Mostly pleasant stay. The breakfast is great with plenty of options, though only 4 tables to sit. The pool is right by the water with a great view. There are a lot of outlets in the rooms. Toilet was very low, but facilities all worked well. The comp soap, lotion and shampoo/conditioner smell amazing and made my hair feel so smooth! I wanted more of it. Parking is free. The only off-putting aspect was since the doors are external, the wind made the doors rattle all night long and our room was by the elevator which creates a tunnel effect for the wind. We also saw the hall light from outside, even with our shades closed. If back in the area we will try again and hope to get a better assigned room. read more

We have been staying at this hotel since the early 2000's. Not sure what has changed, ownership maybe? It's definitely not the same. The staff were pleasant and respectful. Upon check-in, the only luggage carts the hotel had were two small carts that looked like something you would find in the Lowes Garden Center. No place to hang anything. Multiple trips to move in. The room had a musty odor, it is by the water, so that was not an initial concern. The air conditioner in the room would not adjust. Regardless of the setting, it stayed the same. Then came the rain on Tuesday. We did the antique thing and upon returning to the room that afternoon, the humidity was bad. All our clothes were damp. A book my wife had brought had the pages and cover completely curled from the humidity, and vitamins in a plastic case were starting to melt. The refrigerator had so much condensation on the outside it was running onto the floor. Other issues included the lights over the sink looked like they were about to fall out of the ceiling and the grab bar in the tub was broken in half. On Tuesday night, the hotel appeared full (parking lot) and there wasn't enough band width to stay connected to the WIFI. Last, as we were leaving to go home (a day early), my wife opened the window covering and said you need to see this... The bottom of the curtains had black mold. read more

Everything about this is awesome, we had no idea what to expect and drove up with an open mind and couldn't have been more excited when we finally saw the hotel. Alright, I have hesitated to even post a review about this place, as I selfishly want to keep it to myself. HOWever, in the interest of transparency and community, I must reveal that the most bang for your buck in lodging near Navarre Beach is right here at the Best Western. Don't be hatin'! The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is that it is not an "upscale" lodging experience, okay, it's a family-friendly, budget-friendly, older hotel with a fantastic water view and easy proximity to Navarre Beach and plenty of other fun things to do, eat, and see. Whenever I'm in this area, I will always be making a reservation at BW Navarre Waterfront. Splurge on the water view room. It is so nice to wake up and watch the sunrise over Santa Rosa Sound (between the mainland and the Gulf Islands across the way). There is a golf-course-like lawn between the hotel and the water with Adirondack chairs for lounging, but many guests just put their folding beach chairs out there to preserve their claimed spot for the duration of their stay. There's also a sandy area around a fire pit where marshmallow roasting may break out each evening. The water is shallow for at least 50 yards from the shore, so kids can swim and people can wade-fish right there. From our 1st floor SE corner room, we could go right out the door onto the lawn, grab a chair, and watch the fish jump every morning. At night, you can see stars, the lights of the highrise hotels on Navarre beach, and any fireworks displays that happen to be popping off. There is a buffet breakfast daily with the typical budget hotel fare: cereal, yogurt, pastries, fruit, coffee, and juice, plus a rotating hot breakfast such as biscuits & gravy with sausage or pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. We rarely ate the full meal (we preferred the Shark Bite breakfast burrito place next door and Deb's Coffee drive-thru up the road), but it was great to be able to fill our water bottles and grab some fruit or other handhelds to go before we headed out for a day at the beach. If you are dining on site, you can sit at the tables around the pool or the big open air pavilion between the pool and the restaurant next door; we often did this with take-out we brought back. On either side of the hotel, there are vendors for renting a watercraft for the day or by the hour. The guys on the east side have pontoons (call 850-888-0023 to reserve) while Navarre Family Watersports has jet skis, SUP, kayaks, and several types of motorboats and guided sightseeing tours, not to mention their floating waterpark and putt putt golf. If you are a runner or walker, this is a fine location from which you can do a daily morning bridge run over the 1-mile Navarre Causeway to the beach or fishing pier. Take the trail that hugs the sound behind the Best Western, Dewey Destin's, Navarre Family Watersports, and the souvenir shop to reach the bridge's pedestrian walkway without dealing with the road traffic on Navarre Pkwy. Other things to know before you make a reservation here: - Smokers are common here and so are their cigarette butts. I don't know why people do this, but the butts are littered in the lawn and on the sand where kids are playing. I picked up about 30 one morning because I just couldn't stand it anymore. Gross! Maybe the pandemic has overwhelmed the wonderful staff here, but I hope they will be able to add "butt pickup on the grounds" to the daily housekeeping or landscaping duties. - There are lots of families here during the summer and school holidays, so if you don't want to see or hear kids, try dates when school is in session. - The AC systems are very old school, the wall mounted type. It's noisy and has to work pretty hard to combat the FL humidity. Bring earplugs if this type of sound bothers you. read more

