Horrible hotel. Do not book here. I booked what I thought was 2 queen beds, turns out it was a king room. They would not cancel or refund any of my money. We actually stayed in the small RV campground that this hotel offers and it was very nice! Campers had full use of the hotel amenities which included a well-furnished gym and a lovely fire pit sitting area. The location just a block from historic downtown is unbeatable as there are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Cedar City a couple weeks ago -- and just to be clear, that's the one on this side of the street, not the regular Best Western across the way. We booked here thinking "Plus" meant a little extra something. Turns out the "plus" might just mean "plus walking a few more steps to breakfast." The room itself? Totally fine. Clean, standard Best Western experience. No issues there. But the complimentary breakfast... yikes. We've stayed at plenty of Best Westerns and similar places across the country, and this one easily lands near the bottom of the list. The food was bland, barely warm, and the "options" felt like they were just going through the motions. We were there for three days -- by day three, I seriously considered just eating the plastic cutlery instead. Front desk staff? They weren't rude, but let's just say they met the minimum requirements of employment. If there was an Olympic event for "professional neutrality," these folks would medal. Also worth noting: there's a little decorative bell in the courtyard -- which small children somehow sense from miles away. If you're planning on an afternoon nap, forget it. That bell gets rung like it's the final round of a prize fight. Repeatedly. With joy. By children. Every. Single. Day. All in all, not the worst stay ever -- but not sure I'd rush back without checking a few other options first. The back patio door did not lock moved to another room after clerk verified it was an issue . Gave us room right next door heard someone in the room that would not lock . Felt unsafe all night . Beware check and make sure your door locks and you cannot open from outside the room by merely turning handle . We got there in the evening after all day traveling or would have left . read more

For our interstate move from Orange County, CA, to Boise, ID, we drove 9 hours our first day and landed in Cedar City at midnight. We had prayed for a room to be available and chose this motel because of the Yelp reviews. The young woman said there was one room left. It turned out to be on the second floor, close to the street and a parking space where we could keep an eye on our U-Haul. There were no rooms on either side. The room was clean and the king bed comfortable. The shower water pressure was good and the water was hot. We slept well. The breakfast was filling but unappetizing, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee--the usual. We will likely not be back in the area any time soon but do recommend this Best Western. read more

Don't trust your in room ice bin! Read through.... This hotel had the best reviews on both Yelp and Booking.com so I decided to book a night here on my way home from Colorado to California to break up my stay. I'm so glad I chose to book a stay in town, as the unexpected forecast of snow was coming down like crazy throughout my drive thru Utah. My check-in was easy breezy and the young gentleman was both efficient and friendly. The hotel itself seemed very clean and updated. But our room told a different story. The ice bin had obviously NOT been inspected by housekeeping staff, as someone, a prior female I'm guessing used it as a trash recycling facility for their used feminine products as if it were a trash bin. So unsanitary and so inappropriate for housekeeping staff to not check this! I'm was throughly disgusted and reported this to the check-in attendant. He had no ice bins to offer me. But upon asking if he had any plastic bags to offer, he gave me a few. He deserved the 3 stars. The hotel is quite noisy. My daughter and I initially fell asleep around 9pm with a sound machine may I tell you! Shortly after maybe around 10-11pm there were slamming doors and what sounded like hard feet running overhead. It finally subsided sometime around 11:30pm or after. Then next thing I know I hear slamming doors feet and water running by 6am. Ugh. The room wasn't the cleanest. They don't vacuum next to the beds, as my daughter found old stickers and a child's sock. There was also a cap from something like a coke or?? under the desk. I just pray our sheets and towels were clean! Lol. The free breakfast was decent. Monday is scrambled eggs with sausage, biscuits & gravy. They offer cereal, coffee, apple juice & OJ as well as bananas and muffins. While I didn't get to use the workout facility or check out the garden and fire pit due to the time of year, the my appeared to be clean or/ in good condition. Would I come back? Most likely not, as I don't see a need. But I do feel the price was appropriate considering the time of year. Housekeeping took my 4 star rating to a 2 but the young kind gentleman at check-in took my score back up to a 3. read more

