Just dirty straight up dirty the heater stinks. The bed smells like dirty sheets. The lock to the sliding door , don't lock . The carpet was wet. There's dirt in the corners. I haven't been wiped in. Who knows how long compared to my other stays at other best Western. This is horrible.

    She loved her visit!

Great stay, but sheer curtains in the room NEED To come back. This helps for privacy and adds so much light in the room.

What a great inn to stay at. It definitely deserves more than the average reviews of 3 stars. We stayed for one night, room was clean, newer, mattress was comfortable, amenities was just right. My favorite part was the hot breakfast buffet, and the floor to ceiling sliding door that leads to the courtyard lawn. We didn't use the pool, but we walked our dog on the lawn, which was clean and well maintained. It was worth the value and will definitely stay here again!

    Fuel on the ground

DO NOT COME HERE. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING.....STAY AWAY. OUR FUEL GOT STOLEN OVER NIGHT it was down hill before we even park our truck. I have called hours in advance. The lady told me that is was 100 I total plus the $30 pet fee. That wasn't the case. It was $95 for the room a and $30 pet fee. So we felt like we got lied to. They stated that they had truck parking. Which they do. It was a large paved area. BUT IT WAS FULL. We got there around 7pm. We parked at a not so good dirt lot on the otherside of the best western parking lot. When we got to the front desk, the clerk wasn't so friendly. I keep having to tell her we had a rewards member. It wasn't until after she check us in that I finally got her to link our rewards account. She didn't bother to ask us about the rewards or even give us the water that you usually get when you are a rewards member. I have asked for a king size bed and she ended up giving us a two bed room. Thier business center doesn't work. So I had to walk to the truckstop to get papers printed out. The room was clean. Bed was a little to rough for me. The shower was nice and hot. The next morning, they had a hot breakfast. It was what you expect. Sasuage patties, eggs, toast, cereal, oatmeal. Got back to our truck and found out that some a#&*hole siphon fuel out of our tanks. We were on half when we park and came back to almost empty. I have took some pictures of how the area looked. Whoever stole our fuel, did a pretty bad job. Most of the fuel went on the ground as I can tell. Left our fuel tanks a mess with fuel everywhere.

We stayed 1 night in June 2023. I completed a review for Best Western detailing the disappointment of this hotel. Received an email saying we would get refund, which we have not received. They don't answer their phone. Talked to corporate & they were to contact Anderson hotel and I was told I'd hear from the hotel. Two months later I've had no contact from this hotel & no refund. We are faithful Best Western customers, but this has really been bad customer service especially after sending an email saying we'd get a refund.

SKIP THIS PLACE if at all possible. This place lacks cleanliness and friendliness. This is exactly why I prefer to camp or travel in my van conversion than stay in a unfriendly, dirty place. The room (refer to images) had bloody boogers on the walls (yes walls) the door handle and door had dirty fingerprints all over, the light switch panels also had dirty finger prints, the bathroom door frame looked like it had black mold growing on on it. The room had a weird chemically smell to it yet obviously has never seen a good cleaning. If you're sensitive to aromatics then skip this place. Summer the "manager" checked us in and she was there when we checked out. Both interactions with this person were not pleasant. She argued with us this morning that she told us that breakfast was from 6-9 when last night upon checking in she CLEARLY said until 10am. Then again it's a blessing we missed breakfast, considering how filthy the room was, I would not doubt the kitchen is also filthy. It's apparent that Summer needs more time off, go back into training and learn customer service, how to greet folks and it wouldn't hurt to smile. She is is sad face to have represent this establishment. I will never stay here I would rather drive straight through this odd smelling town and crappy hotel. The only positive experience of this stay was the working WiFi and the nice maintenance man who came to fix the broken TV last night.

A bug I smashed in the filthy floor.
    Pamela G.

