This has been my least favorite aloft stay this year, and I'm happy to be checking out today. I received a friendly welcome when I checked in. However, I was not recognized as an elite member. I also didn't have a greeting on my TV when I walked through the door, and I didn't receive any texts from the staff welcoming me. I guess the other aloft hotels went above and beyond, and I received basic service here in North Austin. The room wasn't the cleanest. It wasn't filthy, but you can tell it didn't receive a thorough clean. There was hair in the shower, a red looking piece of something questionable on the door, something questionable that was brown on the bathroom floor close to the wall. I had slippers on and/or wore shower shoes the entire time. I didn't request to change rooms because I didn't want to end up with something worse than I had. I just sprayed the entire space with lysol. There was also an incident with the guest in the room next to mine, they left their dog in the room alone and it was crying, howling, and barking on and off for an extended period while I tried to work. I contacted the front desk through text around 830pm. and checked around 9pm. for a response and was told they were helping other guests. So yeah, I will not stay at this hotel again. Hotel lost power on the third night and blared alarms all night. Never received an explanation or apology. Do not stay here. read more

I have stayed at Aloft Austin NW several times. I always recommend it to friends. Although this is the second time that the room wasn't properly cleaned. This issue should be addressed. Otherwise, the staff are phenomenal, the bar is fun and the snack/meal options are lovely. You can't beat the location. The location and customer service is why I will continue to return. read more

I got into my room without trouble. The room was very basic and smelled funky. The same could not be said about three females trying to check in as I left for my last meeting of the day. It seems the hotel had been over booked by one room. I felt bad as I heard them try to figure out which of them was going to share a bed with a coworker. I recently stayed at Aloft Austin Northwest June 5, 2025, was genuinely impressed by the experience. the room was very clean. The hotel strikes a great balance between style and comfort. The lobby has a vibrant, modern vibe with plenty of seating, a lively bar area, and even a pool table that adds a fun, social touch. It felt more like a boutique hangout than a typical chain hotel. Staff (Katia Guzar ) she was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. She deserves a raise she went beyond her job duties to make sure, I had a good time. Beautiful person inside and out. It was convenient, location near shopping and restaurants was walking distinct. It's a bit of a drive from downtown Austin, but perfect if you're looking to stay in the northwest area. Overall: 5/5 - A trendy, welcoming hotel with great energy and thoughtful amenities. I'd definitely stay again. Free parking and breakfast . Love this Hotel can wait to go back. read more

I am a fan of Aloft Hotels. They are not your typical hotel which is why I like it. Each property is different and each room is a little different as well. I have stayed in a variety of Alofts throughout the West and I find the staff friendly and helpful. This property is no different. This location is great because you do not have to travel far for shopping or dining. The only issue, if you want to call it an issue, is no refrigerator in the room. Other properties that i have stayed at have had refrigerators in the room so i expected one here. That was my fifth star. The property was quiet with the occasional closing of a door of another room. This is my third night staying here. Hotel is clean but a little noisy. I'm concerned about this hotel not taking mask wearing seriously. This afternoon I returned around 1pm and saw a female employee standing in the lobby, not wearing a mask, talking to two other female employees. I didn't say anything. This evening I returned at 10pm and was waiting for the elevator and another guest walked up, not wearing a mask, to wait for the elevator also. I told him I would wait for another elevator since he's not wearing a mask. Then I went to the front desk and mentioned that the other guest wasn't wearing a mask and the front desk guy said "oh I'm sorry I'm usually on top of that." Sorry, not sorry, for the one star rating...but please don't put signs on the door saying you require masks if you're not going to enforce it. read more

