I booked this hotel through Airbnb. I paid Airbnb $335. I saw in the contract Best Western would need a card on file for a refundable deposit and cleaning fee. When I checked out, they said good bye and were kind. I left them a great review on Airbnb, they replied and said I was a great guest and left the room clean. Since then, Best Western has charged my card an additional $503!!! I called and spoke to Misha, she just said that's their rates were blah blah, but they did over charge me $67 and would refund that? Misa told me because I booked through a 3rd party, Airbnb, that I needed to take my dispute up with them. Airbnb says they can't help me because Best Western charged me outside of Airbnb. I'm disputing it with my credit card company currently. I have my receipt from Airbnb, showing I paid in full. There were no other mentions of resort fees or any other additional fees. One of the worst hotel experiences at Best Western chain! Starting from breakfast, untidy rooms, poor customer service, room phone not working, etc. in spite of paying premium price, entire experience was below par and equivalent to a motel experience. Unsure why I should have paid this high!!! Stayed for two nights, hotel was sold out. Which management would have known about well in advance and still they ran out of majority and very basic breakfast items (fruits, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, pan cakes / waffles, tea bags, cupcakes / muffins, hot oats and so on). Butter was frozen like rock. Servers attitude was sorry they out of most of the items , sorry we got too many people and this is at 7:05 am !!!! When breakfast just opened at 6:30am. Room was not cleaned! Dust, hair, mud particles in the room, blankets were shabby and quite small the size! Pillows were all ready to be trashed as no life left in them. Rooms phone was not working so every time if we have any questions or need , we need to walk to reception. Who unfortunately was always 1 person and had to many things to handle :( Hardly any room service mentality, which could be checked if we are short on towels, any toiletries! Twice room service entered room when clearly we asked no room service. List can go on and on! Checked in Yesterday and they told us we can use the pool from 10-10. Noticed the pool looked weird but we had plans yesterday but planned to go today. We call to ask for pool towels and then they tell us "the pool is unsafe because of too much chemicals" ok so what would happen if we used it yesterday? We planned a trip and have two kids now we don't have a pool as we promised the kids. There should be a refund because the lack of use of an amenity that is listed on site. And it does not seem like anyone is coming to fix it. Another note there is no waterproof shower curtain so after showering there will be water all over the floor when you are done. read more

Not impressed. They really do have potential to be a solid hotel. They're in a great location, close by to some great restaurants and tourist hot spots, but there are definitely better hotel options on the same street. When I arrived, it was late and I was exhausted from a long day of traveling and hiking. I was excited to take a nice shower and sleep in a clean, comfy hotel bed. Instead, I arrived in a room that was not up to par in cleanliness. Every single towel had stains all over them and they were tiny and felt like sand paper. I was grossed out by the stains, so I went to the front to show her the towels and ask for new ones. She then told me all of their towels are stained, "but they're clean". She told me their dryers stain all of the bedding and towels and everyone complains about them. So why aren't we fixing this issue? What really grossed me out was the shower. The shower curtain had a very obvious blood stain on it and there were blood stains splattered on the shower wall. I still showered and used the stained sand paper towel to dry off because I was exhausted and needed to get to sleep. I got in the bed and the sheets were also stained. Smelled clean, but I was still grossed out. It's already hard not sleeping in your own bed, so a nice comfy clean hotel bed is really important. Bed is meh, pillows were comfy! The next morning, my boyfriend expressed our issues to the front desk and the morning employee was very nice and had a cleaning crew member come change our shower curtain and they even swept and mopped our room. The hot tub/ pool area is really nice, so that was a perk. Breakfast was your basic hotel breakfast, nothing special at all. I'm still trying to figure out why so many people in the reviews commented on the good breakfast lol. The stains and reviews just really made me question how clean the hotel really was. We called the front desk for assistance and no one answered. Our four little kids were exhausted and ready to go to bed but couldn't because the room was so uncomfortable. My husband went down to the front office since no one would answer. No one was there. We waited for 40 minutes! Both of us were calling every number we could find to get ahold of someone. Our kids were crying and miserable! It was impossible to find any staff to help solve the problem. We became extremely irritated when my husband looked at the counter behind the front office desk and noticed a hand written note indicating that our room was known to have a broken AC! And they still sold us the room! And then staff disappeared leaving us no where to go! Finally after an hour we were assigned to a new room and told that they would get ahold of their boss to arrange for some sort of refund. Man, this place in my opinion is a no go. We