I've stayed here twice when my girlfriend and I go to WinStar. It's cheap and has a hot shower and beds. It's what we want when we go to the casino and isn't meant to be a resort setting. They have free breakfast in the morning as well. The rooms could use new bedspreads as ours were not in good condition. The greeting and checkin/checkout process was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for pampering this is not your place but if you need a place to crash after hitting the slots this hotel will work. read more

I stayed in room 303, went to bed feeling perfectly fine, but when I woke up the next morning, I had at least 9 bites all over the left side of my body (arm, elbow, thigh, knee, leg) (pictures attached). Even after 4 days since I checked out, they are still large, painful, itchy and inflamed as ever. Whether it was bed bugs, spiders, ants, etc., They need an exterminator ASAP. Overall nice clean room. We had everything we needed. The ladies at the front desk were always welcoming wether we were coming or going. Definitely less expensive than staying at winstar. You could walk to the casino if need be. They also have a little store within the hotel chips, ice cream, etc which comes in handy for your late night snacks.They do have free breakfast which we did not have. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the sheets are worn they had piling and some water damage in the restroom wall. read more

I give this business a zero! My absolute worse experience ever in any hotel in my life! It was 100% the fault of the front desk person Jenny! I witnessed her hang up the phone on someone from the lobby when I was just sitting relaxing. She slammed the phone down and was literally yelling at the top of her lungs very visibly shaken to the core and angry at this guest. It was so bad, I asked her was that my wife she was talking to? She said no, it was a agitated person who had been drinking. She told the person to come down to the front office before slamming the phone down. It was my wife. I assure you my wife was not drinking. She was recovering from surgery and my son was upstairs in the room recovering from a stomach virus. We had just got to the hotel and checked in. She asked to speak to the manager and the front desk girl became argumentative with my wife. It was unbelievable! This went down hill fast because Jenny got very defensive. I asked my wife what happened? She said there was a large glob of hair in the bathroom. She said Jenny told her over the phone that it could have been her hair. Really! This just turned into a unfortunate turn of events rather than a simple fix. Needless to say, the front desk girl called the police claiming she was threatened by my wife and we were ejected from the hotel! Unbelievable! I have this woman's attitude on video and cant wait to show it to an attorney! My wife was upset for obvious reasons caused by this unqualified customer service person who did not know how to properly handle this simple to fix situation. We will be meeting with the manager of this establishment in the morning. read more

Room wasn't available until 1 hour past check in time. We would've waited longer if my husband wouldn't have said something. We were told by the staff that just because check in is at 3 doesn't mean your room would be ready. Watched the front desk worker get rude with another guest. A hard king bed and the cheapest and most uncomfortable sleeper sofa ever - the hotel had rooms w 2 queens avail and offered to let me me change rooms - for $50 more. And Aunt Bea in the breakfast area hovers over you like a buzzard to make sure she gets her $1 tip. At reservation WIFI for my work was promised but it wasnt working. It's one of those hotels that feels like instead of working hard to please the guests it has an owner that wants to squeeze every nickel out of the next sucker. Never again - avoid. read more

For $394 for 2 nights I would have expected the bed to be comfortable and the TV to work, but that was not the case. there is a "Best Western" next door to a "Red River Inn". I stayed at the Red River Inn and it is a "newer hotel" than the Best Western. Wondering if these other comments that are negative were people who stayed at the Best Western? We were quite pleased with our stay at Red River Inn this past weekend. the rooms were clean, bed and pillows were good- not a 5 star hotel but good! The people who were at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. And there is a continental breakfast with coffee, waffles, fresh juices, etc free. Also free shuttle that picks up and takes you to the Winstar Casino every 15 minutes 24 hours per day. I would stay here again. Alittle pricey but that's how it is when you are at a resort. read more

Cheaper to stay here then the casino. Breakfast buffet served in morning . Clean and the staff was very friendly. My advice would be to call this hotel directly they will give you a discounted price sometimes if you ask for it .. the shuttle bus takes a while to get here as well .. but it is a quick drive to just drive over and park your car read more

We got a single room with two queen sized beds for 140 per night. Way over priced. I've stayed in motels in the middle of BFE that had better beds and better service than this place... Oh and by the way the shuttles don't run every 20 minutes... More like once every couple hours... Not recommended!! read more

For $240.00 a night, I would expect a comfortable bed and decent pillows. It was like sleeping on a piece of plywood with a rolled up towel for a pillow. Also, the complimentary random hair in the bed was pretty gross. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best, but I guess for being in the middle of nowhere it was sufficient for where we are at. The elevator smelled of strong B.O. with a fragrant cover up, I had to hold my breath with riding it. Well this place fully takes advantage of the lack of competition by up-charging this room by $100+. Yes I had a choice of driving to Gainesville or Ardmore (about 8-16 miles)and paying more realistic prices. Well we didn't but should have. Went to a concert at the World Smokestack Casino and it wasn't over until 12 so didn't want to get home in OKC at 2. Anyway about the hotel. The good: Hotel was clean and new looking. Very close to concert at casino. Staff was nice. Bad: Room size was fair with a tiny sitting room with one chair. Again about a $70-90 room. Sheets were wrinkled so at least I am pretty sure they were at least washed. One pillow had to be thrown off bed because of hair. Breakfast was very basic. I don't understand what was going on with cold biscuits with gravy. Shouldn't biscuits be warm? Eggs pre-made squares which had little taste. So basically don't let the free breakfast sell you on this place. Ugly: Bathroom had no return vent so the floor looked like a swimming pool after taking a short shower. The back of the door was soaked. I'm sure future mildew and mold issues will follow as this hotel gets older. Water pressure on shower nice but water way too hard because it took forever to get soap and shampoo off. This resulting in a longer shower and deeper pool on the floor. You could tell the room had already been touched up with paint because of the fast deterioration from this problem. In closing will not return. read more

