Because of our last wonderful experience, I booked this hotel again for helping my son move into his college dorm. Due to the college move in timing, all the hotels and AirBnB rates were very high. Best Western was still the best deal among all the options. However, as soon as we arrived, we realized that it was under sort of construction. Not sure what they were doing, but I saw they painting the exterior walls. Therefore all the windows were blocked, which was fine since we were busy with moving anyways. Maybe due to the hot weather, this time we got so many flies. The flies came into our room, the breakfast room, and everywhere you can think of. If there were only a few flies, it wouldn't bother us much, but there were quite a few. We didn't have this issue when we were there in April. One more issue was that the internet WiFi service sucked this time. We barely could get connected, so we basically had to use our data. It wasn't convenient. I did bring this up to the front desk at the time of check out. They told us that they were in the middle of changing the providers so hopefully the situation would improve once they complete the change. Other than flies and WiFi, I am satisfied with the service and the spacious room. The staff was still friendly as before. It was generally pleasant to stay in this hotel. read more

We were on our motorcycles and stopped in to rest. We got a room on the first floor, and that was a big mistake.. We were awake all night long the walls here are paper thin.. and the air conditioning sounds like a helicopter. Apparently it is college week and wine tasting.. so we got no sleep and paid $250 for our room. I have traveled a lot and have never stayed where they have an omelette bar included in the breakfast. Well done. Room was super clean and quiet. Absolutely horrible! This hotel is a health risk! Probably the next ground zero outbreak for Hauntavirus! There was a dead mouse in a trap deep under our bed! When I notified management they denied everything. I'm assuming she got rid of the mouse and then took pictures. The hot tub was ok until you turn the jets on then nothing but cold water came out and straight up. It was very wrong! Plus the creepy window ubove the pool area... Stay far away! Run! read more

This place is not a fancy hotel, by any means. But the staff are super cool, its in a great location, and the rooms are clean. The price is right for this place. If I was planning to hang out at the hotel a lot of my stay, I may be willing to pay double for another nearby hotel that is nicer. Clean hotel friendly but unenthusiastic service. I am titanium with Marriott Bonvoy and Diamond Select with BW Rewards. Last night I needed one night in Walla Walla and price difference was $47 and I'm just driving through stopping for dinner and sleep so I went with $133 instead of $180 option. Free breakfast and WiFi. Clean safe hotel. Problem is the bed. The mattress is low quality and worn out. I spoke with Sky upfront while I was getting singles to leave for housekeeping. She said that remodel is coming and they will turn the mattresses and maybe won't happen if I stay next time. Sorry but that is wrong answer. I was 9 pm check in at a full hotel. A reassuring response would be not all the rooms have new mattresses yet and you came late. Rm 129 has old mattress sorry. We will be replacing it soon. Thanks for being a Diamond Select member and here is a $30 management voucher or something like that. I know Marriott Springhill Suites is higher tier but I've stayed at Best Western hotels with good mattresses. The good was the coffee. Breakfast included was plentiful typical US low tier hotel fare and better than other best western breakfast I've had. However the mattress is important part of sleeping and that's why I don't choose a cheap motel. Unless I get the right answer as a response to this review, I recommend skipping this hotel. Many cheaper motels will have similar mattress. The linen, pillows, towels fridge, microwave are all good quality but .. have I mentioned the mattress yet? Turning the mattress... it will still suck. booked this hotel in advance to stay here for a single night in Walla Walla. Arrived at the hotel with everything booked and when I arrived at the front desk at around 11pm a man named Jason was working the front desk. He seemed jittery and odd to say the least. I proceeded to try and get my rooms and he fidgeted around on the computer for around 15 minutes. I was fine at that point but then he starts asking questions and doesn't seem like he's trying to get us out room keys or anything when we have a cranky child screaming in the background. I mentioned maybe we could get some room keys but he proceeded to make small talk and nothing was getting done. He finally figures out his fidgeting on the computer and says he needs to see the card I booked the room with (which I left at home in Spokane). He then tries to act like they won't value my reservation if I don't have the physical card on my person that's on file. I then take out my other credit card and tell him if that's the case I'll buy two fresh rooms on this card. Only then, does he relent and put this other card on file. We did end up getting a room but it put a really bad taste in my mouth. I think Jason is inept and should not work front desk/customer facing jobs. He's very unsettling, especially after a long car ride. I spoke to the manager in the morning and she was so accommodating and heard me out. The manager at this hotel is great, but Jason, you need to practice talking to people bud. read more

