A solid 4 1/2 stars. I am in Tracy, and picked this place to stay for the night. The price was only roughly 100 bucks on a Monday night. For what I got, it was extremely good. They had been doing renovations, and you can tell. The hotel is kept up very well. The lobby is bright and clean, and they have plenty of places to sit. The. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. It's in a good neighborhood close to I 205, and you do have to scan your room key to get on the elevator. There is a pool and spa, they are outdoors, but they do keep them open and maintained year round. If it weren't raining, I would've loved to use that spa. They also have a guest Laundry. The room was decent sized, and it was spotless! The TV got Dish Network with a very good picture, there's a fridge and a microwave, there was plenty of lighting and lots of places to charge my gear, and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds. I had slept on in a long time. Not too soft, not too hard, just perfect! The thermostat kept the temperature just right. . The bathtub had a permanent bath mat in it, but the hot water can be a little tricky. I turned the knob all the way to the left, and I was not getting any hot water at all. I called down to the lobby, and she told me that to get hot water, you just barely turn the knob to the left, like you would normally do for cold water. Basically, it's reversed. They had a good breakfast in the morning. Fruit cups, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, a pancake machine, Eggo style waffles, and two hot choices. Today, they had sausages and eggs. They also have hard boiled eggs, as well as juice, coffee. And hot cocoa. The coffee and hot cocoa are available 24 hours a day. Breakfast was very good. I had an appointment at 10 AM, and I didn't want to leave my gear in my car, so I asked them if they could extend my 11 AM check out to noon. No problem at all, they were glad to do it for me. The onlyreason I'm taking off a half star, is because of the Wi-Fi. Basic Wi-Fi is free, if you want. Full Wi-Fi, you have to pay five dollars a night. The basic Wi-Fi was just fast enough to stream video, but it was a little bit spotty. I have good hotspot data on my phone, so I just use my phone for Wi-Fi. Other than that, everything was great. 08/24/2025 to 08/26/2025 Microtel Inn & Suites was able to accommodate our family a few Rooms were provided and many of us drove in from Los Angeles to a funeral in Tracy. The rooms were clean, and there was no bad smell. The AC worked perfectly fine, VERY COOL ROOM! The Pool was clean and a perfect temperature. The lobby ended up being a get together for the family before going to bed (we apologize for the loudness) but thank you for allowing us to make memories here. Breakfast was good: Waffles, Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, Yogurt, Cereal, Muffins, Bagels, Bread for Toast, Coffee, Juice , Milk etc. Great Place to stay in Tracy, Ca Note: the small gym is located on the first floor by the elevators. read more

My husband and I stay several days a week here every month. The maid service is extremely noisy talking loud and banging stuff around the whole time they are cleaning . They are not conscience of guests sleeping or otherwise ( everyday) So today I mentioned this to the front desk.... She was extremely rude and said she couldn't ask them to be quiet as that was disrespectful to the help.... I couldn't believe she argued with me about it. Then told me we weren't welcome there anymore! We have been loyal there for almost 2 years on a weekly basis. The front seat girl on 2/6/26 is extremely rude and shouldn't be in customer service at all..... just lost our business! We won't be back ever. read more

We went here for 1 night while our power was out during a 103 degree day, we just wanted somewhere to keep cool and relax. The clientele is sketchy, someone was smoking weed by the entrance and no one said a word. There were a ton of people at the pool in the evening being loud and no one said anything. Also, they advertised a "fitness center" and even have a picture of it, it doesn't exist. They have a room that's labeled "fitness center" the only thing in there is a dusty broken exercise bike, a treadmill that isn't plugged in and cleaning supplies. We ended up leaving around 9pm because we didn't feel safe and we didn't trust leaving our vehicle in the parking lot overnight. We will never be back. read more

Still waiting to hear from Manager Octavio who was looking into our stolen Apple Airpods Pro by an employee. We left the hotel with a late checkout and remembered they were left on the nightstand. We traced them to the hotel. We arrived home and called and was told nothing in the lost in found to call in the Am for the manager. Manager was late and unavailable for first few hours. Later stated the room still has not been cleaned the day we left because employee left early. And was not cleaned the next day by noon. We mentioned they were tracked on/near I-5 going away from our travels heading home. He then said maybe laundry was in the room. ummm, isn't that housekeeping? He has not returned my call, or offer a resolve. Emails with Wyndham Customer Service go unanswered. In process of closing my Wyndham credit card and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor customer service, hot tub was down and the fitness room. Subpar breakfast options. Oh...and the domestic violence yelling and door slamming made for a fun night! read more

