First stay at this location and it started out on a rough note. We had issues with a cancelled room reservation by the hotel staff, which was eventually worked out (after our trip) through Marriott headquarters. In the meantime, we ended up having to make reservations again. Luckily, they had availability, and the last-minute rates were very reasonable. We stayed in room 206 which was a 2-Queen bed suite. It was spacious, comfy, and clean. There were two TVs, a pullout sofa bed, a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. There's a complimentary breakfast buffet which many online reviews raved about, but honestly it was only "okay", not as nice as other hotel chains we frequent. There is also an outdoor pool and gym/exercise room, but we didn't try either of those. We got a suite here last night because we had an event to attend during the day. When I looked online, this seemed to have the best reviews compared to other places in the immediate area. They are remodeling the rooms right now, and I was fortunate enough to get one of the newly remodeled suites on the top floor. It still smelled like fresh paint.(which I didn't mind.) and was immaculate. If you get a room on the fourth floor, the ceiling is 15 to 20 feet high, which makes the room feel much larger than it is. There are two TVs and a sofa pullout bed if you need it. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker all are nice amenities to have. In the morning, they have a complimentary buffet style breakfast with bacon eggs, waffles, various breads, which was very nice. The price can't be beat for this nice of a hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. read more

The staff here is friendly and they asked me if I wanted my late checkout on check in, I didn't have to beg for it or fight for it, which is why I'm rounding this review up to a 3 star. This Springhill suites location is a bit dated but it's still okay, but there were some other noteworthy issues. The bathtub needs to be replaced; they just painted over the rust it was a little unappealing. The bed sinks when you sit or lay on it and the sleep quality I had wasn't the best. The blinds don't block all the light so in the morning I wake up before I wanted to. The gym was okay, although a bit smaller than the last Springhill suites I stayed at. I'm a platinum vip but I didn't get my welcome gift. read more

I called, told them he's half way across the states traveling alone for the first time, for work, please let him check in and they would not budge because he's not 21. I've stayed in many hotels by Marriott and this one is by far the worst. Staff was nice which is the only reason why I gave it 2 stars. We had to stay here not by choice but because my son is on a travel team.. and this.. this is the place they picked?!? The room we got had little to none storage space. It was very frustrating having to live out the suite case when we typically hang and organize our things when staying more than 2 days. The worse part were the beds! Better off sleeping on the ground. The springs in the mattress were unbearable and every time you moved you can hear the springs. Tried using the pullout and again the mattress was absolutely cheap and uncomfortable. Just not up to the quality I remember the Marriot giving their costumers. Put me in a room for the handicapped, so the wheelchair friendly shower had no edge around it to keep the water from going all over the bathroom floor. Hallway carpet feels dingy, breakfast was meh, and when I asked if I could extend my stay by a few days, they wanted to hike the rate WAY up. Just to the left was a set of tables with about 8-10 adults making their way through cases of beer, loudly partying, and stumbling about the lobby. It was about 115 degrees outside and maybe 110 in the lobby and in all the other hallways and common areas, yet the front desk person told me it was my imagination that the AC might not be working. Got stuck for two minutes in the hot elevator, and swore right then and there if I lived to get out, I was leaving this hotel. It was a great 2 week stay. They have a good selection for breakfast such as scrambled eggs every morning and for proteins, they would switch from sausage, bacon and links. They sometimes have yogurt in the mini fridge. They have four different pastries, there is oak meals with different toppings to add to it, waffle machine and banana and grapefruit. Even though everything was great, I would like to point out a few things I didn't care for which would be the pool area. You literally needs two hand to just trying to open it after you use your room keys. It's located back of the hotel and you have to walk out the hotel to get to it. Keep an eye to the kids because it's located outside and shares the parking lots to a restaurant. I had to switch room on my first day because the room had hair on the pillow case and bed. On top of that, there was either food stain or blood stain on the top sheets. I was glad they got me another room with a better view and seems much bigger. I would recommend room 420 but keep in mind that it's a two queen size bed. The only complaint I have on the second room was that the fridge needs to be cleaned! If you are looking for a do not disturb sign, don't bother because housekeeper doesn't come in untill you request and also you have to be out the room for four hours. The hotel have tall trash bin for guest to dispose their trash in the labels bin and another for towels. You can request fresh towels or anything you need during your stay at the front desk. I like it that the shopping mall is right behind the hotel and Traders Joe is right next to me also. Across the road is Target. Hotel is surrounded with restaurants so everything is walk able if you don't want to drive. read more

