Very surprised with this hotel. We planned a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We were tired and decided to spend the night in Santa Nella before heading to our destination. There are areas that could improve but I'll list the good stuff first. Our room was in great condition, carpet was clean, room smell clean. Bed was comfortable. Front desk employees were friendly. Good water pressure. Hotel is being remodel and hopefully they work on the landscaping of the building, they seriously need that. Coffee in room was not good. I reserved a room for two nights, going and coming on a business trip. After driving all day with shoes on, I took them off upon arrival, not long before showering. The soles of my feet, only in contact with the carpet, were black when the water hit them. And, the shower drained slowly. Hoping this was a one-off, I stayed there on my return. Different room but same story, second verse...it got worse. Blackened feet again, and by the end of the shower the water was up to my ankles. I wore socks in the room the rest of the stay. Look no further! This is the one. Affordable rate, clean room, pet friendly, they have a roll away bed if you need extra for sleeping. (Family of 5 here) Breakfast was hot and good. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee and juice etc. location was quiet except for the birds in the morning, no complaint there! Cats on premises, not a bad thing in my book. Solid motel experience on all levels. Clean, all amenities, nice towels, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, comfy bed, breakfast, pool, quiet, friendly staff. A/C was manual, but I found a good temp. One ding on wifi which lacked basic security, but at least it was working and fast. read more

After a long and stressful day of traveling the employee working, Aysa, was friendly and welcoming. I had a late check in and Aysa was extremely accommodating and made sure I was able to get my room. Not only that but I was very concerned about where I could park my moving truck where it would be safe and out of the way. He gave me instructions on where to park my truck with plenty of room and cameras on it h assured me he'd be watching all night. I was very appreciative of his professionalism. read more

Do not stay at this hotel if you don't want your vehicle broken into. The staff will not help you. We had parked our truck in the back parking lot near the field. We asked at check in if it was safe. The desk clerk said "Yes" and everything was under video surveillance. The next morning when I returned to my truck, it had been broken into. All my tools were gone, my $300 Otter Box Ice Chest, Jackets, Air Compressor, work records, check books, and my stereo had be pulled out of the dash. They were unable to remove the stereo totally, but did enough damage to it to render it inoperable. The staff was very unhelpful when informed of the incident. They called the sheriff, but that was all they were willing to do for us. It was like they just wanted to wash their hands of us and get us gone. When asked if we could review the video footage, the front desk manager (Summer) refused and told us it will be turned over to the Sheriff. Today I called the Hotel and asked if they had given the footage to the Sheriff and if anything had been found. The front desk clerk refused to tell me anything and hung up on me. I then called back again and was told that she had no notes of the burglary and to call the police. When I asked her to ask her coworkers, she refused and hung up. So, I called a third time and got the manager (Summer) who was there the morning of the break in. She refused to answer the question if anything had been captured on the video or not. She refused to answer a simple yes or no and kept trying to push me off on the the Sheriff Dept.. I informed her that the way Quality Inn treats victimized customers is bush league. I let her know I would be make quality Inn famous on Social Media. So, I then call the Sheriff's Dept and leave a message. The Sheriff calls me back, but he's not calling me to talk to me about my original message. Turns out he's calling me because the manager (Summer) had called and lied to them. telling the Sheriff I had threatened them. I am so disgusted with Quality Inn and it's management. They are a shining example of how not to treat customers and lack of security. I will be sure to tell everyone I know so they never go through what I and my family went through. It's appalling to me that after all the history of vehicle burglaries, this hotel still refuses to have security patrolling the parking lot. I wish I would have read the reviews before staying there. read more

This Quality Inn has a record of cars being broken into. Many after the staff has not only told patrons it was safe to park there but told them exactly where to park "out by the field". We stayed here several years ago and things were fine. But on our road trip home a day ago, things were not so good. The situation had changed for the worse. Upon arrival we noticed that the exterior of the motel looked pretty sad and run down. We were told that renovations were in progress. We had a good nights rest but woke up to find that the soles of our feet were dark black! The carpet was so dirty in our room that we had picked up a layer of filth that coated our feet with dirt. Upon stepping into the tub to take our morning shower we each left dirty footprints. My family and I then went to get our supposedly included hot breakfast before checkout. We showed up at about 8:20 AM, not early but not late. There was very little left of the hot breakfast. A few dried up sausages and all of the scrambled eggs were gone. We went back to our room and packed up. We checked back to see if the food had been replenished but still nothing to eat but dry cereal. We complained to the receptionist who said we should have said something earlier. She offered no compensation for our bad experience. Suffice it to say we will not be going back to this dirt bag motel. Bottom line: Avoid! Do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else. read more