meant to book at the Best Western across the way... BUT my husband accidentally booked here. So time comes to check in, we realize it's the wrong hotel. Oh well. We were already there what could be done. At the time, the ladies at the front desk were very rude, very short in their answers and seemed to always respond with an attitude. There was a family that was checking out, you could tell they weren't from around and holy cow... These women were just mean. Then it was our turn. They were very short in terms of communication. Not great customer service. Not even a damn smile. But Anyways... We got our keys and headed up to our room, and it looked alright...Until I walked into the bathroom. We found a used bar soap in the shower...Toilet paper roll was used more than half way and not replaced... the towels were hard ass hell. Beds and all seemed clean but when I moved the couch closer to the bed so my daughter wouldn't roll off , I could visibly tell that the floors where not cleaned. We found trash along with a battery for a power tool. So if anything I think that the sheets were probably changed, and that was probably all they did...because we came in to a noticeable dirty room. Them my kids accidentally left a pool toy behind in the pool, they wouldn't let us back in because it was past pool hours, but they let us know they would retrieve it once the pool area was cleaned and would have it up at front desk come morning. Well they never retrieved it, and another family got to the toy. So that was a bummer. The food was good though! that's the reason they are getting 2 stars and not 1. We stayed at this place for 2 nights. Had some major issues : The rooms are too small for 2 queen beds and the doors for drawers and small closet are awkwardly opening out making them difficult to use. They should have been sliding doors or no doors at all for drawers. The microwave in room was not plugged in and we discovered that it could not be plugged in at all as the cable was too short to reach any outlet !!! The breakfast on 1st morning initially had all expected stuff but in very limited quantities for the crowd, and the waffle batter ran out quickly so people arriving little later, still within 45 mins of breakfast time, could not get any waffles. The 2nd morning, they eliminated waffles and bagels altogether and also they had barely any vegetarian options as omelets had pork in them. They only had a fast depleting stack of bread or oatmeal packets or cereal to choose from. After paying premium price, this was a pathetic state of service. On top of that, the staff attitude was worse - they simply said 'well, we have to work with our stock for another 4 days!" - That is clearly the management's problem to solve. They were not charging any less for the stay but were expecting guests to make do with missing most breakfast items. I see the breakfast issues mentioned in other reviews here as well, so looks like that's a recurring issue at this Best Western location. This Best Western location has a lot of potential. However, some of their staff are extremely lazy and rude. A dark-haired Hispanic looking lady that works at the front desk during the day(possibly an assistant manager) has the personality of one of the rocks in the region. Not friendly, not hospitable, and acts like she's doing you a favor to be in her presence. Has a total attitude problem! Their cleaning staff also have major issues. Constant problems with getting the room serviced on more than one stay. It's a crapshoot whether you'll come back to your room, and find your beds made, towels replenished, and toiletries refilled. The floors are also filthy! They don't clean them, and your feet will be black on the bottoms. It's the worst service I have ever experienced in a hotel stay. We recently stayed here for two nights in Room 345. The room itself just felt very tired. Walls needed to be patched, the right drape was missing the plastic piece to open and close, and the shear curtains were both torn. Both mornings a lot of breakfast items were missing ("If the truck doesn't show up I don't have anything. I don't go shopping myself"). I would definitely go to breakfast earlier than later to give yourself the best chance possible for getting what you want. Only one (very slow!) elevator! Do not book this hotel. I booked two rooms here and then had a change in our itinerary by one day. I tried to change the reservation but there no rooms available so I had to cancel. We stayed at the BW due to booking a hotel later rather than sooner....the rate was just under $200 with taxes etc. The rooms have a linoleum type floor which is probly typical for high temp areas like Page where it was 106 degrees. Personally I like clean carpet. Bed was fine and it came with these funny little square pillows. They actually were ok to sleep on. Normal amenities like fridge, no freezer though. Keurig coffee maker which seems to be the way hotels are going....I like that. A/c worked fine. We were put on the bottom floor, I never stay on the bottom floor....I'm from earthquake country. I had requested second floor or higher on my reservation. Shower and bathroom was ok, nothing great. Door security lock did not work (dead bolt). Reported that at check out. They have a pool and a jacuzzi. It's a nice enough area. The wife did the the jacuzzi and I hung out on a lounge. The security door to the parking lot was broken and would not shut. Looks like it had been broken for a while. Reported it immediately to Trevor at the front desk. Didn't seem to be a big deal to him. Felt like he was blowing it off with oh really ok I'll report it.... Breakfast.....interesting