I thought this particular hotel was somewhat dated. The lobby and the breakfast room, as well as the room I stayed in were quite small. I've stayed at a number of other different Fairfield's, and in my opinion this one is definitely not representative of the chain. The hotel is located out at the edge of a large shopping mall, so the parking is connected and essentially together with all the other stores and restaurants that are located in the mall. The one big plus is that are many stores and a variety of restaurants within very close proximity that you can easily walk to. read more

Look, it is a budget hotel, upscale motel, whatever you want to call it, but it was nice in the niche that it occupies. I was here for business for a night, in late and out early, but the room was comfortable and clean, and th shower was the best I've had at this level of accommodations. It wasn't a tub with curtain, but an actuall shower with the shower head high enough I didn't have to duck to get under it (I am only 6', but most tub showers are too low. Breakfast was also a bit over standard. Waffles, scrambled eggs..., but they had blueberry compote for the waffles and salsa for the eggs, so it was a nice upgrade from the standard free breakfast. Check in person was super friendly, but made no attempt to upgrade my room as I have the gold status with Marriott brand. I give her a 4/5 but overall hotel stay is a 1/5 One of the worst nights sleep I've had at a Marriott branded hotel. Thankfully it was only for one night. My AC control wasn't working, not matter what temperature I set it to, it always stayed at 76° and did not go down from there. Even in the corner of the room they had a space heater because last week was a bit cold. They knew this rooms AC was broken and still haven't fixed it. I couldn't get comfortable due to the temperature and yeah the window opens a little bit, but my room was facing the 205 freeway. Really liked this relatively new Fairfield, which provides everything you need & very efficiently. Our room for 4 was great - new bathroom & shower, nice sofa/sofabed area with table and chairs (we played plenty of board games and card games), microwave and fridge, enough places to charge devices, and two large wall-mounted flat TVs (LG brand). There's an indoor pool and free breakfast area, carpeted stairs you can take if you don't want to wait for elevator, and plenty of parking. Ruby at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Another older women who managed and cleaned the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful also. This was a perfect family stay in Tracy for cherry picking in Brentwood. We were vacationing with another family who stayed in a different room, and it was great to have breakfast together downstairs. Location was great off the highway, right next to shopping mall, and close to lots of convenient food options (In and Out, Chipotle, Sonic, IHOP, Olive Garden, etc). read more

Other than the customer service which was actually good (+1 star for you!) and the $49 rate (discount rate) everything about the stay was disappointing due to the state of the hotel room. We had booked a room using employee family and friends discount, and were offered two options: 1 room without ac or an accessible room with two queens. Mind you, we had an initial horrifying experience at the Fairfield Inn SF airport where we walked into a room with a live, adult bed bug. I killed it, took it down on the pillow, and had them cancel our booking but also make a call for another hotel to accommodate us. Anyway that made us have a huge distrust in Fairfield Inns in general. Fast forward to today, we chose the one with the working AC. It screamed dirty, unsanitary, unsafe, and in dire need of repairing. We requested to check out because we both couldn't remain there in that unsanitary environment especially post-pandemic. Long story short, our experiences of Fairfield Inns remains at the bottom of all past hotel experiences and we will never be giving this location another try. I really need Fairfield Inn to step up in terms of quality of services rendered, cleanliness of rooms, working facilities (bathrooms, etc) and safety. read more

This is a good hotel with an indoor pool. You can walk past the pool to a small outdoor patio with a table and some lounge chairs. The hotel was clean, and the free breakfast was good! Note that we stayed here during COVID quarantine, so vacancy was high, but we had a fantastic time here on our road trip South. I have never experienced hotel staff who have gone more out of their way to make us feel welcome, and we're not even at 5-star resort. I wish I had gotten her name, but the woman working the late shift on Friday, 3/20 is exceptional. She checked us in, had us put in breakfast orders, and got me ice for the room. The next morning at 9 am, we received a knock on our door and were given our free breakfast options via room service. It was amazing. Kudos to this staff for going above and beyond during a stressful period when they had every excuse to hunker down and avoid guests. Our room was spotless & extremely comfortable, and we had no issues at all. If I were traveling to the area in the future, I would absolutely return. Thanks for everything! read more

