Very nice newish property. The room was nice, spacious, and had a great shower and beds for two weary travelers. I had to make a Rez for the fitness room, so they take Covid very seriously. Special shout out to the two women who worked the breakfast bar. They worked hard to make sure the hot bar and cold drinks were perfect. read more

From the exterior, looks nice! They take pets. Bonus! The person that checked us in didn't mention anything about breakfast or wifi. Elevator was filthy Room was worn and bathroom was dirty Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Conversations, doors slamming, kids screaming, dogs barking. The entire time....Awesome! Fairly new hotel less than 2 miles from downtown. Staff are super friendly and kind to dogs, lovely decor and property. Indoor pool and spa are clean. Decent cardio in Gym with two treadmills, a bike, and an elliptical. We took our puppy to Marcy's cafe and were welcomed on the patio. They have happy hour on the weekend too! read more

This place needs more than a bit of work. Rooms are not as clean as they should be and the morning breakfast is horrible. There is no way the owner agrees with the quality of the breakfast being provided. It's an obvious attempt to cut corners and save on cost, but the quality is not acceptable. The eggs are rubber, the sausage is mushy, the boiled eggs are not the right color, and the hot water for the tea comes out light brown because the dispenser is being used at times for coffee. Just all around bad. The only reason I still gave this place a 2 star is because the guy at the front desk was very professional and the laundry room had good quality machines. I would love to give this place another chance, but respect your customers by thoroughly cleaning rooms and providing them quality breakfast. read more

I would give this zero stars if that were an option. We booked our room through hotels.com and planned to stay the weekend (2 nights). We checked in on 8/20/2021 around 6pm. The front desk agent was helpful and seemed to know customer service. She seemingly wanted to make our stay "as enjoyable as possible", or so she said. The check-in process went smoothly. We got to our room and noticed it was not the "Deluxe Executive King" room we booked. It did have a King, and was an accessible room. We paid nearly $600 (with tax) for two nights and this room was not like the room pictured. I called the front desk and explained the situation. She said that when booking through a third party, it's common that the customer hits "ADA Accessible" button as they're checking out. Essentially, she blamed us. When I explained that was not the case and that the room confirmation that was emailed to us showed the exact room type that we were booked for (with a guaranteed and non-refundable reservation) she said she couldn't switch our room and that they were completely full. She said she would have to call her general manager and ask her how this happened and that she would get back to me. A short time later, I proceeded to the front desk, phone in hand, to show her the guaranteed room reservation. There was nobody at the front desk. She appeared moments later and as I went to explain that I was coming down to show her the reservation type, she interrupted me and said, "I know. I have a call into my general manager to find out what happened. She can look in screens that I'm unable to look in." I said, "I do not see that knowing HOW this happened is going to benefit us in any way if you can't do anything about it". I then said, "Please ask your GM if we find another place to stay tonight if we can get a refund". She said that was one of the things she was already planning to ask her when she returned the call. I go back to the room and we wait. She calls a short time later and tells me that this happened because the third party over-booked the hotel and it bumped our reservation to the room we were currently in. I asked her if the room we were in was the "Deluxe Executive King". She said they were completely full and could not switch our room. I asked her the same question again. She danced around the answer as if she didn't want us to know that we were not in the room we reserved. I finally said, "I'm asking you if this is the Deluxe Executive King room, but I can't seem to get a clear answer". She finally said it was not, but that the differences were only slight differences. While they may see it that way, we see it differently. We booked the room for a romantic weekend getaway and the handicap accessible bars all over the bathroom made it look more like a sterile hospital room than a romantic getaway. In every interaction with this front desk agent, she interrupted me and talked over me, not allowing me to speak. She said the general manager said we could leave and if we left tonight, she'd authorize a full refund, but if we stayed, we'd have to pay the same price - WITHOUT A DISCOUNT - for the room we were in because it was "close to the same room we reserved with only minor differences". That's like going to a restaurant, ordering a steak, but getting a burger and the staff telling you, "even though it isn't the same thing, it's the same price because it's close to what you ordered". Unbelievable! We booked reservations at another hotel and left. I made sure to tell the front desk agent that the real clincher was the fact that the GM refused to make it right or compensate us for the difference in the room we ended up with versus the room we reserved in advance. It was her unwillingness to rectify it that got us. I told her to please convey to her GM that we won't be staying at La Quinta again and that they lost our business. We are currently still waiting for a refund... read more