Flies, flies, flies. And where there are flies, there are maggots. While we didn't see any maggots, they had to be somewhere for there to be so many flies in the room. Not only was the room filled with flies but there was also some type of mystery bug that I squashed on the bathroom floor. And speaking of the bathroom. It was filthy. The bathtub was sticky with accumulated soap scum. We meticulously checked the beds for bed bugs and found none, thank god, as this was the last room in the valley on Thanksgiving weekend. Best Western, this really is the last straw, I'm finished with you.

Despite there being nobody around, I was required to wait more than 10 minutes while the receptionist Renee had a lovely heart to heart chat with someone on the phone. Even though there was no reason to do that because I arrived before the phone call happened. I was then given a room with nice view of the parking lot thought the hotel was empty. The rooms are on the small side but freshly renovated. It was really like a glorified Motel 6 room. Not much sound proofing and I was glad I remembered earplugs. Overall the place seemed nice enough, especially for its location. It worked for what I needed. Originally I had this at three stars, but I rounded it up to four because after getting over the initial arrival issue the stay was decent.

Yes, it's a small room, but for one night it was perfect for us. I appreciated that it was close to a restaurant. This is noteworthy because I had driven from a bright blue atmosphere into the dark/dank inversion layer that was blanketing the entire lower altitudes, hemmed in by the surrounding mountains. I was approaching the final leg of my route--152 to (Gilroy) to 101 to (Silicone Valley)--when I decided to refuel at the closest station, just up the road in Santa Nella. While refueling, I thought about the route, specifically 152, which is winding through mountains and has some narrow 2-lane sections; then there is 101, which is a very fast and can be congested road. I looked at the bright lights around me, the welcoming motels/eateries/overnighteries (which must be expensive), and wondering if it was worth it to do the final two hours in the VISIBILITY limiting inversion layer. No, my wife, son/DIL/grandchildren would understand, so I sought out the least expensive option, overnighting where the light is always on for me, Motel 6. I entered the office to meet friendly Liz, who did have a room available for a single male/non-smoking/no pet traveller. Seeing my stick, she queried me about needing a ground floor room, but I, fearful of a huge price tag, declared upstairs was OK. It turns out it was NOT OK. It was bloody cold; there were NO in-room controls to adjust temperatures, though I could turn the fan on or off. It's a good thing I had ample cold-weather clothing! The room had the usual amenities of TV-remote/mini-fridge/microwave and was kind of large. But the bed was terrible; way too soft and saggy! I was sure my back was going to suffer. I wished I had spent the extra bucks for the ground floor room! Other than receptionist Liz, I did not enjoy this overnight. If you stay here, do not take any rooms on the second floor, and I'm uncertain about the Ground floor rooms. Unfortunately, the ice machine was not working.

I was traveling from San Diego to San Francisco and knew we would need a few hours of sleep, so I called ahead around midnight to confirm availability. I let them know we would arrive around 2:00 AM. The gentleman on the phone was polite and confirmed a rate of $122 plus tax, with payment upon arrival. When we arrived at 2:00 AM, the front desk experience was immediately uncomfortable. The woman working the desk seemed irritated that we were there at all. When I asked for a room, she quoted $156. I calmly explained that I had just spoken with their reservation line and was quoted $122. She responded bluntly, "We don't price match," and said she didn't care who I spoke with. She then told me that if she honored that rate, she would also charge a $50 early check-in fee. While standing in the lobby, I called the reservation number again and was once more quoted the $122 rate. While I was on the phone, the front desk attendant was frantically texting someone on her personal phone, which felt very odd. The reservation agent placed me on hold and called the front desk directly. I was standing right in front of her while this happened. She told them she could not honor the rate because she had already "done her checkout for the night." I genuinely felt like I was being taken advantage of and that the refusal was personal and spiteful rather than policy-based. To make matters worse, the front desk employee then walked into the back and took a call on her personal phone. As we were preparing to leave, I saw a large cockroach scurry across the lobby floor. That was the final confirmation that leaving was the right decision. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel or its customer service, and this experience was enough to ensure I will not stay at a La Quinta again. I will be reporting this experience to corporate, and I strongly suggest management re-evaluate overnight staffing and customer service standards at this location. Sometimes the universe steps in for a reason. This was one of those times.
