I was in town for business at the various Sutter medical facilities. This was a fine place for a quick work trip. I wasn't expecting much for a Best Western in Tracy but it was pretty good. The room was clean and quiet. There was ample space to work, decent free internet, in-room coffee, refrigerator and microwave. Various places to eat and stores nearby made it convenient. The staff seemed very nice. The evening receptionist was very nice and helpful with my various keycard issues. (Sorry, forgot his name. Begins with an M.) My only issue was the air conditioning. The good: Breakfast was complimentary and was from 5-10 am. The hotel room had everything I needed (including a fridge and microwave). This was the best hotel option in Tracy on Hotels Tonight. The lobby staff person was friendly and the lobby and beds were clean. There was plenty of parking. The exterior of the hotel looks cool with the white wood trim. The interior was very standard but neat and orderly. There's also a swimming pool and vending machines. The bad: The bedroom floors were really dirty. My daughter's brand new socks were black after one night. I tossed them afterward because I don't think I can remove those stains. I'd highly recommend bringing house slippers. The toilet kept running. The hard boiled egg from breakfast was sour tasting and harder than average. The yolk was also whiteish gray. There weren't many channel options on the tv. The interesting: The make-your-own waffles maker was a custom one where the waffle bas a heart shape with a "BW" in the middle. The heart made a good vessel for syrup or jam. There's a casino next door and a grocery store walking distance. There are also a lot of fast food options nearby. read more

We were happy to find Emiret at the counter, she was friendly, professional and quick. The motel is very clean and the service was very good. The only downside I could think of is that I could not get the WiFi to work for me but that is all. The parking is easy and close. It is near everything too. The pool was not heated but with the summer heat, the cold was refreshing and there is a not tub too. The gym was not huge but had the necessary equipment to get a good work out in. I was quite pleased to find this motel and will stay there again. read more

Definitely seems like an older property, but very clean and an excellent pet friendly option. "Luxury" in the hotel name is definitely misleading so don't expect it. Front desk staff as well as the breakfast lady were all very pleasant and breakfast spread had everything. I made a waffle, had eggs, sausage and potatoes. There were juices and coffee and light fare breakfast as well like yogurt & granola, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, bagels and toast. Every condiment was also available. The bed and pillows are comfy and rooms clean. AC & heater work quickly. Room has mini fridge and microwave. Quick access to ice machine, drink machine and snack machine. It was nice and quiet so I got a good night's rest. I was disappointed in the pool area. The jacuzzi jets seem to be broken or just very minimal and had that weird film feeling in the water. The pool is not heated at all whatsoever. Although it was a warm day the pool was still freezing. It was unfortunate that my nieces couldn't enjoy this while they visited me and this was literally why I booked here, so that sucked. The pool itself also seemed dirty, like they should probably have a filter of some sort for the dirt. The pool pics throughout the internet are quite misleading. Which showed way different and I would not have booked here . . The place was not up to date . Umm let's see if they try to keep our deposit then I would say it's definitely a scam on top of everything else from our 20 minute stay. we were only in the room for all of 20 minutes. No way you could make a room smell like that in a 20 minute time frame not to mention check all my Dr check ups . Non smoker all my life. So with that Ding ding ding red flag right there . I've spent five days a week for the last four weeks staying at this best Western. I've done my laundry. I've use the spa. I've had breakfast and I parked my car. Everything was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Reservations are simple and quick. I would like To call out one staff specifically Maria Elena was fabulous. She remembers all the guest names she says hello and greet you every time you come in and she always offers. If there's anything more she can do to make your day better. This review is based on staff and our room. Gloria who checked us in and the breakfast attendant Angelica. Miss Gloria and Angelica were both super friendly, professional and welcoming. We had great conversations with both woman who were really happy help us and gave us amazing customer service. The sown fall was our room was on the first floor next to the pantry, managers office and house keeping. We tried to switch rooms but were told that was all that was available. While waiting for our waffle to be made we witnessed the manager being unprofessional and yelling at Angelica (the breakfast attendant) the manager was also who helped us check out and was very rude, short and had attitude when we asked what the breakfast attendants name was. read more