This is a tough review. We had a great four night stay. The main reason was the hotel was extremely empty due to winter weather and we received a cheap rate through Priceline. However if the hotel were at a reasonable capacity, there are some issues: no sound proofing between rooms; you can hear the toilet flush in the rooms next to you; the coffee is horrible; the breakfast is the worst, and the place is a long walk from the downtown wine tasting area. One good thing is the beds are new and comfortable and the staff really nice. read more

I reserved a room. I got confirmation the reservation was guaranteed. When I arrived from out of town to check in, they said they did not have the room type I reserved. Nice hotel but ZERO recycling and everything at breakfast is plastic - forks knives, etc. cups are styrofoam. It's socially and environmentally irresponsible for business to produce this much plastic waste while consciously opting out of available local recycling programs - clearly this company has no regard for the environment. I called managment at 11PM, AFTER MUSIC BLARING ALL DAY, to see if they could call adjoining room and ask for them to quiet down since late night...people trying to sleep. Managment explained '''it was college grad...and they couldn't do anything about it!!! ''''That's just the way it is!' I explained all hotels have a quiet policy after certain time...either 10pm...or 11Pm. He said he'd try, but couldn't guarantee anything. Managenent appears to think graduation guests have the right to disrupt all other guests now matter loud noise level. My wife and I stay at this hotel when we come to town for our wine clubs. Not only is this place very clean, quiet and very nice. They have climate controlled wine lockers. Only because i could not give less stars. Let's start with checking in after 3 pm. We were told to come back in an hour despite having a confirmed reservation because there were no clean rooms. There were four other couples who were also shaking their heads in disbelief that a company as big as La Quinta did not have ANY rooms ready. When we finally did check in there was a poor dog that was crying relentlessly a few doors down. No fewer than four rooms were expressing sadness that this dog was left for hours ALONE. The police responded. Said couple replied to me that it was a pet friendly hotel and asked if I wanted to watch their dog when they went out for dinner? Said couple also said that they could do whatever they wanted including eating their own dog! We won't be back. So disappointed. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Initially thought the hotel want open because parking lot was nearly empty. Front staff exceptionally nice and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. This hotel is cheap. Don't be fooled by thinking because it is new that it will also be a nicer experience. On entering the building the hotel reception was empty. After a five minute wait the receptionist appeared. Then I was told that the pool facilities were not available which was a primary reason for booking this stay. On entering the room we discovered that the bed squeaked and from every spot in the mattress. The mini fridge was so noisy that we decided to just unplug it from. The wall. When we called to ask to move rooms due to the bed problem we were told that there was no empty room and no engineer until the morning. Clearly this was no use since she knew we were leaving in the morning. We were told the manager was gone for the next two days over the weekend. This is most when a manager is needed as it is busier on weekends. After these numerous issues no accommodation was offered other than to wait two days for the manager to get back to us. Book in advance and stay at the Marriott or one of the many Bed and breakfasts downtown. This is a glorified motor inn!!! read more

We stayed there last weekend and the walls were so thin you could hear people from the other room. My daughter left her swim suit there and when I called they wanted to charge my credit card to send it back. As a business manager, I send forgotten things back to customers all the time without charging because that is how you get your customers to come back. Plus we didn't realize we left the swimsuit for 5 days after we checked out but never got an email or phone call saying we left anything in the room. read more

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean and new. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very very accommodating and nice. The breakfast bar is very good!! We went to Walla Walla to visit friends and stayed elsewhere in the past. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Walla Walla. read more