I booked this Best Western for a girls weekend in Walla Walla. It was all of our first time here, so we wanted to book something that was walking distance to everything. I am so glad we booked Best Western! It was conveniently located 4 blocks from the main drag of downtown where everything is. Great location: right across the street is a Circle K and cheap gas station. Also if you get hungry there is El Sombrero right across the street for Mexican food and margs! Not far is also a Safeway if you need groceries. The closest winery is Seven Hills (which turned out to be my favorite one!). We walked everywhere. Amenities: free cookies at 7 pm everyday. Free breakfast, and it was a pretty decent breakfast! Came with eggs, bacon, waffle maker, fruit, oatmeal, and continental. Vending machines on every floor. I booked through Priceline for what I thought was $125/night, but because we had 3 people staying that added an extra $10/night. Lame. Also the juice out of the juice machine tastes weird. But besides that we had a great stay. No complaints about the room, we had 2 queen beds, double sinks, and a stand up shower, no tub. I would book here again. read more

The rooms here are super spacious. They have a fridge, dresser, closest, fancy shower dispensers, and their beds are soooo comfy. It was super clean and I personally rate their breakfast a 15/10. I'm talking bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, English muffins, bagels, potatoes, gluten free and dairy free options, and stuff you can just grab and go. The only problem I had with the visit was my room key. I stayed for 4 days (3 nights) and like clockwork, near the end of the day my key would stop working. I visited the front desk probably 4-5 times to get it fixed. It's not like I put it next to my phone or did anything that would result in the key not working. Considering I kept it in my wallet and far away from my phone. The last time I went up to the front desk to get it fixed, the girl literally could not be more bothered about me needing to get my key fixed again. (Like I was any more happy with it) But as I was walking away she very loudly said "make sure you're not keeping it near your phone," in the most rude and annoyed tone. I could not possibly give this Walla Walla Best Western anything other than a superb review! I LOVED my time there! My room had everything I could possibly need (except a plug-in kettle - but I'm an Australian and of course we have strange tea requirements). The bed was very comfortable, with lovely white sheets and spread. I could lie in bed and watch the news, sipping my tea and looking out the window, The room was spacious with a separate bathroom that had a lovely full bath that could also convert to a shower. The bath products were excellent. The room's temperature was perfect in terms of adjustability - I could not have been more physically comfortable there. The corridor was quiet. The breakfast was substantial and delicious. The heated pool was superb. And the people who run the place (Dan and family, Cameron at night) and the people working at the desk and in house-cleaning - they all made me feel so welcome and as if they really enjoy what they do and provide. Rooms were clean. Covid rules in place. Lack of communication as far as the pool/hot tub goes. Had to reserve the pool for an hour which is fine. But when we go get the key to use the pool after a late dinner they gave our spot away because we were a "no show" at our given time. Even though our hour was not up. . Disappointing to say the least. They didn't explain that part when reserving. Was looking forward to a good soak in the hot tub. Also- hotel was definitely not booked. We had a mixed experience with Best Western! We arrived to a hotel wrapped for construction and were told we could expect roof construction starting at 7am daily. This was not an ideal experience and removed the ability to look out our window for the city view nor enjoy sleeping in for a holiday weekend visit. While the environment was not ideal, the staff was so kind and gracious and apologetic. Once the construction is complete I think this will be a perfectly fine stop for your wine weekend or college visit. read more

