PROS: The room is comfortable and clean. The beds and pillows are super comfortable; we all slept well each night! The room comes with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom is modern and the hotel has a updated feel. We enjoyed the nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, and the fitness center is decent. There are amazing views from the hallway windows. CONS: Just like other reviews stated, majority of their staff is not friendly at all, and it's obvious they dislike their job. We arrived a few hours earlier than the 3pm check in time, and asked if we could pay extra to check in early. The rude lady at the front didn't even greet us, and flat out said no. I also asked a staff member for a towel; she gave me an annoyed look. Unfortunately their breakfast is nothing I would eat. It is the typical 'instant" eggs, bacon, toast, and high sugar cereals. Probably due to cost, they do not offer fresh fruits, just high-sugar canned fruit cocktail. Definitely a low-quality meal. There is a Dennys right next door. This was just our experience. Everyone who worked there was nice. The room was clean. There was a mini fridge and mini microwave. Indoor pool and hot tub which didn't look appealing to me. There was a breakfast. Nothing fancy but it does the trick. Our sink in the bathroom was foul. It smelled horrific. Almost toxic. Our bathroom door didn't close. We were only there for 2 nights so whatever but that didn't make the stay for us very pleasant. Idk how anyone could go in there and not smell that sink. read more

This place sounded good online, but man did I get an abrupt and quite a rude check in. Once you reserve online, you get a text to check in early so you can just pick up your key. When I arrived about 7:00 PM after a day of driving, the man at the desk acted like I was asking for gold when I asked for my key. He very rudely asked me for my ID and said: I can't give you a key if I can't see your ID. that makes sense, but can't you just politely request to see my ID? Just not friendly at all. The room is spacious and comfortable enough but very stuffy and stale. Well, the price is right. There's a tiny little gym that I used a pre-core elliptical. It was doable. And they have a cable machine, but no free weights. And like most hotels the handles on the cable machine all pretty much gone. Furthermore, there's a nice little indoor pool. They serve breakfast 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The coffee is weak and there's yogurt and white flour amendments that I didn't partake of. (I actually went out and got a coffee that had some flavor!) The bed was pretty comfortable. The shower was tepid (my mother's favorite word) or should I just say plain old lukewarm. This is a fairly new hotel in Page... maybe 2 years old? Room was very clean & modern. I loved the shower in the bathroom. The only issue I had was figuring out how to turn the thermostat on to "heat." The A/C cycled on for me, but on a cool November night, I wasn't looking for A/C. Addendum : fridge was not working. Shower dripped all night. Took the covers off 2nd bed, so I could be warm. Unfortunately, I had noisy neighbors above my room who were a little heavy footed to my liking. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Where to start??...There is one working ice machine, and it is out of ice. Washer and dryer broken. Every single light covering in the entire hotel is broken. Every last one has a shade that is broken. TV remote needed batteries and the chek in person had to look everywhere for batteries. He said they have no extra hair dryers or remotes and guests are needing them. Our room was clean, although the shower door leaked, making the tiles in the bathroom floor loose -- a loud pop every time you step on them. We had no shampoo in our room. There was no drain in the sink. No Waffles at breakfast ( out of batter!) and the eggs and sausage inedible. They were out of coffee. They won't be nice trash cans in the breakfast area, right at the end of each food lines, and they were overflowing and filthy. People had left their breakfast dishes all over the breakfast area and there was no person to pick them up, so there was no clean table to sit at even though not many people were there. The carpet in the elevator are filthy . This place has zero maintenance -- I would avoid it all costs. Wyndham corporate should do an inspection on this franchise as it is an embarrassment to their brand. read more

One of the more friendlier, more approachable hotel staff that I've encountered. We had two adjoining rooms, two beds each. A sliding barnyard-like door was cleverly used for the bathroom and closet, depending on which you wanted to use. The gym was nice, the pool and hottub were cold, and yeah, so we didn't try them. The hot tub had a LOT of foam which means several things such as dirty filters, too much chlorine (which is the case here - eyes burning, skin hurts and smells horribly of chlorine) among other causes of neglect with proper maintenance. We couldn't stand to be in the hot tub for more than a few minutes. Went over to the pool and it was freezing. The other guests complained about it too. Got back to our room and went to wash the chlorine off and the shower wouldn't turn on. Would not recommend this hotel. read more