My fiancé and I arrived at the hotel and stayed overnight. While I was in the car gathering up all our belongings my fiancé had told me that we had such great customer service coming from Maricella at the front desk. Above all of that the room that was given to us was clean. We don't have any complaints. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone who is coming from out of town. They also have a wonderful station for a free breakfast dine in. Also, the staff of the housekeeping services was very nice for taking our trash out. We forgot to get his name. Solid 3.5 stars. I'm telling you now, the area seems a bit sketch. We are literally right next to what looks like a halfway burn trap house. On the other side, a 34 hr tiny casino. The look from our window (323) was a field with what looked like broken down cars parked there. BUT they obviously have renovated cuz when you walk in, it's very nice and clean. They have free continental breakfast which was good. They have an automatic mini pancake maker! So cool. Lol first time ysing one. It lets you watch it being made. Lol Our room was set up almost like a dorm room/studio. There's an island literally cutting the room in half, separating the two queen beds. Has a sink, microwave and fridge. Very spacious smart furniture placement. Service was great too. Zero issues. The only thing that look like it jacked renovating were the hallways. Carpeting looked like it was from the previous part. We needed a place for the night because we were in town for a 15th birthday celebration. From the pictures online, did not look too bad, and we didn't have many options as I booked three days before our stay. So, I took a chance and booked. This place is very deceiving. You walk into the lobby and it's very nice and clean. It's in a pretty sketch part of town but there was good lighting in the parking lot, so I didn't feel too unsafe. We asked for a late check-in, which was given to us, no problem. We arrived and there was a long wait. Okay, fine. Only one guy working, understandable. When we finally get our keys, up to the third floor we go. As soon as you step out of the elevator it's like you've been transported to a whole other hotel. Walls and carpet were so beat up! But, whatever, I'm friggin tired and so are my kids and hubby. Finally get to "our" room and the key doesn't work. We try. We try. And, we try. Does not work. So, my husband goes downstairs and gets new keys. While he's down there, me and my kids swear we can hear a tv playing from the room. When my husband comes back up I tell him about the tv, but then we come to the conclusion that maybe it's the next room that the sound is coming from. So, we try the new keys, and again! They. Do. Not. Work. My husband then goes down again! Gets new keys. While he's down there I put my ear to the door and the tv is playing from that room. When my husband comes back up with new keys. I tell him to put his ear to the door and his eyes get wide. The room is already taken! He can hear people in the room and the reason it won't open is because they have the security lock on it. Jesus! What if we were able to get in and my kids saw something they shouldn't have! Something none of us wish to see. So, my husband goes back down to the office and the clerk apologizes and sends us to a room a couple doors down. How did he not see that in the system? I have no idea, but I'm dead tired, so I leave it alone. We finally get into our room and it's an okay room. It's clean and we have what we need. Here's where it gets worse! - Outside in the parking lot you can hear people fighting. When they stop fighting they are talking and laughing so loud. - I was woken up several times by the mini fridge! It made so much noise that I finally had it, got up and unplugged it. - After the mini fridge fiasco, I was woken up to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs! She was being beaten or something and I could hear a man screaming at her. It was so freaking scary. - Oh, and the air conditioning did not work in the valley, that's a hell no! We woke up early, got ready and got the hell out of there. The only reason I would consider giving it a star is because the clerk allowed our service animal without a fee. Yet, when we were walking out of the room with our dog in her crate, one of the housekeepers radios saying "yeah, room #whatever, is leaving and they have a dog." Um, I wasn't hiding the dog lady. Upon checkout, the new clerk was rude. I would hate working there too, girlie. So, do yourself a favor, doooooo not stay here! read more

Worst hotel and staff I've ever dealt with! We stayed at this hotel because we had a softball tournament , worst decision ever! The hotel was dirty, we could not use the pool, the sheets made us itchy and there was no ice available and machines for water and snacks ate our money! To top it off it was noisy we got no sleep. Next day we find out someone had died/murdered in the room across from me and my kids! To top it off the manager not once contacted us to let us know anything! Instead we were yelled at by the cleaning lady! When I went down to speak to the manager Paul, he did not once offer other accommodations. All he said was we were safe. How bout the trauma of seeing all those officers across and CSI. Not knowing how the person passed, we were right across! What if they would have came into my room? I canceled my 2nd night and was told I would be refunded instead I was charged 3 separate charges. Corporate didn't make it any better! They where also not helpful. SO DISAPPOINTING! I hardly ever give a 1-star rating but this place would get a zero-star if that was available. There were a few GOOD: 1) Jake, the night staff, was very professional, scouted up their one-and-only luggage cart for my use, and gave me directions to a nearby In n Out burger joint. 