    Nice hot breakfast

Good value. Rooms are clean. Towels are small but thick. Non-synthetic, full featured, hot breakfast. The grill was very popular at night but the room was quiet. It is what you hope at a standard stay but rarely get, kudos.

Family stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding and we're in a roach infested room. We were not happy about that this at all.

Make sure you get an email day of with a pin. We stayed in the violetta room. It was nice and we thought the bed and bedding was very comfortable. Parking is not included, so their website is a bit misleading on this. There is street parking that's free but it's 2-3 hours parking. No big deal but definitely misleading information from the hotel. Here's the thing. We would stay here again though. It's more like an airbnb than a hotel. There's no one working at the suites so there's no bells and whistles when it comes to service. But the suites were large, nice, clean and near all the things we wanted to do and see on Davis street. We would make sure we got a room w a steam shower next time (our suite had a nice large bathroom and shower but not a steam shower) and we would absolutely make sure we forced an email w our entrance pin out of them before we arrived.

Can hardly wait to stay at the 249 again.

When we got out she welcomed and thanked us for being there. Very Nice !!! That felt good. She and two others were placing flags out on the property for the holiday. Checking in with the front desk clerk was exactly the same welcome. I asked who was the nice lady outside, and she said that's our GM. I was like WOW !!! It was nice to meet someone in her position so kind, down to earth and appreciative. The GM's name is Katrina. The desk clerk was Krista. Both were super sweet. The evening desk clerk was Cheryl and guess what, the same. STELLAR Employee!!! The lobby was bright and clean with the 24 hr freshly made coffee machine. YES !! The elevator, hallways and room carpets could use a deep cleaning or replaced. Our room was CLEANED perfectly with very comfortable mattresses and pillows. Housekeeping really did a fantastic job in our room. Katrina, Krista and Cheryl recommended shopping spots, restaurants and information about the fireworks display. That was AMAZING. Parking lots downtown were filled with people having fun, like a family reunion. Beautiful!!! The breakfast was GOOD !!!! In the breakfast area there was a different lady Sat and Sunday. Both were friendly, walking to the tables asking if you needed anything and if everything was ok. Replenished the hot and cold food, while keeping that area and the seating areas clean. Ok, when leaving, we see Katrina, the GM, again. She asked how was our stay there, also if we enjoyed her town. She thanked us for staying and to please return. Katrina gave us hugs. Sooo sweet. GM's are not usually around and especially assisting the-employees. With Everyone loving their jobs, says a lot for the GM. Thank you Katrina!!!!!

Overall I will stay there again when I return to Culpepper

(Not sure if it's allowed, but we used both kitchens to accomplish our breakfast). There is a coffee maker in the bedroom also. Our room, the Butlers Pantry, was on the ground floor and decorated with antique furniture. It had a private rear entrance. The room was a little cramped with two chairs, a dresser, and a writing desk in addition to the queen size bed, but it was fine for us. The bathroom has a tub with a shower. The common area boasts a beautiful fireplace, lots of antiques and books. There is a private driveway leading to a small parking area and then overflow parking behind the garage. I cannot say enough good things about either the house or its owners.

Quiet and respectful of others. The only negative is the location. While it's a short drive into town, the property itself is surrounded by a lumberyard, the interstate, and storage units. Certainly nothing is really conveniently walkable. If needs took me back to this area, I would stay here again.
