we have been on the road for six days and this by far was probably one of the cleanest and most comfortable rooms that we stayed in on this journey. The room was a comfortable size and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. The parking for this hotel was really easy for unloading and accessing the hotel. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating. This place was really good and I'm happy that we stayed here. We will definitely be back at this place if we are in the area again. This Courtyard was that start of a road trip for me. I've been here before. My wife likes it. They are located right off the 15. They are in a good location with a Walmart, and restaurants nearby. Check in was nice and easy. We were given the room that we booked. A studio king. It was the standard room that we normally get when staying here with a small work area, a bed, and coffee maker. Bathrooms are typical with the Bonvoy special shampoo, conditioner and bodywash in gymlike dispensers. They have a decent gym downstairs equipped with treadmills and ellipticals. Dumbbells are available for weightlifting. The gym was clean and had plenty of wipes and towels. Breakfast is served downstairs. No free breakfast at this Courtyard even for elite members like me. They do give platinum and above members $10 with everything costing over $10, not including coffee or morning drinks. Surprisingly, the tomatoes served with breakfast were some of the best tomatoes I've ever had. Overall, it is an okay hotel. You can get a good nights rest here. You will pay for breakfast whether you are platinum elite and above or not. My wife likes it. Okay? I probably will be back. read more

It appears that the hotel is both family-friendly and suitable for solo travelers and business trips. The process of checking in and out was effortless. The bistro restaurant in the hotel is not good and should be skipped. I stayed for a few days and left the do not disturb sign on my door and by the third day they left a bag by my door with clean towels, soap and coffee pods. The customer service is great and they're always super friendly at check in/check out. This location also works well if you want to visit Bryce Canyon NP. I believe I may have found my new favorite hotel in the Cedar City area. This Courtyard is fairly new and is located right off the freeway-close enough to lots of restaurants and shopping that it is convenient for just about any person visiting or passing through town. The lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming when we arrived, making friendly small talk with us and welcoming us to town. I noticed that there were a few ice scrapers set out on the counter-a super thoughtful gesture to guests who would likely need to dig out of snow at some point during their winter stay. The bed is so comfortable and the décor in the room is intriguing. There are lots of interesting angles-wallpaper hung in a way that draws attention and cupboard doors cut at unique angles. It's got a modern and clean feel. The shower in the bathroom is very large and there are individual bottles of shampoo and conditioner. As a Marriott loyalist, I can say that this location easily lives up to the proven brand and reputation, and I look forward to staying here again. read more

I made another Utah stop. This one to the cooler climate of Cedar city! After spending some time online looking at hotels in this area I found that this Courtyard Marriott was the newest in town. It also looked very appealing so I had decided then to book a one bedroom suite. After spending a couple hours on the open road I soon realized that the hotel was going to be easy to find because it was the one building staring at me as soon as I got off the highway! I parked and entered the lobby and the lobby was quite nice looking, smelled amazing, but it was completely empty. After several minutes of waiting for someone to assist me I finally called the hotels main number so the phone will ring and get somebody's attention as there were no employees in sight. The phone rang numerous times and after a couple minutes somebody emerged from the back and I think it was the general manager. This person checked me in and gave me my room keys. THE SUITE: I open my Suite door and find a presentable, clean and modern accommodation. The bathroom was probably one of the largest I've seen in a hotel and was home to a large Japanese soaking tub. The bedroom area was very inviting, very picturesque and had a textured comforter. There was also a large TV and it truly looked like a wonderful place to sleep. I was right. The only complaint I have is that I found the air conditioner filter which looked like it hadn't been changed since the room was built considering the amount of dust caked on it which I suspect hindered the operation of the air conditioning. There was a fridge and microwave in the suite as well THE POOL: this hotel has a very large indoor pool and a larger-than-normal outdoor hot tub. The outdoor hot tub is still within the pool enclosure but there's fresh air and not in the direct sun as there's still a roof. It was so very nice to sit out there. The pool was at a beautiful temperature as well. For those that don't know, this hotel also has a large area with several meeting rooms that could be hidden if you haven't explored enough to find them. Everything in this hotel is neat clean and quiet. There was a fitness center which was closed and there's also a laundry facility for guests to do their own the laundry which appeared to be open. Let's not forget the outdoor seating with a "fire pit" type area. I absolutely love this hotel and I think it's up there on the list of one of the best hotels I've stayed at. This is a newly built (as of summer 2022) hotel in Cedar City, UT. I used it as my base to explore Zion National Park. The Courtyard Marriott brand is hit or miss for me. I generally avoid it if I can because there's no breakfast included in the stay. But the price was right for this spot -- I got two nights for about 30,000 Bonvoy points in July 2022 -- so I booked, and I'm glad I did. The lobby here is really inviting, with lots of tables and nooks to spread out and hold meetings, eat food, or get some work down on the laptop. Wireless is free and fast. Rooms are modern spacious. Large TV on the wall. Friendly staff. From here it's about a 40 minute drive to Zion so for the price and location it's a good place to stay if you're visiting Zion. You can find accommodations closer to the park but it will be pricier. And Cedar City has access to things you might need like chain restaurants (think Panda Express, Chili's, Culver's, etc), a selection of gas stations, and a Walmart. I would stay again. read more

