The name is misleading. Standard selection of products until you get ready to pay, then the staff is rude, unwilling to answer questions and seem inconvenienced by having to take your money. They do not have onsite taylors so every hem and stitch takes one week. A fact she could have disclosed when taking my order. Customer service is NOT important to this place. Next time I need something I'll order it online and have it shipped, I'll get a more personal experience than I received here. Don't shop here! read more

I've had to use this place a couple of times over the years. Every time I have I always leave with a strong dislike for the older guy who works there. He is not cordial at all. I enjoy being able to support small businesses when given the opportunity. However, the lady who works here seems less than pleasant every time I come here to purchase something. The Gentleman who works here though, and who is usually in the back of the store, is very good at delivering first-class customer service, thus explaining why I prefer to only purchase something when he is there to help me. I would shop here more if the prices were a little more reasonable and the lady was a bit friendlier. All things considered however, it's really a great store to have in town. read more

I started using Best 2 years ago. At first I was put off by the lack of conversation but after shopping there regularly for my uniform needs I have learned they are great at what they do. Now that I have a working relationship with them they are friendly and the very customer service is amazing. They know what size I need by just looking at me. After trying other Uniform stores I have found that Best is best at what they do. Do not be fooled by the low stars. They are good at what they do. read more

Not impressed with this place at all....My boyfriend bought two pairs of pants from here for his job. Not only were they extremely overpriced, but the hem job they did was awful. After just one wash, BOTH hems started coming out. I took the pants back to the store and told the lady at the counter what happened, and she was so incredibly rude! It's a shame that it's the only uniform store in town, because I know I for one will NEVER shop here! read more

I recently visited this place a few days ago and didn't have a very welcoming experience. The elderly lady was very gruff and didn't seem to be very friendly. She acted like it was a hassle or I was bothering her by asking about the prices of items I was interested in. She seemed to not like her job or serving potential customers, or she could care less if customers bought anything. Plus their holsters, flashlight holders, magazine holders, cuff cases, and other duty belt items are too exspensive compared to other uniform/tactical stores that have better quality or brands in their inventory. All in all going to Best Uniforms was not a pleasant experience. In my opinion, they are too expensive to have customer service that sucks! read more

Ahhhhh this place. As I already said. It is VERY PARTIAL to law enforcement, Caucasian people and Fire. I have been here many times to get my own necessities and even though I'm ready to check out I am ALWAYS told to wait while the above mentioned are getting fitted, asking questions, trying on it just browsing...obviously I am in none of the above career fields. read more

This is by far the Best LE or fire uniform place in Fresno. I had to bring my ballistic vest that was fitted at another place here for Billy (owner) to fix. Uniforms are always tailored right, you feel like family here. read more

Nice store the lady working there was extremely rude. Almost made want to not buy anything. Found the 5-11 pants I wanted then the man working there came out, and was way nicer. Prices aren't bad rather go through Amazon but this was about the same price for pants. read more

I have been part of different Veteran Honor Guards over the past several years. Building my Uniforms back up and having them maintained required adjustments of rank emblems and such. Best Uniforms has the experience that professionals need, for Law enforcement, Fire dept as well as Military personal and other public services. Yes, Their prices are a bit high, but the quality of merchandise and varied lines of equipment, you cant go wrong. I haven't found any place that can beat their uniform alteration prices. Do they know every thing about every type of uniform, No. But if you bring them the proper instructions and know how to have it finished they will make it happen. Best Uniforms...more like Worst Uniforms. I have never been so disappointed in the end product of a uniform in my life. I have used many different vendors and I've had some different outcomes. I was in Fresno on a temporary assignment and needed a new uniform shirt. I walked in and one representative was helping a few other customers, while another representative was sitting on her butt. I waited in the store for almost 45 minutes before I was finally assisted. I asked that the shirt I was going to purchase, be altered to be more form fitting. Professionalism goes a long way with me and when a uniform looks too large it makes me feel less than professional. The representative pinned the shirt for tailoring and I walked it up to the counter. I paid for patches and the shirt and then to clarify asked about the tailoring. The representative who had been sitting and watching the other rep struggle with the other customers, had a smart remark to make, even though I complimented them on the fact they don't charge for alterations. I asked if they could have the shirt done within two days and I was met with another smart remark. I should have just left and not paid then, but I was in dire straights and needed the shirt. I had my friend pick up the shirt for me. She told me the staff had her wait for almost 15 to 20 minutes. She was waiting in line and when it was her turn the representative bypassed her and then helped someone else who had walked in after she came in. So now we get to the why they don't charge for alterations...because apparently they don't know how too. When I tried the shirt on, I noticed that it appeared they had moved the buttons over to make it more form fitting. While this meets the intent, the it also draws the pocket closer together and does not make them symetrical with the gig line. So now I have a shirt that not only looks like a child altered it, but if I decide to take up the hobby of using a wing suit I now have a wonderful uniform shirt to use. Severely disappointed and I won't be going back. read more

I went into best uniforms 6 weeks ago to get some uniform items and they didn't have anything I needed in stock. I wasn't looking for anything strange, just two pairs of size 6 women's BDUs, two small polos, and size nine shoes. What's the point of a uniform store if they don't carry basic uniform pieces? Apparently all of the items I needed were back ordered because it took 6 weeks to receive my uniform. However, this was never explained to me so for six weeks I sat wondering if my uniform was ever going to show up. In addition to this, the lady that helped me was totally rude. I live two hours away from Fresno so when my uniform was finally ready I had my aunt pick it up while she was in the area and the lady who had been "helping" me in the shop forgot to send the pants with her. Everyone makes mistakes but when I called the shop to let them know I didn't get my pants I received no apology. When I went to pick up my uniform for a second time I again got no apology. I guess customer service is dead. I wouldn't recommend getting your uniform items here. read more

The last two reviews were probably written by family members! Best is not the Best in town. The owner gives you the run-around(and she is very lazy), they might be able to sew'n'stich patches but know nothing else about there products or inventory. The city and counties would be better off using a different company for uniforms (not to mention they would probably get a better price). If you have the choice, head over to Mayfairs for your work boots and then over to Metro for your uniforms. Both places have a better selection and are more knowledgeable about what you are purchasing. Unless you work for the city or some other low standard company that prefers low standard customer service and quality. Fair warning: DO NOT SHOP HERE....!! read more