Do not stay here !!! We expected better from this hotel. Bathroom furniture was worn and shower valve was broken. My kid had to shower with cold water. The front desk (James) and his supervisor were rude and had no tact when dealing with customers. One of the reasons why we decided to stay here was because of the customer service, friendly staff, nice rooms and delicious continental breakfast. Well, we were deeply disappointed. There was no breakfast ! Three families up on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and no breakfast ! When we asked the front desk they simply responded "the chef is not here yet" really ? a chef for scrambled eggs and sausage? We asked if they could at least bring out some bread to toast and yogurt but there default answer was the "the chef isn't here yet" does the staff even know what a continental breakfast is? Antelope Canyon go'ers : I didn't know where to book since Page is kind of in the middle of no where. Wingate was affordable and looked new. We got a room with 2 queen beds. Check in was quick and smooth. Complimentary breakfast is 6:30am-9:30am. Everything is clean and modern. Gym is very small & limited, so might want to to get your workout in while touring. Keep in mind that there is not much to do here so you might want to do things before you get to Page. Restaurants include Denny's, Subway, McDonalds and a few other random spots, nothing special. There is also a Walmart about 5 minutes away. Everyone who stays here primarily came just for the Antelope Canyon tours. read more

The Wingate is a pretty standard hotel but perhaps falls a bit short of the usual Wyndham standard. On the plus side, there is ample secure parking, the check-in/check-out process was easy, and the housekeeping team did a great job, providing ample towels and servicing. Items that could be improved tend to do with staffing and attention to detail, from two burned-out bulbs in our bath mirror to stains on the ceiling and pawprints on the window. Also, the person running the breakfast service seemed overwhelmed, with items continually running on short supply and seating a bit overrun (and a sign noting not to take food/drink to the rooms thus preventing the ability to sit elsewhere). While pandemic protocol has many venues understaffed, the ability to accommodate large groups of tourists at once, such as during the breakfast hour, is essential. read more

We got a king suite with a balcony view overlooking the mountains for $73! We were super happy with the price but happier with the room. The room itself was clean and very large. The balcony had comfy chairs to sit on, just wish they had shade options as it can get super hot outside. The bed and pillows were comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great. The entire hotel was very clean and had plenty of parking. The pool is indoor so it is not heated but the jacuzzi was nice (towels provided). All of the staff here are super friendly and helpful. 4 stars for the meh breakfast and the not-so-clean coffee maker in our room which had dirt and a piece of hair in it, just avoid using and get coffee downstairs in the lobby. When I checked into my reservation late in the evening, the receptionist was not wearing a mask. The next morning, the same receptionist was performing tasks throughout the lobby without a mask. Another receptionist was also with her, mask less. They also made no effort to enforce the mask policy for other guests using the self-serve breakfast area. The breakfast area also contained many high touch areas, waffle maker, bagel/toast cabinet, fridge, ect, and no hand sanitizer or warning signage was in place to mitigate the risk of transmission. From observing the staff and hotel policies in place, no one would have ever known there was an ongoing global pandemic. I understand that there is always a risk in traveling, however effectively enforced policies can make a huge difference in the overall safety of their guests. It was disappointing and outright frustrating, especially when such measures are promised prior to booking. Even now, the Wyndham webpage says that COVID policies are in effect at all US properties. On another note, the receptionist that checked me in did not recognize my Diamond elite status level, or benefits. When I requested a suite upgrade if one was available, she informed me that there was one available but she would have to charge the upgrade fee and that the free upgrades were handled by "corporate". I informed her that from my past experiences the front desk handled these sort of upgrades. However, she said could not place me in a suite for free and that I should call Wyndham. Obviously, this was wrong - but I was tired at 4 hours of driving so I declined the upgrade for a fee and just proceeded with my originally booked room. After checking her computer, she informed me that my booked room was oversold and that she was bumping me into the suite I requested for free. It appears she had the capability and authority to provide me with my elite benefit, but chose not to in an attempt to squeeze extra money from me. She outright lied to me about not being able to place me in a complimentary upgraded room. Aside from that, our suite had a smell of sewage emanating from the shower drain. The hallway smelled off as well. Toiler flusher was also broken and needed repair. Overall, this place was cheap - but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Is she the only girl that works here? Without even checking she says check in is at 3:30pm and all rooms are booked and still being cleaned. We stayed the night at Wingate in Lake Powell. It's close to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. There were no nearby restaurants other than Denny's. Most restaurants and stores were on the other side of the town across Highway 89. The facility seems clean and safe with lots of lighting. Checking in was easy. The elevators worked well. The beds were firm but the pillows were flat. The indoor pool was not heated and was too cold for a late evening dip. The complimentary breakfast was good. Lots of things to choose from. The juice bar and coffee were excellent. If you have the time, there is a nearby hiking trail that is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel leading to a nice view of the Glen Canyon Dam. The rooms/bathrooms are fairly clean and spacious. Check-in process was pretty quick. Amenities are decent. Family friendly. Plenty of parking. Free breakfast, albeit continental. 24-hour Dennys in front of hotel. Here comes the buts.... We stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms, and during that time, no one cleaned our rooms! No new towels provided and the trash were not taken out! So we phoned the front desk (second night), but both room phones were not working. So we went to the front desk to let them know that our rooms were missed from cleaning, and that the phones were not working. The Front Desk replied that they know that the phones are not working and that guests were expected to see the front desk, and request for rooms to be cleaned or pick up new towels. Another but... At the time of check-in, we were not informed of that arrangement. They stated that because of Covid they don't automatically clean the rooms unless it is requested. In the time of Covid, no one understands the seriousness and caution around it better than our family. Yet another but... unless the staff actually follows/enforces Covid guidelines, like masking, we would not even think twice about the reasoning/intent. Customer service, safety, and satisfaction are not a part of their business model. Maybe, it was better to say that they were short-staffed...?? We were then told to take the trash and used towels and leave them by our doors, and someone will pick them up; however, the following morning, everything was still by our front door Maybe, it was better to say that someone will pick it up in the morning...? read more

