Our car broke down on our planned roadtrip east - even though our stay at Timpanogos wasn't reserved until 2 days after we tried to cancel, they refused to refund us our stay. We had to pay full price for a hotel we never stayed at even though we were well within the cancellation deadline - front desk just gave us a runaround since we had already paid in full with the initial reservation. Booked this place through Hotel Tonight and chose the option, "hotel chooses room type". They played us in room 125 and it smelled like mold. It had an odor that was immediately noticeable but thankfully we got used to it pretty quick. Other than that it was a fine, one night stay. The surrounding area has food options and the family that runs it seems nice enough. It was exactly we paid for so we're not mad about it. I would stay here again if I wanted to keep my costs moderate. Made a reservation, was told I could cancel to my face then they charged me anyways. The manager and the front desk girl fed me lip service saying everything would be fine if I cleared it with my third party company. Then proceeded to not allow the cancellation to go through. Proceeded to charge me for the night anyways. Lied to my face. Double dipping, booked the room I requested out full house then charged me anyways. So on their website when I booked it said pet friendly and when we arrived late at night to check in they said the room we chose was not and refused us. Which was the family sweet. They refused to refund the reservation and we ended up staying 6 miles away at the holiday in which was amazing and had cookies in the lobby and the fold out couch ready to go in our room with extra bedding to accommodate us. They only charged a $25 pet fee that was refunded after checkout at the holiday inn also. This hotel will never get our business again. Not to mention dealing with a foreigner at the front desk is less than ideal for especially if they're rude and turn you away. read more

We entered our room and the last person who stayed in the room, their clothing was still hanging on the bathroom door. The queen size bed looked like the maid just pulled up the duvet and made the bed. The sheets were all wrinkled like someone just slept in it. We ask to switch rooms. The complimentary breakfast was bad. The imitation eggs is where it started, the sausages were undercooked, the muffins and pastry were still cold from being pulled from the refrigerator/freezer. At check-in with yelp you get 2 free waters. The desk person can't honor it because we don't deal with 3rd party apps. this is the worse place that you could stay. DO NOT RECOMMEND: The room was very small, carpet smelled moldy, if you open the bathroom door to fast you hit the bathtub in the bathroom. I called the front desk at 8pm. The receptionist was a young lady and she said she would look into it. @ 10:30pm I walked to the front dest to let her know the noise was still going on. I asked her to come to the room to hear it for her self. Did not go with me she stated that there was nothing that she could do. I asked to be changed to a different room. They we all book. Well I am returning again to visit my son who is home from university. This will be at least my eighth stay here.......I like the location and comfortable rooms. I called directly to the hotel to book my visit for a week in May and was quoted a price $45 per night higher than my previous stay. I mentioned this to the clerk and was told "the owners are working to attract more corporate business customers to the hotel" so I went to Bookings.com to make a reservation and received a rate quite close to my previous visits. My room is very spacious and everything seems good. But after 4 days there is no room service yet........"we don't clean your room until after you leave due to COVID, just leave your garbage outside and they'll pick it up"....... Disappointed just about sums it up there has to be a better option read more

Got to the room and tried figuring out how to get the heater on for our room. window was wide open when we got there so the room was freezing cold. Finally called the manager and he came up to our room after we had gotten ready for bed to try and figure things out and he could not. He said he would have his maintenance guy look at it in the morning. He was nice to bring two spare blankets up to the room however. was a little surprised the hotel did not offer up to take anything off the price of the room considering we had no heater all night long. read more

