Came here for business trip. Stayed for 14 days. Coworkers recommended this location as it sits in Downtown Dallas. The hotel is nice, however outside the hotel it's not nice. There's lots of homeless people outside and not safe in my opinion. Just beware when booking. There wasn't many highly rated restaurants near Omni hotel, had to drive to places. They also host lots of events outside the hotel on their lawn. Hotel is nice. Staffs are super polite and trained. Everything is clean and super decorative. Hotel has restaurants on the first floor, they have small pool, small gym, and spa which you have to pay for. I stayed for two weeks and needed my clothes washed. The hotel does have a service where they send it out to get it washed. But it was insanely expensive. To wash a shirt was around $10. It would have cost me like $150-$200 for a week worth of clothes. I drove 20 min to the nearest coin laundry and spent couple dollars. Would love to see coin laundry in the hotel. Gym: The gym has dumbbells that only go up to 75lb. No barbells. The machine to do back, arms, etc were uncomfortable to use. Pool: Pool is on the same floor as the gym. Can see downtown Dallas. I think it's infinity pool(?) but it's pointing to the hotel building rather than facing downtown Dallas. Room: Room was super nice. The A/C is amazing, works very well. As soon as I got back to room, I set room to 62F. Then to 68F when i got cold. I stayed for 14 days and found out on my last day that there's a fridge hidden in the cabinet. I was super upset about that. The soaps, shampoo, etc are nice. The staff gives you new set even if you are using them and not empty. Price: My rate was $170 through business portal. So probably cheaper. For 14 days (13 nights), I paid little over $3000 due to various taxes and parking your rental car is like $30(?) a day. Really nice hotel, fast elevators, has gym/spa, near freeway and in Downtown Dallas. I just didn't like the environment as soon as you leave the hotel, feels unsafe. read more

The Omni hotel really presented well upon check in. They had a long line to check in; but afterwards there was an area with an ice cream station. Yes, let's get a little dessert to welcome us to the hotel! Loved it! The room was nice and the bed was comfy. But their pillows are so ridiculous. Their pillows are extremely high and I felt like my neck was going to snap off at a 90degree angle while sleeping. I even opted to sleep without a pillow most of the night. It was extremely loud at night. At one point around 1:30am one of our neighbors had someone at their door yelling and banging on their door " junior!!!!!! Junior!!!!!!!!!" Over and over while bang bang banging. This went on for a long time. Sleep was not had at this hotel. On the website I booked through it said there was free WiFi, but paid internet if you need to hook up your computer or something. It's not free. When you look closely after checking in on the WiFi acceptance website, it says in some areas...... I'm not paying $10 a night for WiFi. I just used my phones data. The room was also not clean. Beside our bed was a pile of chip crumbs. We did have a good view from our room, though that was the only thing that was really good about our room. read more

I really wanted to rate them higher, but it's just not a hotel for me. The front desk staff is wonderful. The person who checked me in was super friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is clean and nice. The room as well was clean and had everything you'd need, including plenty of hangers. Most hotels only have a few in the closet and it's nice to go somewhere that isn't skimping on the simple things. Where things fell flat for me were in the beds and the coffee shop. I like a soft, comfy bed. Omni hotels in general I find have the hardest beds around. This one, sadly, was no exception. Like sleeping on a thin yoga mat on concrete. Then there is the coffee shop. Now this girl neeeeds her morning espresso drink. I opted for a macchiato. I got the sense that not many people order hot drinks there, because they asked me multiple times if I wanted it hot. And then it wasn't. Lukewarm maybe, but not hot. So the next day I asked for extra hot. Nope. Still barely warm. Same for my oatmeal. They asked if I wanted hot water in it. Well, yeah? Nope. Warm. If you've ever tried cooking oatmeal in water that isn't hot, you know how gross it ends up being. Everything else though was good. Even the conference food... very tasty. If you see a chicken salad sandwich here, get it. They're really yummy! read more

We had a huge family gathering and a lot of out of town guests who decided to stay at the Omni. We had planned a private event and had been given the impression we would be put in a separate room for dinner. Upon arrival there was no room for our event that included dinner and drinks. Some of the staff seemed completely clueless while others frantically ran around trying to fix it. We ended up being fed, but it was clear they either had forgotten about our event or had promised more than they could do. We had paid a good chunk upfront and was later reimbursed half. We won't be recommending the Omni. It's a nice hotel though read more