And the Best Western Luxury Inn in Tracy is definitely due credit - my family and I just had an experience there that would rival the service expected at a much more expensive hotel. In town for my grandson's wedding, a large group of us invaded the Tracy Calif Best Western Inn with reservations for more than a dozen rooms. From the moment we contacted reservations staff to determine the possibility of staying at this hotel, Liz and others took great interest in making our reservations with the least difficulty possible. Upon arrival, Crystal was exceptionally helpful - especially in accommodating my husband's service dog. The accommodations were clean and in good condition. The great service continued throughout our stay with notable assistance from Gloria and others, both day staff and the night clerk. Many thanks for helping us by eliminating any headaches before they arose. If we find ourselves needing accommodations in the area again, we'll definitely look into the Best Western Luxury Inn on Clover Road in Tracy, California. read more

First of all, I have not stayed in many Best Westerns throughout all my years of traveling, so I can't truly compare other Best Westerns to this one. What I can say is that this location is not the "Best" and there definitely wasn't anything "luxurious" about it either. It was quite the opposite. I arrived late for my stay and actually had to ring the dreaded bell on the desk to get service. I was given the keys to room 114, which is on the first floor and adjacent to the kitchen. This gave me the opportunity to not only hear all the discussion to be had about breakfast but also allowed me to enjoy the symphony of clanking dishes into the bright early morning hours. The bed mattress made me laugh out loud and felt very much like a cardboard frame with a sheet over it. With that said, the service here is not bad and the room was clean! I highly recommend renaming this hotel to "Western Inn" and avoid the false advertising. read more

KEEP IN MIND, they will NOT issue you a refund if you do not pay the extra cancellation fee while booking! Given the circumstances... Heartless & Poor customer service - My husband had a heart attack the day before our reservation and was in the hospital. We were coming from Reno for our sons soccer tournament. I called to cancel our reservation with a full refund but the manager Crystal said no. I told her i could provide whatever hospital documentations needed but she refused to help in any way. I work in the hotel industry and know how it works- there was no reason why she could not of canceled our reservation besides they are greedy. FYI when you cancel and they don't refund you they can still sell the room and make double off your room. I would've give a zero if I could or a -5. Everything was nice in the beginning until I got out of bed at about 2 o'clock in the morning to find a roach walking along the floor. I made a loud screaming noise and told my husband about it he then took pictures and video and also brought it to the attention in the front desk. Went up to the desk politely after he had killed it and made them aware of the situation calmly and nicely. They then said they could not refund us any money until the morning when the manager was there at 8 AM. However they did put us in another room but mind you we were moving all our stuff and took us about an hour so we lost a lot of sleep. With an asked for the manager for refund she stated that we should've got that last night if we wanted to refund and she would not do it plus we both do a third-party and we have to go through them. We made Priceline the third party aware of it and they stated they contacted the hotel and they would not refund us the money. Not only did they not refunded the money but they refused to compass another night and even if we paid another night they were not allow us because they were afraid that we were going to put some thing all over the Internet which we never stated. They treated us like trash made up stories that my husband was acting weird to the night shift when he was like very nice about the situation probably nicer than I would've been and we just simply wanted to be compensated for a time and for what it happened. I couldn't believe how they treated us after something it was not clearly not our fault probably not 100% there's possibly they say that they spray but I don't believe that and where there's one there's many and it was not a water bug like most people would say or think it was a light brown color so it was definitely a cockroach. I just want to say that the room was clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous throughout my stay. I have no complaints there. However, if you have pets, look elsewhere. I moved to Tracy for work, and had to stay in a hotel for a little while before my house would be ready for move-in. I originally booked for a week, but had to extend three nights beyond my original reservation. At first, this caused no issues, but then, on the morning of my original check-out date, the hotel owners (not the staff, who were very apologetic) decided that a week and a half was too long for pets to stay in their precious hotel. This is a Best Western, I might add, not the Ritz-Carlton, and there was no mention of any stay limitations in their pet policy. I will also add here that I had received no complaints, and the staff even complimented my dogs, saying that they never disturbed the other guests or even made noise when the cleaning staff were in the room (they were crated as well). So, after getting a call at 11 A.M. saying that I would have to check out that morning, I loaded my bags and went to the Microtel across the street. It's not as nice, but at least they're not throwing me out on my bum. My experience, of course, is related to animals, but I have to wonder what other reasons they may come up with for tossing people out. Bottom line, don't stay here unless your fine with being told to leave on a whim. read more

