Wow -- Not sure where to start... Let me say this, it would probably be an mediocre 1-Star Hotel. And if you have a 1-Star Hotel then just advertise it as a 2-Star Hotel, don't try to make it into something it is not. The first thing I noticed is the dirt on the floor of the elevator in the corner. It would have been so simple to clean but looks like it has been that way for a very long time. The second thing I noticed is all the stains in the carpet. They are filthy and need to be replaced. The third thing I noticed is the stains on the dresser drawers. What is that stuff anyway. They need to be thrown away. The forth thing I noticed is the town lamp shade. Just toss it already, why on earth do they keep it. The fifth thing I noticed is the other lamp they have looks like it was used as a hammer at some point in its existence, it is dented beyond belief. The sixth thing I noticed is the broken drawer in the bathroom. Why would they even rent this room out looking like this? The seventh thing I noticed is the dirt and grime in the corner of the bathroom floor. So disgusting, when was the last time they did a deep clean? The eighth thing I noticed is all the grout between the tiles is gone. It should have been redone many years ago. All I could think of was how much bacteria is in there and bugs coming up from between the tiles. The ninth thing that I noticed is the micro shampoo and conditioner bottles. My wife uses more that that for one wash and this was suppose to last three people for three days. Why not just mount large refillable bottles to the wall like everyone else. The tenth thing I noticed is there is no hot water. No matter how long you let it run it gets luke-warm at best. I was freezing and miserable. The third day decided to just skip the shower. When passing through the lobby I noticed a woman also complaining about there being no hot water. How they stay open, and better yet how to they carry the Best Western name is beyond me. There were mixed reviews of this hotel but I balanced the good with the bad. Made my reservation last minute for one night. The front desk clerk was very friendly and even gave me a couple ideas for good places to eat that are close. The room was clean and everything worked fine. Of course I always check the sheets - no surprises and clean sheets. Even the breakfast was on point. Love those hotel waffle makers. I would book here again. read more

#1. This hotel is pet friendly. They charge a small fee, non-refundable, but reasonable. They are also supportive of the Military, offering military discount. The rooms are decorated nicely and are quite comfortable. Rooms had a microwave coffee pot and small refrigerator. The bathroom was spacious and well stocked with towels and Toiletries. A continental breakfast is served every morning. Don't forget to make a waffle! Overall, for the money, it was a very nice stay. read more

When we demanded they give us the room keys they called the police and had us escorted from the property. This is the night before the eclipse and they can now rent the rooms for $1,000 a night instead of the $91 a night we paid 10 months ago. Talk about a bunch of con artists trying to scam people. Metal rack on cart broken. Unfortunately it doesn't come out until luggage is on cart. I just had neck surgery a few months prior so I couldn't lift the ice chest, luggage we brought. The nastiness on the carpet after many months of not vacuuming in the sides (I didn't see any vacuums on the housekeeping wagons) is much worse in person. I'm not sure if we just had a bad room, as I'm seeing other great reviews (why I booked it). But sleeping within a few feet of that was not really happening. read more

My husband was sleeping and said a roach crawled on his pillow to his face. He doesn't recommend this place and couldn't sleep after.

Breakfast was a complete let down. Powdered eggs . Soggy Tortilla, chorizo, and potatoes. Mexican testurants all around. Next morning went to Mothers daughters for breakfast (highly recommended). Room was not clean. Stuff on the walls, the surface of the doors, around the bathroom sink. No where to hang towels in bathroom. Lighting left a lot to be desired. No room service for stay overs due to the fact that there were "15 check outs." Room was way old, cracked floors. Furniture needed to be thrown out in horrible condition. Hair in my sheets. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because the staff was very friendly and tried to be accomodating. I ever seen a smaller T.V., sound was awful, and no cable. No ppay-per-view, No HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ , DISNEY...Nothing! Very disappointed. read more