Not your average Marriott property. This property has some definite positives and some glaring negatives. Positives- * Super friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we met was happy and would do whatever we needed to make our stay a good one. *Great amenities - indoor pool and hot tub, pool table, bar, music on the weekends and snack bar Negatives- *Property was a little worse for the wear. The hallways were dirty, chipped paint, broken windows, TV worked occasionally (we called, but was not fixed) *The overall design is less than ideal- one light switch turned on all of the lights. We had to use our cell phones to go to the restroom at night at the risk of waking everyone in the room up. Window shades were useless- the light streamed in every morning. The "window" in the shower lets the light shine into the room as well, so if someone is up early you will have to shower in dark or use the light from the windows. YIKES. *No microwave or refrigerator in our room, but some had them. We rented a suite so I assumed our room would have this amenity. * A plus or a minus depending on how you feel about it. This is a VERY PET friendly property. IF you don't have a dog, cat, etc. you are the minority. There were tons or HUGE dogs all over the hotel. Lots of nightly barking going on. Overall it was not a bad stay, but we will most likely not return due to the lack of overall care of the property. read more

I recently stayed here during the epic snowstorm which resulted in sporadic electricity outages and water shortages throughout all of Texas. My initial plan was to stay at this Aloft for just 3 nights, but I ended up staying for around 7 nights due to weather conditions which prevented any travel. This place was amazing, especially the staff, and even the other guests. In spite of an ongoing pandemic, the record-shattering snowstorm, and guests who were effectively stuck at the hotel (due to the snowstorm), the people here were some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The staff made sure that guests' concerns were taken care of, there was sufficient water and food for all of the guests (and their pets), and happy hour still took place just to give us a taste of normalcy amidst the chaos. I'll be moving to Austin soon, so I probably won't need an Austin hotel in the near future. However, I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or travelling through the area! read more

I stay at the aloft a lot because I travel for work. Normally I like the aloft because it's a modern place with nice amenities, and it's usually clean. My stay at this aloft was quite a different experience. I am a Marriot Gold member and I am supposed to get a mobile key through my phone without having to physically check in, but this location requires that you still physically check in. I got to my room and the heater was on and set at 86! It was 95 degrees outside, so I set the AC to 65 and waited. At 11pm it was still only down to 83, and when I woke up at 7 it had only dropped to 75. Talk about an uncomfortable night. The problem is that the idiot who design this particular hotel put the AC under a desk, so the cold air blowing straight into a piece of wood and not circulating through the room. Once I finally went to lay down I realized that there was something on the sheets. It looked like popcorn kernels, and I found a couple strands of black hair. I will continue supporting Marriott hotels and the Aloft chain, but I doubt I will be back to this one unless I am coming to enjoy the bar. That is the only saving grace. read more

This is the only dirty NYLO I have stayed at and it is kind of filthy. When I checked in the lady at the desk informed me that they had no hot water but were working on it. She then proceeded to assign me the first room past the check in on the first floor. You could hear the lobby and bar area from the room quite well which made sleeping difficult. The room was dark and had no options for lighting. When I turned on my camera flashlight, I soon found out why. I don't think they have ever dusted this place, the carpets were dirty and stained. The chair was stained with ketchup. At least I hope it was ketchup. Seriously gross. read more

The location is pretty great since it is right off the highway service road and behind a nice shopping plaza. The room was a pretty nice size but lacked a little bit of a homey feel. It was neat and the bed was comfortable. They had a small fridge available but it struggled to keep its temperature cool. A cute little pool and small jacuzzi are on the first floor. The bar/lounge is contemporary and cozy. The standing question for this review is why only three stars? We were disturbed multiple times because the front-desk thought we were checking out. It got a little old after the third or fourth time and they were quite rude during the whole thing. Our housekeeping ladies were such sweet ladies but couldn't understand what we were saying. We asked for our trash to be taken out and they said ok but then left and never came back. This happened three times and we ended up having to call the front desk and asking for them to send someone up to service our room. Parking is free but not plentiful. read more

