    Outside tables for planning!

Really surprised to see all the negative reviews. I've stayed here multiple times and it's been pleasant. It's right off the highway, so it's very convenient, especially coming from St George. My room did not face the highway, so I didn't have any highway noise. If you think you are a light sleeper, then you may want to request a room not facing the highway. The bed was very comfy. Rooms have a bathtub. I do wish they had plugs by both sides of the bed, but at least one of the sides does. There's also the suite area with a sectioned off wall and a desk. My only gripe about this is that with a desk it's a little dark, even with all the lights on. There's a little kitchenette with a sink microwave, and a decent size fridge. I didn't have any issues with any of the appliances, which I sometimes do at other hotels. There's also breakfast with multiple hot items. It does get a little crowded at breakfast time so I would plan to eat in the room if you want to avoid people. Another really awesome thing is that there is outside seating. I really like this because the weather in Cedar City is very nice and I like being able to sit outside and enjoy it. There are both lounge chairs and tables, which I used quite a bit. There's not really a whole lot within walking distance of this hotel. There is a Hawaiian place and a soda place, as well as a gas station. But if you're looking for more downtown stuff, you're going to have to drive to get to that.

The room wasn't bad. The staff during check in were super nice but my issue is purely with the cleanliness of the room. Please see photos. It made us feel sick and smelt like hot wet dog in the middle of the night.

After an amazing stay at a Springhill Suite in Montana, we decided to book a night's stay on our way back from Canada. I thought all Springhill Suites are the same - they are definitely not! In my opinion this location is very, very unclean. The bath tub was clogged, the room had a strong pungent odor (like stale urine smell), a friendly gnat greeted me when I entered my room, there were greasy handprints all over the room - windows, TV screen and mirrors, and strands of human hair on the chair. It was past midnight when we arrived, and we were too exhausted from driving all day that I I did not want to wrestle front desk for a room change. We just crashed into bed and high tailed it out of there in the morning. What a traumatic experience. Never again with a Springhill Suite. I will remember this incident well. I will remember this incident well. It felt as if me and my family slept in a public restroom all night. To be fair, I tried to call the front desk to let them know of the unacceptable state of their room. I spoke to a male staff and told him I was not asking for a room change at this hour, but was calling to let him know all that is wrong in this room before I write a review. He said "please do!" meaning - go ahead and write that negative review. He sounded concerned, but couldn't care less. We skipped the free breakfast, as I can only imagine the condition of how the food was prepared. What's unfair is that I paid close to $200 for this room.

1 tiny bar of soap for shower room & sink (divided area). No shampoo & tiny cream rinse. YES it matters. I've stayed at Marriott properties for over 32 years so I didn't bring mine in a rush to get out door for emergency trip. DON'T get room by highway - you hear every car & semi passing 24/7. Pool looks exactly like one at Clarion, down the street. Exercise room is for 2 ppl. It's tiny and on small hall near pool and lobby restrooms. Breakfast is next to lobby/front desk!!! NOT what I expected from Marriott property either. TV scrambles while watching it!!! Wallpaper in shower area??? Really??? And it needs more glue!!!! Owned by Safari Property & they are obvious more into their cash and NOT the guest/paying public. We won't be back!

    Stained furniture

I do not recommend this place: One bar of soap One half roll of toilette paper Unhelpful staff Stained old furniture Creaky floors and lots of noises from other guests when they're doing normal activities I don't like to feel like I'm being rationed basic needs (e.g., TP and soap) when I'm on vacation Bouncy uncomfortable, low quality beds Pillows are also uncomfortable and low quality

Absolutely awful service and things broken in the room. I've never had such a terrible experience at check in. The check in lady barely greeted us, was cold in her demeanor, didn't thank for being elite member, wasn't really nice at all. We got to a room, turns out TV is not working. I try everything to fix it, doesn't work still, so I go downstairs ask her for help. She started asking 'oh it's not possible, did you try using the remote'? Seriously? She started going with me to the room to try and fix it, she sees me going to the elevator and she goes 'oh, I don't do elevators' and just left me there like that. Half an hour later, someone from maintenance comes in, without mask, says 'oh yeah it sometimes doesn't work, there's like some channels but that's extra'. Left the hotel, cancelled the reservation and found holiday inn next door. Avoid this place.

The new flooring, walls, furniture, and restroom fixtures. One thing I do recommend is that they add better ventilation fans in the restrooms that suck the air out quicker and more efficiently. The beds were comfortable and offered very nice bedding. Although I did not need the use of the AC, it did work very well. A big plus about staying at this hotel is the breakfast they offer for free throughout your stay during the morning hours. I hit it up every morning, regardless if I was intending to have breakfast later that day. The breakfast includes biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage links, make your own waffle machine, breakfast potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, and much more, not to mention coffee and teas. There's inside and outside seating available. The hotel offers an inside pool, it's a non-smoking facility, offers a laundry facility, and an exercise room. The renovations will include a new lobby and restaurant and bar. I would stay here again, not only because the prices were very fair and it was a good stay.