When we walked in the receptionist was on a personal phone call making us wait until she finished her conversation on the company's phone. How do I know it was personal? "Boo, I gotta let ya go I'll call ya back when they are gone. Love you." She was nice after she hung up, but lacked a professional attire. The breakfast was decent and the cook was the nicest one we encountered in our 4 night stay. The kitchen somehow always seemed to be out of silverware though. The rooms, I'm very unsure if they are ever cleaned. The second floor reeks of a horrible odor, luckily it doesn't seep into your room. The walls you can hear everything! Every footstep in the hall is loud! We found someone else's jacket behind a chair in our bedroom on day 3...the day we requested our room to be cleaned, but it didn't appear clean only beds made up and a replenishment of towels. Please see the pics of the floor and desk in our room regarding cleanliness on day 1. Regarding the jacket found in our room, the lady at the desk brushed it off and said, "oh the last people probably left it or the cleaning lady took it off." It was found under a chair in the corner of the room so we hadn't noticed until we moved the chair from against the wall up to the desk the 3rd night because we needed 2 chairs at the desk. Just makes me wonder if the rooms really get cleaned. We tried changing to the holiday inn next door on day one, but unfortunately they were full. Now I know why. read more

I had a reservation and he said he couldn't find it after I showed him time after time and then he offered another room but he wanted me to pay again. okay by my choice I decide to stay here for 2 days normally I haven't done a hotel review in ages I would rate a hotel on a four star system in a way which I call Excellent, Good Fair, and Poor.. this one is only getting 3:-) I did not find anything poor here contrary to some of these reviews but I shall break it down.. First impressions: it's an older Hotel about 10 years I don't know if it was originally built as a Best Western or not it's called the Christopher in located in Forney Texas..easy to see from the freeway a little tricky to get in it's a very nice looking Hotel the grounds are kept up very nicely the pool with its little outdoor waterfall no indoor pool here and the entrance way is really nice. checking in was nice I'd had made reservations with the hotel itself came in I told him I reserved a room in my name for 2 days Saturday and Sunday with a late check-out Monday of 12:30 and I wanted the suite with the king size bed and the sofa no problem at all got my room number was 213 very nice room. walking back in nice thing like a lot of hotels that are quality hotels they pre-cool the rooms and leave them pre-cooled there's nothing like going to some cheap-ass hotel when it's a thousand degrees outside and you walk into a room that's 5000 degrees turn on the damn air conditioner go see a movie or go eat go to the bar and wait about six hours why the damn thing cools down which is why I don't mind paying a little extra walking in I was very impressed with the size of the suite Hotel ambience: what you find here is a very heavily trafficked area forney Texas is basically a part of the end of the Eastern Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is they call it.. it's it's right off of US Highway 80 which it brings traffic between Dallas and Terrell Texas especially with GPS is in very heavy volume..the hotel does not offer views per say of where you're going to relax in peace and quiet it's very noisy around there but if you don't mind that the convenience is great walk outside the front door you got a Chicken Express a waffle House at Taco Bell and McDonald's in the Subway within feet of you.. but the real is very impressive nice looking bathroom glass enclosed shower even had a little concrete block where you could sit if you need to for those that know bathtub.. flat screen TV nice kitchen area built up into a nice little Hutch with a sink fridge microwave nice working space tables great king size bed... elevator free laundry on the second floor to customers supply your own detergent..the hotel breakfast you were actually really good the eggs they use don't taste like instant they have fresh meat everyday when I was there they had sausage links and patties they got the waffle machine and the next day they had Mexican chorizo with eggs and tortilla shells.... the stay: it was very nice day I would stay here again the air conditioner was fantastic individually controlled off of the wall but it kept the room very very comfortable the fridge work great did not over freeze or anything the showers fantastic and I'll be damned if that hot water didn't stay hot the whole 25-minute either it was rocking.. A. excellent: shower space water pressure, king size bed mattress comfort, cleanliness, the refrigerator keeping temperature properly, easiness to the breakfast room breakfast selections, availability of eating places in walking distance also just behind the little many business area is an applebees too. B. Good: free guest laundry ice machines on each floor coffee always brewed fresh every couple hours, cleanliness of the hotel everything pretty much wiped down I did find one bottle cap behind the end table but no big deal. Fair: one thing to know about this place it's 10 years old in the walls are thin you can definitely hear people making noise in the Hall you can sometimes hear the TV next door in the next room..also there's a club behind so when closing time comes if you're facing the waffle House and Taco Bell you're going to hear the thumping music in the noise it doesn't bother me this is not a place where you going to have quiet this is more like a place where if you're working in Dallas and you want to place close by or if you don't really give a damn about that and just want a nice hotel for the most part. the TV was not impressive at all it was tinny sound and mono they don't have the controls to where you could set up a put a little bit of bass or treble or anyting and what it was spits out as just a factory speaker in the channels selections are not the greatest unless you like HBO they have quite a few of those but if you want the regular stuff A lot of times they have little fuzzy pictures and stuff I found with NBC trying to watch the British open and along with a couple other channels kind of snowy looking USA was struggling it's not high definition. excellent value though two hundred bucks for two days read more