We have stayed here many times during our trips from Arizona to Washington. The room has always been fine and the breakfast good, before covid. No breakfast to speak of now On this trip we somehow left our laptop computers in the room! The manager, John, arranged to have it mailed securely to us here in Washington. His concern and quick attention to the matter is very much appreciated. Its reasonably priced and dog friendly. The area around the motel seems a bit sketchy but we have never had any problems. read more

Nice little place that'll pleasantly surprise you in the morning if you check in at night. They allow dogs but there's no Urinetown indication at all. Clean, nicely laid out with pool, hot tub, gazebos, barbque grills, etc. Breakfast in the a.m. We'll be back with Foxy. read more

If you are expecting the WORST, you have found it!!! The room comes with free pets-cockroaches. When we discovered the cockroaches the clerk asked how many were in the room and offered a can of spray to kill them. We moved to another room only to discover there was unfinished construction taking place. We decided an unpainted bath ceiling was preferable to cockroaches. The next morning my wife observed numerous dead cockroaches and other smaller bugs in the bathroom light fixture. In the morning, I discovered the hot water smelled like rotten eggs. What more could go wrong? We decided to try the "hot breakfast". The coffee was hot but that was the extent of it. The breakfast consisted of cold sweet rolls. Also, their ad promoted a swimming pool. That was closed because of COVID-19. The owners of this establishment had at least 15 months to fix their ad, but instead chose to be deceptive. This hotel has been my go to for the past several years on my way up to Nor Cal from So Cal. I always stay on the second floor. There are a lot of bugs outside in the summer time. You are in farm country central Cal after all. I have never seen bugs in the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are clean and quiet. And they serve a large continental breakfast in the morning. They have a large pool in the courtyard that I've never had time for and I've always seen it empty. They are a dog friendly hotel and my dog has been happy staying here when I've brought him before. I wish the "nicer" hotels were this nice. The AC works well and is quiet. Pros: friendly front-desk staff nicely sized rooms that are furnished well bed was pretty comfortable parking is easy and plentiful quiet setting and they are a pet-friendly hotel (charged $20 total for my two small dogs) with a decent area of fields next to & behind motel to walk dogs In-N-Out Burger just down the street Cons: None, really. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! 1: My two year old found a used bent hypodermic needle under the dresser. 2: We found bed bugs in our luggage when we got home. Insect guy is coming by to spray our house tomorrow for $1,400. 3: About 3:00 in the morning we heard some banging outside and looked out the window to see someone trying to break into our car. 4: When we told the office manager (Summer) the next day about the needle and the burglar she literally said "humph" and showed no signs of concern at all. I booked a room through Expedia. I know some hotels can be total jerks about Expedia bookings, and this Quality Inn is no exception. Due to Hurricane Matthew, I was literally on hold with Expedia for 4 hours trying to cancel my reservation. Turns out, since I paid Quality Inn directly, they had to approve it and they DENIED my refund on my cancellation. Now, I had tried to call them first, and was told "You have to call Expedia for the refund" even though they are the ones who charged my card. I was also told that their policy was as long as you cancel before 6pm the day of your check in, your fine. Apparently thats their policy........but only for straight bookings. They've crafted some sh*tty rule (that I was never told) that if you book on Expedia, they won't refund you at ALL if you cancel. Going over all my emails, this was not ever mentioned....but the manager at this place just doesn't care and it seems like a crappy scam to screw their Expedia customers. I travel a lot for work and I've never encountered a hotel that won't refund your money if you cancel within the right times, which is usually 24-48 hours. I started calling three days before my reservation, well within the industry standard time to cancel without penalty. I think these guys just mess with people because there aren't many other places to go if someone wanted another hotel in that spot. Sorry, but this doesn't make me want to book directly with you, Quality Inn.........this makes me want to never stay at another Quality Inn again. Buyer beware, especially if you book through a third party site. These guys will totally screw you. I very likely won't select Quality Inn for any future travel. read more