2) the bed mattress was very comfortable. Now, for the BAD: 1) The room has newly installed vinyl flooring without effective noise-deadening insulation. We were awoken SEVERAL TIMES by the guests moving about above us (our room 208). The guests above were not being obnoxious-- their steps were like the beating of a hammer above our heads! 2) The bathroom walls were unacceptably filthy (see photos of mold outside the bathtub). 3) I usually wear slippers in a motel for personal hygiene, but my slippers were loud and tapping on the vinyl floors; I did not want to disturb potential guests below us. Therefore, walking barefoot, I could feel floor grit-- ugh. 4) The mattresses are on exceptionally high platforms-- so high, it was actually difficult for my husband and I to get in and out! Really, it was a stupid climb that was particularly annoying when trying to stay sleepy after a quick, middle of the night bathroom visit. 5) Jake let me know ahead of time that the morning continental breakfast was minimal. What he didn't disclose was that the breakfast bar and floor were also dirty and not properly cleaned. We skipped breakfast and did a drive-thru at McDonald's. I'm going to make a very long story short. Their employee made a mistake and charged me around 800 for a 143 room. That put my balance negative for the whole weekend from 3/10 to 3/15 I had no money for food or even to get another room. The manager told me my funds will return in 2-3 days. That just means I have to be hungry for the next 2-3 business days. I asked for 1 free night but she wasn't having it. What these people did to me should be illegal. As of the time of writing this I still have not been refunded any of my money yet. They said they reversed the charges but still no money and now when I look at my bank account those charges they made aren't showing up on my account BUT the money hasn't been refunded so it's like they never charged me anything cause the evidence (bank transactions) are just disappearing from account but no money refunded. Management does not give a fuck about righting a wrong they've done to black people. I was basically told "fuck you I don't care if you have money to eat for the next 4 days or even if you have a place to sleep due to our mistakes" the stay here was like something from hell. Don't stay here. They give breakfast, I missed some by waking up late (when they say over at 10 they mean it).............. some of the employees refused to fucking feed me. It was part of the charge for the room. there's an odd Muslim temple in the same parking lot and I think they're connected judging from the staff. I honestly think I'm being played for a fool which won't end well for them. I stayed from 3/8 to 3/11 at a rate of 143 3/12-14 for 247.71 3/15 for 110.68 Yes this is the short version. I hope that says something to how bad my stay here was. Here are the charges that were made in error to my account and haven't been refunded. 2× 100$ room deposits 132, 100, 43, 286 bunch of wtf charges 5× 143 Left my account negative -399 and change After all of that I asked for "1" free night I didn't even ask for a gift card for food and I was told no. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS Beware! When we left they were charging a man for missing towels. Beware! After we left they charged us for smoking in the room. We only came here because a family member set it up for us for a funeral in town. The room was nice and all, but the staff was less to be desired, for a lack of better words. When we called to make sure our names we on the reservation, a gentlemen confirmed for us but stated it wasn't paid for (it was) but he was kind, acknowledged his mistake and we were all good. The next morning however, a woman came to our room, said that I music was too loud (we turned it down) and she kept saying we were smoking in the room when we weren't. We used a hot tool for our hair and there was steam/ smoke from that but we all knew we weren't allowed to smoke and if we did smoke it was outside. When I checked out, the same lady at the front desk (long brown hair, tattoos on her arm) wouldn't make any eye contact with me, was rude, and didn't even say thank you or goodbye. I just wanted the write to say good customer service is still very much appreciated and bad customer isn't, and will not go unnoticed. Really enjoyed our stay, even for the few short hours we had for the night. Got in at 2:30 am, fast check in and the front desk was so accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was decent and left us satisfied until lunch. The rooms were clean and the AC allowed the room to get below freezing, which is what we like. Husband working 16+ hour days(1 pm to 6 am) we live about 75 miles away and he needed to be back to work the next day so I rented the room and drove up to set up his necessities. I previously rented a room there about a month ago and had no issues at all. The original room was dirty hair everywhere dirty handprints everywhere ac did not work the fridge did not work so I went down to tell the lady in the front. She was super nice and understanding and switched my room right away. I get to the new room and set it up turned the ac and put things in the fridge that were perishable. Before leaving I asked the receptionist if it would be possible to extend checkout to 12 and