We stayed here for a hockey tournament. The hotel was clean and well kept. I love the modern decor and feel. The pool and gym were very nice and kept our boys busy. They let us use the conference room for team dinner, which was very nice! The bar stayed open late too. The rooms were nice! Comfy bed, clean shower, love the dry bar shampoo & conditioner! I love love love aloft hotels, they're so dog friendly and beyond accommodating to me and my pup. I love the way these hotels smell and are decorated. This hotel is in an awesome location, near so many restaurants and stores. Everything I needed was a short walk away. If you're traveling with a dog, stay here. Free to have a dog and free parking. Rooms are super quiet, so if you have a pup that barks at sounds, you don't have to worry. I travel a ton and these hotels are the ones I look for first. read more

This aloft property was my home away from home for a few months while working on a project nearby. When I travel for work, I typically stay at the same property weekly for several months. The team at this hotel was EXCEPTIONAL at always making me welcome. Not only did the staff know me by name, but I knew them by name, and we knew each other's schedules. In a situation where I was away from home, I always had friendly faces in my day. The aloft property is the same as all of the others--large rooms with either a king bed or two queens, a bathroom with a walk in shower. Rooms seemed to be well maintained. I really appreciated how proactive the staff was. I happened to be there during the week+ boil water issue. Not only was the staff very proactive about having signage around the property so that visitors knew not to drink the water, they made bottled water available (for free) to ensure that all of the little things were taken care of. It felt a bit like I was leaving extended family when my time was done. Thank you team for always making me feel so comfortable and knowing there was someone watching out for me during my stay in Austin. read more

I accidently booked a room here thinking I was getting a discount at The Domain location. Once the mistake was discovered (as I tried to check in to The Domain location) I made the 6 mile, 30 minute journey to Lakeline Mall. I was just looking for a place to crash after hanging out that comfortable and near a lot of options for food and drink. This hotel had all of that -- and without the crowds and elevated price tags around The Domain. The lobby and rooms are exactly how they're pictured in the hotel's posts. Clean, modern, a full bar open until midnight on a Tuesday night. The room was crisply made up and sparkling clean. Check in/out were quick and very friendly staff. There are two things I usually expect when I travel and stay in hotels; Noise from outside the room and bedding that I just can't get quite comfortable enough in whether it's the pillows, too heavy blankets, etc. This was one of the best sleeps I've had in a long time. I could hear no room doors slamming, no one talking as they went down the hallway, no traffic. The bedding? I slipped under the covers and was dreaming in no time. One odd thing, the bathroom light also lights up the area behind the beds in the main room as well. I don't think other guests would like that during a midnight bathroom break. The TV also lacked some channels (like Travel Channel) that I thought were basic on Direct TV. But the shower pressure, shower head and water temp were a great way to wake up invigorated. I'll do this place again...as long as I'm getting that price break. Even with discount is was well over $100. But, I don't regret my mistake at all.... read more

One of our favorite hotels in Austin! It's very lively and felt very clean. The check in and out was quick and we didn't have any issue. The upgraded everything in the rooms, shower, bathroom, kind size bed. Wish we stayed a little longer here, it's close to Lake Travis so a great and affordable spot if you want to be close by the lake. They have a breakfast bar that you have to pay for, a pool with amazing light scenery at night, a gym and a hangout spot. read more