The staff was so friendly and super nice, the rooms were PERFECT for our weekend stay, the bed was super hard and comfy just like I like it, mini fridge, microwave, coffee, and POPCORN in room, excellent movies on every night, and... wait for it..... the FREE BREAKFAST WAS OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!!! If you come to Walla Walla ( which I wouldn't no offense), then save your money for a really nice wine country trip, and stay here instead of some fancy pants B&B. At this price point, there are many hotels with similar amenities for the traveller, but the one thing that this particular Best Western+ has is an excellent, attentive staff. It was the staff here that really made my recent trip to Walla Walla noteworthy. I'd offer my thanks in particular to Chastity: engaging and knowledgeable, Tammie: pleasant and easy on the eyes and a third employee that shall remain nameless- but she fixed this sleepy-head a hot breakfast after he slept in (again!). The front desk person was pleasant. Our room was on the main floor, but we heard no noise from adjacent rooms or upstairs. We had a queen bed (best sleep of the trip!) and sofa with desk/chair and bench for luggage. The sink outside the bathroom is always great. It was easy to walk into downtown from here where we enjoyed a flight of wines at Browne and a good dinner at a sidewalk table outside Yamas Greek Eatery. This hotel surprised me considering the outside look. It is a typical best western, nothing too fancy, but definitely not low quality. The mattresses are nice and even protected in covers to limit bed bugs. They have Direct TV cable with all the channels. There is a pool. My least favorite part of my room was the bathroom it just had a run down feel, but overall I enjoyed my stay. You can sometimes hear the noise of neighbors but I think that's most hotels. Their continental breakfast had many options including Vegan which is great considering I've never seen that even at 5 star places. I would definitely stay again. read more

Great full breakfast included canadian bacon, bacon, sausage, egg omelette a stuffed with cheese (REAL eggs unlike the Quality Inn down the street.) Waffles with your choice of syrup, nutella, fresh strawberries and whipped topping or fruit, yogurt, cereal, 5 types of juice, yummy coffee, plenty of pastries, biscuits and sausage gravy, hash browns... Need I say more? The bed... Okay. The sheets felt like sand paper and being your own pillow if you don't like lumps. There was a shower without a tub. The "green" soap and shampoo dispensers gross me out. Old man washes his hiney, uses same hand to pump more soap... Ew. There you have it... Let's all share butt germs. Bring your own soap or get more than you asked for? ha! But it was a very clean bathroom. The vanity was near the couch and bed area separate from the bathroom. We were on the end of the second floor and that was nice to be next to close parking rather than take the long hall to the elevator. We used the stairs and I liked that it was close to the exit. Have stayed at MANY Best Western Plus and I have to say I was extremely disappointed in our stay at this one. Let's start: Pros: Check in was easy Cookies at 7pm were a nice touch Breakfast selection was amazing Staff was extremely friendly and pleasant Cons: Extremely outdated and old furnishings and decor (more like motel 6, NOT BW Plus). The doors must weigh about 900 pounds. We could literally FEEL the next door neighbors door slam shut. It was rather annoying after hearing so many times. And I'm sure they could hear ours as well. The walls were very thin. We could hear people talking (in a normal tone) outside in the hallway). The bathroom was extremely small The bed was horrible. I'm no princess but it was not a very comfortable night sleep AT ALL. I expected a little nicer for what we paid... next time we will stay at the holiday inn express or comfort inn as they were more comparable in price and I know they have a nicer facility. It's a decent no frills hotel which includes a marginal breakfast. Our keycards repeatedly became demagnetized, which the staff told us was a known issue. The pool is tiny and the single elevator is overworked in this 3 story building. The main benefit is the location near the downtown. We'll try one of the newer hotels next trip. read more