This Best Western Navarre Waterfront is super convenient to Navarre Beach - just a short bridge drive over. You might hear a lot of traffic passing by since this hotel is located right off of a main parkway. Staff were friendly and accommodating after requesting a different room due to the lingering smell of smoke. Rooms were worn, but have been maintained fairly well. (Cleaning could be more thorough.) Our king bed was very comfortable! And there's a decent free breakfast spread with common items like scrambled eggs, ham or sausage, potatoes, french toast, yogurt, cereal bar, etc. read more

Can't go wrong here, especially for the price. The sunset view is amazing, and you can chill on a nice grassy area right on the water regardless if you have a waterfront room view or not. Free breakfast, and a pool and gym that has both cardio equipment and cables. Room walls are thin, so something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise, but I was there off season and everyone quieted down pretty early. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Our view of the Navarre bay from our room was beautiful!! We stayed in other hotels for our four-day vacation but this one was our favorite. The room we got was very clean and nice, but the view and proximity to food and places to explore were great. Only complaint was that we couldn't enjoy breakfast due to a family of 25+ people crowding the downstairs and pool all night, but obviously BW couldn't control that factor. read more

We arrived after a long drive. The night clerk was amazing and upgraded our room to a bay front view. Next morning, we dived into the buffet breakfast with many delicious choices. The french toast, on alternate days, was my favorite. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It comes with a microwave, handy fridge, blow dryer, iron with board, and plenty of towels and toiletries, not to mention free high speed internet. Coming from Las Vegas where the hotels here charge upwards of $40/day for "resort fees" on top of their daily room rate, it was amazing that this Best Western charges absolutely no resort fee. I am spoiled by bellhops but all is good. We like to come here when daughter does dance workshops in Navarre rather than stay at days in or Hampton in. Like the water view. This was a wonderful little hideaway. The rooms were nice, no bedspread just sheets, blanket, and a nice throw on beds. Nice breakfast with warm food and pastries. Staff was super friendly and helpful. You can tell there has been some remodeling which was good. Don't do it!!!! The 1st thing to greet us when we were trying to check in were at least 3 cockroaches (one running towards the front door). It was around 11:30 pm (we had called ahead to get a late check-in and were told "no problem at all") and my husband was told, quite rudely, we couldn't check in because my mother booked the room for us (as she's done almost every time with no problems, because she is awesome!) The girl at the front desk wouldn't even let my husband tell her that we were paying for the room because his name wasn't on the card used to hold it. She called my mother at around 12am (way too late to call her btw) and left a message saying someone else was trying to check into her room. Finally, my husband interrupted her to say we were paying for the room and she had just reserved it for us because we were at Disney world. At that point my 3 year old was hysterical and my 10 year old was extremely tired and angry he couldn't get out of the car we had been in since noon! The front desk girl changed her tone just a little when she finally listened to my husband saying we were paying for everything. So, around 12:45/1am we got to go to our room. Once walking in I noticed that there was something disgusting on one of the comforter, dead bugs and dirt in the corner of the room and on the lights but we were so exhausted from the trip and ordeal that my husband just took it off and used our own blankets (thank goodness we had them). This was going to be the 1st time in a week we were going to be able to sleep in.......... but nooooooooo, we were all abruptly awoken by the lawnmowers at 6:30/7am..... All in all, we will never come back to this awful best western and would not even recommend it to our enemies!!!!!! read more

All in all this is a good hotel to stay in especially if you want to be near the beach which is what I wanted. It was less expensive than the Hampton which was further away and I've stayed there before as well. This isn't a five star hotel but if your main reason is to sit on the beach and not in your room I think this is a great option. See my breakdown below. Room: Very clean and cleaned very well throughout our stay. The beds were very comfortable they were a little high but I like high beds. One of the most important things about being near the beach is a powerful shower. It was a great shower and the water stayed hot. We had a strong Wifi signal which is something that is lacking at the Hampton.The temperature was comfortable I don't think we adjusted it the hole time we were there and the unit wasn't noisy either. We had a good size refrigerator which we used for drinks and a microwave. Staff: The staff was very friendly, from the front desk, the lady preparing the breakfast and any employee you walked by asked how you were or if you needed anything. Grounds: The grounds were very well kept, some people put their towels on the banister to dry I guess they didn't want to utilize the hotel laundry. We were glad they a laundry had it and used it twice. This is an exterior corridor hotel and I expected to hear more outside noise but when we were in the room I really didn't hear anymore noise than you hear in hallways with interior corridors. They had an elevator and luggage carts so we weren't missing any conveniences. I was expecting to see lizards and geckos everywhere but I only saw a couple. It's Florida so what can you expect. Amenities: Laundry, we used it. Nice pool we faced it but didn't use it and although people were swimming in the evening we couldn't hear them unless we opened the door. There are towels provided for the pool and we did sneak some away to use at the beach(we returned them) We didn't use the work out facility. Breakfast was more than adequate there were eggs, sausage, pastries, bagels, toast instant and dry cereals, milk, juice and coffee. They didn't have a waffle maker and that was okay. The breakfast area itself has only a few tables but there were seats outside by the pool and the conference room had plenty of seating. Price: I think we got a fair price for mid-July high season. We were right on the bay and you could swim there or fish, we did see some occupants fishing right by the hotel. Location: We were a short drive to the beach just across bridge from cooling, clear waters. Everything is convenient right across the street from Winn-Dixie, Dollar Tree, McDonald's and KFC. I plan on making a return trip to Navarre and I will not hesitate to book this hotel. read more