Our company has stayed at this hotel 4 times in several years now and we are always treated like gold by the amazing staff. Lobby and patio are both great spots to hang out either in the morning or prior to a night out. There are also many great places to eat or shop nearby. Access to 183 is ideal. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! FIRST impression @ approx 9:45pm Lester- Sir, please insert your card, oh wait I just charged it to the wrong room. Hold on a sec.... Me- I need to know if this is going to charge my for the other persons room. May I have a receipt? Lester- no sir, you will not be charged for their room. Me- But you just said I was charged after I put my PIN in? Can I have a receipt? Lester- you're receipt will be emailed to you after your stay. SECOND impression @ approx 10:00pm Walked to the elevator, looking towards the pool and spa. (Mostly the reason I stayed here and not Best western, country inn, or any other hotel) and I see a ton of kids running around splashing all over the hot tub and pool, very loud in there. Guess I won't be relaxing in there tonight... Made it to the room, amidst the slamming doors and crying kids across the hall. You could hear everything! Every word the person next door yammered about was clear as day. I get ready to take a hot shower since I can't relax in the spa down on 1st floor, and there is not 1 towel in sight, all the soap is gone. EVEN THE DISPENSERS SCREWED INTO THE WALL WERE GONE! They must have been stolen by the lovely people that typically reside in the rooms. I call down to the lobby at around 10:30 pm, Lester answers the phone, and I ask if I may have a few towels and some soap brought to the room. He states, "I only have 1 towel. You need to come down and get it." What kind of hospitality is this??? I go down to the lobby, get my one towel and he hands me 1 tiny bar of soap. MOVING ON @11:30pm Winding down in bed, getting ready to go to sleep and the people next door are constantly going in and out, letting their kids run up and down the hall screaming. Guess the pool closed and so therefore no more free daycare! So the kids entertained themselves in the hall while we're all trying to sleep. Wonderful. NEXT DAY @9:00 am After I explained the whole ordeal to ANISA in the morning, she offered to comp the night for me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay another night, but I had already reserved it so I figured I will tough it out. When I came back around 3:00pm since I was staying another night, ANISA wasn't there, and I asked if she had left a note to comp my last nights stay due to how horrible it was, and the other concierge said she wasn't informed of this, and I needles to say, paid for it in the end. I wouldn't stay here & after several stays here, this is the last time. You're better off with a best western hotel. read more

When I travel to Austin, I always try to stay downtown. However, on a recent trip, I couldn't seem to find a room anywhere, so I ended up at the Aloft. I have stayed in Aloft hotels before, and generally I have found them acceptable. They're much like a W hotel without so many 6% body fat douchebags hanging around. My check-in went fine, the room was clean and nicely appointed, I had no complaints. I went down to the bar and had a few drinks and was served well. Everything went fine until it was time to hit the sack. I turned in at about midnight, and was actually sleeping pretty soundly until about 2:30 a.m., when all the sudden I was awakened by a hellacious racket outside in the hall. I wasn't sure what it was but it sounded like the shit really hit the fan. There was yelling and crashing and all sorts of commotion that sounded like people hitting the wall outside. Obviously, I wasn't going to open the door, so I looked through the peephole and saw a bunch of plain clothes policemen wearing their cop bullet proof vests and stuff, well armed, holding a guy up against the wall. It looked like they had a woman sitting on the floor near them, she too was under guard. Alrighty then! They hustled the guy away and then the remaining cops spent the next hour making more noise by talking to the woman as she sat in the hall. I sure as hell wasn't going to go outside to find out what was going on. I stuffed toilet paper in my ears to muffle the noise and tried to get some sleep. In the morning, I cautiously peeked outside my room and I saw that the door to the room diagonal across the hall from me was caved in, maybe by one of those police battering ram things. I pushed the battered door open and looked into the room. Holy crap... you could tell there had been a fracas in there. Want some free legal advice? When a cop tells you to pull over, pull over. When a cop tells you to get down, get down. When a cop tells you to come out of the room....come out of the room. Not doing what cops tell you to do tends to make them testy, and can lead to a violation of your Constitutional right to not get beat up (too much). I went downstairs to grab some breakfast and while there asked the desk clerk what the hell had gone on the night before. She was reticent to say anything about it at first, but eventually, she told me that the police had done a sting/drug bust there that night and the woman (I guess the one I saw in the hall) was supposed be wearing a wire and was to open the door for them but wasn't able to... so they had to break it down. Good times! Perhaps I shouldn't blame the Aloft hotel, because I'm not sure they had any control over any of this. But generally, floor shows are only provided at hotels at places like Vegas, and this isn't the kind I would want to see anyway. Safe to say, I probably won't return. If I do, I promise to open the door upon command. read more