Joey at the front desk and the rest of the crew were very friendly. The hotel is a few minutes off of 101 Freeway. There is an In-N-Out right across the street, as well as a mall nearby, and lots of different chain restaurants. The hotel was clean and very comfortable to stay in. My friend and I both enjoyed our continental breakfast every morning, and the waffles! Had a good stay, and recommend this convenient location for everyone. read more

First time staying here , and I'm glad I did. Plenty of parking for all types of vehicles. Close / within walking distance to many stores , and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating to my request. The room I got is huge. Feels like an apartment. Super quiet, comfortable beds, and good products in the bathroom (tea tree Paul Mitchell) no need to bring your own shampoo , conditioner, and body wash. Huge dining / lounge area. The breakfast looks legit, I didn't have anything tho. But plenty of seating. And loved the free water and coffee / tea that was out by the elevator. I will definitely be back & highly recommend. This is a horrible hotel. The rooms smell like a gym locker room. The front desk staff is not helpful. After trying three different rooms and they all had a horrible stench, I asked to cancel my reservation. The answer was absolutely not, once you "check in" you must pay for the night. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one wouldn't be on site until Tuesday (this was on Sunday). Not what I expected as a Titanium Elite long time Bonvoy member. First, I'll start by saying the cleaning crew needs a raise! Very clean rooms! These stars are for them only! 0 starts for the front desk staff!!! Secondly, the hotel manager (David) needs to be replaced immediately, as he very poorly represents Marriott and what they stand for in customer service. He would rather argue with the customer then admit he is wrong. Also, Madeline, had a terrible attitude. We arrived at the hotel very late at night, were Locked out. She was vacuuming and we knocked on the door to get her attention. We were first greeted by her screaming at us! Never had been to this hotel before, and that's how we were greeted. So unprofessional. She then refused our physical room key, made our getting into our room more difficult and upsetting, and never once apologized. Come the morning we spoke with the manager (David) and he cut us off, and took Madelines side; that we were never to knock! There was a phone, no sanitizer, no gloves, only a phone. A phone that magically can be heard over the vacuum cleaner.. he was incredibly rude, and had no sympathy towards how we were greeted to his hotel. Third, we had an item left behind. They told us they would take it to be mailed via ups. They could not give me a courtesy call to let me know my item was dropped off. How much, or a tracking number. Even after requesting to be called. (David) said no! He would not call. Fast forward 5 days. I have still not heard anything. Received any email. And when I called, there seems to be no record of my item or where it could be. Mina the General Manager.. is no better. She will argue with you, cut you off, talk over you, make excuses and tell you as the customer you are wrong! This is why all the staff is the way there are! It starts from the top! You don't need a dark-light to see the substances in this room. That couch was the first thing seeing upon checking into the room. Completely grossed out by the mysterious white substance that any roomer cleaner would have found with more than a cursory glance, I went to the front desk to report the issue. Rather than switching me to a clean room, they merely swapped out only one of the couch pillows. Feeling grossed out after staying for a day, I checked out of the hotel early and they refused to provide a refund of any kind for the remainder of my stay. But man oh man, I probably need to let the administrative assistant know more specifics about my personal preferences when booking these trips. Like I don't think being in the middle of a desolate shopping center parking lot is something I would have been seeking. Or I'm just not into burnt out bulbs on the main signage. When I came up on this hotel in an erratically driven Uber, I thought the name of the hotel must surely be Bates and that Norman was waiting for me at the reception desk to tell me my shower was in need of personal repair. "Coming, Mother!" My room was oddly configured. I had a relatively comfortable King bed with an unnecessary sofa bed separated from my bed by an awkward divider as if anybody but the Waltons would be comfortable with that set-up (photo: http://bit.ly/2earS4q). It felt like the decor was stuck somewhere during the Watergate era as I had not seen that shade of aquamarine since the Carol Merrill days of "Let's Make a Deal". For $89 per night, I could hardly complain especially when I saw they had not one but two waffle irons at the complimentary breakfast bar and all the scrambled eggs and bacon you could possibly eat before your first meeting. We arrived for Spring Training and were met by very nice and friendly staff at the front desk who got us checked in and explained the housekeeping program to us so we knew what to expect. Our room was very nice and spacious for three of us. Breakfast was always ready a bit earlier than the time posted and coffee was available even sooner. The coffee was actually very good and the nice lady taking care of the breakfast room was super friendly and wished you a good morning each day we were down there. There were lots of transient business people who had plenty of room to meet up in the morning and have their pre day meetings. The room was clean and the mattress and bedding were comfortable as well. We all seemed to sleep pretty well and the air conditioner was not too noisy when cycling off and on. The housekeeping staff maintenanced your room every other day and they did a good job keeping us supplied with towels and sundries. Even the housekeeping staff wished you a good morning with a smile on their faces. We will definitely be back next year for Spring Training. read more