I traveled to Dallas for a work trip and I wish I could have stayed here for more than one night. I got in late and the front PM desk clerk, Valerie and valet, Mohammed were so kind and great getting me checked in and taken care of! You receive a free drink ticket upon check-in and it's good for coffee/tea or house wine/beer. I got a nice city view room on the 17th floor and absolutely loved it. Waking with the sun and seeing the city wake up was a great start to the week. I took a stroll around the pool and even peeked in at the gym - they both look over the city. Everything was clean and felt luxury. I went down to the coffee shop for a breakfast sandwich and a white chocolate pistachio latte. Both were delicious. I even wandered through the attached market and it was super cute. Lots of modern items and I purchased sunscreen while I was there. There was some confusion when I went to check out at the market as no one was behind the counter. I asked the fella restocking the coffee items who I should check out with and he seemed a little busy but got the barista's attention for me. I opted for the late checkout since I arrived late. I went to the pool in the afternoon, got my free drink and enjoyed the water and sunshine. Unfortunately, late checkout became a problem when my room card stopped working before 1 and I could not access the elevator to my room before checkout. The AM front desk attendant was able to help me out but only after a short wait. I felt bad because there are signs about a no swimsuit dress code in the lobby and I was wet from the pool waiting for 10 minutes. It seemed like there were other workers just standing around by the front doors. Overall, I would absolutely return to this location and I will make booking with OMNI hotels one of the top choices on my list in the future. read more

The only reason this hotel is getting 2 stars is because of the incredible service from the front desk agents, and the Mokara spa experience. If it weren't for them, it would be a one star unless yelp decides to start allowing negative star reviews. The lobby is beautiful and spacious, and the spa was fabulous, which would lead you to believe that for $500 per night, the rooms would be just as good right? WRONG. The first room we checked in to had scuffs all over the walls, dust everywhere, and the toiletries had clearly been used. No problem, sometimes housekeeping misses a room in a massive complex like this. We go down to get a different room and we're "upgraded" to a premier room for the inconvenience. This was a very nice gesture, however it got so much worse. The second room was disgusting. Stains on the beds including mystery fluids and what looked like bed bug droppings, a badly repaired wall, and even more dust. I was NOT staying to investigate to see if actual bugs accompanied the stains. When we went to ask for our money back to go to a different hotel, I showed the front desk agent the photos I took, and she was horrified as well. At that moment, a loud racist woman started yelling about how she can't be treated this way because "I'm a white woman who goes to church" and accusing housekeeping of stealing her hotel room key. read more

The staff is wonderful, they are helpful and I love that the people at the front desk ask what floor you'd like to be at. Booking a room with a view is the best way to go! You do have to pay for parking, whether you're parking yourself or using valet. Self parking is $30 overnight and valet is $40 overnight, a day. Valet can be a little slow only cause they get jam packed. And I love that there is a lot of food places near by that you can just walk to. Would definitely book here again. read more

The wife and I will staycation here on occasion. Love the service and the location is great for getting around town quickly. The rooftop pool is the crown jewel of the hotel. Very well kept. Clean and staff is attentive. Drinks from the rooftop bar are solid as well. The rooms are great. Nice views of the city depending on where you end up. The staff was very amenable and helpful with what was happening the weekend we stayed. We had a small room cleaning issue. No big deal. I was in Dallas for business that coincided with a cowboys/texans MNF game, yikes. However the parking and check in was breezy. I chose the Omni because it was walking distance from where I needed to be the following morning AND because it overlooks my Carrie Bradshaw era downtown condo when I lived there. The attendant changed my room to allow my view to face that condo (my heart has struggled to move back). I needed confirmation that ship had sailed. Immediately I was given beverage vouchers, nice touch because I needed a coffee (I do not drink alcohol but live for coffee). The baristas in the hotel made the best one I'd had in a long time. Everyone was great and the rooms are nice/clean with a tv in the bathroom mirror. I normally like the newest greatest hotel and the highest floor and never stayed at the Omni because it was my view when I lived there. I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusive credit for dining and the restaurants in the quadrangle where this could be applied. Everyone was so helpful in providing directions since I've been away for a while and there's construction. Walked my whole old neighborhood and decided ultimately I'm a Dallas gal in Houston now. However, the highlight is that there's a Bob's Steak and Chop house at this location (I reference them as the standard for most my reviews). Ultimately we ate a lot of everything, I visited the library, my son worked out in the gym and we took cool photos. Visiting your own city should be this good. Reminded me of the Moran Houston which I love in citycentre. We stayed 2 days and late checkout was a courtesy they obliged. I finished my business and my son loved the stay. Their staff is amazing. Short one star because the rooms are smaller than I prefer and some restaurants were not open. But not Omni's fault on the latter. read more