I can say that the night staff was superb, very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. I will say they do take advantage of its proximity to a casino, expensive for what it is. I would just drive to the casino though, cuz if you plan on the shuttle you will be upset. read more

We had a gathering in Thackerville for a Surprise 60th Birthday Party and selected the Best Western Red River Inn & Suites as the location for everyone to stay the night. I phoned a few days prior to confirm they had space that we could use to "Surprise" the birthday girl to which TAMMY said yes that they had a breakfast area that could accommodate. The day of the party, we arrived to set up for a light lunch and the Surprise. From 11 AM - 1PM a party of 15 people came through the front lobby, two of our party went to front desk to ask to turn the air down as well as being literally next to the front desk and in that time NO ONE approached us to ask if it was approved or stated if there was an issue with us using the space. Until 1:30 PM, when we were told our rooms were available to check in.....then TAMMY came in to work. She came through the door yelling that "this is not what I approved" for the general public to hear. As we proceeded to clear the area and check in to our rooms, you can imagine my surprise as I was packing items in my car in the parking lot when TAMMY appeared. She physically put herself in between me and the door and while no one else was around began yelling at me that her GM had called her and was upset, she was in trouble, etc etc etc. I immediately apologized for any miscommunication and offered to speak with her GM. That didn't slow her ranting down and she continued getting closer to me as she did. After I repeated another 3 to 4 times my apology and offering to speak with someone on her behalf she finally turned towards the front lobby, only to come back in my direction to continue her yelling. Because my family and children were just in side and I didn't want them to see anything that would upset them I just continued my apologies and offering to help. She finally subsided and returned inside, where the publically loud comments continued in the lobby. Obviously the rest of our party noticed and came to check on me and wanted to leave, but since we had already checked in and our plans for the rest of the evening were at the local casino I figured we would be safely away from the property. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere and a good environment for an event I would not recommend this as the location. read more

Just returned from a 2 night stay. We had a total of 3 rooms booked, 2 King suites and 1 room w/2 queens. They put us in rooms next to each other as requested. Employees were friendly. Room was decently clean. My biggest con was the towels. There were NOT absorbent. Either not rinsed well, or too much fabric softener? My cousins stated in their room the bathroom door would not shut. I did not try the free breakfast. Shuttle to casino ran about every 20 mins, and was very convenient. Would stay again. read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 nights. It is a newer hotel very close to the Winstar Casino (free shuttle available 24 hrs a day.) Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest receptionist named Tammy. She gave us a map of the casino as well as suggesting other things to do in the surrounding areas. Many kudos to Tammy for doing a wonderful job making us feel at home during our stay. The lobby was nicely decorated. The rooms were a great size and clean. The bed was a little more firm than I am used to, but I do think there is something to a firm bed because we slept very well! Breakfast was until 10am and consisted of different cereals, sausage, bacon, eggs, different breads and a waffle maker. The last morning there, I overheard one employee saying how she had an appointment to get to and started putting the food away before we were done. That was a little annoying but we did get to have breakfast! We really liked that our room had both a microwave and mini fridge as well. Microwave was an older one but did it's job. The password for their wi-fi was given to us at check in. It did not stay logged in past a certain amount of time, which got annoying but at least it worked! The pool area was very clean, had 15+ lawn chairs but closed too early, 9pm. The deepest it got was 5' if I remember correctly which was perfect as my husband and I are not swimmers! lol The pool was handicap accessible also. ( Which I thought was interesting) Smoking and pets were not allowed. Elevators had a musty smell that made me thankful for a short ride! (Only 3 floors in the building) Small business area available, though we did not use. Small fitness room also available that closed at 10pm. Overall, we would stay at this location again if we ever went back to Thackerville but there isn't much else to do in that area besides the casino (we didn't have much luck there) so we probably won't make it a long stay if we do. read more

This place was horrible. We booked through a 3rd party website, and they apparently did not receive our reservation when we got there. They made no attempt to rectify the situation and the customer service was absolutely horrid. The lady lied about multiple things, and blamed the third party website for everything. She showed no remorse for our difficulties and nothing to compensate us for that. This was a new hotel, yet there was nothing to make our stay in enjoyable. There were multiple customers adult with the same issue I did, and the same outcome was given. The hotel to no responsibility and didn't even try to find us another hotel room or help us at all. I would suggest to stay at the Winstar itself and pay the extra money if you want a good experience. read more