they have someone as a gatekeeper that checks your name before you can eat. Plenty to eat with pancakes, scramble eggs, sausage and lots of breads, muffins and cereal. This BW reminds me of a crash hotel or a place for families with kids. The reason I'm giving this hotel more than 1 star is because the gentleman in charge of the bagged breakfast was very kind and pleasant. Overall: We checked in at 10pm after a long drive. Our first room had a broken fridge. The second room we got seemed ok and after I sanitized all the surfaces and we brought in our stuff, we looked down at the ground below the beds... There was literally two used q-tips, toothpicks, and a half eaten granola bar right below the bed. Disgusting. We were too tired to try and get another room and move all of our stuff. Unbelievable! We had a reservation through Hotels.com for a King Bed with a Sofa Bed for a total of $256.81. They said there was no reservation, but they could give us the "walk-in" rate for 2 Queen Beds - which turned out to be $295.68. Interesting when they were putting in the reservation, they had my phone number already!!! Hmmm??? How could that be if they did not have a reservation? When we got to the room there was a garbage can under the sink being used to collect water. We heard them talk about a "plumbing problem" in the King Room when we entered the lobby, and a plumbing truck was in the parking lot. Sadly, when we used the hand towel at the sink it was like sandpaper! So were the washcloths! This is the first hotel that I have ever stayed at that I had to go to the store to purchase my own hand towel and washcloths. read more

Unless you would like to finance the hotel's broken televisions, I would NOT recommend staying here. We were given a room with a broken television, and we contacted the front desk immediately to ask for someone to service the broken TV. The front desk said they would send someone up to fix it, which they never did. After requesting the TV be fixed twice, they asked if we would like to be moved to another room. After moving to another room, we received a call the next day accusing my wife and me of breaking the TV (which we did not), and $600 was removed from our account for a TV that may cost $200, at most. I read the reviews and I can confirm that most were right. I'm surprised that some of the things people mentioned below didn't get fixed. Our expections weren't high so the things below weren't a big surprise to us Here's our experience: Location: The hotel is in a really good location. Close to horseshoe and tours for antelope canyon. There is a sonic, mcdonalds, Taco Bell, gas station, etc within 5 min Service: front desk was okay. They were neither enthusiastic to help or rude. Fast check in though. When leaving, we told the front desk about the said issue below and judging by her reaction, she was neither concerned or surprised about it. Just said "I'll let maintenance know". Maintenance is about to get a huge surprise smh Room: prior to our arrival, I've read some reviews about toilet clogging and thought that the percentage was minimal for us to get a room with a clogging toilet. Lucky us, we got the room with not only a weak toilet but also a tub that floods and slow to drain which is disgusting. I didn't mind the toilet at first until it clogged up the morning before we left. You know, emptying before a long drive back home? The floors were wood, the sink was quartz and updated. Bed was "okay". Pillows were old and clumpy. The room looked like it was upgraded but I guess they didn't put the bathroom upgrades in the budget. Noise: thin walls and since the rooms had hardwood floors, you can hear the person on top of you doing a tap dance with their feet. So loud! People have some heavy feet smh Breakfast: there's a person who checks their books if you're actually staying in the hotel and how many are staying in the room. That was new for us but whatever. They served eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins, hard boiled eggs, juice, cereal, yogurt. Overall a good breakfast. Make sure you go early like we did. We stay at BW most of the time we travel and this location falls well below what I have come to expect, especially since our room rate was over $200. This BW has a "PLUS' rating how I don't Know. 1) BREAKFAST not free as stated, they have security stop you before get food, and then they watch you very closely for what you take. I did not feel welcome at all. It felt like I was in one of those cheesy motels that only give you a donut and coffee and call it a continental breakfast. 2) ROOM not as clean as I would expect floor is in disrepair and dirty (see pic of socks) I saw no commercial mops on cleaning carts We left about 11am on Sunday, and most of the rooms doors were open for cleaning every single room the floors were in disrepair and unsafe. No microwaves available, front desk says none available for public use after breakfast hours. 3) POOL water was cloudy (saw the following morning from our room) and the jacuzzi had a smell of sulfur/feces so we got out in less then 1 minute, went back to room and scrub our bodies (this was at approx. 9 pm). no towels at pool front desk told me had none. I woke in morning itching on my feet and legs. This pool/Jacuzzi is a health hazard and will be reporting to local health dept. This Pool need to be monitored better. Thinking about it now there were a lot of people in the pool late in the afternoon to evening and I bet there filtering system is inadequate to keep up with the number of people. 