Really enjoyed our stay here and must say we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and the managers. Had never been here before so was very pleased and would definitely stay here again. Has made me a huge fan of Best Western. Room was clean and bathroom large. They had a bell cart available for guests and that was huge for us. Bonus ~ their indoor pool and jacuzzi was stunning and we were able to enjoy multiple times. Breakfast is included in the rate and it was served n a very pleasant and large area....everything you may like such as scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, muffins, oatmeal, make your own waffles, yogurt, tea, coffee and juice....these are just the items iI recall, there was more. Turns out "best" is just a name, not a relevant adjective for this dump. Let's start with there being rats/mice in the hallways and rooms. Yes, you read that right, you will be sharing your accommodations with rodents. I called the front desk to report seeing them and they said "yes, we know, thanks for letting us know" The pace is definitely run down. Squeeky wood floors and in horrible disrepair. Carpets are dirty and should have been replaced ages ago. See images of nasty spots and wear. The breakfast area is closed for renovations, however, talking to some other guests that frequent there as a requirement for work travel arrangements say they've been "renovating" for well over a year. More like shutting down and not progressing. Thus breakfast is served in the lobby in cramped tables you can barely wade through, with much elbow bumping determination. The "hot breakfast" involves of baggies of press cooked omlets, eggs and pancakes that you nuke in a microwave. Luxury! Even small things that could be easily accomplished like washing windows or vacuuming haven't been addressed. I'm including pictures as a reference. Toilets have been fitted with bizarre contraptions that make flushing bizarre. Prepare to plunge them yourself or mold the handle down multiple times, even for a mere tinkle. Appliances such as the refrigerator are old and don't work well. I had it on the highest it would go, which seems to be "spoil your food slower" setting. Bed and comforter are worn and thin as paper. Including an image so you can see just how inadequate they are. I will say there's plenty of pillows, which was great, but not a good substitute for decent bedding. I'm terrified I left with an infection or bed bugs, which I guess is part of the package, no extra charge. The only real bright spot is that the gentleman that checked me in was very courteous and speedy. He did a good job and should be recognized (jack or john, some J name I think?), it was Tuesday around 7pm on 9/9/2014. I'm told this was once a best western plus. Obviously they've been downgraded, but honestly, if this is still rated "best" by the franchise, they should be absolutely ashamed. Won't be back. Ever. read more

I do have to wonder about these reviews ... Better luck then me perhaps? First, there is no elevator for this two story hotel - okay, not a big deal but definitely hard with two kids. Second, when the toilet clogged and I asked for help the housekeeper gave me the plunger to fix it myself! The floors in the hallways are dirty, but the room itself wasn't bad ... Relatively clean overall. I actually recommend the Super 8 right next store: cleanliness is the same, has an elevator and is $30+ a night cheaper. read more

The good: Clean rooms, very helpful, courteous staff, nice breakfast, indoor pool, easy freeway access, good wi-fi. I stayed here while visiting family in Herriman and Provo. This is a great central location along I-15 corridor. Having stayed in Motel-6 and Days Inn, this is a step up. The double queen room was spacious, clean and conveniently arranged. I am a fan of free breakfast and choose this as one of my criteria for a motel. The free breakfast was excellent, with a scrambled eggs w/ and w/o ham, potatoes, a breakfast meat, four kinds of waffle batter, two waffle flip-over griddles, one big waffle and one with four little waffles, toppings, yogurt and cereal. The hotel is clean, has a nice lobby, is a little dated with brown-colored carpet in the hall. I am very happy with my stay here. My only complaints are that one day the bath mat wasn't replaced, and one day my key card stopped working and we had to replace it multiple times to get it to work, requiring me to walk down the hall several times. Not the end of the world. There is a 24-hr McDonald's across the street, a Subway on the next block and an In-n-Out burger about 5 minutes away. Convenient to freeway. Would stay again. read more

On a 2-week road trip, this was my favorite hotel. We arrived late in the evening, to find the staff helpful and friendly. Fortuantely there was plenty of nearby parking. I was very pleased when we walked into our room, it was clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel offered a free breakfast in the lobby, with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, toasted bagels and muffins, and cereal. ('m probably forgetting something). Timpanogos Inn is our first choice of hotels when we visit Utah. We have stayed there several times. We enjoy the friendly staff, clean rooms and great breakfast. Our last visit during the month of July, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay accommodating and comfortable. I brought my mother who is in very fragile health to stay at Best Western Timpanogos Inn and their General Manager Bobby, Assistant Manager Seth, Meagan, Michelle, Nikki and all other staff members went out of their way to make sure my mother enjoyed her stay and had everything she needed. I can never thank them enough for all they did for us. We love the atmosphere there and always feel at home. Thank you Bobby and staff for everything. Recently stayed at this hotel for a week on business. The room was nice. Fairly clean, not super outdated, and quiet. As in I didn't hear any of my neighbors, which is rare in most hotels I stay at. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. There is a drive through Pizza Hut across the street which was helpful.

