Wow, I'm just not convinced that these reviewers are talking about the same place as where I…read morestayed! Either that or the place used to be a lot nicer and better run than it is currently (which is i think the case). Judging by the beautiful pictures on the website vs what was the present day reality, I I think its the later. The house is nice, spacious, and comfortable. But it's not as nice as what the pictures make you believe. The rooms are cheaply outfitted and the decor is cheesy. The whole set up of the B&B is a bit weird though. Each room has a keyed entry with a private bathroom, balcony, a coffee pot, and mini fridge. Guest pay by the room they stay in. There is a huge common living room, kitchen, and breakfast nook downstairs on the bottom two levels. The top floor has to use an exterior spiral staircase to get back into the main living area part of the house. Luckily my family rented every room in the place for a holiday get together, so we thought we should have privacy and not be forced to hang out in the common areas with other guests we did not know. Well...this was partially true..... read on. So when we first get there, we see the sign for the B&B on the side of the major road and the house is WAY up on this huge hill and has a tiny parking lot that can fit two cars that was full. We park on the site of the road and climb up the steep and very ricketty old stairs to the back porch of the house, and then Esmerelda comes out and tells us we have to go around to the other side of the house, and gives us some directions that were partially coherent. We drive around, and find the other side of the house has parking at the entrance level, albeit very limited and cramped parking on the side of a narrow driveway. Esmerelda is waiting at the doorway and introduces herself and we asked for the tour. She walks us from room to room, not saying much, and was very unwelcoming. She's simply open the doors to each room, anounce the name (which is a color) and then go to the next room. We asked her some questions, and she didn't understand us because it seems that her english is not very good. When we got back to the living and kitchen floors, I asked what was behind a couple doors and was told "NO NO NO" so I shut them quickly and left that alone. Then, we started unloading our food into the large built in stainless steel fridge, and Esmerlda came over and kinda mumbled something as she hurried to grab up food that was in the fridge and take somewhere else. We were under the impression that there would be some food stocked in the house. The pantry area was well stocked with all sorts of dry food, and even liquor....but again we were told NO NO NO. The food that was for us, was in a TEENY TINY mini fridge smaller than even in a dorm room. It included bottled water, yogurt, a couple peices of fruit, and orange juice. So what was all the food in the fridge and freezer and pantry for? The fridge has all sorts of weird stuff in there...including fish marinating in an open bowl of juice. Yuck! And the freezer was stuffed to the brim with frozen foods, mostly meat I think. So, we go sit on the back porch to enjoy the nice weather and notice there is a jacuzzi being filled with water from a garden hose. Not sure why, since it is november and no one brought our swim suits and Austin is in a major water rationing drought. If they had asked, we would have told them NO please dont waste the water. The view off the back of the house was listed as a lake view...and in years where the lake was full, this would be true, as there was a dried up boat ramp at the base of the house. But, as is, we could NOT EVEN SEE THE LAKE. I'm talking at least a mile away or more. Lake Travis was depressingly low. So there is this old weather tattered bar outside that looks like it came from some closed down marina night club with the words "The Blue Fairy on the side" and also these outdoor bathrooms that resembled those at a public pool. Basically a shed made of corrugated steel with no lights inside. Nice. We notice this is the only communal bathroom in the whole house. So unless you want to go upstairs to your room, if you want to pee while in the living area, you have to go outside. Really nice. As we are commenting on all these unexpected and not pleasant surprises out comes this man from no where, with no introduction, no greetings, nothing. He is just walking around. He is probably at least 6'5" and is built like a line backer, is african american, and was wearing athletic clothes with no affiliation to the B&B (esmerelda wore a shirt with the B&B name on it). He had this perma scowl on his face and said not a word to us, but would appear throughout the trip at various points and just walk out...even in sweat pants...make himself comfortable at the other end of the porch, or in the living area, and then leave. We still dont know if he worked there, or was just a crasher?

Turning your car around on the edge of a cliff is an interesting task. There is NO LAKE. therefore no lake views, no lake activities. Nobody greets you when you get here. The lady we found wandering around downstairs doesn't speak English but we did manage to clarify that breakfast was from 7-9 am. Which it was not. My husband and I are early risers. Nothing was going downstairs at 7 am. No coffee, no pastries. Dark cold kitchen. The room was ok, slightly dated. Stains on carpet, crack in tub, tiny bed. We were in the blue room. I have never stated at a b&b before and if this is any indication how this works I never would again. The Wi-Fi although free does not work. We tried watching a movie in bed on the iPad, no deal. The phone service is limited. They have a collection of old books to read. Nobody answers the phone numbers given for this place. In the middle of the night we were woken to all the noise from upstairs and an odd dripping noise. Water leaking from the upstairs into our place. We called the number to let them know. Of course no answer and no response. We paid $179 for this place through some expedia deal. Save your money. Stay at the red roof inn for $51.

Since it was only my husband and I we originally requested a kind bed, the 3 queen room was not an upgrade. It was terrible and smelled like heavy, toxic women's perfume. We then requested again to have one king bed which they told us they originally did not have one available, but after a few minutes there was one available. Once we got in the room, which was right next door to the triple queen room.It did not smell of heavy toxic, women's perfume, instead it had black mold in the bathroom. Also, the shower control was broken and we could only get scalding hot water to come out of the shower.

