A couple of disclosures: We stayed here paying the freight with our BW Rewards Points, and our $25 early check-in (12:30 pm) fee was waived. We were here for one night for a family event, so our hotel usage was limited. Our two-queen bed room was spotless, and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. TV Cable/Wifi were satisfactory (about 45 Channels, Wifi was strong). Passenger and Freight trains ran nearby, but we didn't notice them until we were outside. The Complimentary Breakfast was good with extra points for opening 10 minutes before the 6:30 opening time, and the Red Velvet Waffle option (in addition to Original). For food, this BW's options are a nice selection of snacks and soft drinks purchased on the honor system. They can because there are cameras throughout the hotel. There is a Carl's Jr, essentially in their parking lot, and quite a few Fast Food and Fast Casual restaurants within 5 minutes driving. If we had paid for the room, the rate would have been $139. I'd consider this rate a very good value for the area. read more

First off this is called Best Western Plus not Comfort Inn so I hope they change that confusion but the guy at the counter was super friendly and nice, the beds are pretty comfy, the Suite was nice and roomy with its own balcony for fresh air and the room was actually clean! Now for the sucky part, there's a train that goes by honking it's horn at 2am and the windows aren't soundproof, I'm a very light sleeper and hear everything so it sucks for me. Also when we were getting ready to leave, asked for towels and didn't get them until 1130am and the lady was super rude and told us it's time to check out already. The front desk staff was very rude. I have never encountered some so rude. I have never had a problem at any Best Western until yesterday. We arrived in to town just a bit after 2pm, so we called to ask if we could check in early. Destiny was the the one that answered the phone and simply said , "Nope, 3 pm check in!" I was surprised and shocked with her tone and answer and said excuse me, she said again, "Nope, 3pm!" I then asked, why was she so aggressive with me? A simple no, that is not possible would have been fine. I then asked for the manager. Not available! I waited until 3pm to go and check in. Upon my arrival, the manager was waiting for me and was just as rude. Crystal Gason, the General Manager, was the absolute worst person to deal with. She tried to interrogate me instead of listen to me. After an exchange of words, I simply asked for a refund and left. As I was walking out, she was condescending and yelled out "Bye, Bye!!" The woman in the breakfast area was militant and rude; she threatened to have me removed from the property when I refused to move away from the waffle iron while waiting for my waffles to cook. A used water bottle was in my room upon check in. Cleaning products were left in my daughter's room while the DO NOT DISTURB was on the outside of the door. The pool was overly cloudy and green in color (UNSANITARY!!). Trash gathered at the back entrance sidewalk to pool for the 2 days we were there. Otherwise, rooms were clean and comfy. read more

Front desk wants your credit card for "incidentals", what they don't tell you is they take money from your card even though you've not incurred any extras. That is theft. I called them when the charge showed up, staff said that I should have read what I signed. In my job, I explain what people are signing due to the small print, I was hung up on. My friend and I shoot in a military rifle competition each year in the North end of Phoenix and we found this Comfort Inn a few years ago and now we keep coming back here because of the excellent service and value. There are a lot of places closer to where we need to be but they cannot compare to this property. We stayed for 4 nights this time and everything was great. Housekeeping staff does an excellent job, as our rooms were always made up perfectly and restocked. The best part of our stay here was by far the breakfast. The lady who takes care of setting everything up is named Veronica and she does an EXCELLENT job!! I am in the hotel and hospitality business and I wish we had her working at our properties. She constantly cleaned and restocked the entire time we were in the breakfast room. I can't think of any time I went to look for something and it wasn't there... she really cares about keeping it clean and it shows!! I have stayed at a lot of Choice properties and this breakfast really stands out... from the large sized yogurts to the choice of having regular or mini-waffles, it is clear to me that they put in the extra effort to make the guests happy. Thanks!!!! The location is very convenient as there is a great selection of food and drink closeby. I would definitely recommend the Irish Wolfhound for dinner, and also the PT Noodles is not too far away for great Vietnamese food. read more

Stayed two nights. I picked this place for location, but the location was not where I thought it was but that is my fault...getting old ya know. But speaking of location I suspect I will not stay here again since it is not well located for my needs... too bad for me huh. We checked in early and was greeted by a very nice young lady. See gave us a choice of floors two and three, we opted for the third. The room was set well with two queen beds and each had four smaller pillows, very much to my liking. The table with two chairs and one occasional chair suited us well as did the refrigerator. They did have in room coffee but that was the one icky thing, not good coffee. The beds were comfortable and the shower while not overly powerful was ok. Other guests were an annoyance, but were taken care of by the night desk clerk, well done. What surprises me about most hotels - motels is the fact of no controlling of noise with insulation and sufficient windows and the huge gaps under the hall doors. This place is no different in these areas. They do offer a decent breakfast in a nice room with plenty of seating and tables. The woman who does the set up and tear down was very sweet so another plus. So if this location is good for you, give it a try. read more

