We had a great week stay here in Moab, UT. Great location, walkable to many restaurants stores, shops & the Moab Visitor Center. Excellent base of operations for day trips to US National Parks & Utah state sites. This place was full during our week stay. Bus tours & motorcycle tours stay here. A lot of international visitors too. Very good staff - Martin & others. Maintenance quickly came to fix the sink. Breakfast & early morning coffee was good. This was quite possibly the nicest and most friendly La Quinta that I have stayed at. Check-in was the easiest check-in I have ever had, the staff was so kind and friendly from the check-in staff to the people that did breakfast to housekeeping. The room was so nice and spacious, it was definitely made for pet friendly and I absolutely love it. This La Quinta should be the standard set for every location. We had a comfortable, one-night stay at the LaQuinta by Wyndham in Moab on a Saturday night in early May, 2024. Being only about 10 minutes from the entrance to Arches National Park, it was a convenient option for the two of us who were tired after having toured and hiked around all day. There is much to recommend about the hotel. Our room was clean and well-maintained. Our bed was comfortable, and had good quality pillows and linens. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Parking was spacious and easy, even with our 20' class B RV. Free breakfast buffet with a variety of options, including fresh fruit. There was a BBQ restaurant next door, for which the hotel gave discount coupons. (We drove to pick up a very well-priced Pizza Hut pizza instead). There was also a laundry room with functioning and reasonably-priced washers and dryers, and a functioning elevator to go up and down. (The latter was especially appreciated as we had been camping and the washer in our last campground didn't wash even after taking our $$. Tip: the laundry room is also a great place to mingle ... there was the German woman who needed help with American appliances and coins, and the guy from San Bernardino who was there for a week to put up sets for a movie to be filmed in the area). If we could've changed anything ... we would've preferred a lower price point. Granted, it's a touristy town and it was a Saturday night in-season, but our non-luxurious room, with taxes AND 6000 Wyndham points, was almost $190 for one night. Also, we might prefer to stay at a hotel that was within closer walking distance to the busier part of downtown. In my heart, La Quinta gets 5 stars. Thats because my two dogs were sleeping in our bed. When you're sleeping in a warm, comfortable bed, with people you love, it a five! We stayed here last week while in Moab. La Quinta will allow pets for an additional fee. Two comfortable queens for 4 nights with dog 725! I like clean and it was. South end of town, perfect launch point to all that is Moab and way, way, more. Yeah, we'll stay again 100%. Friendly staff, nice place. One beef. We can't understand why the bathroom sinks are not IN the bathroom! A closed bathroom door is a beautiful thing when one is getting ready for the day while you get a few extra winks...definitely not a dealbreaker, just sayin... Awesome parks right outside of the hotel. One walk featured two families of deer. Creek runs along the trail. Miles of mountain biking, hiking, and oh yeah, two of the coolest National parks on earth! Canyonland and Arches National Park are very short drives from the hotel which is why most come to Moab. PET FRIENDLY!! Great pet accommodations! Lots of parking and easy check-in. They not only make the human guests happy, they make the pets happy and comfortable as well. All breeds allowed (cannot show any signs of aggression) big and small. They'll put all the animals on the first floor. They have a little dog park even. The rooms are spacious here. For a double queen room, they make sure to leave enough space for your fur babies beds too. There is free continental breakfast and 24/7 coffee. Which is nice for those coming in late. They had a bunch of rooms available. We were a stop in, just for the night. Left earlier than breakfast was served so we could be back on the road again. The beds, bedding, so plushy and comfortable! Sometimes it's really nice to sleep on a good bed that you don't have to clean every morning. Ha!the overall hotel and room was really clean. It didn't smell like dogs. You wouldn't be able to tell that there are dogs around until they start coming out their rooms for walks. It's quiet. Peaceful. And well maintained. Had a solid stay here while visiting arches and canyonlands. easy to find and has plenty of parking. The service here was welcoming and nice. The rooms are very basic a bit dated but everything worked and i had no issues. Bed was comfy, shower had hot water, so all good for me. We liked this place a lot. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We really appreciated how there's a restaurant next door, the Blu Pig, that opened late so we could have something to eat since we arrived late to the town that night. The price was also very reasonable in this touristic town. The staff were also friendly. We have no complaints and would be glad to stay here as well if we were in Moab again, which most likely will happen because we love all the national parks in Utah! read more

