Miserable experience! The room had multiple bugs, holes in comforter, hair and sink, the shower only had cold, hot water, and the mattress was crazy lumpy. The lighting in the room was so dark. It was hard to see around the room. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel for anyone read more

I have stayed here on three separate occasions and each time the rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms are extra large in comparison to most Best Westerns, which is nice. What a great inn to stay at. It definitely deserves more than the average reviews of 3 stars. We stayed for one night, room was clean, newer, mattress was comfortable, amenities was just right. My favorite part was the hot breakfast buffet, and the floor to ceiling sliding door that leads to the courtyard lawn. We didn't use the pool, but we walked our dog on the lawn, which was clean and well maintained. It was worth the value and will definitely stay here again! read more

DO NOT COME HERE. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING.....STAY AWAY. OUR FUEL GOT STOLEN OVER NIGHT it was down hill before we even park our truck. I have called hours in advance. The lady told me that is was 100 I total plus the $30 pet fee. That wasn't the case. It was $95 for the room a and $30 pet fee. So we felt like we got lied to. They stated that they had truck parking. Which they do. It was a large paved area. BUT IT WAS FULL. We got there around 7pm. We parked at a not so good dirt lot on the otherside of the best western parking lot. When we got to the front desk, the clerk wasn't so friendly. I keep having to tell her we had a rewards member. It wasn't until after she check us in that I finally got her to link our rewards account. She didn't bother to ask us about the rewards or even give us the water that you usually get when you are a rewards member. I have asked for a king size bed and she ended up giving us a two bed room. Thier business center doesn't work. So I had to walk to the truckstop to get papers printed out. The room was clean. Bed was a little to rough for me. The shower was nice and hot. The next morning, they had a hot breakfast. It was what you expect. Sasuage patties, eggs, toast, cereal, oatmeal. Got back to our truck and found out that some a#&*hole siphon fuel out of our tanks. We were on half when we park and came back to almost empty. I have took some pictures of how the area looked. Whoever stole our fuel, did a pretty bad job. We stayed 1 night in June 2023. I completed a review for Best Western detailing the disappointment of this hotel. Received an email saying we would get refund, which we have not received. They don't answer their phone. Talked to corporate & they were to contact Anderson hotel and I was told I'd hear from the hotel. Two months later I've had no contact from this hotel & no refund. SKIP THIS PLACE if at all possible. This place lacks cleanliness and friendliness. This is exactly why I prefer to camp or travel in my van conversion than stay in a unfriendly, dirty place. The room (refer to images) had bloody boogers on the walls (yes walls) the door handle and door had dirty fingerprints all over, the light switch panels also had dirty finger prints, the bathroom door frame looked like it had black mold growing on on it. The room had a weird chemically smell to it yet obviously has never seen a good cleaning. If you're sensitive to aromatics then skip this place. Summer the "manager" checked us in and she was there when we checked out. Both interactions with this person were not pleasant. She argued with us this morning that she told us that breakfast was from 6-9 when last night upon checking in she CLEARLY said until 10am. Then again it's a blessing we missed breakfast, considering how filthy the room was, I would not doubt the kitchen is also filthy. It's apparent that Summer needs more time off, go back into training and learn customer service, how to greet folks and it wouldn't hurt to smile. She is is sad face to have represent this establishment. I will never stay here I would rather drive straight through this odd smelling town and crappy hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, but the receptionist is all the more reason to not stay here. There's no name tags, but she has blonde hair. I checked in closer to 5pm. She had a bad attitude to me. I feel so bad for the other girls she works with. She talked very angry towards me and was clearly annoyed when I had asked about joining rooms. I've seen her a few times before when i stay here and she was bad then to customers. My English is not always good and she yelled that I not sound Spanish. I don't know if it's a discriminatory thing or what. If you stay here be warned for the lady with blonde hair. Upon further investigation, by talking to other frequent hotel guests, I have learned that the front desks, worker name is Tammy. We reserved a room at this motel to attend a funeral. We checked in late. At 6:00 in the morning, I heard someone trying to get in the room. I asked who it was, and there was no reply. Someone said, "Someone's in the room." The door started to open, and I slammed it back closed and threw the latch on. When I called the front desk, they said their co- worker didn't put us into the system and wanted us to come down to fix the problem. No, thank you! But how were they able to give us a card key if we weren't in the system? It sounded too fishy. Five minutes later, all the power went off, then back on again. We received no apology or room comp. Flies, flies, flies. And where there are flies, there are maggots. While we didn't see any maggots, they had to be somewhere for there to be so many flies in the room. Not only was the room filled with flies but there was also some type of mystery bug that I squashed on the bathroom floor. And speaking of the bathroom. It was filthy. The bathtub was sticky with accumulated soap scum. We meticulously checked the beds for bed bugs and found none, thank god, as this was the last room in the valley on Thanksgiving weekend. Very clean, updated rooms. Beautiful garden courtyard area. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast spread was fabulous: sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, coffee, juice. Despite it's location it was not noisy at night, rooms are well insulated so you don't hear any traffic or noises from nearby truck stop. We had a great nights sleep. We will definitely be returning! Paula checked us in and was very nice. Made sure to check that we had AAA & reduced the rate for us. Yay!!! She was very warm & let us know about breakfast, wifi, pool, parking, & let us know to call or stop by the office of we need anything since it'd be open late. She also gave us coupons to Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant across the parking lot. Definitely go there, it was yummy! Breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. Make your own waffles with various toppings. Juices... Bread & Pastries... Slept well in the bed. Numerous pillows. TV worked :) A/C was in wall but above head and not on the floor. Cooled the room well. All the entry doors faced the parking lot, so the sliding glass doors faced inwards toward the pool & green area... not bad. Wonderfully clean room; sweet and simply courtyard. Right next to Pea Andersons and a cute little Loves. Directly adjacent to a truck stop. Alicia greeted me and was wonderful, kind, compassionate, and so accommodating. I was so tired from driving I could barely see straight and this was my little Oasis, my saving grace on a long trip. Pea Anderson's was good, too. There are a few stray cats that roam the property from the truck stops nearby and it was pretty charming. read more