We stayed here because it was quite a bit cheaper than the Holiday Inn and the pet deposit with much cheaper (20$ compared to 100$ at holiday inn). We brought our English bulldog, who weighs about 55 lbs. I called and even though they say their limit is 35 lbs, they worked with us on that which was amazing!! There was not even a breed restriction which is hard to find, especially with Bulldogs. The woman at the hotel was unbelievably accommodating. I believe her name was Jamie, she was so so so amazing. She told us up front what the policies were, how much it was and all the good stuff. My fiancé plays for the AFL team in Surprise, so instead of going to the team hotel, we opted to pay for this one and I'm more than happy we did. I recommend this to all baseball families, families with pets, families on budgets, and anyone in general. This is a great place to stay and if we happen to be out this way again, we will absolutely choose this hotel. Booked this hotel room at the last minute as the whole town was busy with spring training. Never stayed at a Comfort Inn, I was wasn't sure what to expect. It was much better than I thought. The lobby was clean, our room was clean, and the breakfast was the best part. The great room, as they call it was so neat and organized, you can tell they care about their breakfast. i stayed here on a corporate contract for work, and i gotta say it's one of the better ones. it is brand new, so nothing icky here. the rooms were always clean, and the breakfast was above average. they have a pool and fitness center. also, the towels are really soft! I stayed here for one night because my usual hotel chain in this particular city was not pet friendly. I should have kept driving. Despite their insistence that they are "Inn of the Year" for 2011, this was the most uncomfortable hotel I think I've ever stayed at. The bed was more like sleeping on a rock. The air conditioner did not work well and the room stayed quite hot all evening. Even after driving for over 12 hours, I could not fall asleep in that dreadful bed. It made the next day of driving nearly unbearable. Kudos for being pet friendly, but the rooms need a serious upgrade. read more

We had a fantastic experience. The room was , indeed the whole hotel, was very clean and fresh smelling. The employees were friendly. Our room was very nice. We had a double queen bed room. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillows, OMG the pillows, were amazing. Best sleep I've had in months. Monique was especially helpful. She really was the cherry on top. We were there with our malamute who howls when she's lonely. She volunteered to keep our dog company up front and even took her for a walk. That was way above and beyond anything we expected. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Receptionist got us a room next to the steps directly above family which was convenient. Breakfast was decent. Waffle maker, pastries, cereal, yogurt, eggs and sausage or bacon. As a hotel that accepts pets rooms where very well cleaned. Would recommend. Only downfall which is not hotels fault would be the train. However the way the tracks are laid out through the town I think most hotels would be near one so wouldn't hold it against Comfort Inn. read more

The hotel was nice. It was clean. The rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator if you want to buy a few groceries. Breakfast was fine. They have apples at the entrance at all times. The hotel sits next to a shopping center that has a Target, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, a few other stores, and a Lowe's. My room faced Lowe's. Every morning between 6 and 7 I heard trucks coming and going out of Lowe's. The hotel windows are not soundproof by any means so each morning I heard truck breaks or trucks beeping when the backup. Outside the opposite side of the hotel has construction going on. If you plan to go to bed early and get up early, you'll probably be fine but if you want to sleep in, find somewhere else because you'll be awake early at this place. read more

Once you read, you can judge whether or not this a suitable option for you, your family, and personal items. In early April my wife and I had business appointments in the Surprise area. We choose Comfort Inn and Suites.,13337 W. Grand Ave. Surprise, Az. Our experience is as follows; Our stay was booked for 2 days. We arrived late on the first night, and our meetings on the second day started at 8:30 am. We returned to the hotel at 10:30 p.m. on the second evening as we had dinner after our meetings. On our return we found that we had been locked out of our room due to a booking and credit card error. We were given new keys and entered the room to find out that our personal belongings had been moved. We did not find out until the next morning when we prepared to check out the extent of the violations. We found that not only had items been moved, food had been taken from our frig and placed in a bag with shoes and lotions, our luggage had been searched and my wife's I-PAD was missing. We reported the problem to front desk and a report was written up. Neither General Manger or owner was available but we were assured that the problem would be investigated, the police would be contacted and we would shortly receive a resolution. Two days went by no call from the owner or GM, so I contacted the hotel and was told, that the GM was not there but would be in the next day, but I would have to contact the police to order a police report as this was considered a third party incident. I called the police and waited for a response. 3 more days went by no response, so I called the hotel again. I was finally able to talk with the GM, who had limited information regarding the incident and told me that until the police report, she could not resolve the incident. It appears that she had not contacted the police to inquire. It is now 17 days later: No call from the owner, GM or anyone related to the facility. We did find out from the police, and the hotel that someone with access to the front desk key entered our room after the maid. I suggest that you decide, if you want to expose your spouse, children and personal belongings to hotel personnel and situations that are unprofessional, impersonal, and inconsiderate. We are extremely disappointed in the lack of follow-up, and concern from the owner ,who we have never spoken with, or the GM. We also have a concern that unless corrected these things will happen to others. read more

For the price, we thought the accommodations were very satisfactory, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's a fairly new facility so nice and clean, and they offer alot of little conveniences like access to fax machines and internet access. Our guests had a good stay. read more