4) Other the luggage cart we used is falling apart, and has had repairs done by someone that does not have a clue. Ask front desk twice for manager and was told they were unavailable. it is very apparent that they are lacking in this area. I only spent a day a this location and I identified many safety issues that could be fixed easily. Sure hope management/ownership takes action before someone gets seriously hurt. I am writing this review as I sit in the BW plus inn of Williams I truly believe if any in management/ownership reads these reviews that you need to come to this location and look at the quality of there rooms and the you will realize that your contractor ripped you off even if you took the lowest bid. Very poor workmanship in your rooms. You should also teach your staff that I, as a guest, should not have to move out of there way. The room is pretty large and comfortable with nice comfy beds and clean crisp sheets. Mini fridge is present and ice machines are churning out ice nicely. The complimentary breakfast is especially nice as it is like a "sit-in" restaurant complete with a hostess to check your name against their manifest and get you seated at your own large booth/table. There are made-to-order pancakes, customizable oatmeal prepared by their staff. The standard cereal, yogurt and granola are present as well as hot breakfasts such as potatoes, sausages and hard boiled eggs. Last minute Labor Day weekend hotel needed because of a cancelled flight. The manager Nicholas Johnson was able to help 12 of us get into rooms and went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable. The building is extremely clean and the rooms were cozy. In the morning we had to leave extremely early and they accommodated by packing Togo boxes with fruits and foods. Very pleased with the hotel and the staff. The pool was very clean as well. And had lots of lounge chairs and couches and areas for everyone to enjoy. If I could leave more stars I would. Being stuck somewhere on accident turned into a great experience. I really don't know what's going on here. * For breakfast, it seems that they're a bit understaffed due to the amount of tourists? I wanted to ask the guy who handled the seatings for breakfast whether the remaining members of our party could just come and grab the food to go, but he just gave me the look and didn't reply at all when I said "excuse me". I could see that he's busy, but maybe because he was already irritated due to the Asian tourists who disregard personal spaces as well as the rules. They barely spoke English. I just assumed that because I'm Asian, he probably just assumed that I was part of the tour etc since I was just standing near his spot to accept new guests (I was already done with my breakfast). Ended up asking some other staff. I would be irritated as well if I were him because those tourists literally didn't have any consideration for others. One of them was standing and speaking to some other people along with hand gestures above my head! Like, dude, I'm sitting here, eating, and you wave your hands all around above my head, standing really close to me to talk to some other people 10 feet away. Apparently recently remodeled but poorly done. We paid premium prices for the Best Western @ $242 per night plus taxes. There is one working elevator for the entire hotel. At busy times just not enough. Note the floor of it in the photos. It was dirty at checkin the night before and at checkout still dirty and had not been mopped. The bathroom had stains in the ceiling where a poor patch job had been done- not well. The towel hanger in the bathroom was not installed level-see pictures. The molding along the bathroom floor was cut backwards and installed- then no caulking put in to fill the gap. The hotel should inspect room 249 and demand that it be done right by the contractor if they want to charge us premium pricing. read more

I guess the plus -- in this best western plus is that you get terrible service plus terrible amenities. After a long drive from Colorado my boyfriend and I arrived tired and ready to shower and relax at about 3:30pm. We were first ignored by an unenthusiastic receptionist that didn't quite want to break the news that they couldn't check us in. At this point we were given two options sit and wait in the cafeteria area or come back and hope their systems are up (they were updating right around check in --odd). Considering we are in the middle of nowhere after driving long hours, an idea of where to go would have gone a long way in customer service. Hints of good places to eat or some decent places to just hang out would have made a world of difference in this interaction. Instead we were stared out of the building and made to feel as if we were a huge inconvenience to them. Due to the popularity of this destination we were unable to find other hotel accommodations. Upon returning we received a greeting akin to walking into a dmv. My boyfriend and I tried to address the earlier issue upon checking in and were consistently and rudely interrupted so that the woman working could go through her system of questions. I will skip over how rude she was to us in detail and jump to the room. Finally, we had a room and were ready to shower and sleep. The first thing I noticed in the king suite was a fold out couch. Not a big deal except that the fold out doesn't fold up well enough for the couch to be used (pics. below). The next thing I noticed were some lumpy pillows! Super lumpy, I can't even properly describe the poor condition of these pillows. Then, the bed. The bed was so worn down it looked like they pulled a one ton anvil off the center of it during the "unexpected systems update" we encountered