They refused to check me in 1pm and made me wait till 2 even though the room was ready unless I was willing to pay $25. I encountered multiple bugs in the room Bed was comfortable and linen was clean at least. This hotel is away from Austin and the traffic/ constructions make it really bad to drive there. Do not stay here unless you're not paying more than $80 a night Breakfast lacked multiple items like coffee creamer and condiments. Computer for guests doesn't work properly. Front desk personal aren't friendly

Nice surprise. From the road, looks old since its built with doors faced outdoors and not indoor hallway. However, quickly pleasantly surprised. Lobby was inviting, greeted by a friendly staff, though late at night. Room was easy to access, ground floor, with plenty of parking. There's an outdoor pool, restaurants close by, nice neighborhood. Room had thick, new carpet along with all expectations of a good night stay plus more. Bathroom tub redone, great shower with hand sprayer. Lots of rails to grab on to, full length mirror, bright light for makeup. Separate fan and light switch. Plenty of outlets and special ones for your mobile devices that are bedside as well as at the desk. Spacious, clean as a whistle. Refrig, microwave, continental breakfast. Coffee in the room isn't bad, it's a name brand along with wonderful smelling spa shampoos and soaps. Why not a perfect 5? 1. They need a night light, the bathroom is completely dark at night, thank God for cell phone flashlights. 2. Stay upstairs because the ceiling is thin walled. We were on the first floor, Noisy, and not a matter of children, just normal walking sounds. 3. Wish they had recycling in the rooms.

    Busted dresser

Saw a couple of roaches, then I bumped the dresser slightly and the whole front of the drawer fell off hahaha

Nice cozy breakfast area nicely decorated.

Bugs inside, noisy/rowdy guests to all hours of the morning and no parking at night. There was a 1+ inch gap under the door. It's just bad.

Loved staying here. Staff was friendly, especially breakfast lady, and the rooms are modern and clean. Brewery is across parking lot.

My wife did the booking as I was at work, and thought she booked another place but it was fine. The front desk person when we checked in was friendly and they give you a card for several items at no extra cost from the store area. We took advantage of that as it was very nice. The room was comfy and a good size, we were only there one night not sure how cleaning works or service of new towels and replacements. They had a kitchen and bar that opened at 5 pm as as we came right after work we had not eaten so we went there first. The lady running the bar and taking the orders was by herself and was very good and friendly but leaving her alone seemed kind of bad on the part of the company. We got the happy hour old fashioned which was a good price but not very good. We tried it, we are always looking for different old fashions and some are great and others a miss. The food was surprisingly good for a hotel. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Shana got dumplings and a salad. It didn't take to long though there were more people ordering by this time and it sounds like just one guy cooking. We slept well, the room was fine, the shower takes a while to heat up. SHANA SAYS: Good Service, very clean and well appointed but weird old carpet. Now Breakfast: We had breakfast the next day. They had a "buffet" for $13 dollars. This was awful, no one took it, and it was just sad. It had some fruit, juices in open carafes on the counter, some cereal, coffee, and oatmeal. 50% of it is butter, syrup, honey, etc. There is nothing there, it is insane. You can order breakfast and again one server and no one took the buffet. I had eggs, bacon and sausage. The bacon was crunchy and good, sausage was solid. The eggs were ok. Shana had French Toast and mostly enjoyed it, good for hotel French Toast. Our server here was good but strangely nervous and when I got my Dr. Pepper he wanted to know if it was alright as sometimes it is flat which seems to be a well known problem they don't fix. Shana used the gym, said it was good for a smaller hotel, had lots of different equipment but the treadmill was wobbly. It was fine for what we needed it for and was close to home. Given that it was close and for an emergency not sure would we stay here again unless a similar issue happened. It is not bad but the promised breakfast buffet really soured it.

I went into my Hilton Honors app and selected a cancellation but inadvertently cancelled the wrong reservation. As I said, it was an emergency situation and I was a bit flustered in the process. I booked a different hotel for my stay to be as close to the airport as possible so I could get out as early as possible the next morning. Unfortunately, I didn't even catch the mistake until two days later when I went to reconcile my expense report. When I called Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Park they refused to work with me on a refund. They explained that because I didn't call to confirm the cancellation that it was completely on me. I take full ownership. I made the mistake. But the fact that they refused to work with me is beyond outrageous. To add salt in the wound when I pressed for a little grace they hung up on me, twice. Poor customer service and even poorer compassion. This is why corporations suck.

However, I was not recognized as an elite member. I also didn't have a greeting on my TV when I walked through the door, and I didn't receive any texts from the staff welcoming me. I guess the other aloft hotels went above and beyond, and I received basic service here in North Austin. The room wasn't the cleanest. It wasn't filthy, but you can tell it didn't receive a thorough clean. There was hair in the shower, a red looking piece of something questionable on the door, something questionable that was brown on the bathroom floor close to the wall. I had slippers on and/or wore shower shoes the entire time. I didn't request to change rooms because I didn't want to end up with something worse than I had. I just sprayed the entire space with lysol. There was also an incident with the guest in the room next to mine, they left their dog in the room alone and it was crying, howling, and barking on and off for an extended period while I tried to work. I contacted the front desk through text around 830pm. and checked around 9pm. for a response and was told they were helping other guests. So yeah, I will not stay at this hotel again. Overall, it is a lackluster experience.

The staff we encountered were friendly and always greeted us warmly. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient for our needs. We also appreciated the spacious room layout. Unfortunately, housekeeping and maintenance were inconsistent. We repeatedly requested removal of a dirty trash can that had clearly seen better days. We even placed it in the hallway, yet it was continually returned to our room without being replaced. We also experienced issues with room cleanliness and felt that basic housekeeping requests were not fully addressed during our stay. Another frustration was the early-morning grounds maintenance. Being awakened around 6:00 a.m. by landscaping equipment directly outside the building wasn't ideal, especially for guests on lower floors. It seemed like the work could have started farther from occupied rooms and moved inward later in the morning. What disappointed us most was the lack of follow-up regarding concerns we raised during our stay. We weren't looking for points, refunds, or compensation--we simply wanted the issues addressed so future guests could enjoy a better experience. Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its friendly staff and convenient location, but attention to cleanliness, housekeeping communication, and guest comfort would make a significant difference. Would I stay again? Possibly, but only if these operational issues were improved.