this hotel overall was incredible. The rooms were very nicely set, everything was clean and seemed very well kept and new. The front off desk workers were very nice and quick as well. The only thing that makes it 4 stars is its breakfast. The breakfast was subpar. It was extremely limited and didn't even contain eggs or milk on some days. The selection usually was a fruit, some waffles, a biscuit and that's about it. In the end, if your ok with a smaller breakfast and a great view, this is your spot! HORRIBLE! Manager was super rude when we checked in. He refused for us to stay there when stated that we have a service dog. He tried to say pitbulls can't be service dogs and that she was an emotional support dog, which she is not and that my ID card for her was fake. We cleaned up everything afterwards but Justine, girl at the front desk told the GM how we trashed the hotel. They threw the girls out of their pool saying they cannot use the pool and we should get the hell out of his hotel or else he will call the police. The GM was not even present at the hotel to see anything that he was accusing us of. I have never been this embarrassed by anyone. Oh! We really enjoyed our stay here at Wingate by Wyndham. The rooms are spacious and clean. My only complaint about this is that pillows are small, like throw pillow small! Other than that, the bed is comfortable. The restroom is clean and the water pressure on the shower is excellent. The location of the hotel is very convenient. There's a Denny's restaurant behind the hotel within walking distance. The free breakfast included is very satisfactory. This hotel just opened in January 2018 and it is so nice! We stayed 2 nights on our summer Grand Canyon/Utah vacation and it was perfect for our stay in Page. The room was comfortable (my only complaint would be the square pillows, though) and very clean. The breakfast was not so good, but your average hotel breakfast (The eggs were strange, like little gritty balls of powered egg, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with breakfast and hope someone learns how to make eggs.) Breakfast is filling, there's a lot there, and they have an indoor pool if you're in for it. we just went there to do the Canyon tour. If you go there, you can drive or walk to the viewing area of the dam and take some great pictures. Be mindful of the steps, and wear hiking boots/pole for traction. In town the restaurants were mixed, recommend you may want to venture outside of town for good spots, there's a Denny's right next to the hotel but my guess is you're going here to travel you'd rather not. Upon checkout the lady was on the phone and sort of tossed me the receipt not very attentive, but this is Page Arizona and not New York City, you get that "thanks for visiting, but please leave" vibe everywhere. read more

When I asked the staff if she will replenish food at 8:45, she said the breakfast ends at 9, when there is a clear sign on the wall that breakfast is provided between 6:30 to 9:30. Stayed here for two nights on our road trip.. the hotel itself is very clean. We payed extra for the room with a lake view and it wasn't much of a view unless you wanted to people watch the Denny's parking lot. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, the shower was spacious, but the towels are like sandpaper. Each night the family went to the pool. The actual pool- well prepare yourself for what can only be compared to the polar bear plunge because it is certainly not heated. The whirlpool was "warm" but certainly not "hot" we tried turning the bubbles on but the dial did not work. We had to go ask someone at the desk and she had to get a key and enter the maintenance room and do it for us. We also requested towels because there were none. Never came back with towels- one of us had to go and get them. Second night- Same issues at the pool- no towels, hot tub had to ask for assistance. Overall the pool/spa experience could have gone better- the kids had fun but it was frustrating for us as parents. Breakfast- they do have "covid to-go bags" which consisted off a juice cup, a cereal bar, a plain donut, and a microwaveable sandwich (egg and cheese one morning, burrito another.) coffee/tea/hot coco was also available to go. I do think it was nice that they offered the grab and go bags for breakfast rather than just taking away another amenity. They also have sanitizer, and moist towelettes provided when you enter for your "safety." Not sure I would stay here again, there are other options right in the same parking lot so I may try one of those next time just because of the whole pool situation - if you don't care about the pool/spa there's really no issues here.