Still a wonderful place to stay for the evening and I've never had any issues booking within hours of visiting. I sometimes stay here on my way to California from Colorado or on my way from Colorado to California. There are lots of eateries , gas stations, and other places in the area close by so if you need anything within business hours that a plus. Unfortunately each time I've stayed at the hotel , the bistro and restaurant & breakfast have never been up and running. Service is always great. I've never felt unsafe either. No shampoo, body wash, face towels, or shower cap at minimum in the room. Not to mention? The AC will not go lower than 70. In addition, hot tub jets have been broken for over a week! We stopped at this hotel since we were driving from SLC, UT to CA, we checked in roughly at 2:30am on 10/8/23, I would've LOVED to give this hotel 5-Stars because of the Front Desk clerk, she was VERY friendly and helpful, the mattress was quite comfortable, overall the experience was decent. The reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I hopped in the shower the minute I got in the room and when I grabbed a towel to dry myself, I ended up with blonde hair wrapped all over my hands and arms (I have black hair) that alone was disgusting. Also, for a hotel by Marriott you'd expect better sheets to cover yourself with, the covers the room we stayed in (my husband, my 9YO, and I) were mediocre and I felt like I was covering myself with a piece of rough paper, I decided to not cover myself. First, there was no one at the reception desk to check us in. This was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. There were hairs in the sheets, the mattress pad was ripped and covered only half the mattress, there was a white stain on the carpet next to the bed, worst of all the sheets were full of hairs. We had a long drive ahead of us in the morning so we didn't want to spend time changing rooms and it was doubtful that anyone from housekeeping would be available to change the sheets. This is probably one of the nicest hotels to stay at if you find yourself needing a place in Cedar City, which is a modest town. It's located just off the freeway and on the main street that will quickly take you anywhere in town you need to go. It's located close to a plethora of restaurants and fast food places but they also have their own bistro in the lobby. I was told that the food was actually very good and didn't taste like hotel food. They also have their small "market" with grab and go snacks. The lobby was very nice consisting of a bar and multiple couches and booths each with their own TV's. We came as part of a large group and we spent hours each night sitting in the courtyard around the electric glass fire pit which was nice. They have an indoor pool and large outdoor jacuzzi. The rooms were clean and nice, as is standard for Marriotts. The beds were extremely comfortable and cozy. The glaring negative was that they were understaffed. When we arrived to a sold out hotel, they put us in a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. During COVID you don't want to walk into a hotel room that someone else has been in. People in our group weren't able to get fresh towels because they had no clean ones available. They ran out of food at the bistro and closed early on Sunday night. A hotel such as this should be on top of those little important details, but if I find myself in town again I would not hesitate to stay here. read more

Another great experience at Courtyard. This is my first time here in Cedar City and a Courtyard has sorely been needed. Staff is top notch. The rooms were wonderfully laid out. The showers are awesome and I love the pass through. Micro and mini fridge plenty of outlets. They are all over the rooms, even on the lamp by the chair and there are at least 6 usb chargers. The Bistro was wonderful. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars ( and really should be 4.5 or 4.75 ) is the television monitor. We kept buffering when trying to watch my Amazon feed and there was also a black dot on the top of the screen. Not enough to disrupt viewing and I'm sure they would have replaced it if I asked, but it was a problem. Like I said. Very nit picky not like a major issue. Loved the stay. Loved the staff. This is a new location to southwestern Utah. The property has a contemporary look with bright colors. Textile designs are very fresh and reflect the rugged Zion landscape close by. The lobby and bistro have large open spaces for guests to gather as an alternative to staying in their room. There's even a little hidden lounge with comfortable chairs magazines and books to relax in. This hotel is doing pretty good overall for being newly open. They have been open about 4 months. The beds are comfortable and the decor is modern. They have a nice lobby downstairs that has bistro open for breakfast and for a happy hour type food and drinks at night. It is priced as you would expect at a hotel. The overall value for the hotel is good for Cedar and is what you would expect out of a Marriott. The location is close to a bunch of restaurants and fast food joints. They are all within walking distance. My only complaint is they need to get their housekeeping dialed in. The tile on the floors still have left over grout that looks kind of like dirt. They didn't really come to clean our room till 5P.M. at night and really only made our beds and took out the garbage. Given that they are new I would assume this would get better with time. New, comfy, clean and enjoyable! I've booked here twice and had a great experience during both stays. The hotel is conveniently located next to the 15 fwy and is easy to find. Parking was a piece of cake - spacious and plenty to choose from. I choose the king bed with breakfast (room rate). I liked my room - it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The linens, mattress and comforter were soft and cozy. I slept really well during my stays. The gym is adequately equipped with multiple treadmills, 2 ellipticals and 1 stationary bike. They also include some free weights, kettle balls and cable pulleys. The Bistro provides a small menu and limited operating hours. They have 2 options: sit down or take it to-go. I don't think they offer room service (which I don't mind). For breakfast, I chose the avocado toast, arugula salad, boiled eggs and an Americano coffee with soy milk (all included with my room rate). The food and coffee was good! I reminded the bistro employee that my room rate included my breakfast (to prevent an extra charge). Customer service was inconsistent. Some employees were more polished than others. The front desk staff member (I think his name is Micheal) was friendly, helpful and provided excellent customer service. My check-in and check-out experience was pleasant and quick. I would definitely stay here again! I've previously stayed at another major hotel chain in Cedar city and I think that the Courtyard Marriott is a better choice. read more

