Thermostat that doesn't set to the temp you choose

Check in person was super friendly, but made no attempt to upgrade my room as I have the gold status with Marriott brand. I give her a 4/5 but overall hotel stay is a 1/5 One of the worst nights sleep I've had at a Marriott branded hotel. Thankfully it was only for one night. My AC control wasn't working, not matter what temperature I set it to, it always stayed at 76° and did not go down from there. Even in the corner of the room they had a space heater because last week was a bit cold. They knew this rooms AC was broken and still haven't fixed it. I couldn't get comfortable due to the temperature and yeah the window opens a little bit, but my room was facing the 205 freeway. Pillows were way too soft, had to double stack pillows because one isn't enough but even two is a little too high.

Other than the customer service which was actually good (+1 star for you!) and the $49 rate (discount rate) everything about the stay was disappointing due to the state of the hotel room. We had booked a room using employee family and friends discount, and were offered two options: 1 room without ac or an accessible room with two queens. Mind you, we had an initial horrifying experience at the Fairfield Inn SF airport where we walked into a room with a live, adult bed bug. I killed it, took it down on the pillow, and had them cancel our booking but also make a call for another hotel to accommodate us. Anyway that made us have a huge distrust in Fairfield Inns in general. Fast forward to today, we chose the one with the working AC. It screamed dirty, unsanitary, unsafe, and in dire need of repairing. We requested to check out because we both couldn't remain there in that unsanitary environment especially post-pandemic. Long story short, our experiences of Fairfield Inns remains at the bottom of all past hotel experiences and we will never be giving this location another try. I really need Fairfield Inn to step up in terms of quality of services rendered, cleanliness of rooms, working facilities (bathrooms, etc) and safety.

This is what room 216 looks like at 10:20pm at night, the best view in the house (parking lot street lights).

Room 216, Fairfield Inn in Tracy, stay away. After a long day at work on a business trip, there's nothing better than going back to your room for a good night's sleep. As a new Marriott member I tried to find the closest one in the city of Tracy, luckily enough I was able to find a Fairfield Inn close to where I was working. Success! I grabbed dinner across the street at Red Robin, planned the next (and most important) day of the trip only to go back to my room to realize the lights from the parking lot are beaming through my window. Room 216, Fairfield Inn in Tracy, stay away. This is what it looks like from my room at 10:17pm. No black out curtains on a room that clearly is facing the street lights. I've been trying to go to bed for the past 2 hours, I can't help but to look out the window because it's so bright (my eyes were closed). This might be the last time I stay at a Fairfield Inn, also the switch to Hilton sounds really good right about now. I'm sure they take pride in allowing their guests to sleep at night time, essentially what a hotel is made for.

This location is one of the few in the city, but definitely one I would not stay out again. The TV was missing, cardboard taped on the window, air conditioning unit in the room. The staff was friendly, nothing but sit out but the actual hotel was not good

it's really sad because the staff is very sweet in upgrading us. ): unfortunately starting from our first room; as soon as you walk into the room the carpet is soaked from a leak coming from the shower. we walked out right after and made the complaint. after upgrading us to a bigger room with a bigger bed we wake up the next morning to ants all swarming the shower and bathroom walls. our family member who was staying at the same hotel had to complain about their first room having ants as well. it's summer and the temps are reaching triple digits so any room on the third floor will be hard to cool down quickly. i'm not sure how this place doesn't have things like this handled. i'm only giving out this review so the owners can fix their issues and so people are aware before booking with them. (:

The breakfast area was really nice.

He had excellent customer service, was…read moreprofessional, helpful, and did the best he could while clearly working without enough support. But based on the hotel itself, this would be 0 stars. The room was extremely unclean. The refrigerator, microwave, counters, remote, door handle, and multiple other surfaces were dirty and sticky. My mom's room also had a blood stain on the sheets. We were handed cleaning supplies because the room was so dirty that I ended up cleaning parts of it myself. Check-in was delayed even though rooms were supposed to be ready at 3 PM. On top of that, there were barking dogs and a basketball team running through the halls making noise late at night and again early in the morning. Staff tried to excuse the barking by saying someone was near the door, but if guests bring dogs to a hotel they should not be disturbing everyone else. The office manager was also not pleasant and came off dismissive when I asked a simple question about a 30-minute late checkout. Breakfast was disappointing and below the standard I normally expect from Hilton properties. I've stayed at multiple Hilton properties recently, and this was by far the worst. CJ deserves recognition, but the hotel itself needs serious improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and management. All the manager said was she'll talk to someone about it