The outdoor cabin vibe was great! Amazing location at about 9000 ft! Beautiful scenery! A good weekend getaway from the city. It's so peaceful and relaxing. We just wanted to chill in the patio by the fire pit. We like the location as it is close to a couple of restaurants for dinner plans and trails for morning jog. It's also about 5-minute drive to the ski resort. The hotel wasn't busy at the time, we stayed around 2nd week of April during the weekend. Bedroom: Beds and sheets were clean. Microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker are provided. The heating was great, only took about a minute for the room to get toasty! Bathroom: Most bathroom essentials are provided, including a blow dryer. Shower head can be turned easily and it didn't take a while for hot water to flow. Missing hand soap though. Clean bathroom. Breakfast: Continental breakfast was decent. Scrambled eggs were a bit runny. We were expecting pancakes lol, but that's ok, we liked the multiple bread and bagel selection. Service: All the staff were attentive. The host/concierge greeted us every time we passed by the lobby area. We didn't ask for housekeeping as we only stayed for 2 nights, but they were kind enough to hand us extra towels when ran into them in the hallway. The staff in the patio was also able to accommodate us when we needed fire in the fire pit. Only issue was we had difficulty getting a hold of the front desk at night via phone call around 10pm. Parking: Free. Will definitely stay here again if we were to take another trip to Brian Head! read more

Very good gym in terms of hotel standards. Couple treadmills, dumbbells up to 50, and 4 cable machines. They also provide hot breakfast from 6:30-9:30am and it's pretty solid. Always have eggs and sausage. They also rotate with hash browns or biscuit n gravy depending on the day. The only con is the walls cane be a bit thin as you can hear people walking/talking outside your door. Overall, great value for the location and the amenities are a plus! read more

This is a tough review. Some things were great and some not. The staff were very friendly. The hotel and rooms were clean and big. We loved the quaint feel. The breakfast was not impressive at all. If that is important to you, don't stay here. If you just need an excellent room, you will be fine here. Be aware there is another Best Western directly across the street from this one which is not a "Plus". This BW location is pretty cute and updated. The reason for the 2 star deduction is our room was an ice box the entire evening even though the thermostat read 90°, the heater only blew luke warm air. We were Disappointed the bbq grills were non functioning even though the employee said they worked and told us where to find the grill tools. I loved the big fire pit outback. I would not advise considering employment at this particular location due to deficiencies in management, notably in the areas of communication and employee treatment, as well as the consistent lack of availability for phone contact. Myself and several colleagues have encountered numerous challenges that could have been promptly addressed or avoided altogether, but unfortunately were exacerbated instead, posing a threat to our safety and well-being within the workplace. The quality of the rooms are not well. There have been several occasions where there was bugs found. People were not given proper help or even refunds. I would highly not suggest this place to people. Pay is always messed up as well and takes going in circles to talk with management. read more

I stay in Cedar City quite a bit, but this was my first stay here. This hotel is priced way more than the $80-$100 hotels but it isn't even as nice. It really feels like an $80 hotel, it was a mistake to pay more. I chose it because it said they had EV chargers. Shame on me for not actually calling because they were broken and taped up. It also took half an hour to check us in, they left someone new at the desk and he didn't know how to make keys and had to call for help. Very odd, a huge line formed. No pool. Second floor is the top. Funky smell in the rooms. Not enough towels (two!). And they have that weird soap with moisturizer that feels like you can't get it off your skin so bring your own. But really all that isn't as important as the fact that you're just not getting what you pay for here. read more

