This is an above-average outlet of Best Western, and I'd stay here in a heartbeat. Rooms are clean and in good repair. There's a limited hot breakfast served from 6:30-9:30am and it's surprisingly decent. Check-in is fast and friendly, though be sure to ring the bell as it doesn't appear that the front desk is staffed at all times. While there is parking, the spaces are VERY cramped. Also, you're near the loading zone for the nearby brewery and a vintage train station, so during the day you'll hear a lot of diesel engines. However, it's reasonably quiet at night. The hotel's location isn't sketchy, so you won't be worried about leaving your car in the lot. While there's not a lot within walking distance, there's tons of excellent restaurants within a short drive. Definite recommend if you're on a budget and are visiting the Cedar Park / Austin area. read more

The carpet was quite dirty, and there was a smell that, while smoking is no longer allowed, it was in the past, as the smell lingers. There was a refrigerator and a microwave, which is convenient. The bathroom was clean, and there were clean towels. The blinds at the front window didn't work, so I had to turn on all the lights since the outdoor light was unavailable. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't stay here again. read more

Update: i just added a picture of bites on my back/arm area. I have them on both sides and my hands. I didn't have them when I went to bed & no, I didn't take the time to check the bed before going to sleep. There were a couple of stain dots on the pillow in the morning that looked like dried blood. Terrible, no maid service and several things didn't work.A light and alarm clock didn't work. Crappy experience overall.

First things First, the staff was friendly and polite. Unfortunately that's where the good stopped. The first key that was given to us to room 200 didn't open the door. So I went back down the stairs and told him. He didn't believe me I guess and tried it for himself which had the same result. He ran back to the desk and gave us a different room, 203 and that one opened up. So, cool, have a room now and we're pretty tried. The room was, uhm, dated to say the least which no big deal, right? Overall the room was clean and didn't have any strange odor so off to sleep we went after I took a shower which brought up some other down falls. The water pressure was so low at times the stream was running down the wall. The hot water was tolerable but definitely could have been warmer. The shower curtain was too short to prevent the water from running onto the floor. Good thing was there wasn't enough water pressure to make a big mess. The pressure at the sink was barley enough to brush your teeth. I would like to think the water pressure was not their fault. So morning came around after a decent night's sleep and while packing I noticed the floor which is carpet, seemed to be damp. It must have been from condensation from the AC since we didn't spill anything. Well the next morning after we got home, my wife had around 20 red dots on her skin. It would seem she had gotten bitten by bed bugs. We travel, a lot and this is the first encounter bed bugs. It is not a fun feeling at all. Hopefully we didn't bring any home with us. read more

They refused to check me in 1pm and made me wait till 2 even though the room was ready unless I was willing to pay $25. I encountered multiple bugs in the room Bed was comfortable and linen was clean at least. This hotel is away from Austin and the traffic/ constructions make it really bad to drive there. Do not stay here unless you're not paying more than $80 a night Breakfast lacked multiple items like coffee creamer and condiments. Computer for guests doesn't work properly. This place is not worth even one star. Dust everywhere in the room. I had face rash both the days I slept there. Towels were missing. When call the front desk the lady named Kimberly was extremely rude. The person on front desk at the night shift was nice and took care of us. In general avoid this place. read more

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. However, even though I could tell that the cleaning staff did their best to clean the room, the room needs deep cleaning, especially the rug. It has many stains. There were cockroaches in my room. I managed to kill two, but one got away. read more

Nice surprise. From the road, looks old since its built with doors faced outdoors and not indoor hallway. However, quickly pleasantly surprised. Lobby was inviting, greeted by a friendly staff, though late at night. Room was easy to access, ground floor, with plenty of parking. There's an outdoor pool, restaurants close by, nice neighborhood. Room had thick, new carpet along with all expectations of a good night stay plus more. Bathroom tub redone, great shower with hand sprayer. Lots of rails to grab on to, full length mirror, bright light for makeup. Separate fan and light switch. Plenty of outlets and special ones for your mobile devices that are bedside as well as at the desk. Spacious, clean as a whistle. Refrig, microwave, continental breakfast. Coffee in the room isn't bad, it's a name brand along with wonderful smelling spa shampoos and soaps. Why not a perfect 5? 1. They need a night light, the bathroom is completely dark at night, thank God for cell phone flashlights. 2. Stay upstairs because the ceiling is thin walled. We were on the first floor, Noisy, and not a matter of children, just normal walking sounds. 3. Wish they had recycling in the rooms. read more