Omni Dallas Hotel has an Ice slating rink temporarily located in front of the hotel. We arrived around 6pm, I wanted them to experience ice skating at night , the Christmas lights and lights from the surrounding buildings just adds to the dark sky and moon, simply enhances the atmosphere. However , I did not want to get there so late and so crowded. Needless to say, it was crowed the entire time. It was an amazing things to see and experience. 99% of the skaters did not know how to skate, walk let alone stand on ice . 75% of us fell and slide on the ice. It was amazing seeing so many different types of people interacting with each other. People were failing and strangers helping them up, everybody having fun and not being embarrassed that they had no idea what they were doing . We even had a little girl skate up to us and introduce herself and make small talk. It was a little pricey in my opinion, we paid close to $80 for 3 people. We enjoyed ourselves and skated about an hour , before we left to see what the 4 surrounding restaurants had to offer . With the skating rink being just steps away from all of the restaurants, it goes without saying that they were all either packed with people or way too expensive for just a bite after skating . So we decided to leave and eat else where. Parking was very convenient and had plenty of parking spots in well lit areas, which was important to me because it was just me and two youngest daughters. We parked literally across the street from the Omni hotel , paid $18 for 24 hours. Only thing I wasn't so pleased with outside of the price, was the size of the skating rink. There wasn't enough space for the amount of people that was in the rink at that one time to skate comfortably/ safely. Majority of the falls were due to not being able to move around each other. Overall we had a great time , and I hope many others get the opportunity to check this ice skating rink out while it's still available. read more

Hotel is beautiful BUT I would likely not reccomend this hotel on the weekends if you have family. People were smoking weed right ioutside the front doors, people got off the elevator smelling like they smoked out their room, & the people next to our room were up all night partying with what sounded like a porno through the walls. I have multiple sclerosis & already don't sleep well on the road so it was a long brutal night that they didn't even stop when I banged on the door & called the staff. I had my son with me too & iits like this is definitely NOT for family's. Which is a huge let down with how much your paying already just to have a similar experience of a cheap hotel. read more

Beautiful hotel with clean and well maintained rooms. I was here for a convention. The Omni seems to be committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence as the convention rooms were set up nicely, the snack area during break time had a nice assortment of goodies and the restrooms were immaculately maintained. The people working security detail were very professional as well. The Omni offered decent restaurants inside and outside on South Lamar Street. I dined at the Texas Spice, Bob's steak and chop house, hops and hens and Morsels. The food quality was superb and I will review the restaurant's separately and not here. Some Pros and Cons: PROS: 1. Spacious and clean room. 2. Large LED TV 3. Rotary knobs on lamps to control the brightness 4. HVAC easily maintains temperature. 5. Mini Fridge and safe 6. Coffee machine 7. Gym is 24/7 8. Elevators require your key card to activate. 9. 2 bottles of water complimentary in room at check in CONS: 1. Water pressure is weak. 2. Takes forever for hot water to turn hot, never really gets hot enough 3. Gym water cooler was out of water, 2 days in a row 4. Fee to use wifi. but free when you become an omni member 5. No vending machines on the room floor for snacks, only ice machines. 6. During convention the snacks were gratis, but coffee was $5 a cup. 7. We only stayed one night for a quick getaway but the room was excellent. Loved the view. The bed was comfortable and plenty of space through the room. The hotel was so busy due to a convention or event or maybe just being the weekend. The elevators were always crammed and there were so many ppl in the lobby for checkin. One of the coolest places to stay if you are doing one of the runs downtown or staying for an event (busses to arenas and local stadiums). I live in Dallas and was participating in a run. It was raining cats and dogs (more like horses and cows) which made staying so close that much better! Well worth staying the night before! Besides having fantastic views at night, there are many short walk places to eat near by or inside. Parking garage is integrated with the hotel. It is VERY easy to find at night! The staff is absolutely 5 stars, the accommodations is also 5 star. It is beginning to show some age, but still very well maintained! Treat yourself royally and stay here! read more

