    Spectacular view!

This hotel!! Such a gem, is it perfect and new? No. But the staff is AMAZING, and the pool is heated and right on the ocean. Everything about this is awesome, we had no idea what to expect and drove up with an open mind and couldn't have been more excited when we finally saw the hotel. I'm so grateful this is the hotel we booked, nothing could be better! No comment on breakfast because we slept in too late to have it everyday!

Phenomenal sunrise toward the rentable pontoons on Santa Rosa Sound from the BW Navarre's lawn

Alright, I have hesitated to even post a review about this place, as I selfishly want to keep it to myself. HOWever, in the interest of transparency and community, I must reveal that the most bang for your buck in lodging near Navarre Beach is right here at the Best Western. Don't be hatin'! The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is that it is not an "upscale" lodging experience, okay, it's a family-friendly, budget-friendly, older hotel with a fantastic water view and easy proximity to Navarre Beach and plenty of other fun things to do, eat, and see. Whenever I'm in this area, I will always be making a reservation at BW Navarre Waterfront. Splurge on the water view room. It is so nice to wake up and watch the sunrise over Santa Rosa Sound (between the mainland and the Gulf Islands across the way). There is a golf-course-like lawn between the hotel and the water with Adirondack chairs for lounging, but many guests just put their folding beach chairs out there to preserve their claimed spot for the duration of their stay. There's also a sandy area around a fire pit where marshmallow roasting may break out each evening. The water is shallow for at least 50 yards from the shore, so kids can swim and people can wade-fish right there. From our 1st floor SE corner room, we could go right out the door onto the lawn, grab a chair, and watch the fish jump every morning. At night, you can see stars, the lights of the highrise hotels on Navarre beach, and any fireworks displays that happen to be popping off. There is a buffet breakfast daily with the typical budget hotel fare: cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit, coffee, and juice, plus a rotating hot breakfast such as biscuits & gravy with sausage or pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. We rarely ate the full meal (we preferred the Shark Bite breakfast burrito place next door and Deb's Coffee drive-thru up the road), but it was great to be able to fill our water bottles and grab some fruit or other handhelds to go before we headed out for a day at the beach. If you are dining on site, you can sit at the tables around the pool or the big open air pavilion between the pool and the restaurant next door; we often did this with take-out we brought back. On either side of the hotel, there are vendors for renting a watercraft for the day or by the hour. The guys on the east side have pontoons (call 850-888-0023 to reserve) while Navarre Family Watersports has jet skis, SUP, kayaks, and several types of motorboats and guided sightseeing tours, not to mention their floating waterpark and putt putt golf. If you are a runner or walker, this is a fine location from which you can do a daily morning bridge run over the 1-mile Navarre Causeway to the beach or fishing pier. Take the trail that hugs the sound behind the Best Western, Dewey Destin's, Navarre Family Watersports, and the souvenir shop to reach the bridge's pedestrian walkway without dealing with the road traffic on Navarre Pkwy. Other things to know before you make a reservation here: - Smokers are common here and so are their cigarette butts. I don't know why people do this, but the butts are littered in the lawn and on the sand where kids are playing. I picked up about 30 one morning because I just couldn't stand it anymore. Gross! Maybe the pandemic has overwhelmed the wonderful staff here, but I hope they will be able to add "butt pickup on the grounds" to the daily housekeeping or landscaping duties. - There are lots of families here during the summer and school holidays, so if you don't want to see or hear kids, try dates when school is in session. - The AC systems are very old school, the wall mounted type. It's noisy and has to work pretty hard to combat the FL humidity. Bring earplugs if this type of sound bothers you.

Can't go wrong here, especially for the price. The sunset view is amazing, and you can chill on a nice grassy area right on the water regardless if you have a waterfront room view or not. Free breakfast, and a pool and gym that has both cardio equipment and cables. Room walls are thin, so something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise, but I was there off season and everyone quieted down pretty early. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant surprise!

I booked our stay here based on the mostly positive yelp reviews!!! I'm so glad I did! Check in was a breeze, friendly staff, CLEAN room, comfortable beds, beautiful hotel setting with private beach, pool overlooking the bay, fire pit at night with lot of chairs for lounging and relaxing, very nice breakfast and FANTASTIC Community brand coffee available in the lobby 24/7. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!!!