We stayed there in July. Nothing special, a little overpriced and the room was dirty but we were road weary and needed a place to stay. Fast forward over FIVE months later and I have a charge from this place... five. months. later! They took FIVE months to charge me. I see this random charge and of course I think fraud since I haven't been anywhere near this place in months. I contact my credit card company, go through all that pain, have to redo all my bills and everything. The very next day I get an email, the bill, after they had already charged me... FIVE MONTHS LATE! Terrible business and I highly suggest you seek lodging elsewhere unless you want a dirty room that smells like a buttcrack and to be billed super late. read more

The inn and suites are beautifully decorated. With warm undertones. The hotel staff are friendly and professional and provide exceptional service. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The eggs are freshly made. This buffet included. Eggs both scrambled and fried, bacon, potatoes, flour tortillas, sausage patties, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, pastries, condiments, and fruit. The beverages included juices, milk, water, tea, hot cocoa, and coffee. Our room is well decorated and inviting. It makes a nice home away from home. First the AC didn't cool; within the hour of checking in we had to have maintenance come check and refresh the thermostat. Still didn't work. Maintenance man Kenny was nice and willing to help but he was leaving for the day when we arrived on Saturday. No maintenance staff on duty Sunday :-( Second, we were awakened by a third party in our bed at 2am....a disgusting BUG in the BED! (Pics) The grossest thing everrr. I stayed here for 4 nights due to some renovations at my residency. James, Kathy, and Christie worked separate shifts, yet communicated with one another to ensure my needs and special requests were met. The housekeeping checked on me every morning and greeted me with fresh towels. They had a small shop that stayed stocked with hygiene and various snacks and James even personally purchased a sprite for me my first night. I would highly recommend 10 times out of 10. read more

I booked this hotel over the phone via the reservation line. I requested a pet friendly room and was told I was good to go. I called the hotel the day before my arrival date to confirm my reservation status. The front desk said I was NOT in a pet friendly room. He then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't change my room, I would have to wait for a manager to call me back. The manager called me back a few hours later, down-graded my room and tried to charge me the same price. After some negation, I was given the lesser price. When I arrived, everything was fine. The room was clean and sufficient. Oh and their pet policy is that you can't leave your pet in the room alone ever. Not even in a cage. So how are you supposed to go to dinner? Or a movie? Or anything to unwind? You can't leave the pet in the car, it's too hot. So I guess you are supposed to just stay in your room the entire time? Definitely wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it if you have a pet. read more

Whenever we are up visiting my brother this is our go to place to spend the night. I'm not sure if the PLUS means this is a nicer Best Western than your average one but if it's not it should be. This Best Western is always very clean and the service is always great! The biggest PLUS for us is they let dogs stay for an additional $10 fee. This is a great deal! Sadie gives this 2 paws up! They have a really good continental breakfast too. Love those Texas shaped waffles. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. I do reviews because I use them to decide where to go. The room was not cleaned very well and definitely not clean up to the new covid standards. After driving a very long time and just passing through I am not about to switch rooms to go to another dirty room because if the room you originally gave me is dirty the next one will probably be dirty as well. I did inform the front desk guy which was extremely nice and professional. I am sorry I do not remember his name. We stayed there on the 29th of October. The room did not smell clean when we entered. The fabric shower curtain was stained, the mirrors looked like they were not wiped down and had spots on them, there was old food left in the refrigerator, droppings on the floors that were not mopped and everything else was dusty. After seeing other reviews with cockroaches, I am just extremely grossed out. I will not stay there again. read more