Room 216, Fairfield Inn in Tracy, stay away. After a long day at work on a business trip, there's nothing better than going back to your room for a good night's sleep. As a new Marriott member I tried to find the closest one in the city of Tracy, luckily enough I was able to find a Fairfield Inn close to where I was working. Success! I grabbed dinner across the street at Red Robin, planned the next (and most important) day of the trip only to go back to my room to realize the lights from the parking lot are beaming through my window. Room 216, Fairfield Inn in Tracy, stay away. This is what it looks like from my room at 10:17pm. No black out curtains on a room that clearly is facing the street lights. I've been trying to go to bed for the past 2 hours, I can't help but to look out the window because it's so bright (my eyes were closed). This might be the last time I stay at a Fairfield Inn, also the switch to Hilton sounds really good right about now. Normally I don't post reviews but the people need to be warned. No air conditioning, no on site laundry, no gym, no business center. They put a lock on the cooler for sodas. It took them a week to put water in the cooler. The bathroom doors aren't level and close on their own. The water stinks. The elevator takes forever. Wow. Yet again, I should have checked Yelp, but I made this reservation through work. So, I really had no idea what to expect other than it is a Fairfield Inn. BTW, I like Fairfield Inns, so that's not a jab. HOWEVER, other reviews are so right. The renovations are inconvenient, but the price of the room does not reflect it. The breakfast is literally in one of the rooms on the first floor (sans beds, obviously :). What really caused me to write this review, though, is that they had the gall to charge me for parking!!! Twenty dollars to park in their parking lot that is NOT even in a city. No valet. Not only that, half of their parking is blocked by equipment used for the renovations. So, to make up for their loss of parking due to their renovations, they are going to charge me $20!! That's just lame. read more

it's really sad because the staff is very sweet in upgrading us. ): unfortunately starting from our first room; as soon as you walk into the room the carpet is soaked from a leak coming from the shower. we walked out right after and made the complaint. after upgrading us to a bigger room with a bigger bed we wake up the next morning to ants all swarming the shower and bathroom walls. our family member who was staying at the same hotel had to complain about their first room having ants as well. it's summer and the temps are reaching triple digits so any room on the third floor will be hard to cool down quickly. i'm not sure how this place doesn't have things like this handled. i'm only giving out this review so the owners can fix their issues and so people are aware before booking with them. I recently spent the weekend at Fairfield Inn, and I was completely content with my stay. The process of checking in was quick and easy. I was given a short speech about the hotel rules, including the extra precautions they're taking in light the Covid-19 pandemic, and at the end I was given a parking pass for my car. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean, which is all I really hope for during a hotel stay. My bed was comfortable, my shower was hot, and the T.V. worked. Maid service was currently suspended due to the pandemic, which I was informed about from the beginning, so trash was to be put in the hallway for easy pickup, and extra amenities such as towels were to be picked up from the front desk. This wasn't a problem, and I appreciated the consideration for people during these times. In the lobby, they do have a little set up to get drinks and snacks, which could be bought either at the time or charged to your room, which I found convenient. Checking out was easier than checking in, over in just a few seconds, and when I received my invoice in my email I found no extra charges. I will definitely be using Fairfield Inn for most of my future weekend getaways from now on. read more

Sometimes it's not available but they accommodate me with the next best room. The manager is awesome as well as the staff. This place exceeded expectations, especially for a small hotel far from a major city. The staff was friendly, the room was neat and clean, and the breakfast selection was especially nice and organized. The woman who managed the dining area was very kind and attentive (sadly I didn't get her name). Our AC was out but the staff had preemptively put a portable unit in our room. Absolutely no one knew anything, the staff acted as if we were in the wrong for being upset about my stolen items and cash. The customer service was horrible, I had to have the police come up to make a report. Steven the maintenance man yelled at me in the lobby and was very aggressive with me. So disappointing as this used to be the nicest hotel in Tracy, but I won't be staying here again. Our room that I had called ahead to check on was dirty when we arrived after 4pm check in. There was a leak in the lobby and towels on the floor. Took forever to get into another room, then all the air conditioning was out in the hotel so they had standing residential units with the exhaust out the window. Nothing seemed up to Marriott expectations. They want to try to charge for parking, but don't do it as the whole area around is empty with a Red Robin that is vacant and the mall next door. Really dumb to charge resort parking at a motel with plenty of Surrounding open spaces. Very disappointing. read more

The reason why I am giving a one star review is I went in there for a room on my birthday and was charged $263 for a room and was told I was being charged a $100 dollar hold so I believed it was $130 for a room well a week later when I never got my $100 back I called and was told that it was $230 for a room which is not what I was told when booking I just received a call from a lady saying that I wasn't told what I was told and her calling me a liar terrible customer service here and I want to be told how to contact corporate so I can report her for the terrible customer service here I would never recommend anyone staying here read more

Stayed here briefly for one night (like 7 hours) in the midst of a road trip. First off, this place is safe. It is not in a dodgy part of rural California. The parking lot is well lit and you certainly feel like your belongings are safe. Next, the staff is akin to your needs and purpose and accommodate accordingly. We got in late and all we wanted to do was check-in and rest. The process could not have been quicker, smoother, and less convoluted. The room was decent and got the job done. The hot breakfast the next morning was not the best (no meat products), but oh well, it's free! Right off the freeway, great value! read more

