This is a good hotel to unwind in. It's like a second home (Home2!). They have everything you need, fireplaces outside, grills, burners, microwave, large refrigerator, comfortable bed and blackout curtains! The service is fantastic and they offer free meals (but being in Hawaii time, you can't wake up in time!). And the Bear diner is right down the road!!!! (You must eat there!) read more

We stayed here on a whim. I LOVED EVERY PART OF IT. I HATE that the prices are going higher now, but it was so luxurious and fun. The bright colors, the clean bedding, room, and kindness of the front desk. I was so bummed out we didn't arrive sooner to enjoy the many amazing ammenities. The breakfast was fabulous! I made myself a yogurt parfait that I loved, waffles that felt super guilty to eat - but they were delicious, fresh fruit, and pastries. On the yucky side were - the sausage or turkey flat round patties and round flat patty eggs were not very good at all. And the coffee wasn't either, and the hot water tasted like it had been filtered through old grinds or something it had a hint of coffee. However, I am thrilled with this place, so the few inconveniences I am happy to over look! Just an overall fun vibrant place to stay when traveling. I wish we had stayed at the Turlock location for a recent funeral, but were unable to at that time. We will be back for sure! The apples are free too!! :) read more

We drove by this place earlier this year, after trying a bakery nearby. It looked nice and new, so my sister booked us a room for a girl's only getaway. It's an hour's drive for my family, but only 40 mins for me. A staycation! We were all impressed by the clean, colorful lobby as soon as we walked in. The rooms were sparkling clean, and they greeted my sister with a personalized welcome sign on the TV screen. Nice touch! After a fun day around town, we enjoyed a poolside picnic dinner and watched the sunset. We had a simple dinner on the reclining lounge chairs, then dipped our legs in the warm pool. The perfect way to relax after a long day of shopping. There were clean BBQ grills behind the pool area, so we could've bought something to grill. Maybe next time. :-) After dinner and catching up, we checked out the gym area. Everything looked brand new and inviting. Did we work out? Heck no, we were too full of carbs and ready for bed. But great to know that there's a clean gym available and a washer and dryer too! Breakfast is included, so we sure took advantage of that the next morning. It was clean and well-stocked with English Muffins topped with cheesy bacon omelets, or mini breakfast pizzas. Hashbrowns and many other carb options were available. They also offer juice and Starbucks coffee with different flavored syrups. Everything we had was delicious. The ladies working behind the breakfast counters were so friendly and welcoming too. We liked it so much that my sister booked us the same hotel in San Diego a few months later. Although we loved San Diego, I would choose this one in Tracy, since it was less crowded. We appreciate these hidden gems tucked away and closer to home. read more

Review based on customer service via phone only. I Called about a room. Person answering the phone was curt. Told me they were sold out completely. I'm a Hilton status member and could see and book a room online. I asked about a room type and the response was "I'm telling you they're not available". So I asked again about availability of rooms and was told rooms were in fact available. Based on the phone service alone I'm booking at a different property. read more

We should stayed at this hotel on the night of 11/10 through 11/12. The gals at the front desk were fantastic! I wish I had the gal's name from Monday night's check-in, she was great! Nice hotel with lots of really cool things for the kids to do while on vacation. They have s really cool free breakfast they provided in the mornings that me and all of my family really enjoyed The towels are super soft and they feel really comfortable. I'm leaving a 1 star because this hotel gave me bed bug bites, I stayed there more than once and thought maybe it was in my head but NO it wasn't, I never had a bed bug issue and when I returned home after a week I began to wake up with bed bugs I BROUGHT THEM HOME, I will never stay here again. read more

We were transiting Tracy, CA on 9/20/23 and we needed a place to stay overnight so we booked 2 rooms using our Chase Rewards at Home2Suites Tracy but we received an email stating that only 1 room can be fulfilled. We immediately called Chase Rewards customer service to cancel because we needed 2 rooms and was told that Home2Suites won't refund the 1 room that they can fulfill. There are 5 of us and we needed 2 rooms. Home2suites couldn't fulfill our request but we were still charged for their mistake. Very deceptive. I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member and won't recommend this hotel. We did not check in and went to Hampton Inn in Modesto about 15 mins away and had a very pleasant experience. read more

Newer hotel with all the bells and whistles in Tracy. Very friendly staff, easy registration because I booked through Hilton app, newer amenities, large rooms. Other than the handicap accessible shower spewing and leaking water onto the bathroom floor because the there is no lip or barrier to really stop the water, I will definitely be staying here again. read more