Sometimes you just have to travel on business, until you win the lottery. While I was in TX I heard that someone in Illinois was one of the winner of the 640 million. I thought perhaps this would be my last business trip. Then I checked my tickets. I repeat, sometimes you just have to travel on business. I spent 3 nights here this week and was surprised what a nice hotel it is. I had a suite with a very comfortable bed, good shower and decent breakfast. My company used its conferences rooms and catering and everything was very smooth and organized. If you have to travel to this area, check out this hotel. Whenever I visit Forney this is my go-to hotel. Every time I stay here I am pleased with my stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will answer any and all questions you may have. The rooms are up to date, fresh, and clean. They are well appointed. They are far nicer than I thought they would be based upon the price. This hotel is a great value for the money. The morning breakfast is tasty and free. There are waffles, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. It all tastes good and yet again is better than one would expect from a free buffet. I do not often have occasion to stay in Forney, but when I do, I know I'll be staying here. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been here before multiple times.. It's seems as if the quality of this hotel is going down the older it gets.. I'm on second floor and I keep hearing this annoying clicking noise outside.. Wifi sucks I dunno why but it's terrible.. Looks like someone tried to pry or kick in my door in the past.. I smelled smoke for the first two days not sure if it was from the hallway but it went away... Breakfast is mediocre.. Hampton inn is much better in that respect.. First thing I want to compliment the hotel on is the party/event space. I have attended a graduation party and sweet sixteen for a average of 40 people. The large party room is basic but nice and I heard it was quite affordable. I snooped around and thought the meeting rooms were very nice. I was impressed by the rooms as well. the king suite features a really plush sectional sofa and fancy coffee table. The decor was very modern and dark. I wish I lived further than 15 minutes away so I could have a reason to stay here. I highly recommend this hotel for parties and overnight stays read more

I've just been using Best Western's great lobby and meeting areas for training for my job. For the location, I was very surprised how nice this hotel is. I asked the front desk lady and she said this year makes their fifth year of being open. I haven't stayed here over night, but if I needed to be in this area I would definitely have a go. Their lobby is nice and big, with a few comfy chairs. The meeting room is very open, I'm assuming it doubles as the breakfast room, and there is coffee and tea all day. The bathrooms are nice, which I'm fond of. There are a few other meeting rooms as well, which I am sure are just as nice. If you are ever in the area this is probably the nicest place to stay. read more

Stayed here May 9-12th while visiting family. Overall, I was satisfied and will stay again. The only thing that really sucked is the maids were very sloppy. The first day our room didn't get cleaned, The second day it was cleaned but none of our towels were replaced. The worst stay I recently had a 2 night stay at this hotel. The first night no sleep as there was a party going on on the floor I was staying on, people coming and going pretty much all through the night, shouting in the corridors, slamming doors, radios blaring. A complaint was put to the front desk but it clearly didn't make any difference. The second night again no sleep, a very amorous couple kept the whole floor up the whole night, I went to the front desk twice to ask them to call the room and request they keep the noise down, this made no difference so I knocked on the guest door and was yelled and cursed at which I really didn't appreciate. My young daughter was with me and was very upset and scared, especially as this was her second night with very little sleep. Very poor quality hotel. Bathroom unclean as well. We stayed here three nights ago and loved it! We wanted a Best Western (Plus) along the I30 since we were heading west, but none accepted pets or wanted an outrageous room rate (Abilene). We knew they'd have a good breakfast buffet (they did!) from staying at so many other Best Western (Plus)s. This was appealing to us since we'd be traveling and wanted a good breakfast. So, we drove a little out of the way to stay here and we're really glad we did. My husband dealt with the staff, so I can't report to their friendliness, but they did give little baggies of dog bones, chews, and clean-up bags. This was a big plus. We were up on the third floor and it was pretty quiet. Unfortunately we were only staying here for one night, but we'd gladly have stayed longer. read more