Walls are thin and the weekend we were there, there were lots of teens/early 20s folks that were crazy loud in the hall. Glad I had my noise canceling headphones charged up. Parking lot had some construction on one side while we visited. Not a huge deal, jist went around the other side. It might be beneficial to have a separate area for RV parking, as having RVs parked directly behind passenger vehicles made maneuvering around them a little difficult. Breakfast served every morning and it was definitely adequate, nothing to complain about there. Not fancy by any means though.

How heart-warming is that!? I immediately wanted to meet each of the pooches and have a cuddle-puddle in the lobby, but I refrained. The hotel itself is fine-the room was incredibly spacious with a double shower that's just begging for some group adult parties. I'm sure this setup is perfect for such shenanigans, but I can't confirm that since it was just me and the wife. But anyway, yeah, that's a balling shower. I also appreciate the higher quality shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. Dove is a step above the typical hotel stuff, for sure! Breakfast is rather nice-a full selection of hot items, cereal, fruit and an assortment of juices and coffee. Everything stayed stocked and neat thanks to the attentive breakfast staff. My one complaint about this hotel is the noise. We heard every conversation out in the hall-and I don't think anyone was speaking at unreasonably loud levels. The sounds of footsteps above us made me think that there were large animals running around-but I bet there were not. A little better insulation or other sound-reducing measures could really make a difference. Especially if you have a party in that shower.

We arrived at 2:45pm, check-in is listed at 3:00pm. As I approached the front desk, I was not greeted. No name tags on any employee. One women was on the computer and never looked up. The other women who was messing with keycard folders, finally acknowledged that her lobby was full. I said checking in, she nervously said they had no rooms cleaned and the other women stood up, very pissed off. Looked at her co-worker, as if we weren't standing there and said in a very nasty voice, "they will have to wait until 3 for check in. We have no clean rooms." To which I replied, "I have worked in the hotel industry, there is no way, there isn't a room available, 10 minutes before check in time. You aren't going to turn over 200 rooms in the next 10 minutes, have you not been cleaning them all morning?" She completely waived me off and said, "3:00pm is check in." So at 2:58pm magically they had a room for us to check into. There were pubic hairs all over the bathroom sink and the bath tub. Gross. I let the water take them down the drain. A bag of garbage sat at the top of the stairs for an entire day, not even closed up. Literally in the path of the stairs, fire hazard. My husband reminded the front desk that it was up there at 7pm still. She sighed and said she would get to it. There is NO hot water, no matter what time of day or night you shower. Luke warm at best. Day four and the stairs have not been vacuumed once, since being here. At breakfast, I was pushed to the side by a breakfast attendant twice, so she could grab her rags, as I was reaching for items. We needed a roll away bed for our last night here and requested the bed on day 2 of our stay and we were told that they don't reserve beds, they are first come, first serve. I was instructed to come down first thing in the morning the day I needed the bed. 730am I went down to the front desk to do so. While I waited my turn, I listened to another guest conplain about her stay and watched her show pictures of all the bugs in her room and the hotel tub. The front desk attendant said and I quote, "You didn't have to stay here, you could have checked out immediately and been given a full refund." The hotel guest then said, "There were no other rooms." To which she got a reply, "Look, I wasn't here last night, so I don't know what happened." And she kept looking down at her computer screen, while the customer continued to tell her about her experience. She couldnt even give her the respect of eye contact while speaking to her and acknowledging her frustrations. Basically taking no accountability for the company she works for. I step up to the desk to request my roll away to which I am told, "We have none that have been turned in, come back at 3pm, when it is check in." Seems like there are no processes in place to know when beds are turned in. My husband check again, upon our return from lunch and shopping and he was told they dont have any beds yet and check back later tonight. She put our room on a list of requested rooms that needed a rollaway. I grabbed my book and sat in the chairs on the second floor and waited for house keeping to be done cleaning the rooms. It was about 230pm. I asked him. "Hey, do you happen to have any rollaway beds in that storage closet? We have been waiting all day to have one delivered." He opened up the storage closet and sure enough there were two rollaway beds just sitting in there. Ridiculous that the front desk either doesnt know they are available or too lazy to check the closet. I guarantee they will never call us or bring a roll away to our room today. The 3pm shift arrived for work and I proceed to hear about how pissed off the front desk clerk was having to listen to everyone complain about the rooms. And the lady that showed up to work, asically agreed. The male bousekeeper who works on the second floor asked a housekeeping lead if she had checked out his rooms, so he could put his cart away and go home. She said, just go, no need. The male housekeeper was trying to follow protocal. I am disgusted by the attitude of every single person that works in this hotel, except for the male house keeper that works the 2nd floor. I am now sitting in the room itching everywhere; the thought of bugs in this place eww. I have personally not seen one in my room, but if there are bugs in one room, there are bugs in all the rooms. Eeek. I needed a new room key. As I had lost my key. The front desk made me new room keys, asked for my name, but never my photo ID to prove who I was. So basically anyone has access to your room, if they know your room number and your name. That is such a security/safety breach!!!! Never ever would that be acceptable at another hotel. I called and left a message for Corporate to call me back and not one word from them.