Wow. This is a great hotel 10 minutes from Arches National Park and 35 minutes from Canyonlands National Park on the southern end of Moab. It was very clean and well maintained. We had a multiple night stay here and couldn't find a single thing that we didn't like about it. Thomas was working the front desk most of the time and was an absolute pro (a bit of comedian too). Everyone we interacted with here were very friendly and helpful. They serve you a small breakfast with a few different options instead of doing a buffet due to coronavirus restrictions. I booked a 3 night stay here and dealt with Richard, an employee at the hotel. He booked our rooms and i was charged considerably more than he quoted me. When I checked out of the hotel after three nights, I was told I could not get a receipt for the first two nights since they were booked via Priceline. I did NOT book with Priceline. I've called the hotel several times and get the runaround each time. The employee assures me a Mgr or Asst Mgr will check on the overcharge and get back to me but noone ever does. I will never stay at this property again and can NOT recommend it as I don't trust them with their booking practices and they don't respond to inquiries. read more

One of the only dog-friendly hotels in town, and you know it! On our summer cross-country road trip, we made our final stop here in Moab, and stayed for four days. This little hotel had all the amenities we needed for three kids and a Yorkie: A/C, an outdoor pool, and a grassy area to sniff and pee. For the dog, I mean. Moab's main drag seems to be perpetually under construction, and our visit a couple of months ago was no exception. This La Quinta is towards the southern part of town, and since there is only one real road through town, construction will slow you down a bit, especially if you have to traverse it a few times to hit Arches and Canyonlands. On the good side, the hotel is back a little bit from the street, so it is quieter (despite the doggies on the first floor who bark at every door as you walk down the hall... good boy!) and it is across the street from a supermarket. Winning. The room was fine-- clean and comfortable, but not opulent. Wyndham is a good brand, and while this is far from the fanciest La Quinta we've ever stayed, it was fine. In COVID-times, use of the pool is by "appointment" to limit the number of people at any given time... not a big deal, but adds a step, especially if you're here with kids who have a way of changing your schedule and planning at the last minute. The hotel is also adjacent to a gas station and a park walking path, so there were a few more people sort of "just passing through" by our first floor window than usual. Not a big deal, but noticeable. Highlights of the trip included some real salty folks doing major automotive engine repair in the parking lot for three days straight, and a monsoon storm that blew through and knocked out power and cable TV for an hour or so. Actually kind of fun, except for the TV part. We'd totally stay here again... and considering we took the scenic route home (headed south through Northern Arizona vs. north back to the I-70), that southern part of Moab location paid off when it was time to leave. Avoid, there are lots of options in Moab. A few hours before we were to arrive an employee called and told us that "everyone must leave the motel by 10:00 PM as ordered by the Moab health department". Thus our reservation was cancelled and we need to find somewhere else to stay. I called the county health department and they told me that all existing reservations (up to 10:00 PM) are acceptable and the county did NOT order all guest to leave. I contacted the motel General Manager, Mike Ewell and explained the information from the county. He refused to contact the health department to confirm that existing reservations are allowed to stay. The health department was open and only a few blocks away from the motel. I received two more phone calls from the motel. One indicating that we can check in at 9:45 PM but would have to check out by 10:00 PM the same day. That was strange. About 30 minutes later I received another phone call indicating that we can check in and stay as per our reservation. I'm assuming that the General Manager (Mike Ewell) read the instructions from the County Health Dept. There is no need to deal with the rude front desk staff and incompetent manager that can't solve simple problems. The building has a strange smell as if there is not enough ventilation or carpet cleaning. We left the window open and bath fan on to vent the room. read more