The staff was friendly but that's the best thing about it. The tub faucet was hard to turn on, the sink didn't drain well, the exhaust fan didn't work and the air conditioner was too loud. The worst part is being right by the freeway on ramp and not being able to sleep because of the noise. I used both ear plugs and both pillows to finally get a little sleep. Look no further! Brand new and worth every penny. Just know that it's a bistro restaurant for breakfast not an open continental. However when setting up group stays they set up a private breakfast for us in a meeting room included with our booking. The rooms are open and airy, all the brand new feels are in full force, including in the bathrooms. Great lobby seating and spots to work or eat breakfast. The bistro also makes lattes and has pastries. The farm fresh eggs are a plus! You can't go wrong here, I slept like a baby. read more

A lovely hotel, right off the I-15, in Cedar City. We arrived fairly late and the parking lot was packed. Our room reservation was upgraded to a king suite. It was a handicap room and it was huge. The sitting room had a love seat and chair, desk, TV, and wet bar. The bedroom had a king size bed, TV, and plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was unbelievable - separate tub and shower, two sinks and the longest counter top I have ever seen. We slept like babies, woke up and checked out. Even though we didn't use any of the amenities the hotel offers, I definitely would stay here again. Clean, quiet, and new - what more can a tired traveler want. read more

My company put me up here and I wish they wouldn't have. I can go to all the crap hotels in Utah, they still have their fitness rooms open, just yesterday in SLC I was running on a Hampton treadmill, so why does a town with a way lower population does this hotel close it's enormous fitness room? Not worth it in my opinion, and internet is slow too and I thought the Marriot was a step up, save the money and fo to BW, they will at least ley you use the amenities you pay for. Also they saw mask required but many people have not been, love how you can pick and choose what you enforce. So doesn't make sense that they have the fitness room closed unless they are too lazy to actually clean it. Update: the cop out I received at the front desk was they don't have enough employees to clean the fitness room. Wow, wondering how all the rooms for this place gets cleaned read more

After a long few days drive our GPS took us on some extended loop through a local single family home neighborhood. The homes were nice, but there was a faster route, you can see it from the road. This is one of our favorite hotel brands. The courtyard includes breakfast with no special fees. You can count on fresh coffee and a clean room. We actually stayed here a few years ago and everything is pretty much the same. It's an indoor pool, small but clean. The hot tub jets are extremely powerful so be careful. On the night that we stayed at this hotel (May 29, 2022) , 6-7 car windows were smashed in and items stolen in the middle of the night. In addition, a van was set on fire in the parking lot. The hotel had no cameras in that area of the parking lot and did not cover the cost of our smashed back window. Unfortunately due to covid the bistro and fitness room weren't open during my stay and they removed the coffee makers from all the rooms for sanitary reasons. But the pool was open and we had the whole area to ourselves which was pleasant. Very clean and tidy rooms, happy with overall stay. I would definitely recommend this location if your staying in cedar city. It has all the necessities like a fitness center, lounge seating and office center. They have a bistro located in the lobby and it's open till 10pm. There is an outdoor shopping complex across the free way that has many food options too. Plus is they have free parking!! Warning- do not stay here-- I stayed here a few weeks ago and I'm still upset about my stay. As a Platinum Elite I arrived to a room that was as follows. I came into the room and the white cover had a round coffee cup print on the white cover. I pulled back the covers and there was hair in the "clean" sheets. I was transferred to a different room. The front desk acted as if it was no big deal. I live half my life in hotels and it is a big deal to me. I got the room package that included breakfast. I asked the front desk girl if I needed a voucher and she said, no just order what you want and we'll know. After my stay I had charges for breakfast. I called the hotel to take the charges off and two weeks later they are still there. It's so time consuming trying to fix it!! Next time I work in Cedar I am staying at the St. George Courtyard which is amazing. read more