Our view of the Navarre bay from our room was beautiful!! We stayed in other hotels for our four-day vacation but this one was our favorite. The room we got was very clean and nice, but the view and proximity to food and places to explore were great. Only complaint was that we couldn't enjoy breakfast due to a family of 25+ people crowding the downstairs and pool all night, but obviously BW couldn't control that factor.

Second visit here. Came in July 2016. Nice views. Pricey for a BW imo but it's bc near the water. Rooms are cute and clean and at least have a microwave, free wifi and breakfast! I am spoiled by bellhops but all is good. We like to come here when daughter does dance workshops in Navarre rather than stay at days in or Hampton in. Like the water view. And short drive over to Navarre beach. Playground cute. A grocery across st. Good Mexican eats near too. And sno cones. Tho I can't wait till the spring hill suites opens on beach.

Dirt, dead bugs, and something strange and gross on the comforter!

Don't do it!!!! The 1st thing to greet us when we were trying to check in were at least 3 cockroaches (one running towards the front door). It was around 11:30 pm (we had called ahead to get a late check-in and were told "no problem at all") and my husband was told, quite rudely, we couldn't check in because my mother booked the room for us (as she's done almost every time with no problems, because she is awesome!) The girl at the front desk wouldn't even let my husband tell her that we were paying for the room because his name wasn't on the card used to hold it. She called my mother at around 12am (way too late to call her btw) and left a message saying someone else was trying to check into her room. Finally, my husband interrupted her to say we were paying for the room and she had just reserved it for us because we were at Disney world. At that point my 3 year old was hysterical and my 10 year old was extremely tired and angry he couldn't get out of the car we had been in since noon! The front desk girl changed her tone just a little when she finally listened to my husband saying we were paying for everything. So, around 12:45/1am we got to go to our room. Once walking in I noticed that there was something disgusting on one of the comforter, dead bugs and dirt in the corner of the room and on the lights but we were so exhausted from the trip and ordeal that my husband just took it off and used our own blankets (thank goodness we had them). This was going to be the 1st time in a week we were going to be able to sleep in.......... but nooooooooo, we were all abruptly awoken by the lawnmowers at 6:30/7am..... All in all, we will never come back to this awful best western and would not even recommend it to our enemies!!!!!!

I got a deal to stay here through hotwire. This hotel is clean, well maintained and the staff is accomodating and kind. The views are beautiful. Sandra helped me get checked out quickly at 4:15 in the morning to head back to Texas where I live. She already had coffee made and did not charge me for a lost key card. All of the staff are very nice. The room was really nice. It had a fridge and microwave. The temperature could be set so that it was not too hot or too cold in the room. The pool is heated so you can swim anytime. They keep plenty of towels stocked in the room and there are pool towels kept by the pool. It is located right by the bridge to head over to the gulf. They serve free breakfast. Just a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Navarre.

I just finished a 3 night stay and was surprised at how difficult staying there is. Check-in took at least 30 minutes. There were no towels to use at the pool, and so we stood in line for another 20 minutes to request more bath towels for the room, because we had to use bath towels at the pool. The rooms are not cleaned until after 3 days of your stay, so you have to request fresh towels everyday, request body lotion, and when the conditioner runs out in the shower, you have to request that, as well. The whole property needs a good renovation. The carpets in the hallways are tired and worn. The barstools around the pool have rusted bases. The pool tiles have unsightly calcium buildup. My shower had dirt and grime in the corners. The pop-up stopper in the sink didn't work. The ice machine on our floor was malfunctioning. They offer a nice little free breakfast each morning, which includes hot and cold breakfast items, and coffee and tea. The Beach House Social restaurant is really yummy, but a tad on the pricey side. I was quite disappointed with the value of this hotel experience, as our room, including taxes and parking was about $600/night. Would not recommend.

Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

Throughout our…read moreuninterrupted week-long stay, I observed a diligent team of three to four individuals consistently tending to the grounds. Their prompt response to a sizable sinkhole near the entrance was commendable, as they promptly cordoned off the area and swiftly arranged for the replacement of underground pipes responsible for the leak and subsequent formation of the sinkhole. The meticulous upkeep of the grass, impeccable cleanliness of the pool area, and well-maintained outdoor restroom facilities further attest to their commitment to maintaining high standards. Additionally, the presence of amenities such as a basketball court and tennis courts adds to the appeal of this complex. While our stay was limited to one week, it is worth noting that residents of this condominium bear a substantial monthly Homeowners' Association (HOA) fee of $710, which amounts to an annual sum of $8,520. Admittedly, this may appear to be a considerable expense. However, it is essential to consider that the units within this complex, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, are valued at $750,000 each and are consistently rented out for weekly rates ranging from $4,000 to $5,000. Given the continuous occupancy and the need for ongoing maintenance, it becomes evident that the expenses incurred are necessary to ensure the property's seamless operation. During our stay, there was a temporary disruption as one of the three elevators experienced a malfunction. However, it is worth mentioning that the issue was promptly addressed and resolved by the end of the day, reflecting the management's commitment to maintaining a functional environment for residents and guests alike. It is important to differentiate between negative reviews pertaining to individual units and the vacation rental companies or individual owners responsible for leasing them, as these reviews do not accurately reflect the overall quality of the condominium complex itself. The management solely oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the shared facilities, including the pool, tennis court, outdoor areas, parking lot, gates, and other communal spaces, rather than the individual units. In conclusion, this condominium complex exemplifies efficient management and impeccable maintenance. The dedication of the staff to the upkeep of the property and the provision of desirable amenities contribute to its overall appeal. While some expenses may seem high, they are justified considering the value and demand for the units. It is important to recognize that negative reviews attributed to specific units are unrelated to the management's efforts in maintaining the complex's shared areas and are that of the individual owners (personal owner or some vacation rental company that owns the unit). If you're planning a trip to Navarre Beach, do yourself a favor and avoid all properties managed by Vacasa LLC. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we encountered nothing but problems. To start, the condo had a coded entry door followed by two keyed entries. Despite being provided with a code, we were never given a key. We initially entered the condo using the code, but when one of the keyed doors accidentally shut, we were locked out. What followed was a nightmare of incompetence. We called and messaged every contact number provided, only to be met with disbelief and rudeness. Several representatives outright denied the existence of a keyed door, and I was hung up on multiple times. Finally, after nearly two hours of waiting, I reached a representative named Cedric who, thankfully, took our situation seriously and promised to send someone with a key. During this time, my family and I were forced to wait outside in the humid Florida weather for almost two hours. This trip was meant to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday, but instead, we spent hours outside, watching her birthday cake melt into a sticky mess. When the manager, Leslie, finally arrived, she showed no urgency whatsoever. Accompanied by two friends, she casually walked up to the second floor, unlocked the door, and left without a single word of apology or acknowledgment. The lack of urgency and basic human decency was astounding. What if a child had been trapped inside, or worse, on the balcony? The property's indifferent response to this safety hazard is inexcusable. Our plans for a birthday dinner were completely ruined, with no accountability from the property. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of our troubles. Once inside, the property itself was riddled with issues. The refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed, forcing us to prop it shut constantly. All small kitchen appliances were dirty, or in poor shape. The furniture was stained and old. The kitchen table is leaning causing items to simply slide off on the floor. One of the bathtubs didn't drain properly, making it almost unusable as it took 20 minutes to drain after a shower. The cleanliness of the condo was subpar, dishes in the cabinets and drawers were dirty, there was a urine stain on one of the beds, and none of the bathrooms were clean. There was hair and grime in the showers requiring us to clean the entire space before we could relax. Moreover, the building's elevator had an inspection that was over a year out of date--a serious safety concern that I have documented and will be reporting to the fire department. During our stay, we also witnessed people engaging in explicit activities on a balcony, yet security seemed more concerned about policing my children getting out of the pool on time. Despite alerting security, nothing was done about the inappropriate behavior. To add insult to injury, after checking out on time and returning all wristbands as required, I was charged an additional $313. When I contacted the company to dispute this charge, they falsely claimed that we checked out an hour and a half late and left trash in the unit. This is an outright lie. I have Life360 screenshots proving when we left, and we were never informed that we needed to take out the trash, although all major trash was removed. I am now disputing these fraudulent charges with my bank and will be reporting this property to the appropriate authorities for the out-of-date elevator inspection. This entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of all properties owned by Vacasa LLC in Navarre Beach.