Went here for a staycation because of the free breakfast and indoor pool. Overall, a really great…read moredecision! Pros: - amazing, heated indoor pool. A perfect temperature and very clean. The pool room is pretty small, but when we were there it was easy to get it all to ourselves. The craziest thing is the pool is open until midnight! - really good coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. It was a dark roast and had a lot of flavor. We really appreciated being able to get coffee after dinner, or whenever we wanted - pretty nice location near a lot of shops and restaurants. We were able to see July 4th fireworks from our room - breakfast the first morning of our stay was really good! Omelettes were better than the Holiday Inn Express, and the sausages were restaurant quality. The staff was on top of it, stocking everything constantly. Good selection of juices and the waffle station makes the best hotel breakfast waffles with a lot of flavor. We appreciated that there were hashbrowns as well - staff was really kind and were always very helpful - clean, reasonably modern rooms with the BEST hotel TV I've ever used. It was very responsive and fast, without any of the usual frustrations. It also has streaming services you can sign in to. If you don't want to sign in, you can use Tubi or Pluto for free on demand movies, which is amazing. There are also free games to play together which is cool. - very quiet overall, even during the holiday weekend. We barely heard anyone else in the hotel except at the pool and at breakfast Cons: - 2nd day breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to the first day. Standard buffet scrambled eggs with little flavor, and no meat or potatoes! Just some biscuits and gravy, which were fine, but no comparison to bacon or sausage. My gf and I felt that, compared to a Holiday Inn Express, the breakfast options here aren't as good when there is no meat. The meat and omelettes were much better here than they are there, but when we had none, we realized the other options were pretty lacking. No good pastries like the cinnamon bun at HI, and limited yogurt, granola, and cereal options. If I was to pick one for consistent breakfast offerings, I would probably pick HIE. - weird $12 parking fee is kind of annoying and subtracts some of the affordability away from this place - rooms were kind of small, I felt, compared to a Holiday Inn Express, and the tv was a bit small. Not really a big issue though

A solid 4 1/2 stars. I am in Tracy, and picked this place to stay for the night. The price…read more was only roughly 100 bucks on a Monday night. For what I got, it was extremely good. They had been doing renovations, and you can tell. The hotel is kept up very well. The lobby is bright and clean, and they have plenty of places to sit. The. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. It's in a good neighborhood close to I 205, and you do have to scan your room key to get on the elevator. There is a pool and spa, they are outdoors, but they do keep them open and maintained year round. If it weren't raining, I would've loved to use that spa. They also have a guest Laundry. The room was decent sized, and it was spotless! The TV got Dish Network with a very good picture, there's a fridge and a microwave, there was plenty of lighting and lots of places to charge my gear, and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds. I had slept on in a long time. Not too soft, not too hard, just perfect! The thermostat kept the temperature just right. . The bathtub had a permanent bath mat in it, but the hot water can be a little tricky. I turned the knob all the way to the left, and I was not getting any hot water at all. I called down to the lobby, and she told me that to get hot water, you just barely turn the knob to the left, like you would normally do for cold water. Basically, it's reversed. They had a good breakfast in the morning. Fruit cups, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, a pancake machine, Eggo style waffles, and two hot choices. Today, they had sausages and eggs. They also have hard boiled eggs, as well as juice, coffee. And hot cocoa. The coffee and hot cocoa are available 24 hours a day. Breakfast was very good. I had an appointment at 10 AM, and I didn't want to leave my gear in my car, so I asked them if they could extend my 11 AM check out to noon. No problem at all, they were glad to do it for me. The onlyreason I'm taking off a half star, is because of the Wi-Fi. Basic Wi-Fi is free, if you want. Full Wi-Fi, you have to pay five dollars a night. The basic Wi-Fi was just fast enough to stream video, but it was a little bit spotty. I have good hotspot data on my phone, so I just use my phone for Wi-Fi. Other than that, everything was great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
