This is a nice Best Western in rural Arizona, a pleasant surprise for an exterior that looks motel-like. The rooms are very clean and sufficiently spacious, the breakfast is adequate, and they have an adorable little pool. Where to Start?. Staff- Helpful and Good attitude Room - Dated by 10 Years or so Not bad. It was Clean for Roadside Motel. No hair's. Bath Drained well. Toilet Clean. Hott water at all hours. Parking- Open but they did have a system by hand and eye to keep track. I did see some trailer parking but not much. Clients - Most are working for the Mine. Traveling skilled Workers. Few families with kids. The Place gets dead at 8PM and comes to life at 4 AM. No crack head or hookers. Bugs and Critters- Yes they have them. Spiders and so on. Nothing crazy, Kinda hard to keep them out since its a desert. If you have stayed in Flagstaff or Las Vegas its the same. On Site- laundry and Vending sodas plus pool. They Do Serve Food. Pretty good. The chinese buffet was gutted at the time of this posting. Food options limited. Most Food Places Closed on SAT and SUN!!!! Jack in the box down the road. Beef is $$$$ in this area Soda and gas cheap. Road is the MSR for the Mines so heavy trucks running in mass all hours and all of the Motels from NM and PHX are along it so theres no way of getting around that..My kid was able to sleep thru it so not that bad. read more

By far the most ghetto hotel I've ever stayed in. They allow drug dealers to live here. There must have been 5 people in the room above me that literaly screamed and yelled, laughing and partying all night long. Cars coming in and out with loud music and exhausts. The rooms are way overpriced, at $206 when I stayed. Safford, AZ is a dump in general but this hotel.was rough, more so thanks to the trash they allow to stay here. read more

The place was near where my wife needed to be for a conference. It's right next to the main road so one can hear the traffic all night. They place is shopworn but the room was clean and the water was hot the bed was not too uncomfortable. It's older with outside covered walkways The morning breakfast was the highlight with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. It also had yoghurt a pancakes marking machine, juice coffee bagels and some fruit. read more

Great value for the price, room was twice the size of others we stayed in. Quiet, did not hear any road noise or neighbors, even though we were on ground floor. Lots of parking in front of our unit. Staff nice and helpful. Did our laundry in back of the Chinese restaurant which is on the premises. They have a small pool in the middle of the parking, no hot tub. Property was conveniently located in the town. Breakfast included had eggs, bacon, cereal, juice, coffee or you could take it to go. Room had fridge and coffee maker in it. The toilet and tub had a door to it. The sink area was open with an open closet area next to the fridge. Layout works well. I like Best Western for budget hotels, every one I ever stayed at has not disappointed. read more

Don't be fooled by the pictures. This place is beyond disgusting. The sheets had stains on them from previous person who was staying in there. Pillows had stains on them as well and let's not forget to mention the shower!! The shower had public hair on the walls and on the tub. Stay far away from here. We stayed only one night so our review will be limited. The manager/supervisor young man at the front desk was very accommodating. He rearranged our reservation so that we had a ground floor room. The hotel was full. Mostly white RAM trucks, perhaps some sort of construction going on close by? Our room had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. We appreciated the way the bed was made and the politeness of the cleaning crew. The reason for just the 3 star review was the limited number of towels, the awful smell emanating from the Chinese restaurant kitchen right in front of our room door, the noise from the highway and how we could hear the loud conversations and tv's from the adjoining rooms. We eventually had to call reception to ask them what the policy was regarding late night noise. They managed to to get the noise level reduced and we appreciated that very much. read more

Nice stay in a small town. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Rooms look to be redone so were very nice. Plus side: microwave and fridge! My plus for when I am traveling! Side bar- they have every channel imaginable on TV! Other positive is they are in walking distance to a couple restaurants if you are not in the mood to get back into the car and drive. I would highly recommend staying here when going through the Safford area. read more

There was poop on the toilet seat. Then there was a HUGE roach in the bathroom. Management claimed to have sprayed the week before but I don't believe it. And the door rattled all night even with the deadbolt. read more

My friend and I stayed here last night as we were passing through town on a backpacking trip. We compared all of the motels online ahead of time, looking at reviews, prices, and location to all of the amenities in town. This hotel was a great pick! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I made a mistake and booked a single bed online, but upon figuring out my mistake, the clerk in the lobby said it wasn't a problem and quickly made a room change for us, free of charge. The rooms are simple, clean, and up to snuff with local chain competitors. The motel has a great pool, laundry room, and the speediest wifi we have found all month while traveling through New Mexico and Arizona. We were really happy with the location, with lots of restaurants and grocery stores very close by. The only reason I took one star down was that the price seemed a little high ($108 for two beds), but TBH they are all pretty expensive in town. read more

Staff was good, but they do not have alot to work with -- shabby rooms, frayed carpet, smell of smoke everywhere. Breakfast was okay and rooms were clean. Would not recommend unless you just need a place to crash while traveling through. read more

I would like to share my experience this past weekend at this hotel. I arrived at this hotel after driving 3 1/2 hours and was tired just wanted to go and rest. Well where my room was at there was an empty parking space but was being blocked by someone inconsiderate who decided to block the empty space. I asked the receptionist if she could ask them to move their car up so I could park in the empty space that was near my room . The desk clerk stacey said she didn't know who's car it was when on each form sighed we write our plate number down for the room we are staying in. Then usually I get good service from Kim and Leslie by this lady refused to help me in any way. I asked for ice she pointed me to the hall way. Usually if I need something Kim will tell me if I need anything to call her she will bring t to the room. But this lady didn't want o get off her chair. Then she made me wait around thirty minutes before she finished taking care of someone else who came in after me. After this visit it makes me reconsider staying at this hotel. This lady should not be a desk clerk !! Very bad experience I ended up being pissed off that night because of the poor customer service. I go every two weeks to this hotel and this is the first time I didn't feel welcome and at home. read more

There are several places to stay, but this is the best option by far!! it as clean and comfortable, not too expensive and the service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Overall we were pleased with our stay (thou being next to the ice machine isn't ideal, but we got a ground floor room as requested originally). Their breakfast is included and on our stay they had strawberry flavored waffle batter (nice change) and overall good selection of breakfast items. If you're stuck overnight in this mining town, the Best Western is your best bet. The room was clean and nicely maintained. Free hot breakfast available too. The motel is built well enough that it's fairly quiet. Unfortunately the road noise is persistent. And the guy leaving at 3 am in his diesel truck was annoying. The other national chain I stayed at in Safford was all beat up by the industrial contractors that tend to stay weeks at a time--and throw parties in their rooms. I found this motel to be a great location [easy access] on the main road of this mining town. At the time I stayed (12/2008), they were undergoing renovations, so, I couldn't get an upper floor room. For the most part, the front desk was very accommodating and cheery, late at night and first thing in the morning. The room was comfortably-sized for a queen room and it came with a microwave and small refrigerator. There's a grocery store near by if you need to increase your driving food stash. I slept fine - there were not many people staying here at the time so the rooms neighboring mine were quiet. In the morning, the complementary breakfast included eggs and sausages along side the typical continental items (cereals, pastries, fruit, coffee, tea, etc). It was nice to have something more filling than starches for the long drive that was in store for me. So, as long as they don't change that, the breakfast gives worth to staying at this motel. If I would pass through Safford again, I would stay here again. read more
