Fantastic service, a lifesaver! We had literally just pulled into town (helping someone move here from California) when we heard a loud short grinding and lost power, even though the engine sounded fine. I immediately thought it was the transmission. I called another place but they were already overbooked, and suggested we try Bernie at Best Western. Bernie was very optimistic that they could help. We had the car towed there the next morning, and had a diagnosis that afternoon. (It turned out to be the CV joint and axle.) The car was fixed and ready to go the following day. This is a great local business and I highly recommend them! My best friend had her transmission fixed here and told me about them. I took mine in and they had excellent customer service. I was even able to get a rental car for special rates while they worked on my car for two days. I just picked it up and it runs great, it shifts (I have a standard) like new. The price was great and Bernie was friendly and professional. Well I picked this transmission shop because of its high ratings on here, but my experience was quite the contrary. I called on a Tuesday and asked if I could have my truck looked at as it had been shifting erratically. Bernie, the owner, said he could look at it that Friday. I was trying to be the easy kind of customer to deal with and asked if I could bring it up Thursday night and leave it there so they could have the whole day to do their thing. They said that was fine. I went in Thursday evening and dropped it off, and he said he would call me Friday and let me know what's up. Friday they are open until 5, and they are closed all weekend, so I figured they'd call me for sure either way to let me know if they would have my truck all weekend. Waited until 6 pm Friday (an hour after they closed), and no call. I call them, no answer. I leave a voicemail. 2 hours go by, no return call. I call once more. He answers, I tell him who I am and ask about my truck. He makes no mention of the voicemail I left 2 hrs prior, hence no apology for missing/not returning my first call, and he just tells me that they drove it and haven't done anything else yet as they need their computer guy to come by on Monday and check the settings. So the earliest I could have my vehicle back now pretty much becomes Tuesday. Don't you think I'd want to know that??!!?? I shouldn't have to call you to find that out at 8 pm on a Friday. No apology for me having to call him either. Wait it gets worse... Monday comes around. I wait until 345 pm, still no call. I call them. He answers"hello", not as his business, mind you this is during open hours. I ask if this is the shop. He says yes (way to be confusing dude). I ask about my truck, and he tells me that the computer guy just arrived but is about to look at it now, and says he'll call me back in a while. I say ok. I wait until 530 pm, no call. I call them, no answer! Tuesday - I wait until 445 pm, still no call! I call them, no answer. I leave a disgruntled message as to why I am not being updated. I wait an hour, call a few more times, no answer. Wait until 7 pm , no return call, I call a few more times, no answer. I take my spare key to the shop and drive my truck home. This guy deserves to make $0 from me after all this. Wednesday - so now this guy has a disgruntled message from me and the vehicle is missing from his lot. You'd think he'd call me right away to see what's going on right? Nope! Matter of fact he never called at all! I went there ASAP once off work, about 4 pm to get my keys. I walk in and my keys are sitting on the desk waiting for me to come get them. This makes it even worse as they knew I was unhappy and had taken my vehicle but made no effort at all to remedy the situation and/or apologize. I grab my keys and he literally looks at me and says "hello sir" but no apology or anything! I say I'm just here to get my keys and he says alright and let's me start walking out the door with no more being said. What kind of crap is that? So I turn around to ask him what the deal was with all of that and if that is normal for him to treat his customers that way, and he then apologizes and admits to "dropping the ball on that one". He then has the nerve to offer me "anything he can do for me in the future", and I quite honestly had to chuckle at that and walk away. read more

We had a few possible transmission warning lights turn on for my sons 4Runner after he had not driven it for 2 months due to Covid. As he needed to drive it home to California the next day I was concerned. He brought it in the Bernie the manager there who ran the diagnostics, confirmed all looked OK and reset the codes and filled the fluids. After a 2nd test drive he declared it good to go and it was. Clearly they are honest and did not try to exploit the situation which I sincerely appreciated. He'll be our go to mechanic for any service the next few years while my son is in college for handling it this way. Thanks Best Western! read more

I am blown away at the quality of service and knowledge at Best Western. No one ever wants the "T" word to come up when you're checking codes on your car. These guys went out of their way to find out my issue would be covered under a recall and saved me $100's even though it cost them the job. You can trust them to be honest, prompt, and reasonably priced. I'll be going back with any and all of my transmission repair needs. read more

I've been telling friends, family and church members, and it occurred to me I should post as well. The shifter on my 1997 Miata started flopping around and wouldn't shift out of second. I had to have it towed up to Best Western, which was recommended by my regular mechanic. When I called to get the 'bad news' I was told that three small elbow nuts and bolts had come loose and fallen off of the bottom of the shifter. They put the bolts back in and tightened them up. And then... They charged me NOTHING! Just have a nice day and come back to see us. WOW! That never happens. Thank you Best Western! read more

These guys are incredibly nice and incredibly helpful. I was driving from Seattle to Texas and my transmission blew. I had to keep going to Texas in a rental car, so I dropped my car off with them and left. They replaced the transmission, kept me informed about what was going on, and worked with the Audi dealership to get the right parts. I could only fly back to get my car on a weekend, and even though they are closed, they offered to open the store so that I could get my car. Instead, I asked them if they could drop the car off at the Audi place so that it could get inspected before I finished the rest of my trip, and they happily obliged. Picked my car up 2 weeks ago and everything is running just fine now. read more

I have never "yelped" before but I am so impressed with this place I had to post. I am currently traveling by car from CA to CT to get to grad school. In Utah I noticed transmission issues on my Isuzu Rodeo. My uncle found this business on Yelp and made me an appointment to get the car looked at, since we would be in Fort Collins visiting. It took them until the afternoon to look at it and when they did, they tightened some bolts and added some fluid, then called me up to have me pick it up. To my surprise they had me out the door the same day with NO CHARGE. That's right, they serviced it for free and within a day. The gentleman at the desk was nice and the office was very nice looking in my opinion. HIGHLY recommend this shop. read more

What a wonderful experience. The lobby was exceptionally decorated in native American with a very large fireplace in the middle. The high ceilings displayed art work fit for a museum. ..Oh yes, let's not forget the state of the art fitness room and sauna and jacuzzi. My room was very clean with microwave and refrigerator. The television had an automatic scrolling guide which I've never seen. .Instead of those little bottles of soap and lotion, there was a dispenser which held items inside. My bed...double. with 4 of the most comfortable pillows ever...overall two thumbs up read more

My wife and I was traveling through Colorado pulling a 42 foot 5th wheel trailer when we started having transmission problems. I was lucky enough to get off the highway and into Ft.Collins where I found Best Western transmission. I told the manager my problems and he was able to get my truck repaired and back on the road in just a couple of days. I was pleased with the service and personal attention that I received and would highly recommend this buisness. We were glad to get fixed up and on the road back to Missouri. This is an honest shop to take your vehicle. I have been using them for about four years for fluid and filter changes on my transmission as well as other fluids they service. Their prices are affordable and I have never been told anything after inspections to get unnecessary work done. Bernie is friendly and customer service orientated.