I very much enjoyed the bar staff here. They were gems. I go to OMNI often, and all around the country. This is my third time being back to this location. This is why I gave 3 stars: I got into my room very late, when I woke up in the morning my face was on bare mattress. Obviously, terrifying, right? At first, I thought: 'Oh the fitted sheet must'be slipped off.' NOPE! WRONG. They just put a regular sheet on the mattress... The next morning I told the front desk, and they were like, "Oh why didn't you say anything last night!?" I explained that the sheet was down and I got to bed late. The next response was, "Oh well you should have called first thing in the morning. Sometimes we just have to ask these questions, because people will make up stuff." I told him, I can certainly show him a video. That was a rude response. Disappointed that the gentleman didn't immediately attempt to console or sooth. Unfortunate. He also made sure to let me know that my account will have a note in it... and it was said in such a way that I feel like it may be a bad note for me to have... like I got punished for their mishap. I feel too guilty giving a lower star, but idt I feel welcome to stay anymore... I'm staying one more night in this City because of the storming... if that wouldn't have happened I would have gone back there. I'm instead taking myself to a competitor. Gorgeous hotel all the way around. From the rooms to the service, from the spa to the lobby lounge. On pointe! I was there for a yoga conference nearby and used my airline points to cover my room. The hotel room was clean. The vibes of the hotel are just not what they used to be. I used to consider this an "uppidy" hotel but for the price, it isn't anymore. Guest attire didn't align with the upscale nature of the hotel. I ordered chicken tenders to the room and tipped $5. That's a decent tip considering they only cost $12. They mistook it for a $505 dollar TIP!! That amount of money could make or break someone. Really disappointed with this stay and will not be returning. read more

More consideration to customer service should be applied . I was attempting to book 3 nights at the Omni Dallas Hotel June 1-4 with my Ax Ex Platinum Card it ended up booking 2 nights instead I received my benefits no problem. However when I discovered the error in the dates and added the 3rd night the Hotel Manager Kayla Wilson refused to recognize my benefit . I called Am Exp and they understood the situation and volunteered to call the Omni directly to explain and request their assistance in honoring the benefit they were given a hard NO by Kayla Wilson the front desk manager also because the night was treated as a single night and not a double without any admission to the 2 nights we already stayed. This is not the normal treatment I've received in the past from Omni which is why it's so disappointing lets hope someone make amends. read more

My wife and I took our granddaughter to Dallas for a mini-vacation and stayed at the Omni. Valet parking was easy and efficient. I told the valet we would check in, drop off luggage and be back down to leave again so he told me he'd keep the car in the drop off area. Desk clerk was super nice and gave my granddaughter a welcome gift with a coloring book and apple juice in it. Room was great and well-appointed. The next day there was an issue with room service. Too long to explain but Steven in room service was able to resolve the problem much to our satisfaction. I probably would have lowered my rating because of the issue by a star but Steven totally saved the morning. Texted valet for the car and it was waiting at the door for us. (From August, 2023) So I got to stay here for the Metallica concert during the August weekend for 3 nights. Definitely one of the pricier hotels I've stayed at. But the amenities are quite nice with the clean bed, towels, workout room, and stunning rooftop pool. Only issue was the bathroom doorknob broke due to faulty screws so we couldn't close it all the way or you'd get stuck. Definitely an inconvenience. We let the front desk know but they could not get us another room. So we made do with the situation and reminded ourselves not to close the door all the way. I wouldn't mind staying here again but I'll probably settle for Marriott or Hyatt to get my points. read more

The Omni is a beautiful property, but my initial experience was unexpected--the toilet seat was loose upon arrival. Aside from that, the room was spacious, and the bed was comfortably firm with plenty of pillows for a good night's rest. Service met the standard you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. read more