Cedar Creek Inn, you were an oasis of help on a difficult adventure…read more So, I'm a former Texan, currently living in Los Angeles. Knowing that the Eclipse was coming to Texas in 2024, me and my lady decided to make a roadtrip adventure out of it. While it has been a tremendous adventure, there have been many challenges along the road. Near the home stretch of our journey, my vehicle started exhibiting bad behavior but we didn't have a lot of options for repair. We had a reservation at Cedar Creek Inn, but because of our impaired vehicle we were running severely behind time. We did not arrive at Cedar Creek until roughly 8am on the day we were supposed to check out. Exhausted and at the end of our mental and physical stamina, the owners were kind enough to allow us stay late to rest and recuperate. After the eclipse event, we needed a place to hole up again while we tried to organize a solution for the car. Again the owners bent over backwards to help us and give us a safe, clean and comfortable place while we solved our problems and got back on the road. I am truly grateful that people like this exist in the world. It goes beyond a simple merchant and client relationship and shows true care and understanding towards another human being in need. I was a little skeptical at first because I normally don't stay in budget motels that have doors…read moreoutside, but this one is actually semi-clean and the area appears safe since I seen other families here. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure you bring your own sheets and towels to be safe because I saw a stain on the linen, so I put it on the floor to avoid germs. Also, the beds are extremely hard to sleep comfy, saw hairs inside the coffee cups, and their smoke detector was broken inside the room. If I had another option, I would've been at the Holiday Inn for more comfort like I normally would, but this weekend was busy due to the stupid Formula 1 racing event here. So lesson learned, get your hotel booked at least a month in advance before a major event comes into Austin, nearly half of Austin was SOLD OUT because of Formula 1 or the budget motel prices were extremely high.

There wash clothes are dingy white....(I'm glad I brought my own) So at this point those were my issues, besides parking. That seems to be a problem at every hotel in that area. If you don't get there by 10 p.m. good luck with finding a parking. But the night before we were going to leave, our T.V's sound went out! We watch TV all night, so that was horrible for us. We tried to get it going, and to no avail! We tried to call the office, no answer! We had to set up our tablet, with the same channel on the few that we could find that was on at the same time. Because were from Vegas, and we were in TX. So the next morning. We were trying to tell them that the sound went out. They kept telling us to go past channel 50 and the sound would come on! The TV didn't even go up to channel 50! Then we asked to speak to the manager, ohhhh the mgr. isn't here right now! They will be here later...Sure! So needless to say we didn't get to speak to a manager.

It's a huge difference for me when picking the parks we stay at however it was nice and clean and easy to get in and out of. So, we just left Sky Ranch RV Park. Their website makes the place sound so awesome. But, then there…read moreis reality. This park is under new ownership for the last 2 years. There are roughly 50 functional sites. Many permanent folks. All very nice. However, with permanents you get lists of "stuff" piled up around the sites; broke down trucks, etc. The laundry/shower house is nice. Clean. There are 5 washers; all seemed to work. There are 5 dryers; 2 work. Good news the laundry is free. Take care of them. The security gate does not work so you do not need a code. It's okay, we never felt uneasy. There is no swimming hole. It's dried up and I don't think you really want to swim in it if it did. The fishing lake is beautiful and so clear you could see the fish. The property surrounding the campground is just so pretty. We were here 7 nights. All we kept saying to each other is, "this place has so much potential." Just pick up the trash, mow and kill the weeds. There are pieces of pipe and old sewer hoses just lying around. Finally, the RV sites are a little strange. There are two concrete strips to park on. For class RVs your jacks are not going to align, with the concrete. Anyway, when we first arrived we were a bit disappointed, but by the time we left we were like, "It's okay. It's a beautiful property and a campground with so much potential," I'm giving this camp 3 stars because it needs a little TLC.

Peaceful place to stay in the Texas Hill Country with concrete pads, free laundry and wifi, and new…read morefacilities. We did a double take at the sign directing us to pull our travel trailer onto a runway, and looked both ways for aircraft. (We later learned the runway has been decommissioned.) The runway, which now serves as the main driveway, is a great option for evening walks. Location is pretty good - about a 15-minute drive to restaurants / stores in either Bertram or Liberty Hill, and about an hour to the wineries on 290. Area is secured by a gate - you'll get a contactless keycard when you check in. Private unisex bathrooms with showers for people and even an outdoor shower for your pet. There's a private ranch road (no motor vehicles allowed) for hikes. It leads to a refreshing swimming hole that is partially fed by a stream. Sit in one of the plastic lounge chairs and listen to the brook babble under your feet - or swim to the far edge for the "infinity pool" effect. The water is clear but the bottom is soft, so river shoes are helpful if you don't like the feeling of mud squishing between your toes. Walk further down to reach the lakeside patio, complete with water fountain and picnic tables. I encountered deer on almost every hike, but surprisingly not another soul. Nice place to enjoy a little solitude.

Even our bracelets printed at the same time from the kiosk. The room was spacious and clean, located halfway down the hallway, which we loved because we avoided the elevator traffic noise. The food was very pricey and pretty basic. Once we ate, we headed to the park, which was an experience! The lazy river was a nice pace and the temperature was perfect. The rides were lots of fun and the lines weren't long at all. We also explored the adults only area, which was the cherry on top. It was quiet and the drinks were excellent. Overall we LOVED our experience and can't wait to return.