if I had to pay a fee id do so. She said no problem i saw her go into my account watched as she typed it in. Husband arrives at 530 am, straight to the room to sleep..Then only to be woken up by the leaf blower .Then the housekeeping lady opened the door at 10 am because she needed to clean. my husband was glad he used the door lock before she just went in as if it was her home. She asked my husband if he was leaving yet and he said no because it was requested a late checkout. Again at 1115 the front desk receptionist knocked again asking my husband if he was leaving yet. i called when my husband told me this because I specifically drove up there to make sure his stay (even a few hrs) went smoothly and to make sure any issues are resolved before I left. The guy at the reception desk kept saying there was no note, sorry. he knew about the housekeeper but really didn't care. I asked to speak to the manager on duty (adriana ) and her way of speaking from the bat was condescending, which made me react in an aggressive way. I told her the issue and at the end she switched it and said that what my husband said about the housekeeper was a lie. she was certain she went at 11. But I told her that the person that went at 11 was Emanuel and he told him that the housekeeper had already tried coming in. My husband was understandably pissed bc he wasn't allowed to rest and when he told him about the late check out they plain and simple answered " we don't have any information indicating that." Adriana to kept focus on the original room was not to "my liking" and switched us rooms immediately. I never argued that . THAT was not part of the issue. And for her to assume it wasn't "to my liking" is blunt being that she wasn't the one who switched it " for me" I let her know I have pictures. Just because i rent a room and u "give me one" i have to settle especially when giving a dirty room. I'm paying for a service and not for her attitude. So from there on we argued and I had to repeat myself that the room switch was not the problem. She argued back that it was. She stated that there's nothing she can or will do because they had already " taken care of us by switching rooms." Again dismissing the real issue. She stated she did not believe that the housekeeper tried entering the room even an hour early before actual 11am check out.then I went from aggressive to pissed. That plain and simple told me we( my husband ) is lying about the whole situation. She made the statement repeatably that she ( housekeeper) didn't do anything wrong and assured me that basically that she stands on that statement. When I argued back to ask her " so you're saying that my husband is a liar? you're saying that he's lying about the whole situation?" she said she wasn't saying that. She's sure the housekeeper didn't do it, EVENTHOUGH she wasn't there. But her front desk knew bc the housekeeper went back and asked why wasn't he ( husband out yet) which then the front desk (Emmanuel) went back to the room and asked my husband if he was leaving yet. Adriana told me that they will extend the late check out as a courtesy and there was no fee. I said "ok when my husband told you guys this that was already discussed and agreed upon you're going to make the decision at that moment not to honor it? Because if the previous front desk said yes and she even said to me, "I'm going to leave them a note too because i wont be here at night but its fine for the late check out there shouldn't be a problem." "I watched her making notes, you still don't believe me that I was there IN PERSON to discuss this?" Her response,"like i said as a courtesy we will give you the late checkout." She went in circles. If my husband had already stated that that courtesy was arranged and let the housekeeper know the first time, then why would anyone else go bother my husband again at 11 to ask him if he was leaving yet? If that was already explained then why not honor the late checkout and apologize for the mistake? This whole ordeal was simply because a "manager" didn't know what the hell was going on but immediately made the assumption that the customer is a liar. The worst experience ever in my life. Checked into a room that wasn't even close to being ready and it smelt horribly of marijuana. Told the front desk and they said that they are not giving me another room. After demanding another 4x the lady finally looked and found a room (I don't know why she couldn't have done that in the first place). The staff is horribly rude and the entire hotel smelt very strong of marijuana the next day. I had 4 kids with me and I am very sad that I had to bring them there with that smell. If I could of gave this place no stars I would of, I had the worst experience of my life here. I booked through travelocity and when you book on their sometimes they don't tell you upfront there's a deposit. I've only had 1 other incident where I didn't know there was a deposit and that was at the clarion but I already paid the money so as a 1 time courtesy they let me stay with no deposit and that was through management. I live far from Tracy so I showed up about 7 and mind you I already purchased the room via debit days prior and I get here and I tell the girl at the front who was very very rude with attitude that I didn't know there was a deposit, the room was just standard and only 100 bucks. It's not like I'm at the Hilton, so she said she would "ask her manager" if they could wave it. She goes in the back and shuts the door and comes out and says "she said no" I told her the other guest wouldn't