My girlfriend and I were visiting Austin and stayed at this hotel. We got back around 2 am from a bar the first night, and we were arguing just like any normal couple. The guy at the front desk called the cops claiming that I hit my girlfriend on the face. The cops show up at my room and walk in while my girlfriend is asleep. They woke her up and she denied their claims and called them racists, and then stuff escalated and we got arrested inside. I can't believe this shit. I Would not recommend that anybody stay here if they want to feel safe. read more

I stayed at the Aloft Austin Northwest for three nights. I have zero complaints about my stay here. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, they were happy to hold our luggage for us since we arrived earlier than checkin. I loved the futuristic decor, very chic and simple. The room was clean and there were tons of channels available on the TV. My only issue with the room is that the toilet is in the same room as the shower. Typically for rooms with more than one bed, the toilet has its own room so one person can shower while another does their business. On the bright side, the bathroom sink is located outside of the shower and toilet area so no one had to wait to brush their teeth or use the mirror to get ready. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was my first time staying with this chain and I would be open to trying the chain again at a different location :) read more

Pretty decent hotel I'm the northern suburbs of Austin. The rooms are pretty nice, and there are great accommodations/public spaces, including an indoor pool, exercise room, bar area, and the nice little outside area perfect for studying/reading/etc. Overall, I had a pretty good time, but the WiFi is what got me -- it wasn't working on my work laptop. After fooling with it for like 45 minutes and getting an employee to help, I finally gave up and went in to the Austin branch of my office instead. At first, I decided that it must have been my laptop not trusting this specific hotel's WiFi. But later on, I tried it with my personal laptop, and it worked -- but only for a while. Eventually it cut out and I wasn't able to get to a screen to log in again, despite the fact that I had I indicated that I would need the wifi for several days the first time I logged in. I didn't have any other problems, but some other people in my office had a few minor problems, like the air conditioner not turning off, even when directed to do so or getting placed too close to the outdoor area, where people might be awake when you're trying to go to sleep. But again, they had pretty minor issues with the circumstances. I wouldn't say the hotel itself is loud or raggedy. On a brighter note, the staff were absolutely amazing and very nice, even when I complained about WiFi and checked out at like 3am lol. Would recommend read more

This was my first visit to an Aloft property, and it will almost certainly be my last. I don't expect a great deal from a budget priced hotel, but this managed to underwhelm even my modest expectations. The theme of the hotel appears to be "trendy veneer": hip and faux-upscale on a surface that doesn't entirely conceal the junky foundation. Everything from the painter's tape still attached to objects on the hastily painted walls to the shoddy, pressed-wood furniture screams "fancy on the surface, don't look any more closely." A great example of the lack of attention to detail is the cluster of unlabeled, disorganized light switches by the door. The switch nearest the bathroom area (there is no bathroom, just a cubicle containing a toilet that is sectioned off from the rest of the room by a flimsy hanging panel) turns on the lights immediately above the bed. You are all but guaranteed to turn on the wrong light...but that doesn't actually matter, because the shower is separated from the sleeping area by a translucent panel that lets all light and sounds directly through. Between that, the complete lack of curtains, and the doors that can only be closed at wall-shuddering volumes, there is no such thing as "sleeping in" in this hotel. The breakfast amounts to paying upwards of $11 to eat from a cardboard cup french fries (or tortilla chips) with an egg fried and draped over them. That is assuming, of course, that you brought your own pen down with you so you could fill out your own order on a slip of paper, deliver it to the front desk, then wait in front of a literal hole in the wall for your food to be delivered. We chose to go out to eat, rather than participate to their breakfast-time speakeasy cosplay. This was the first time I can remember waking up and genuinely considering if it would be worth packing up and finishing my stay at another hotel. I still question the wisdom of having stayed. Edit: I just noticed that the television in my room doesn't work. I assume there's an unlabeled light switch for that, but I can't be bothered to look for it. read more

