SCAM ALERT!!!!! SCAM ALERT!!!! I had a technician come out to service my AC. He told me it was a bad relay. The diagnostic fee was $135. I asked if the part was covered under warranty and he said no even as I explained I just bought the unit. I contacted the property manager who said it was in fact under warranty. Not the friendliest people and in a big rush to go to the next job. The property manager told me nothing was broken and he should not have pulled all the wires out and lost a screw. I doubt the tech was even certified. Big rip off. He was going to charge me $320 for the part and service. I will chose another service tech for my next service. After I encounter many no shows from the electrician who had promised me to hook up a fan for my studio for the past 5 months, I decided it was time to find another electrician. Yelp came to my rescue. I message many, called others. But they either did not have the time for small jobs or were not available to do this work for another 3 months when the hot season is done with. When I called Best Wiring Electrical, my call was received, was asked couple of questions, I asked if it can be done on a Saturday when my building is mostly empty. Even a Saturday visit was ok. He said 9 am. I was surprised that they showed up promptly on the dot. The big challenge with this small job was that they had to bring in a tall latter to 3rd floor and be able the reach the high ceiling surrounded by ceramics! One bump and it would not have a happy ending. Amid and his co worker Cory worked very well as a team, even though I had my dog pestering them from time to time. The fan went up, and unlike most fans you see which wobbles, this one is assembled perfectly. As a added bonus I asked while they are up and above if they can be kind enough to hang this ceramic lamp for me. With out any attitude this was also done for me. I'm so pleased I decided to not wait for the old man who works at the speed of a snail for my building and hire this company in stead. Their price was comparably very reasonable. Found these folks on here and gave them a call to see what they had to say. Our house was experiencing random power outages that when I checked around, was able to trace it back to a problem in our own circuit breaker. After speaking with Amit on the phone, he came by roughly an hour later to take a look. It was pretty bad in there. And I mean bad. He was able to fix it up at a reasonable price (though to be honest, with how bad it looked I probably would have paid someone else double if they told me to in order to fix it) and will be calling him again soon for specific wiring for our air conditioner. read more

I needed a transfer switch installed, so I could just hook up my generator to my main panel and not have to worry about extension cords, etc anymore. I contacted Best Wiring Electrical through their website. They called me back shortly thereafter. I spoke to Amit, and he said he could be at my house in about 45 minutes to look everything over and give me an estimate. 45 minutes later he was at my door. He looked over my panel, and also my generator, to make sure he had all the info he needed. He gave me a very reasonable quote, and said he could come back the next day to do the job. He called me later that same day and said one of his guys was in the area and could he come by and start the wiring. I said sure. He did, and then at 8 am the next morning Amit was at my house to finish the job. By 9:30 in the morning, less than 24 hours after I first contacted them, Best Wiring Electrical had completed the job. Amit also took my dead battery from my generator in an attempt to recharge it for me so I wouldn't have to buy a new one. It didn't work, but it was a very nice gesture, and something he didn't need to do. I would definitely recommend Amit and Best Wiring Electrical to anyone who needs electrical work done. Simply put these guys are just awesome. I got recessed lights done in 2 huge rooms, the work was fantastic and was very impressed with way it was cleanly done and tools that were used. Next project complete pool electrical panel change, with GFI breakers, GFI outlets, Intermatic Z-wave control. Wired my pump for 240 V, and explained to me the cost benefits of doing so. As for my 30 year old air conditioner, that thing got a serious boost after the maintenance done on it, how can I tell? My Nest thermostat reports that it takes 40% less time to cool. I have done a number of projects with them, from simple light fixtures, to entire kitchen and bath electrical. I would leave no stars if I could. Avoid this guy. He did not show up for scheduled appointment and was very unprofessional. I called on a Friday and made an appointment for the next day, Saturday, at 8am, for him to come to my home and give me an estimate for heating cables for the roof to prevent ice damming. I gave him all my contact information and directions to my home. When he was not there by 9:30 (for an 8am appointment), I called and he said that he works out of his van and had written my information on a paper in the van and he "couldn't be bothered" going through all the papers in his van to find my information. So he was going to just not show up and not call. Just plain unprofessional and rude. Then he offered to come by and give me the estimate, but acted like he was doing me some huge favor, so I said forget it. read more

Just had to write this follow up review to say that Amit did return to complete the job just as he promised he would. Not only that but it became more complicated than anticipated because a part was not functioning properly and he stuck it out through terrible manufacturer support desk phone calls to troubleshoot the issue. After several tries to get them to come to my house Amit did show up. He was here at least for an hour but could not get 2 new doorbells installed. He disconnected one outside door push button and finally decided it was too late in the day to continue. That was a rather odd statement since we have light inside the house and Amit had set up the appointment for late in the day. He did not ask for any money for the time spent (which I would not have paid anyway) and said he would return on Monday or Tuesday the following week. I asked him about the disconnected outside door push button he said it was okay to leave it disconnected till he would return. Never returned the following week.