be here until 9 and that I would have to wait in the lobby the whole time and she says nothing. How freakin rude! Clarions deposit was 200$ and they waved it so why can't they?! Luckily my brother was able to Venmo me the cash and when I get in the room it's as small as a box with a tiny little bed. The way she was acting I thought it was gonna be the ritz! She was tall, white, lots of people tattoos, long brown curly hair. She needs training and if she really did talk to her boss that's a shame. They had amazing customer service specially the manager! help me out with any situation. but the fact I'm giving this place two stars is due to Establishment excepting pets in this hotel and because of dogs being accepted into the Hotel. Booked this place on Expedia. We chose it because our experience with other Microtels has always been awesome. This place proved to meet expectations of other Microtels that we stayed at. However, contrary to the other reviews that I have read on here regarding this location, there was no issue with shady people or filthy conditions. On the contrary the place was and is clean. Rooms were spacious and very well kept. Staff was attentive and friendly. This place is not in a bad part of town. It is off a major interstate so you are going to have all sorts of people staying there. This is not a resort hotel. This is a motel folks. If you want resort hotel quality then maybe you should not stay here. However if you are looking for a clean nice place to stay and want something to eat in the morning, this is the place for you. Criticisms: The wifi was substandard in this location. There are access points on all three levels. I had to connect to the one on the third floor even though I had a room on the second. Even in the lobby I had to connect to third floor as other access points would not connect. Even when I did get connected kept dropping connection. This needs to be addressed. I really only found one criticism. Hopefully this should prove helpful to someone who is looking up info on this location. Having said all that, if all you have is a single criticism which is unrelated to health and safety, the place is a great place to stay. read more

One of the worst hotels we have ever been to. DO NOT STAY HERE. Not only are the rooms dirty -found someone's else's hairs in our " so called clean towels".. Toilet dirty walls dirty & beds Dirty. We reserved online for a non smoking room - when we checked into our room it Smelt like a straight ash tray & the AC doesn't work. They have the worst customer service,and forget trying to talk to a manager. We got doubled charged on top of it all, and trying to get a hold of anyone is ridiculous. The people were actually pretty nice. It was the place itself that made me feel so uncomfortable. Our room was the worst-- we requested a non-smoking room yet right when we walked in, the place smelled like cigarettes (the whole 3rd floor actually), we even had to drive to the nearest store to buy febreeze & that didn't work, dirty/sticky carpet, blood stain on my pillow, mold in the bathroom, the chair by the window was dirty and ripped & air conditioning kept turning off. I stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Tracy, California, for a couple nights with my son as we were road-tripping it for summer break. Tracy doesn't have much going on, so I figured we could get a decent room at a good price, and the Microtel Inn fit that bill well enough. Expect no frills, though, because you ain't getting any. On the plus side, Microtel Inn & Suites has a separate wireless server for each floor. So the free wifi service is excellent. On the down side, check-in took a long time because there were three out-of-town construction workers in front of me, checking into three different rooms, and only one desk clerk. When we finally made our way up the world's slowest elevator to our room, it was just fine. The only thing I noticed, later in the evening, was a hair on the rim of the bathtub that I was pretty sure wasn't one of ours. As an experiment, I left it there, and sure enough it was still there after the room was cleaned the next morning. So, that was gross, and made me question the cleanliness of everything else. In the afternoon, the staff had the door to the laundry room open, and their chatter was pretty loud. Sounded like they were having a party. (They weren't.) The artificial grass outside had visible seams, like badly laid carpet, but with real weeds in case you wanted to do an on-site comparison of natural and man-made vegetation. And the TV in the lobby seemed to be tuned to cooking reality shows 24 hours a day, which is not something normal people watch. My point, I suppose, is that Microtel Inn is basically a roadside motel that aspires to be a limited service hotel. Hey, whatever. The rate wasn't excessively steep, and the place has good freeway access. If you're just looking for a bunk to lay your head for the night, there's no problem. Just don't expect attractive grounds or a pleasant experience in the lobby. read more

Hmm, this is a place to sleep, but I didn't see it as much more than that. The staff were okay, though I thought it was rude they were talking while I was just waiting at the front desk. I found hair on my pillow when I got to my room for the first time, which wasn't impressive. Okay location, close to a bunch of fast food places and other hotels. Worse hotel I ever stayed in. Rooms were not cleaned, roaches, and probably the staff sleeps in the rooms because hair was all in the bed. The shower soup was used.