earlier (after *sort of sleeping on this worn down mattress we confronted the front desk of the issue and were met with the objection that all the mattresses were new***). Needing a break from our awe inspiring room we decided to test out the hot tub. To our non-surprise and additional disappointment the hot tub was cold. It was also confirmed by other guests that seen us by the hot tub that it wasn't just us having issues. Multiple people walking by asked if it was warm yet, or stated that they tried it earlier and it was ice cold. At the end of our stay we were offered 500 best western points. We declined, I don't believe the experience we encountered was worth the $170 we payed for a king suite and don't anticipate going to a best western again. * tossing and turning on a king sized bed. Constantly rolling into the middle anvil creased area. *** The woman working the front desk Charley, if my memory serves, should not be in the customer service industry if she isn't capable of hearing people out. I understand that a lot of the things we encountered were out of her control but eye rolling at customers and not listening to the issues that they may have had does not improve the business you work for. Horrible stay. Pool is empty. Hot tub is down. Phones don't work. Half of the doors aren't working in the hotel. Try to tell front desk issues and they will look into things when they can. It's a joke. Do not recommend. Keep looking read more

I'll do my best not to exaggerate our first few hours interacting with the staff at this Best Western location. It went down just like this and I will never forget it. Antelope Canyon was a spot my in-laws from Japan wanted to see while visiting the US. They are very nice people but sharing 2 queen sized beds in one room was something I wanted to avoid. I chose this BW after speaking with a guest services person over the phone who told me they had rooms with 2 beds in separate rooms. Sold for $171 on a Saturday night. We rolled into Page around 1pm and gave them a call en route to see about checking in early. Front Desk Person (FD): "Good afternoon. Best Western. How can I help?" Me: "Hello. My name is Philip T and we're due to check in today. I was wondering if it would be possible to check in a bit early since we're only a few minutes away." FD: "Hold on. Hold on. You're who? Check in isn't until 3:30pm. It's 1:10pm" (HOW ABOUT "Just a moment and let me check on that. Could I have your name once again?") Me: "Last name is ___. I know it's early but anything you could do would be appreciated." FD: "They're still cleaning all the rooms. I can't do anything for you. Again..it's 1:10pm and check-in is at 3:30pm." I heard "You're shit out of luck for trying to check in early. Did I mention it was 1:10pm, bitch?" A great start indeed!! We did some sightseeing, got there at 7pm and walked into a lobby with a line of 7 people deep and one front desk person. She was a high school aged kid that looked tired, stressed, overworked and the only person there. After about 25 minutes, I was up front and she said she's been there since 5am and 4 people called out "sick" due to the senior prom (Page starts school in late July and ends now). Nice enough girl and all but I can't imagine most customers would truly even care if the staff is having a good day or bad one. Just as I received my keys, the manager rolled in and looked to be having a very long day herself. The room we got was not what I reserved so I went back and spoke with the manager. The front desk area was not big. Maybe 3 attendants could work there at the same time. The manager's desk was clear for anyone to see in a small room to the left. I explained to her what I reserved and what I got. She said there was nothing left and the best she could do was bring us a cot free of charge. I told her that wouldn't really work and would be fine with either switching rooms or paying extra for two standard rooms. She went back to her desk and typed away. 5 minutes passed and she said from her desk "I can offer you a cot free of charge. I don't have any other rooms." I'm thinking "That's weird. She just offered this to me and I declined." So I just said no again. She stayed back there for another 10 minutes on her computer. In that time, she had not talked to anyone on the phone or dealt with any guest. She gets up from the desk, walks towards me and says "Hi! How can I help you?" What the fuckinshitballsfuck?!!? I tried not to go off and in my best calm and direct way I said "I've been talking to you for the last 15 minutes. Don't you remember any of it?" She then said she had been working for 12 hours, apologized, and then asks for my name, room and reservation number again!! I had to explain my whole situation AGAIN. I asked the front desk person, who could clearly hear and see what had been happening, if I was in the Twilight Zone. She just reiterated what the manager said in a friendly manner. "She has been working for 12 hours straight and she's very tired". My very next thought was the she was probably too young to know what the Twilight Zone was and thinks I am making a Kristen Stewart reference. The manager THEN offers me the cot AGAIN!! After a couple more minutes of being in a crazy mental vortex where time and space didn't meld, we agreed that she would refund me $90. Fearing that she would forget everything we talked about in 3 seconds, I had her do everything right then and there. So aside from all that, rooms were OK. Beds were comfy. Pool wasn't open. Free wifi was nice and the free breakfast was more than I expected with pancakes, sausage, hash browns and scrambled eggs. read more