The whole experience was terrible. Our room smelled horrible for a non smoking room,  had bugs in the lamp shades, on the air conditioning unit and spiderwebs. We went complain they switched us rooms but acted like they didn't believe us about the bugs until we showed the pictures we took. Then breakfast ran out of food 45mins in. Cleaning from maids wasn't complete we still found trash and no extra towels when we left for services. Then to top it all off when we left they over charged us. We had asked for the bill total to make sure they didn't charge us for the room change and the guy at the front desk had headphones in and when we asked him he told us just to go and we'd see our bill on booking.com like we were stupid for wanting to review it. Like seriously? As I walking out I said I would never be back at this place because it was the worse place ever and he just said bye while put his headphones back in. Got the charge on my card for an extra 95 dollars, called to see the problem said they would take care of it. 4 days later they call saying they realized their mistake and would fix it. But what did they do? They charged me the total we were suppose to pay and charged me their rate so I was charged doubled onto my missing 95 dollars! I was pissed! Called again complained asked to speak to the manger, they said they were busy  and it was my banks fault for the double charge. I threaten to go all the way up on to their management of the establishment, had raise hell basically and finally they fixed it the next day. WORSE PLACE EVER. Please save yourself the hell we went through and find somewhere better, even sleeping in my car would've been a dream compared to this place. read more

I sent the manager this email and a week later still don't have the courtesy of a response. It is up to you to decide if you would ever stay here: (We rented two rooms the same night) Ten minutes after coming to our room the couple checking in after the us came to our room trying to get in with a valid key! (desk clerk) gave the same room out right after one another! This gets even better (/sarc - worse). We went out for a snack. Shortly after we returned someone came INTO my son's room with a working key! (lesson learned by my son, throw the dead bolt and door latch). (desk clerk) gave both of our rooms to other people within an hour! Need I tell you the risk to our personal safety? And what if (desk clerk) had given out our rooms while we were gone? We could have lost everything. I went to the front desk that night, gave (desk clerk) my name and asked (desk clerk) what rooms we were in. He of course gave two incorrect numbers. When after much querying on my behalf and fumbling on his it was quite clear he had no idea who was where nor why the guy that came into my son's room didn't come back to the front desk for another room! The next day I queried the morning desk clerk what our rooms were in the computer. They were of course wrong and didn't match our keys. Would you ever stay here? read more

The room is decent and the price was ok, though they charge you a $50 just in case you incur any charges (the guy at the front desk says it gets backed out right away but I haven't seen it yet and it's been two days). Some of my other complaints are: mini fridge is so tiny and doesn't get cold at all. I asked if they had a freezer so I can freeze my ice packs and was told no. There is no elevator!! The ice from the ice machine taste horrible; I don't think it's edible!! I asked the front desk guy how to get to Timpanogos Cave when we checked out; he said had doesn't live in the area and had no idea!! read more

We always stay at this location when in the area. My last two reviews were June 2014 and March 2015; nether were glowing reviews. This visit was without incident. I don't know if it is because we have lowered our expectations of this location or if it is because this visit didn't seem to have as many problems as the last visits; probably a combination of both. In any event, I must give credit that they took good care of my father in law, when he checked in hours before us; and put us across the hall so were stayed close to each other. There were some loud guests, though they did not last long. The room was clean. One complaint was the bathroom door would not open all the way because it hit the tub, so you couldn't close the shower curtain unless you closed the door; and the toilet and tub were very close and a bit cramped.