The worst customer service among the Tracy hotels. The management is very rude and the GM has a "we do not need your business" attitude. My uncle and his family had booked a Suite for 3 weeks. Payment was made for the 1st week. On the 10th day of their stay, the hotel management decided to block access to their rooms without their knowledge because the family had not made a payment for the week. Although an agreement had been reached to make a payment the same morning with the front desk. In order to get their room access, my uncle made the payment, and checked out the very next day. It may have been a simple case of mis-communication, but the way the management handled it was unacceptable. Not referring any of our family/friend to this hotel chain. read more

I stayed at the Best Western Luxury Hotel on November 4, 2010. I lodged a complaint about broken furniture that might have caused me an injury. The owner implied that perhaps I broke the furniture. It was a sofa bed in the front room of the suite. I was charged 120.00 for the suite. When I checked in, I was told there was wet bar. When I got in the room, there was nothing, but an empty refrigerator and cabinets, which is not the definition of a hotel wet bar. When I sat on the bed, the frame broke. When I tried to get out, it broke again. My roommate had to come and help me get out of the sofa bed. Then the bed could not be put back in the couch. I have had a hip replacement. Sitting on that sofa bed with a broken frame that fell in could have caused damage to my hip. And, that was not all; the curtains in the room were too short to cover the entire window so there was light in the room all night. The last straw was that the room had a hair dryer that would not stay on while in use. I had to hold the on button to use the dryer, which made it totally useless. Our stay was not a good experience. I have stayed in Best Western Hotels all over the US and never used one with this many problems. When I asked for a reduction in my charge, I was given only a 20%, instead of a no charge for the room. I would not have been so disgruntled had the owner given me a free night, but she did not. The hotel furniture was dangerous, did not have the wet bar that it promised, and did not have appropriate window coverings. I am writing your office to document the fact that you have a business owner operating under your auspices and in your community that is conducting business in a less than professional manner. The owner of the establishment, provided (1) poor services, (2) unsafe equipment and (3) inoperable appliances. Her business tarnishes the image of Best Western Hotel International and the city of Tracy. read more

Imagine this...making a reservation 3 weeks in advance. I check in, there's trash in the trash can but otherwise the room appears clean. Because it's after midnight. I retire for the evening. Get in the shower the next morning and see splashes of dirt steaks on the wall. After getting ready for work, I stopped at the front desk to request it be cleaned. The manager made the decision after leaving me a voicemail verifying my departure date, to give my room away because I had taken my things out so that the room could cleaned completely. With no where to stay...hundreds of miles from home...the manager never even answered the phone from her frantic front desk person. Who gave her the right to cancel my reservation? Who does that? Without any further voicemails or explanations? After dinner I returned and couldn't figure out why my room key didn't work... I will never stay with this property again!!!! read more

If there was a zero star option I'd use it. We had a group stay using several rooms. We were treated horrible by Sue at the front desk. There were lots of groups staying there but our group seemed to get the focus from the not so friendly staff. There were bugs in rooms. They said waterbugs, some people said cockroaches. Either way they need to fumigate. Woke up to a cold shower because they said too many people were showering at same time. I guess one star would go for price because it was cheap. THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! Bed Bugs were all over the sheets and pull out bed. Sue (Susan) At the Front Desk was absolutely rude and disrespectful. We were traveling with a large group of 12 year old cheerleaders from 4 hours away and she made every excuse to get the police called due to noise. I was told at the time of reservation that I would have a double bed room accomodating 5 people and ended up with a one bed room at check in. Sue gave me every excuse in the book as to why we couldnt change to a double bed. It was the worst Hotel I have ever been to. The STAFF was HORRIBLE. Our Party from Sonoma County was Treated Poorly and we felt totally disrespected and profiled. NEVER STAY HERE! It was disgusting.