In my 4 decades of travel, I've only twice asked to cancel a hotel reservation due to the quality of the hotel. This trip was unfortunately one of those times (NOT due to Home2 Suites - my trip was originally booked with a different hotel). I had just driven over 2 hours in traffice to Norcal, and Home2 Suites rescued me from a competitor down the street today who I bailed on because their HVAC had clearly been out for a WHILE. The other hotel showed me 3 different rooms, all of which, in addition to the regular central AC, had janky portable AC units that were DUCT TAPED to the window for exterior ventilation (meaning that it's a known issue). There were multiple people in line behind me to inquire about the lack of proper HVAC as well. The room temperatures were reading 78-82 but set in the 60s which is pretty gross in the CA humidity. I called Home2 Suites to see if they could accommodate me. Mary was very transparent on what she had available and what the prices were since they had very limited availability, and all of the other hotels in town were booked (I called around first). I zoomed right over and she was so sweet and accommodating. She was very sympathetic and professional and I felt so safe since she explained the process fully. The room is extremely clean, beautiful, quiet, and properly ventilated so I know they run a tight ship. I'm a Gold status Marriott member but I'm reconsidering my loyalty due to this prior hotel. At the very least, I'll be a Hilton convert for NorCal for sure. Thanks Mary and Hilton for turning a miserable experience into a positive one! read more

This was a totally last minute stay for one of our kids' 16th birthday. The staff was so friendly. The place was so clean, new, and super cute. We were greeted by Tricia and Mary at the front desk. When they heard we planned on dining at Texas Roadhouse, they gave us coupons for the restaurant. The next day, I had a work emergency, but I didn't bring my laptop. Thankfully the business center was there. I told Sunita at the front desk that it saved my life. We'll definitely stay again. The kids had a blast at the pool. I enjoyed the hot tub, and the complimentary breakfast was a great bonus! read more

I stayed with my wife and 4 kids for 5 nights and it was an overall good experience. Positive: easy access to ammenities, digital key on your phone app, front desk customer service was mostly great, the pool area was always clean and nice set up with lights at night, clean rooms, kitchenette had all utensils included, hotel location was very centric to restaurants, shops and hospitals, delicious breakfast with decent varierity. Negative: my wife's phone app key worked, but mine didn't, I requested to add a night on the front desk and the lady told me that she would get back to me to confirm, but she didn't, I'm glad I walked by the front desk and followed up. read more

The rooms are well designed and equipped with amenities with all the comforts that you need home away from home! We were here for a wedding and did not know much about the area and very limited for time, however Sunita at the front desk was extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist us. We needed a small room for multiple interviews and for our interviewer to stay. Staff was wonderful! So helpful when we needed to change dates several times. They guided our guests to the room location. Allowed us to guarantee the room so we could have the room number in advance and even provided a room near the elevator for interviewee convenience. When we needed to remain later than check out time, they made us feel comfortable and welcome in the lobby. The hotel was clean and quiet and everyone smiled and said hello. I would have been able to put up with the noisy rooms and the misleading, inconvenient policies.... Until my son got stuck in the elevator, pressed the button to get out, all the buttons went dark, the elevator took him to a different floor and my child ended up having an anxiety attack!! The front desk girls response was 'I am sorry but you can call 911 for your son if you need to'. I later found out the front desk and management were aware of the problem; they had not informed people upon check in, had not posted a sign on the outside or the inside of the elevator and had not given an alternative staircase to use. Then I was told the elevator company said it was not a 'safety concern' and the manager (AND THE OWNER) would not answer the front desk girl Ruth's multiple phone attempts. We were staying in the hotel to celebrate my sons birthday and he ended up completely traumatized. The worst hotel stay of my entire life! read more

Rudest staff in the hotel industry. After I gave them honest survey feedback, I get an email from the manager with all the usual excuses. I have been travelling for over 40 years for business and leisure and have a lot of exposure to what hotels can and cannot accommodate for their guest, if they really want to try. One of the worst hotel I stayed in. The room had fleas or something. My body had 10 red bites. Too close to the freeway. Signs are posted requiring guess to wear mask. Staff doesn't enforce it. Too many dogs in a hotel. Not enough coffee or shampoo in the room. Pool was dirty and always shading. No pool towel being stocked. Breakfast was unsay. Ran out of milk in one hour for breakfast. One elevator was broken. Staff knew about it, but never posted a sign. Never or will I recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

I stayed at the hotel with a friend for a two night stay. The Hotel was really well appointed, cheerful and clean. The room was very spacious and had a mini kitchen with refrigerator and microwave and dishwasher. I would give a 5 star to the lady who checked us in , Sunita , she was so friendly and professional and immediately made us feel at home. She actually took the time to answer our questions and never made us feel hurried or rushed. The 4 star rating is unfortunately for the morning employee who I made the mistake of saying good morning to on the way to the coffee machine. She made us feel as if it was putting her out to look up from her computer screen to address us. I really went back and forth with this review before posting but I think she needs to try a bit more to emit a friendly vibe. I too am in the service industry and if I ran my business like her I would have never made it a year. My travel companion said her tag said Assistant Manager so ?. I think overall your Hotel deserves 5 stars but maybe switch Sunita to days and put grumpy on the night shift where she obviously belongs. I have kept my Mom and Pop business going strong for over 20 years and have over 50 employees. NO BAD Attitudes is our Motto !!! Thank you Sunita and Mary for making our stay so very nice. read more