I consider myself kind of a high-maintenence traveler. I am picky, my kids are picky & my husband needs a good nights' sleep. This hotel was awesome, clean, fresh, newish, and the staff was nice. THe pool was disappointingly cold the first day, but warm the next day...so we figured it was b/c the sun was shining on it in the morning & warmed it. The value was great! we rented a queen room that adjoined to a king suite. For 160 total. For a best western my expectations were exceeded. Walla walla was a nice surprise. Pushy pushy! The location and accommodations were fine, however since I couldn't find it on the door or on the key card holder, I didn't know if checkout was 11 or 12. We were a little slow and by 11:15 they were calling from the front desk and we said a "few more minutes", and then at 11:20 they started knocking at our door. When we answered, the girl coldly asked if we were "staying over". When we did check out a few moments later at the front desk, she refused to acknowledge my presence, obviously disgusted by my insolence. Spent 3 nights here while touring wine country with a group of 30. I'd definitely stay here again. We had a suite style room with a queen bed, desk, couch and coffee table. The bathroom had tub/shower and toilet with the sink and mirror in the main room. that makes getting 2 people ready at once much easier. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The downsides were the pillows and thin walls. Four small, lumpy pillows on the bed, so if you're picky about what u put your head on, consider bringing your own. Our room was on the second floor and we noticed a fair amount of foot noise above and in adjoining rooms, although we didn't hear much conversation through the walls. There is a very complete breakfast served with something for everyone, even gluten free muffins and granola from local bakery. Staff was attentive. This place was clean and quiet. Breakfast was well planned out and had a lot to choose from! Rates were fine, 110$ for a king room. The bed was not very comfortable, a little lumpy, but everyone has a different idea of comfort. There was no bathtub and just a stall shower with a shampoo/conditioner dispenser which was miserable to try to use. I came in to town unexpectedly or as family illness and was not sure how long I would stay. I spent the night before at the Holiday Inn Express but changed to this hotel due to a closer proximity to the hospital and if I had to do it over, I would have remained at the holiday inn :( I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying here, but I personally would seek out somewhere else. read more

Good place to stay, walls are thin- really thin. You knew what was happening in your neighbors room just from the sounds. We had a group of kids above us so lots to trampoline action, but quieted down at 10:00 so no issues. Pool is nice, and breakfast is good for a quick bite. The staff was / is the difference maker! The hotel seems to be your average Best Western. What is advertised as a "full breakfast" turns out to be the normal collection pre-made items with some fresh fruit tossed in. Add some low end frozen sausage patties, lower end slices of ham-like substance, adda "western omelette" that must have come out of a box (do they really sell them that way?) with a "tropical fruit cocktail"( spotted the #10 can sitting on the floor)and POOF! You have a FULL BREAKFAST! It was pretty lame. Skip that "omelette" unless you used to eat white school paste as a kid. In that case, you probably will find it tasty! The room was clean, but the bed is a little on the hard side. Check in was friendly and quick. If you are traveling on a budget, or on someone else's dime, it will work. I didnt even stay here my pregnant fiance needed a bathroom *ahem* urgently and we just went to the nearest hotel even though I was sure we were a good two blocks from the one I made reservations at. I usually dont leave reviews on here and ironically I didnt even stay here but Melissa at the front desk was so helpful, I had to take a moment(waiting for my lady) to praise her. The customer service she provided and the warm comfortable enviroment her personality created, cooly printing us directions to our destination. And her mom judgemental professionalism should be awarded. I'm sure if she decides to stay ar this business she will be running it soon. Stayed here late in June. The room is a good size and clean but definitely circa 1990. Pros - had all necessary amenities, bed was comfy, about 4 blocks to Main Street, large free breakfast, warm cookies at 7pm, very well priced. Cons - the elliptical in the gym was junk, overall the hotel lacks charm, no on sight lounge/restaurant. I'd stay there again. It was $80 cheaper than the Marriott and $180 cheaper than the Marcus Whitman (which does have a great lounge though crowd is 60+). read more

Being a Best Western Platinum member & have had many stays at different styled, cultured & in general diverse vibes of these hotels have never been disappointed with a room or quality of my stay. It easily could have mimicked a motel6 layout/size of a room for the prize of nearly $200 a night. BUT this one was my first VERY disappointing stay. My room, a queen sized bed looked like a FULL sIzed mattress that I had in college with 3 flat pillows. The sheets weren't fully tucked looked lazily prepared w outdated or just old duvet & furniture/decor being outdated as well, AC didn't work at all. I didn't expect a suite for having all the hotels booked coming in town for the Spring Release weekend literally last minute to attend the Tranche Winery event but didn't think we'd get that horrid of a room for THAT price & past great experience with BW. Overall SAVE ur money stay somewhere else if your staying in Walla Walla. read more

Had a great time in Walla Walla. It was 95 degrees outside, and my only complaint about the place was the pool - super-heated for our late-afternoon swim. I bet it was 105 in the pool area.