Hallways were pretty musty, bed had hair in the sheets, and the bath towels smelled like greasy kitchen towels. I booked through the Bonvoy app the day before. Keep in mind I have 48 nights already taken this year so two nights away from Platinum status. Hotel calls me this morning stating they oversold and had to cancel my reservation. Told me "not guaranteed if booked within 48 hours" with my gold status? Seriously? You oversold on your own app - not thru a third party - and I am platinum in 2 nights. Not acceptable. At all. And to not offer me another hotel option or extra points for the inconvenience or ANYTHING except "sorry" is just poor business. Very disappointed. I like Fairfield and stay there many times. This one is good but it's a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with the surroundings. There's no big sign and the hotel is in the mall center. At the entrance there's an Applebee's, you will find a small sign saying "HOTELS", then follow it. I am lucky enough to meet a pretty girl who directed me there, thank her a lot. The location is very convenient, close to highway and a couple of shopping plaza nearby. Breakfast is included in the room charge, and free coffee is always available. read more

The staff here is amazing.! Jessica, Michelle, and one other receptionist (so sorry I forgot to catch your name) helped us with checking in and out and made it so easy.! After a horrible first few hours in Tracy, these ladies really turned it all around. They truly made me and my family feel welcome and comfortable for our weekend stay. Every time we left and returned we were always greeted with a smile and of course our girls loved being able to swim in the indoor pool during the windy weather.! Thank you once again for helping us after everything we went through at the "other place".. As for a quick review of the hotel: Clean rooms.. loved the fact we were able to watch YouTube and Netflix on the smart tv for our kiddos.. The lady at the front desk couldn't find the booking that was already taken from my account she basically said sorry can't do anything about it and if i wasn't going to book a room then i needed to leave after going in circles the management threaten to call the cops so i left . This is the first time I have ever left a low rating for a Marriott because it was disappointing. At first, when entering the room it looks nice and tidy. But when you do a closer inspection that's when you find what is intended to be covered up. My reservation Indicated there would be two people in our party. When I went to the front desk to check in, the lady saw that there were two of us (Vanessa was wonderful!!) Of course I can't fault her for this because clearly she is not the one who cleans the room. Well in the bathroom there was only one face towel and one washcloth, I guess they are cutting funds and expect to people to share. Not happening. So I called down to the front desk and a few minutes went by and no one came up so I went downstairs on my way out and let the lady know they could leave it in the room (which they did). After we returned at night and showered, we were ready to go to bed. When I pulled the cover back low and behold there were little fine hairs on different spots of the bed. This let me know those sheets were not clean because there was hair in more than one area, which is very disgusting and unsanitary. Housekeeping should be ashamed. When I inspected the pillows they looked dirty as well. It could have been an iron mark burn, which it appeared to be. Why someone would be trying to iron a pillow I have no idea. But on the other side of the bed, where my husband was inspecting, there were also hairs in different areas as well. I have attached photos for proof and reference. It was about 1:30 in the morning so calling and having to wait for the one person that works at the front desk to bring these things up may have taken longer than we wished to wait. so we ended up putting the comforter back on the bed (which looked to be clean) and slept on top of that. In the bathroom underneath the sink it was pretty dirty looking. It says if there was built-up dirt that didn't get mopped. This hotel also lists free breakfast (which at this point if the bed isn't clean I don't trust the workers hands to be clean to prepare food). However they failed to say that the breakfast was closed/canceled. Overall, this was a pretty disappointing stay and a waste of my Marriott rewards points. read more

The customer service has been excellent. We had a large group ( team ) stay here during a tournament. The staff and management were so nice and accommodating. They allowed some of the rooms late check-out since our last game was late and we needed the rooms for our baggage and changing. They gave our team goodie bags too. What a wonderful touch!! The rooms are very clean and include a small microwave, frig, and coffee maker. The indoor pool is small but clean and nice for a quick dip . We will definitely stay here again if in the area. read more

**BEWARE $20 Parking Fee they charge you after you leave. I processed my booked through Expedia and it states "Parking included" and so we call to make sure and asked about parking in advance because I saw previous reviews about it. They said it was included in the price. WHY ARE YOU GUYS LYING ABOUT THIS? This information should be provided, prior to checking in AND AFTER CHECKOUT. It's like a hidden fee! Totally unacceptable! I checked in here Thursday October 6th and paid for my room for 11 days so I'm suppose to check out Monday October 17th. I was t told before paying for my room the air at this hotel is broken so right when I walk in my room it was 86 degrees . Everyday "it's suppose to get fixed" and it's still not. I asked for a fan but they gave them away to other people so I'm shit out of luck. I asked to be transferred to another Marriott and they said I can only check out . Even if I did check out I wouldn't get my money back for 5 days with my bank. My kids sweat bad and have to sleep 100% naked at night . I feel so bad. This is actually super ghetto and clearly money hungry hotel. I wish I would have been told this before paying. I had no issue at the Hampton inn across the parking lot. I for-sure won't be coming back here. Some of the staff is cool but ghetto hotel all around. Bad first time experience and I won't let there be a 2nd time here. Very good hotel! The breakfast was fine, but I really loved the helper they had that could make waffles and re-fill your drinks for you! Very nice rooms, pretty big size. Especially the bathrooms, and the shower, which I felt were pretty big, or at least bigger than what I've usually had at hotels! Overall a very good hotel with very good and nice people at the desk/counter, that I would recommend! read more