I found this hotel on Expedia after our original hotel in Pensacola screwed us over. Being determined to get to the beach for the weekend come hell or high water, I booked it and we set off for Florida. In retrospect, it was a good thing our original plans had fallen through, because this place is really nice. It's on the Santa Rosa Sound right next to the causeway to Navarre Beach. While it is waterfront, you can't really go swimming on this side of the Sound. However, it's only a mile or so across the causeway to the public beach and state park. (Speaking of the beaches, they're awesome. White sand, blue water, and not very crowded at all.) There is a little beach where you can lay out in the sun, and there's a nice pool. There are also grills that you can reserve if you'd like to have a cookout. There's a Winn-Dixie right across the street, and it's close to several restaurants. The rooms are fairly spacious and have a microwave/fridge combo, as well as the usual coffeemaker. Overall, I was extremely pleased and will definitely stay here again. read more

I got a deal to stay here through hotwire. This hotel is clean, well maintained and the staff is accomodating and kind. The views are beautiful. Sandra helped me get checked out quickly at 4:15 in the morning to head back to Texas where I live. She already had coffee made and did not charge me for a lost key card. All of the staff are very nice. The room was really nice. It had a fridge and microwave. The temperature could be set so that it was not too hot or too cold in the room. The pool is heated so you can swim anytime. They keep plenty of towels stocked in the room and there are pool towels kept by the pool. It is located right by the bridge to head over to the gulf. They serve free breakfast. Just a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Navarre. read more