Worst Food Poisoning Of My Life - Followed By Shocking Customer Service My business partner and I arrived before dinner on the Monday June 23rd. We had dinner in the hotel for an all-day summit on Tuesday June 23rd. On Tuesday I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel. In fact, I didn't even leave the hotel once from the time I arrived until the time I left for the airport in the evening. Right as I was leaving, I felt nauseas and was indeed ill. I headed to the airport never-the-less. I was sick again in the bathroom but thought I could probably just make it to my flight and get home (not my smartest move). I got onto the plane and was violently ill in the bathroom at which point the crew informed me I was not fit to fly, ad of course they were right. I booked one of the closest hotels to the airport and took the shuttle. By now I was well and truly sick. As I tried to check in, I was feeling faint and clearly didn't look that good. They handed me a trash bag, and I managed to sit on a wall inside the lobby before being very ill again. Realizing that I was now in poor shape and unable to look after myself I accepted the offer to call 911. As the amazing EMTs took control I stared to lose consciousness. They immediately raised my legs, popped in an IV and added a big shot of Zofran. At the ER they ran tests and concluded that I had a nasty bout of food poisoning. Like I mentioned, I had dinner, followed the next day by breakfast, lunch, and dinner, at the hotel. I was discharged and told that the poisoning had to run its course. It did. It was miserable for another 20 hours. The following evening, I managed to fly home. I was retching for two more days after that. It was not until Sunday, that I felt well enough to eat normally. I had received one of those standard customer satisfaction surveys in my email as a member of their loyalty group. I mentioned in it that I had the worst food poisoning. I didn't ask for compensation or even imply I was going to pursue that avenue. I was contacted by a member of the catering team who asked me to provide a receipt to prove I had eaten there. I explained I had eaten four meals consecutively and provided a copy of my hospital discharge notes. These clearly showed I had food poisoning. When he offered me a refund on the $97, I spent on the first night's dinner, having asked me to prove my story, I started to get a little insulted. I explained this was insulting as I would be incurring medical fees plus the extra night hotel, that would likely add up to a couple of thousand dollars. Again, I had not pursued this, but if you ask me how my stay was, then have me prove I ate there, then now you know it was a bad experience, you've opened a can of worms. I suggest he passes this on to hotel management. OH MY GOD! I'm contacted by a loss adjuster from the hotel's insurance company. We trade voicemails and eventually connect. The loss adjuster sounds more like a used car salesman from the 70's. He gets on the phone and starts a monologue telling me how he had "done his research he cannot accept liability because he hadn't heard from anyone else and, did I know that food poisoning could actually have happened before I arrived? Clearly, he had not read the part in my survey or other communication where I told him my business partner also had food poising. My business partner and I met at the hotel on Monday night having not seen each other in 10 days. The following day I received another email telling me I had not got food poisoning at the hotel and my claim was denied. I NEVER MADE A CLAIM!! These buffoons demonstrated as much quality in customer service as they did in meal preparation. BTW I never write negative reviews. In the case where I have insult added to injury, I feel this is a service announcement. Let me know if you have any questions. read more

I do not recommend Omni Dallas Hotel because I was racially profiled by their "loss prevention" officer, harassed, and ultimately arrested for criminal trespass despite being a paying guest with a confirmed reservation on November 15, 2024. I traveled from Maryland to represent a client in court. I fell asleep in a lobby chair while waiting for a friend, only to be awoken and told to go to my room. The same LP officer then followed me to the fifth floor after I had already told him I was a guest. I had gone to the wrong floor because it was my first time at the hotel. This was happening a few minutes shy of 3 a.m. Long story short, after walking back to the lobby with the LP officer and an off-duty officer, where they confirmed I was a guest, I was arrested by the off-duty police officer employed by the hotel because I asked for an apology from the loss prevention officer who profiled me, thinking I was not a guest. I became upset when he would not provide an apology and was condescending to me. I asked for a manager, only to find out that he was the manager. Then, I lost it and cussed him out and was "refused service" as a result. After my arrest, the hotel and off-duty police officer claimed I had checked out before my arrest to both the police and to my family, who called to inquire. I was detained for 16 hours under "suicide watch" as extra punishment, courtesy of the off-duty officer. The hotel withheld my belongings, which were in my room at the time they claimed I checked out, for ten days after my arrest. I finally received them as part of police evidence. Despite multiple requests, the hotel has refused to release surveillance footage or provide full documentation of my stay. I cannot in good conscience recommend an establishment whose actions reflect a complete disregard for guest rights, basic decency, and accountability to anyone, especially if you're Black. I'm pursuing the appropriate remedies in court, but I had to share my experience. The hotel threatened to sue me for defamation if I didn't stop saying I was arrested due to my race. This is the first and last time I will stay at an Omni. For the price and for being considered "luxury", I am beyond disappointed. I have had better service and stays at a holiday inn express. The elevators were broken the entire stay, randomly shutting down or not stopping on floors as they should. The wait time for an elevator could be 30+ minutes at any given time. The toiletries in the room were microscopic bottles that didn't have enough product for my spouse and myself to both use for more than one night. We stayed for 3 and they never got refilled, even after calling to ask. I was attending for a conference and stayed out of convenience, but next time there's an event at an Omni I'll choose to stay elsewhere and uber over after this experience. read more