I have been stopping at Santa Nella as an overnight rest since the early 1970's. I have watched as one hotel after another has been added along with one gas station after another. Then the Anderson's Split Pea Soup restaurant was added. I have stayed at every hotel/motel at this junction of I-5. This was my first time at the QUALITY Inn and it will not be my last. Best night's sleep on our two week road trip. You get the best rate by contacting Choice Hotels chain. Do not book this through Expedia or other booking services. A couple of dumbassed Yelpers booked through Expedia even after I wrote this review. Some people cannot read. Naturally, it was not their fault that they didn't read. My boyfriend and I booked a room here at the last minute. We decided to stop driving after a long day so that we wouldn't get home exhausted after 1am. I booked the hotel on my phone using Priceline. The lobby is weird! It contains miniature fake storefronts, one of which is actually the dining room. Kind of a funny, surreal setup. If I hadn't been so tired I'd've taken a picture. The gentleman checking us in at the front desk was cranky, did not smile and would not make eye contact. His surliness was the worst part of our stay. I'm sorry for whatever's going on with you, sir, and hope things get better. The room was clean and comfortable. It looks like the hotel has been updated recently. Plenty of outlets, nice tv. The wifi was not great, but that has been my experience in all hotels in Cali. Breakfast the next morning was fine. Cereals, toast/bagels, fruit, yogurt, and a hot bar with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, and pancakes. I'd definitely stay here again. no wonder why holiday inn dumped this place!! dog poop everywhere!! watched a lady right outside of my room, in front of the pool spa, let her dog take a giant poop then left it. so i looked around and there was dog poop everywhere. no wonder the place has flys everywhere also. can't sit at the pool without flys. opened our door upon arrival and have not been able to get the flys out!!! no lies here! this morning came out the fast food garbage all over pool area. cigarette buts stomped out and left all over the second wood floor and pool area. a half eaten slice of pizza thrown on the walkway inside the complex and maids walking right past it. the facility it self is looking extremely old and deteriorated. it's very sad to me. we have been coming here for years. it has always been a wonderful place to relax and recharge. quality desperately needs to re figure their dog policy it's poop city here, also they need to put some money into the facility and have some informed rules to contain some of the garbage people this place attracts. at this point, this place is disgusting !!!! UPDATE 9/16/2015 The Hotel did respond to my complaints but offered Nothing to us like a discount or anything to regain us as clients, Did not say anything would be changed to remedy the situation at this facility. It seemed like the girl representative of the Hotel really did not care if we returned or not. Very sad! This place is the example of how a hotel should be. I came in late around 11pm with my two children and my dog. The lady who greeted me was very kind and even waved my dogs stay as a "service dog" which she did not have to do. With my military discount the night was under $90 for a two bed. Knowing what I paid, I figured the rooms were going to be less than average. The room I got was very up to date. VERY clean. I inspect every inch of hotel rooms before I stay and this place was beyond clean. I am extremely impressed with this place. The breakfast in the morning was just like any continental breakfast. Fruits, cereal, oatmeal, fresh pancakes, muffins, biscuits and gravy... And everything was constantly being checked to make sure all the selections were fully stocked by the very nice lady running the breakfast. I would stay here again in a heart beat. read more

Although this is a pet friendly hotel, it looks as though no one cleans up after their pet. There are feral cats roaming around. The walls are so thin we could here the conversation of the people on each side of us. We were woken at 3 a.m. by the people in the room above us walking around and whatever else they we're doing. The breakfast would be the best part of this hotel and even that is mediocre. The room was clean but that's all I have to say about it. Stay here as a last resort. read more

Nice roadside stop and a little farther from I-5 than the freeway frontage places. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Some stuff is looking a little tired (door dings and the bathroom door didn't close all the way), but the shower worked well and the staff was very nice. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, etc. I gave it 4 stars for facilities in its class. I would definitely stay here again! read more

Stay here. It fits the bill. Nice roadside hotel to stay the night between big cities on your California drive. There is complimentary BFast with eggs, etc... not just continental. The pool is big and parking is near. Front desk workers are very kind both over the phone and in person. Can't give it 5 stars cause it's just a Quality Inn, but it's better than most 3 star hotels for real! read more

Very good motel on the interstate, very clean and big room with 2 queen size beds for $80/night + tax. Swimming pool and jacuzzi seemed nice, but didn't have time to try it. Free breakfast, but the salty food options are very limited and not very good, compensate with freshly baked muffins and scones and on demand pancakes. Lots of options to dine around, most of them open 24/24. Minus one star for the lack of microwave in the room. read more

My husband and I stopped here while traveling to Portland, Oregon his month, we loved it. Reasonably priced, great staff, friendly, helpful and informative. The room was exceptionally clean, great setup, and quiet, we had the breakfast the next day and found the food to be fresh, lots of selections, and the breakfast room was extremely comfortable and clean. We stayed at two other Quality Inns on our vacation because of the experience we had here, they were all nice, but this one was by far the best. Kudos to the management and staff. We made a point of staying here again on our way home even though it meant a longer drive. read more

We had cockroaches in the room, badly kept grounds, a large pile of dried vomit outside the rear gate which had been there for some time. The rugs were filthy.