I love that aloft doesn't charge extra fees for dogs and it's a very friendly dog hotel. Our stay was great! Cold a/c, fuss free check in/out, decent price for a clean and good smelling room, lots of tv channel options, free and easy parking, toiletries were great quality, the gym was awesome and had quality equipment, indoor pool, jacuzzi, and patio area were pretty cool too (lots of rambunctious kids there all day though). Front desk staff were very friendly. Would definitely come back. read more

On a recent getaway to Austin, I chose this hotel to stay at, given the good price and quieter location. I was very happy overall with my experience. The place is very trendy - perfect for solo travelers or couples. I liked the fresh fruit-infused water in the lobby; it was a welcome sight after the three-hour drive from Dallas. Check-in was super simple, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The room itself was really cool - huge (and clean) king-sized bed with lots of pillows, good closet space, and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower (always my preference). I loved the Bliss toiletries, though I think that they need to place two of the little body lotions in every room, as one really isn't enough! The shampoo and conditioner are in dispensers, which I liked, as I have tons of hair, and I got to use as much as I needed. Overall, it was a good value for my money. I'd stay here again if some of my other options weren't available; there are places to eat within walking distance, which is good, since the hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast, and that's a huge sell for me. read more

Was having a great stay until I almost got kicked out for having my service dog with me. I "violated" multiple policies by not filling out forms that the hotel did not provide to me. The 'service desk assistant' threatened to have animal control remove the 8lb dog because "he could not remove it" because apparently it sounded "dangerous". The dog is a shitzu. I then offered to leave if he refunded my room and he refused. Absolutely absurd. Amazingly, you'd think in the middle of the day, we'd be allowed to walk and grab some food next door without being accosted by a infantile egotistical loser who thinks he's got a 'real' job. Don't stay here if you have pets, or are a spineless human that somehow hates dogs, despite the hotel allowing them. read more

My family stayed here for almost a week during the summer after our A/C unexpectedly went out. We booked on priceline and got an amazing deal. Definitely glad we booked Aloft as I loved the contemporary decor, complimentary coffee and water, and high quality beds. The room was comfortable and I'd stay here again. read more

This hotel is dirty and not well maintained! It started upon entering the hotel property with dirty rugs in the lobby. I checked into my room and checked the restroom and linens first thing. The sheets had a stain on them as well as hair! I called the front desk to ask that the linens be changed. Three phone calls later and almost an hour later, they changed the sheets! Such a basic thing that can totally ruin a hotel's reputation. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but I'm checking out in the am! read more

My wife and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. We try to do staycations around town a couple of times a year and decided to check this place out since we also had a show to go to out at the cedar Park center. Once we got to the hotel it was definitely a bit crowded. But that is not any mark against them as that just means they are a popular hotel. Lots of families there. They did have an indoor swimming area but there were so many kids that we opted out of going to check it out. One of the front desk workers seemed a little irritated and short with people, but the other was very nice and friendly. He even gave us a great recommendation for dinner that night which happened to be just across the parking lot so we could easily walk there. The room was spacious yet comfy and we both enjoyed the large walk-in shower. One downside was when we asked for more pillows they said that they didn't really have any more due to shipping issues. I love Aloft! I come here a lot to just hangout and have a night away from home all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and there's so much fun stuff to do. 5 stars This morning I went to get breakfast and "Hunter" girl with blue hair was extremely rude. I asked her if I could do a wrap with my food and she said "no... it's grits" very rude tone and I said I've gotten it last time I've been here as a wrap (from a nicer lady working) and she just ignored me. She then asked me if I wanted my eggs poached or scrambled and I said however it comes normally is fine. She rolled her eyes and asked me about my eggs again. I said poached. I get my food and she over cooked my egg. Pretty much fried it and my food was cold. She really just dampened my morning and I wish the other lady was working!!! I would rate "Hunter" a one for horrible customer service read more