I was very impressed by how nice this Best Western was. The room was just what I was hoping for, standard but clean & nice. The scenery outside was awesome, it had a huge fire pit, big chess board for entertainment, garden area with lots of vegetables, beautiful weather & a pretty good breakfast. FREE breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, fruits, mini pancakes, yogurt, juice/milk, toast/bagel/english muffin & coffee area. Can't ask for more for FREE! Great place to stay! Whether you are taking a vacation or dropping off the medium human at SUU. I would strongly recommend the Best Western Plus Cedar City. The rooms are ample clean and quiet and the air conditioning works great! The purpose for our stay was to help my niece settle in here at SUU. We are from So Cal so a little bit of a cultural shock. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. On our first night we had so much fun at their daily evening BBQ. It's set up in the courtyard area adjacent to a large living garden. It was great they let us pick out veggies to cook. It was a great assortment of squash, peppers, beats, egg plant, green beans, corn off the stock and more. They were also BBQ'ing fresh hamburgers and bratwurst. After dinner they had the perfect smores set up. Every morning they have a great breakfast set up. The breakfast consists of eggs,bacon, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, burritos, waffle maker, fresh donuts and juice. This place is truly great and for the price you can't it it. We spent two nights at this Best Western Plus during our recent trip "Out West". This location is across the street from another Best Western. It is a two story building. We learned that the same person owns them both. We were greeted by a very lovely young lady. She directed us to the elevator as our room number was in the 400's. As we entered the elevator we only saw buttons for floors one and two. We hit two and arrived at the 400's. We learned the owner had the other location first, it has the 100's and 200's. This location has the 300's and 400's. Very odd but I get it. The room was neat and tidy. Bath area was fine but the toilet is small and low to the ground. We had a door to the exterior that opened to a fenced walkway and overlooked the BBQ area. In the evening free BBQ and s'mores are available. We didn't partake but it's a very nice touch. We felt that the continental breakfast was superior. Scrambled eggs were light and fluffy bacon cooked crisp and there was a yogurt machine with many toppings to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the orange juice, it tasted fresh squeezed. Two ladies tended to the area and kept everything perished and tables cleaned efficiently. We paid $124.00 an night. Been here several times over the years, time for a review. This location in the Best Western chain has always been a pleasant visit overall with few complaints. Room pricing is on par with similar inns in the area. The facilities are attractive and well laid out with parking spaces available right in front of the rooms which we appreciated although the level of the rooms themselves are situated about 2 feet below the parking area. This unfortunate design made it necessary to walk to the end of the building where a short flight of stairs took you to the walkway along the row of rooms. I wonder what the design team was consuming when they thought this was better than having the rooms at the same level as the parking spaces in front of them. There is a nice pool and barbecue area in back as well as a well equipped exercise room. Don't waste your time on the complimentary continental style breakfast though. It was limited in selection and of mediocre quality. I overheard one guest mumble "this was the worst" as he tossed his partially eaten plate in the trash can. The front desk staff were friendly and fulfilled their assignment as well as one could ask for. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and didn't show signs of aging as I commonly find in some hotel chains. Four stars for an enjoyable two-night stay that will most likely see us return. read more

This is just a beautiful hotel. We are staying in the RV park at the hotel. They are just the nicest people! The hotel is built around a central courtyard. in the courtyard they have a water splash zone for the kids, a giant chess set (about 10 x 10 feet), a huge fire pit that is fired up at night and lovely raised bed flower and vegetable gardens. When there is produce in the gardens, it's for the guests to enjoy. We have a lovely spot under a tree for our RV. They have full hookups and a picnic table beside us. It's easy to maneuver in and out of here. I highly recommend Best Western Plus in Cedar City, Utah. read more

Newly decorated facility. Nice than your average BW. We had a two queen room which had a good amount of space. We had entry from the hallway and from the walkway balcony. My husband wasn't a fan of that because it seemed more open and not as private as he would like. Fridge and micro in the room. Good selection of breakfast. We stayed here for three nights and loved every minute of it. We didn't have the best weather and could not do as much skiing as we had planned, but that was okay because we actually loved our hotel stay and Cedar City. The hotel is not fancy- and there was no jacuzzi - but, they had a nice breakfast every morning, and actually a light dinner at night. Coffee and hit chocolate were always available. The lobby was very comfortable for playing games with family and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. This was a nice hotel and were accommodating to our needs (room needed to be by an elevator if not on the first floor). However, our room was not prepared and ready though we arrived sometime between 6 and 7 pm. We were exhausted from a full day of driving and when we went to our room, we were shocked to see that the beds were not made. There were empty bottles of wine on the side tables. There were towels on the floor. When I called the front desk to let them know all they said was "Wait one second." Not a single apology. This is a hood hotel. I travel for work and can say that this place is good! Clean for sure! There is a lovely hot breakfast ! There is an evening soup and crackers! The is good too. The overall take is darn good! However.....the front desk are pretty useless. The young, sweet girl is uninformed. The old day time guy has no customer service. Not even a smile. That really was the missing star. The front desk should be informed about the not very many restaurants and things in this small town. It should also smoke and welcome guests.
