When Tao first came by for a free estimate, he had great suggestions to make the space look larger and more open. We wanted to try to match the existing hardwood floors we already had as much as possible. Tao immediately knew what kind of floors to use and he even had samples on hand so that I could compare them with our current floors. Tao's estimate was very reasonable and comparable to other companies I reached out to. I went with Tao because of his background as a designer and I trusted he would make sure the floors look great! It ended up being a great decision because we are very happy with our new floors! The installation process was very smooth and even finished earlier than expected. The crew was very respectful of our home and did a great job keeping the house clean after their work was done. Any minor issues I found during installation were immediately remedied by the team without any issue. Overall, I would highly recommend reaching out to Tao for your next flooring project!

We needed furniture moved to tight quarters, and for this he recommended a mover he knows (minimum moving fee = 3 hours per visit) who pulled it off within an hour, which required some creativity.

I will start that the floors look good…read more I was verbally disrespected by this company. There was a lack of communication and timing of the entire process. In the beginning, I was not told this would be a two day job. They were late on both days of this job. The time was underestimated each day for the job. They parked illegally in a driveway, blocking two cars access to leave. They left the floors dirty and did not clean up. I wish I would have known that I could have to clean up after them, so I could have planned this additional work. They left the heater at 76 degrees for two days WITHOUT asking me. I had to rush an hour's drive just to turn off the heat. The gas bill will be very high. I was not told that my electricity would be used for this service of floor repair. I was not told that the heater would run for two days. I debated to put 3 stars for the good looking floor, but the cons outnumber the pros.

Tacking on an additional $300. He gave no reason for the up charge. It was a bait and switch. Recently I had a professional crew come in and do some unrelated work. They said, "Who did the flooring?​ They didn't remove the base boards or add any basing. They stuck the flooring directly to the concrete. Wow..." I told them nothing about the floor. Two other floor people whined about the engineered wood and the prefinished hardwood and how much they didn't like working with it, and Juan was like, "Ok, yeah, let's fix it up for you!" He spent time with me to figure out the color, made adjustments in the plan when we realized the risers couldn't be salvaged, and was just fabulous to work with. I've already recommended him to a friend and will have him restore my grandmother's cedar chest. One floor refinisher was almost 2x Juan's price, and one was 1.5x more, and neither were very nice. It was not easy finding a runner I was able to take samples home and after 4 trips to the store we were able to make a decision on a runner. The istallation.was easy and the quote was unbelievable. Its was a lower price then other stores. The price of the carpet was unheard of. I was calling for estimates to other stores and it was a lot less then I got quoted with great installation. When the installer showed to go over the job and recommendations we found out our stairs were 2 different sizes.He had a face mask for protection for the estimate and installation.