BUGS!! I was to stay 3 night in this hotel while I was in town visiting my daughter. I checked in and on my first night there were 3 roaches in my room. I was watching TV and there was one on the end of the bed walking across the bed. Killed it. Looked over and there was another on my end table by the clock. Very gross but killed it. Then I noticed a third crawling down the side of the end table. Killed it and immediately went to the front office. They had no other rooms and it was very late night so I couldn't leave to check into another hotel. They said they would change my room in the morning once one became available and the would discount the night because of it. They ended up discounting me $13. Terrible discount for a sleepless night looking for roaches in my room. That night should have been free. I will never stay at a Best Western again. Do Not Stay here unless you like bugs. read more

Always a comfortable stay at this site. Rooms are clean and in good repair. They just put in all new carpet and many rooms have a new AC/Heating unit. They serve a good breakfast and coffee is always fresh. As a single female, I've always felt safe at this location. I stay here about 6-8 nights per month. Highly recommend. read more

Room 119 was nice, clean, quiet, good no nonsense wifi, good tv. Breakfast was medium fare well attended by staff. It surprised me for being a best western, logos changed, tiny Sign outside, tastefully boutiquey decorated. Kay and Tina at front desk were hospitable, friendly and yet business like. If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. I do not usually post reviews, but it is necessary for this hotel. The hotel is super clean, beds are comfortable and the rooms have everything you need. The breakfast is a nice variety of healthy, yummy choices and yes, the Texas shaped waffles are real and well worth the stay. There are plenty of good restaurants near by, plenty of places to shop. But what is really awesome about this hotel is the staff. I have traveled a lot in my life, for work and for leisure. I have never stayed at a hotel where every single staffer, and I mean EVERYONE, is kind, hard working, and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is as good as it can be. I can not say enough positive things about this hotel. Make sure this is the hotel you choose if you are staying in the area. I will not stay anywhere else. Good place to stay north of Austin. No free breakfast, but sometimes, do you REALLY want to eat what they put out? Do yourself a favor and make your way to The Orginal Pancake House (10 minutes or so away on Parmer), if you have the time. We were on our way home to Houston so it was perfect for us. Anyway, this place is completely non smoking rooms but you can go out on the balcony and smoke if you need to. I could smell the outside smoke coming in but it didn't bother me, it might bother some if you are highly sensitive. It happened twice, no biggie. The first room they gave us, I walked in and the beds were stripped and it wasn't cleaned yet - but an employee came up immediately and gave us another room which was fine. We wanted someplace clean and safe to lay our heads, and this hotel hit the spot. The employee was apologetic about the first room not being ready, and he went in to turn on the A/C in the second room for us. I thought that was a nice gesture. Flimsy blankets, I could have used another. The top blanket was a very thin bedspread. I have never seen anything so thin in my life in a hotel. In hindsight I would have asked for more blankets as it was very cold during the night even though we had the A/C set at Low. And this on a June night! I had only one pillow since I shared a queen with my daughter, and again in hindsight I should have called for another pillow. This was a very quiet hotel. I would stay again but ask for more blankets and pillows. I had no problem with this hotel. It's not the fanciest but as I said, just wanted a good night's sleep and a shower. It makes me laugh though, at hotels you know how the cleaning people used to put a strip of paper over the toilet to show you it's been cleaned? No paper nowadays, but they do form the ends of the toilet paper into a little point, no matter how much paper is left on the roll. There was probably a few hours left on this TP, and it still had the tiny point. Props to them for not throwing out a nearly used roll, though!! read more

The hotel looks dated from the outside but it's definitely upgraded on the inside. Staff was very nice at check in and I came in after 10. When I called in the reservation they were able to give me a discount. Comfortable bed, clean room, nice tv. A/c kept the room cold. This is not a good hotel to stay at. I'm not normally a difficult person, but they have the worst customer service. I had neighbors fighting all around my room. Not to mention there were bugs all over the counters and my makeup and toiletries. I was distraught and I called the front desk. They did nothing about it and after telling her how I didn't appreciate the bugs all over the place, she then proceeded to tell me there's nothing she can do and it's not like they brought bugs in. Well let's start with the cleanliness of room #116! We found toys left behind there were kids hand prints on one of the bed boards. There were shampoo conditioner and hairspray left behind from the person before. Then the outlets did not work so the hairdryer was useless the iron was useless you couldn't make coffee. The pool is filthy and what do you expect when it's located in the parking lot right! My air broke at home and it was last minute and it's the 4th of July weekend so there were slim pickings but for a total of $134 not worth it! We found this Hotel by accident, we enjoyed our stay. The room is clean and the general manager is very nice and helpful. We like the location of the hotel because there are varieties of restaurants within walking distance. We recommend this place because we will return again when we visit our friends & family who live not far from the hotel. read more

Not a stellar place to stay but it was clean, relatively quiet and very affordable. (Although they did double the room rate for our last night because of the Formula One race over the weekend).
