The food is always good. This time I ordered the Singapore mi fun and have never been disappointed. While the person taking orders changes from time to time the chefs stay the same. And so does the quality of the food. It's a small restaurant maybe six booths, but that's more then they need cause most take there food home now. I don't usually do this. I stopped by to pick up some dinner. I asked for beef egg foo yung. The server told me they only had chicken or shrimp. I asked for shrimp egg foo yung. When I got home, which is 30 miles away, I was given the Kung Pao shrimp. I called the restaurant to advise that I was given the wrong order and the server was rude and hung up the phone. I also observed that the cook was outside when I came in and when he returned did not wash his hands. I am very disappointed in the service because this is usually the only place I visit for Chinese food in the area. read more

I just received a lunch delivery and the food was terrible. The order was beef and broccoli along with chicken fried rice. The beef had only three pieces of beef that was extremely chewy. I've had their food 3 times. The first 2 times were few years ago. Food was good for the price. Nothing special but Bette than other Chinese restaurants in town. Then we went back last week. I will never go back. The restaurant was smelling really bad like rotten meat and bad oil then we should've left but we brought our food back home the everything tasted horrible. The eat-in accommodations aren't great; your food comes in plastic carry-out containers. Ordered my food and brought it home, I made sure my order was right this time before i left, so i was happy about that. BUUUUTTTT.....Found FRUIT FLY LARVAE IN MY BEEF AND BROCCOLI!!!!!! Half way into eating it I found it! Omg disgusting. I ended up throwing that $8 plate away. The shrimp fried rice was greasy and the shrimp was undercooked. My wonton soup was Ok. The broth was good but the actual wonton was the worst. The filling was beyond sweet and tasted like what a wet dog smells like. Oh my goodness don't even get me started on how bloated I was afterwards soooooo much sodium!!! This was my second time eating here and I have to say I will never be back. Oh yea and I wouldn't suggest eating in there, the ceiling was leaking the walls has holes and looked dirty and the floor had rust stains and looked like they never mop. Lunch specials are best. I used to work down the road from here back in 11 and we would all order takeout every Wednesday. So, eating here brings back memories for me. It still is the greatest Chinese place in Hattiesburg, in our opinion. I used to order seasme chicken and the sauce would be perfect. Not too sweet but full of flavor. Egg Drop Soup is not as greasy as some other places and they will even cook "somewhat" custom orders for you (I am vegetarian now. I ask for no meat - extra veggies.) My mother still gets seasame chicken or kung pao chicken. Every time she ventures near here, she usually stops for my dad and herself. Best time to order, though, is dinner; even though it's more expensive, we have noticed it's hotter and has a stronger flavor. Maybe since they're not as busy at this time? read more

Excellent food and great 'house specials' and lunchtime deals. I love the General Tsao's Chicken and the Singapore Mai Fun. They're all good, but just keep trying different menu items and you'll definitely find your favorite. On rare occasion the egg rolls will be a bit over-fried...but most of the time EVERYTHING is very good and the portion sizes make Best Wok true to its name. Probably the best Chinese food in Hattiesburg. I have tried the Beef & Broccoli, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Garlic Shrimp, Singapore Chow Mei Fun, and Steamed Dumplings and it's all very good. It can get a little busy so I recommend calling ahead. The inside is not much to look at it. It's not very comfortable, a little ugly, cramped, with people standing as they wait for take-out orders. There was a sign in the window saying they would be closed on Mondays from now on. I had heard this was rated as best in the pinebelt for chinese food and looked forward to eating there. I ordered my standard favorite, Bourbon chicken; and was extremely grossed out. The whole flavor of the meal was disgusting. It smelled bad, and tasted worse. I ended up throwing it all away. I have friends who have since tried the bourbon chicken at different times, and we all agree that it is horrible.
