be seeking a partial refund upon returning the trencher. That is exactly what they agreed to without hassle or delay. The manager didn't put up a fight over the partial refund & made it easy for me. That is not something I'll forget when I need to rent equipment in the future. When there was an issue they did the right thing by me. I don't know what anybody else could ask for other then maybe cheaper pricing. It did seem a bit much for a days rental (though I'm not in that field of work so?) but Home Depot no longer carries this equipment in my state & what heavy equipment rental or project in general ever turned out to be less then hoped for anyhow.

The toilet took some time to order but was well worth the wait as it is perfect. While I was waiting for my toilet Briana was working real hard to try and find me a specific faucet for my kitchen,,,It was an off size just like my toilet so it was not an easy task in finding just what I was looking for ..Just as I was about to give up the search I get a call from Briana who was continuing the search after I left the showroom ,She found just what I wanted!! Really, I've found a variety of odd bolts, downspouts, aluminum channel, and other things that I can never find at Home Depot. And the people know what they're talking about. I'm not saying that no one at Home Depot knows anything, but there's a difference. The pipefitter who's working as a Home Depot as a greeter is a nice guy and I wish him all the best, but the guy at Ricci who knows where every obscure nut and bolt is located does me more good. I haven't compared the prices. I doubt if Ricci is cheaper, but my guess is that they're similar in prices and frequently after I go to Home Depot, I have to stop at Ricci anyway.