The location is pretty good. Lots of shopping and restaurants. It's about 12 min to arches, 30 min to dead horse, 5-10 min to biking trails. I am new to using the la quienta hotel chain. So far I'm not too impressed. The hotel itself was okay. It was not bad, just not that great. The walls are super thin, you can hear everything outside, and above you! There were a few stains on the window curtains and shower curtain. I found a big black hair on our bed sheets. Just minor things that made it feel less clean. The stains especially, are an easy fix that would make the presentation of the room so much better. The pillows were also not that comfortable. They were overstuffed and lumpy. Nevertheless, we slept well from exhaustion! Your stay comes with complementary breakfast. It was actually pretty good. You can choose from some hot items and cold items. The breakfast was my favorite part. Again, this hotel was not bad, just not great. I would prob test my luck somewhere else next time I'm in Moab. read more

Very friendly staff, nice and roomy rooms, very clean and of course dog friendly. They even have a large grassy area (with potty bags) by the parking lot adjacent to a fenced in area for the dogs. My dog didn't like that area because it was all dirt, she prefers grass. This is probably the best La Quinta that we have been in and it's a nice place for the money. This place is a no for me, dawg. Seems like this hotel is meant for people traveling with pets? Many reviews here say La Quinta Moab makes it easy and free to bring your pooch, and that's cool. Otherwise, this place isn't that great. The check-in person was not friendly or welcoming at all. The room was huge but didn't smell very clean. The sectional sofa was rad to have, but it didn't feel clean--it was dark brown so who knows what stains could be lurking there. The microwave was struggle bus. The fridge was perfect. The breakfast was the best thing--a nice selection of food and hot stuff like eggs, potatoes, toast. All hotels in Moab are convenient to Arches etc. so I don't see how that gets you any points. read more

The guy at the front blew a fat cloud inside when we walked in which was pretty weird... but other than that would recommend at the price range. PETS PETS PETS If you are allergic, I recommend avoiding LaQuinta. Pets are free. Great place but... Really nice and great breakfast included in the price. They offer $.50 bottles of water in the lobby to pick up before heading out into the heat. My issue is, I'm allergic dogs and cats. At the time I was there, I believe they said there were 100 dogs on the premises. They allow the 1st and 2nd floors for people with pets. My allergies flared and I was a mess. I'm pretty sure it was because I was sitting on the sofa in the room. I asked if they could change my bed sheets etc. the next morning even tho I wasn't leaving. They were happy to do so. read more

All the rooms on their pet floor stink and they claim it's from odors from prior visiting pets but it doesn't seem like they clean their pet rooms at all. Very satisfied based on the price we paid, other hotels available in the area, and the location. The staff here are friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are very clean and up to date. There are no dog restrictions, so there are a good amount of dogs here. There are NO DOG SMELLS and we never heard a peep from any dogs. La Quinta Inn & Suites in Moab was conveniently located on Main Street where you can easily find, without asking for directions, a drug store, a photo store, fast food and restaurants. I've always enjoyed staying at this hotel and have stayed numerous times. Their suites are fantastic and their basic rooms are clean and spacious, and comfortable. The hotel staff is SO friendly and they accommodate anything and anyone. They are also PET FRIENDLY! Yay! And are so great about them too. All their staff has always loved our pets and give them treats as well as offered to watch them while we had the complimentary breakfast... which is AWESOME, by the way. This is my first and only pick for hotels when I need one in Moab. It's also the one I recommend to all the people I know. They will give group discounts. And yes, I have stayed in the other hotels before finding this one! The parking lot is huge and there are local restaurants right there in the lot or across the street. You can walk anywhere from their location, and there's a place to exercise your dog as well that's really nice... along with a play set for kids. And there's an outdoor pool. read more