Customer service was excellent and the free breakfast in the morning was better than the ones at Fairfield Inn and Suites. . GOOD Free parking Free wifi Free breakfast with waffle maker, GLUTEN FREE blueberry muffins by Udi, and other normal continental breakfast items. Microwave, refrigerator and bar in kitchenette area. BAD Living room is not separated by a door, rather just a partition that goes halfway through the room, so it's still one big room with 2 queens and a sofa pullout . Bathroom door only secures and separates the toilet/shower from the bedroom. Can't blow dry hair or watch TV after kids go to bed. Most "suite" places separate the bedroom from the living room with a real door. read more

I had my two confirmation numbers handy. I did tell her I felt she was very rude and I am Platinum with Marriott and she said if I don't like it, there are plenty of Marriott's in town and stay somewhere else! The location even though its on crazy Bell road is pretty quiet but very convenient. Its in the Arrowhead Mall parking lot which is great if you like to shop and there are so many places to eat within walking distance that this was a breeze of a stay for us. The breakfast area was very clean, breakfast was enjoyable for a buffet style breakfast with a couple of healthy options. The staff was very friendly from the front desk to the cleaning gals. Stayed here for two nights for Padres Spring Training. The location, like all other hotels in the area, was great. Close to the fields and tons of restaurants nearby to choose from. It's a small hotel. The room felt cramped when trying move around but the large sofa and extra TV was great! Not a fan of the unsecured parking lot but did like the security feature at the main entrance. Didn't receive maid service and stairwells were dirty. I am a Regional Manager for a national food chain. I have used Marriott for years with great customer service. I lived in Phoenix for 20 plus years. I have plenty of friends and family that I can stay with. Decided to use my points, as after a long couple days of traveling, we just wanted to sit in the hot tub and relax. When making the reservation with my points, I informed the lady that we have been traveling, and that we just wanted to use the hot tub and relax and get a good night's sleep. 8:00 p.m. tired and just wanting to sit in the hot tub, we arrived at the hotel. When checking in, I was not informed that the hot tub and pool was not working. I was not informed until I asked for a room close to the pool. At this point I inform the gentleman at the counter that I had made the reservation due to wanting to use the pool and hot tub. I was told that I could cancel but would lose my points or I could go to another location. At 8:00 p.m. at night after hours and hours of traveling I just wanted to get some sleep. The next morning I contacted Marriott, and told them that I understood, I stayed at a hotel but the amenities that I wanted were not available. Was not asking for a full refund, just seeing if they would meet me in the middle as I did not receive what I was paying for. Room was costing me 23,000 points. Thought maybe for the inconvenience, lack of amenities, and for my loyalty of a long-term Marriott member with 30 room stays in the last 2 months, maybe just maybe they would kick me 5000 points back for all the inconvenience. Instead the reply I got was " you were informed at 8:00 p.m. you could go and stay somewhere else. No return points will be credited" I am sure. Hilton, Wyndham, choice hotels or any of the others will greatly appreciate my business. Below is the managers info, that doesn't think a simple 5000 points is worth my business. I am actually sitting in a Marriott in Kingman, Arizona as I type this. Like I said above, over 30 rooms stays in the last 2 months with Marriott. As someone who has been in hospitality for over 30 years a simple " thank you for your continued use of Marriott. Unfortunately we will not be able to credit you any points. If you would like to stay with us again in the next 30 days, we would like to extend you a 25% discount as your continued and repeat service with Marriott is extremely important to us". But instead all I got, was that I was informed, I could go somewhere else. So that's exactly what I will do. Thank you for putting a price on my loyalty. Also... Check Yelp. I have to say that accommodations themselves were around a 4.0, but service definitely bumped my rating up to a 5.0. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted very warmly by the front desk staff and were able to get our room key quite quickly. No complaints at all about the room except that the bathroom did seem somewhat outdated. Other than that, I really liked the setup. There was a small kitchenette area with a sink, microwave, and fridge and a large desk where you can definitely get some work done. There was also a couch with a TV in front of it. Both queen beds were super comfortable and well situated in terms of accessibility to outlets. Second TV was as expected in front of the bed. I liked that you could log into Netflix through the TV if you wanted to watch your own shows and movies and all that. Breakfast in the morning was great! They had the usual waffle iron, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt spread and also had biscuits with sausage, gravy, salsa, spinach, eggs, and etc. There were a variety of food items and they all seemed to taste overall. The coffee was actually pretty tasty as well! Was recently visiting the area for a family event and went back and forth in regards to hotels in the area. This place came in around my budgeted cost and had decent reviews so I booked. I am glad I did. I called the day before my arrival to let them know that it's possible that I would be arriving after midnight due to traffic in California. They told me it wouldn't be a problem and my reservation wouldn't be cancelled. The rep also made a note of my late arrival, just in case. Traffic was quite horrible the day of my arrival but we ended up arriving around 11pm. We were greeted nicely by the front desk clerk and he was pleasant and approachable. He checked us in and let us know all the amenities that the hotel has including the hot breakfast daily from 6am to 10am and 24 hour fitness center. We ended up with a room on the fourth floor. Not bad of a room. Not outdated. Had a nice little couch, desk, kitchenette set up near the front door and the. A slight split in the room where the bed and bathroom was. The bathroom tissue supply was interesting as both rolls were pretty much at the end of its life but yet no spare anywhere to be found. We ended up not getting housekeeping the next day as we slept in most of the day to relax and enjoy our time before family obligations. Breakfast was a nice spread, in my opinion. My husband was a complete fan but the fact they actually had hot eggs and some form of meat protein, as well as a diy waffle station, I'm always game for that. They have coffee available in the morning and hot water water, iced water available 24/7. I wish they had the coffee available 24 hours, as well as that would be a nice afternoon pick me up. Granted they do have a coffeemaker in the room. But since I had left food out on the kitchenette counter, they didn't restock our coffee. I didn't want to bother calling front desk or housekeeping for more. Overall, our stay was pleasant. You're surrounded by shopping and restaurants and easy distance to other areas so location was great. All staff we encountered were great. Beds were pleasant to sleep on. Couch pulls out into another bed so that's an added bonus. I definitely would recommend this place. read more

He refused to look at her certificate that she is a service animal and we are being charged fees for having a pet. We paid $310 for nights we didn't stay there. $290 in fees. Everyone is so welcoming. The room was nice and clean. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days the staff are wonderful so accomodative. The hot tub is small but it was hot and bubbly so the size was not a problem. Breakfast was great plenty of options. Also a 24hour tea station. The cleaning staff do a great job. Our person even bought flowers for me aa she had asked why we were on town and my boyfriend told her I was graduating and my future plans. Plus this hotel is in the middle of everything shopping and restaurants. Travel to Phoenix and Tempe was not bad as the hotel is blocks from the 101. If you want convenience, comfort, cleanliness, and a welcome feel this is the place. I will stay again when I return. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights and really have no complaints. The people at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. We had stayed here before but since then the rooms have been renovated. They were clean and comfortable. My brother and his wife were with us and the first room they had smelled like cigarette smoke but the manager apologized and they were given another room without a problem. We did not eat breakfast there during our stay but it looked good. All in all we had a great stay here and would definitely return. read more

We stayed here this past summer when our air conditioning went out. We were here for 2 days and very happy. The breakfast was good the rooms were nice as clean. The only bummer was we couldn't bring our pup but we understood. All in all it was a really pleasant experience. The front desk people were great!! Definitely recommend this hotel!! read more