This hotel is a MOST racist place I have every stayed at. When I say that the Best Western should take there name back and just make this hotel a MOTEL, I mean it! First off, the room was DISGUSTINGLY dirty and bathroom was stained and dusty and I saw blood on the pillow. I spoke with MARY and she said that she would send up new linens and it never came. The floors were not vacuumed at all and the houskeepers look like they just make the bed and leave. Last night, we saw a roach and I saw a little bugs everywhere. So today November 23rd, we want to check out and stay somewhere else. During the morning of the 23rd around 7am. We kept hearing foot steps running up and down the balcony and then we here a BANG BANG, some caucasian boy and caucasian girl ran away from the door they did this 3 times before I got up and said something to the little boy and he waved to me. A couple of hours later we here another BANG BANG, and running away from the door so we said something out of our door and the mother of the kids were so NASTY, she already knew that the kids were doing this that's why she jumped down our throats about her kids. We definitely had a few words for her though. We was so scared or her I think she was doing drugs but hey, that's what the best western allows. Moral of this story, DO NOT STAY here. It's a jungle gym and a zoo. If you wanna see animals, there are kids and roaches there where they all over the place. You will not get any sleep and be woken up. I booked this reservation last minute on Booking.com because my last hotel cancelled my reservation due to overlooking the day before I was scheduled to arrive. We arrived for check in Sat5/26 at about 6:30pm. I was scheduled to check out on Sat6/2. The hotel property was gorgeous. The customer service was amazing. The room was above standards. The free breakfast was as expected. After eating the same thing every day, it did get boring though. The hotel is located right on the bay, and there are steps to go down to the bay waters. We did not pay extra for a better view, but our view was still amazing. The pool area is tucked into the architeture of the hotel, with a grill covered with cabana. They actually have a handicapped lift into the pool, which I have NEVER seen at any hotel. It's located right by the bridge to get to Navarre beach. It's a very good location. We were scheduled to check out on Saturday, June 2nd. We really were enjoying our stay, & wanted to stay another night. On Wednesday, May 30th at about 4:30pm I went down to the front desk to ask how much it would be. I was verbally told that it would be $161 plus tax. I told the front desk to give me a few minutes and I would let her know. I went a few hours later & told the same associate that I wanted to do it. She wrote down my room number and said she would take care of it. The next morning, I check my bank account and see my card was charged $257. I went down to the front desk where another associate told me it was because I extended my stay. I told her what I was quoted & she said she would look into it with the manager. Well, the manager checked the cameras between the hours of 2pm & 6pm & said that not a single person came to the front desk between those hours. I kept fighting this because that made me feel there is some kind of security issue in this hotel. I know that was not true, because while I was in there other people walked in & out asking for help as well. They told me they could not honor that rate that their employee quoted. I told them keep searching the cameras and I told them it was between 4 and 4:40. That night I went in at about 11pm and the same associate that quoted me was there, and she verified that I did in fact come in there, but said she never told me a number and she would have never quoted me that low. I told her to inform the manager that she did speak to me and to stress him to locate it on the camera. This morning, he finally found it on the camera w with her quoting me $161 plus tax, but he still will not honor that rate. He has audio and video of the entire conversation, but he will still not honor the quote. So im not staying the extra night. I check out tomorrow. Needless to say, the last 3 days of my vacation have been nothing but fighting with this damn hotel and my vacation has ended with nothing but stress because of this nonsense. Something is fishy with this place, and it ain't just the bay behind it. UPDATE: 6/2/18 @4:00pm I made it home. My $257 has not been refunded. & they charged my card $4887 when my total for my stay was $1079. I called to get it fixed and they said I had to call back in the morning because no one there could fix it right now. They can see the charge for the $4887, but can't tell my why they charged me that. After all of this, not once has there been any offer for any kind of compensation for all the trouble and stress they have caused me. My vacation has been completely ruined and $5000 of my bank account on hold. I have not even received one apology from any employee from this establishment regarding any of the issues stated above. Not a single one. Complete lack of customer service regarding major issues. UPDATE 6/4/18 @5:15 The $257 has magically vanished off my account. No charge or refund in sight. Just gone. I know that happens with pending charges, but this was a posted charge. & I was told the posted a refund. So both transactions should be visible. I called the hotel again and they said call my bank because the refunded it. I called my bank ans they cant fix it because it is still pending. I called corporate customer service. I told them the whole story & they said they do not deal with billing, but they see the charges were because they changed my stay to 29 nights. They contacted the hotel & the manager called me back & showed concern. He offered to call my bank & apologized. The bank called me as well to get authorization to speak to him. We both stayed on the phone for the whole conversation, & they told him the same thing they told me. After all of this, I'm still expected to pay the full amount of my stay. UPDATE: 6/6/18 @3:15 The charges have vanished from account. I requested 50% refund. I was told no but offered one free night. I declined, & was offered refund on one night as a final offer. So I took that & called corporate again. They can't help me overrule his decision & there's nothing they can do. read more

We enjoyed out stay here and will come back. Our rooms were clean and we had friendly service. Love the beach feel and it's close to plenty of restaurants. We had the best time and pizza at County Line Pizza in Okaloosa. There was a wedding reception held at the pavilion at the hotel while we were there. Their breakfast was decent. I stayed here with some friends over spring break. This hotel is really close to the overpass that heads towards pensacola beach, which is about a 15 minute scenic drive. Destin is about 15-20 minutes away to the west. It was nice being in between the two and having the option to go to either beach. There are plenty of good restaurants in town. They serve a small continental breakfast, but Waffle House is right across the street if you need something more filling. The rooms were clean when we got there, the staff was helpful, and there weren't any obnoxious college students around. I enjoyed sitting on the picnic tables around the hotel, overlooking the harbor, smoking a fine cigar before turning in every night. I am surprised that many reviews on yelp and similar sites are pretty good for this property. We got a waterfront room but people are always walking in front as you just have a front window to see out of rather than a private balcony, even on the higher floors. I feel it would be awkward to leave the curtain open so I paid for a water view for nothing. I heard lots of loud knocking on doors late at night and I'd just rather stay somewhere more quiet and calm. I think this place might be okay if you're trying to spend the least amount of money possible on a vacation or something but I personally wish I had stayed elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this Best Western is....the location is perfect, only a mile or so to Navarre Bch and about 15 scenic miles to Pensacola Bch. The rooms were clean, updated decor and flat screen tv's. They also have a small frig and microwave. The pool was clean and refreshing. Right next door is a small amusement park place called Pirate Paradise that had a waterslide, beach games, boat rentals etc. I enjoyed my evening there playing the bean bag game!! The hotel offers a winding stone walkway with chairs that sit out on the bay/sound. It had a lot of ambience. The breakfast is what you would expect from a continental breakfast. Dont know what other reviewers expect from a free breakfast! I enjoyed it! The staff was helpful and friendly. The grounds clean. The rooms comfortable. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants.