The pros - price and the quaintness of this hotel. It's pretty cute and all the rooms seem to look out on green lawn and the pool. The BED was awesome - very comfortable and lots of good pillows which is very important! Also - air conditioner works awesome which is also very important!! imo The cons - it smells old - also the water pressure in the shower - it is not good. The temperature of the water was ok but I really don't like taking a shower in a little stream of water. I would stay here again- time to go get some breakfast- enjoy your day! read more

Accommodations are pleasant. Front desk staff is nice. Manager... is nonexistaent? I was chagred twice for a one night stay 2 weeks ago. BW corporate cannot help, only the on-site manger... who is. Never. On-site. Not great for business when even BW corporate cannot get a hold of the manager. Meh. Stayed here last night and it was a let-down from what I expected. It's definitely a "motel", though Best Western's web site doesn't indicate that (calling it an "inn"). I'm not a fan of motels - I don't like the door opening straight outside, especially when you're right on the highway. This place is at the intersection of I-5 and Highway 33, so the roads are busy 24x7. Anyway... room was ok. It had a queen size bed but clearly was designed for a king size bed - the nightstands were still a half-foot away from the bed. It was weird. "Complimentary continental breakfast" was from 6am-9am, and we did not get up in time for breakfast so no comment there. Pea Soup Andersen's is next door and they even deliver. Not bad if you have to stay in the area, but I'd try the Holiday Inn Express across the freeway instead (it looked newer and nicer). read more

They hotel has no cameras in the front lot and the staff seems no to care what happens there. We were met with an excellent check in and accommodation for a large car trailer. We were able to park our trailer right outside our room which was recently remodeled and quite comfortable. The Anderson split pea restaurant shares a parking lot so that was very convenient. At 7:30 PM , we were seated immediately but it filled up quickly. The soup was delicious and we split a dessert. A great place to stay in the San Joaquin valley. read more

Room backs up to a truck stop. You even have a warning about Carbon monoxide in your room from the trucks running outside. Wind was blowing the other direction when we were there so not a problem, just be aware of this. Our biggest problem was the the bathroom smelled like puke. Freeway access is great though. I had a long drive home to Riverside County from Northern California, so I decided to stop halfway at this property. I chose Best Western Andersen's Inn partly because of sentimental reasons - I have so many memories from childhood of the Pea Soup restaurant nearby. I wish I'd gotten the name of the check-in clerk who was on duty when I arrived at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th. She was very quick and very friendly. It was much appreciated. I also appreciated being able to see my car from the room she assigned me to, which was very spacious with a sliding door leading out to a nice balcony area. The clerk also handed me a menu from Anderson's Split Pea restaurant so that I could quickly and easily order dinner - which was delivered in less than 20 minutes! The tub in my room (#223) was a little dated and didn't want to hold water - which was a bummer because I was really needing a long, hot bath that night, but this experience still warrants five stars because of the amazing friendliness and helpfulness of the staff from the start of my stay until the end of it. I had a 600-plus mile drive, and when I arrived at the hotel halfway through this trip I realized there was a part of some sort dangling from the undercarriage of my car. In the morning, front desk clerk Danielle Calderon dispatched maintenance man Manuel to assist me. He was SO kind and quick - he crawled under my car, removed the dangling item, and assured me I could continue safely on my trip home. Just amazing customer service and courtesy. Even the housekeeping staff greeted me with a smile that morning (Sunday, January 15th). Yes, as other reviewers have noted, this is an older property that might need a few renovations. But I slept soundly in a clean, large room - and although I didn't partake there was a large, free breakfast available the next morning. And the CUSTOMER SERVICE at this property was amazing. I hope these employees are properly recognized for that. Thanks, guys! read more
