DON'T order from them!!! for over three years. I have been ordering food from Best Wok and never have had an issue until two weeks ago June 15. I placed an order. The first thing that changed was the text message you when the driver is leaving and when he has arrived, and they just leave the food at your door, they do not ring the doorbell. I don't study my phone to see if my food has been delivered, there's always been the same guy Who hands the food to me very pleasant. This new system is extremely impersonal, and I don't want my food to be on the pavement in front of my house and why am I tipping the driver if he's just gonna dump and go that being said I ordered food comes in a paper bag, your normal containers and usually there's the duck sauce soy sauce, all that stuff on the bottom of the bag along with a few napkins never any fortune cookies but I never really thought to ask and I removed the food. it's on the counter . I put a plate together sometimes I just eat out of the container depending on what it is then I put the food in the fridge and I recycle just about anything I can. So the paper bag is going to go into the recycling bin so it was on the counter. The next day I wander into my dining area, which is pretty much connected to my kitchen and on the floor on its back with his legs still kicking a cockroach as big as my thumb no lie absolutely disgusting. It was enormous that explained why my cat was sitting by the fridge and just taking his paw and putting it under the grate He was trying to get it and he gave up which I know to be true because he can find a gnat in a pitch black apartment at 2 o'clock in the morning, so if this dude was on the run, he would've been all over it so that cockroach which is a disgusting word was in that paper bag that held my food that climbed out of the bag, probably fell off the counter who knows walked across the kitchen floor went underneath the refrigerator where it's warm maybe to hide I don't know I haven't read cockroach today and I had enough string to make it halfway to the dining area and either died naturally maybe my cat knocked it around some, but I will never ever ever order anything from them again I did not call Them I probably should've but i'm sure they would not have been receptive. No, Restaurant wants to hear. Oh yeah by the way what you just delivered there was a 2 inch cockroach in there or the previous Chinese restaurant oh the rice that I reheated the next day made me so sick almost minutes after I ate it that every little grain of rice had to come out of my body it didn't taste funky but you don't go from feeling great and then you have some house special fried rice and the next thing you know you're feeling really nauseous and then you're blowing chunks immediately until my stomach was completely empty. That is definitely food poisoning. People say oh yeah, I get food poisoning cause they're sick the next day that's not how it works. If your body is poisoned it's going to react immediately. It's gonna either come out one way or the other way or sometimes both and it didn't take a degree to figure it out so I give this place one star and eat at your own risk because I'm thinking oh my God could I have consumed roach parts or turds and that thought is enough to make you wanna vomit? read more

Third time ordering, and this time was a real disappointment. Ordered a chicken with garlic sauce lunch special, brown rice, and hot and sour soup. Soup had little flavor. It was pretty much brown water with mushrooms. Asked for the chicken to be made spicy. Not only did the leave out the spice, but they left out the flavor as well! Over 20yrs only place I order from, nice people and accommodating of changes... if I'm not driving into my life long family spot in Chinatown (wish Best Wok would add Double Sautéed Pork or an Eel skin app, something new-or even old school fantail shrimp-can't find anymore:( for take out) you can't go wrong-there are no bad choices here! I find it increasingly amazing when restaurants or people think that it's perfectly fine to take your hard earned money and effectively feed you something that you might consider swill or slop. Fast forward to Teaneck, New Jersey : January 2020. ... Picking up the phone to order dinner, I called Best Wok Chinese restaurant. Trying to eat in a more health conscious manner, I requested no sugar be added to the gravy which accompanied one of the dishes. Surprisingly, I was told that they wouldn't accommodate the request because it was " too complicated". They added that there was only "a little sugar in the gravy." Amazed at what this says to me about how this business really feels about its customers, I cancelled the order all together. I then hung up the phone and scratched them from the list of potential treat night restaurants. Oddly enough, they'd accommodated this request in the past but apparently it wasn't worth it to them. Thank you very much, I'll spend my family's 60.00 elsewhere. Food for thought: ( excuse the Pun) Of course, the customer is not always right. Yet,In my opinion, Best Wok or any other restaurant who puts their convenience ahead any customer's health interests can dry up and blow away. I find it amazing that any food establishment even dares to have such a public reaction today in the face of legitimate add indisputable health concerns caused by societal overdosing on sugars and salts. My delivery experience hasn't been well with Best Wok and neither has my taste of their food. The shrimp dumplings are store bought and then reheated. The Garlic Broccoli is never spicy even though I tell them Very Spicy everytime. The fried rice is probably one of the worst I have ever had from chinese takeout, it looks and taste like box yellow rice with a sprinkle of chopped up vegetables. Best Wok is the cheapest delivery for Chinese food in the Teaneck area at $10 min with a $2 delivery fee. If you are ordering more than $10 worth better off ordering from anywhere else. read more

Having heard good things about Best Wok, we ordered takeout from here for my boyfriend's birthday. Big mistake. The food was ready when they said it would be and the portions were reasonable, but that's about it for the positives. The fried dumplings were way too doughy, in proportion to the filling. My shrimp with snow peas was nearly flavorless, as was my boyfriend's chicken with cashew nuts. Nothing was terrible, but it wasn't very fun to eat. Stay away! We ordered delivery from this place, and were told the food would arrive "in 30 minutes." 60 (!) minutes and several phone calls later, the food arrives. We open it - and it's cold, and just plain inedible. The sauce for the Orange Flavored Beef had all settled to the bottom, and the beef was just mushy and tasteless. Called the restaurant, and we were told the driver would be "right back" to take the food and return what we had paid. It ended up taking 30 minutes and several more phone calls. We love this Chinese restaurant! They are affordable and make a great general taos tofu! Not sure if there is a different chef though because the last time we ordered food it was different. Usually the scallion pancakes are amazing but the last time I ordered them they were very different and we did not like them. Usually I am extremely happy with this restaurant. read more

This is a reasonably priced place that provides freshly steamed, bright crispy vegetables like broccoli and peppers and chicken, fish, pork and beef that is cooked just right and very flavorful. Two slight negatives would be the lack of an included egg roll with the lunch special... this is pretty standard for most good Chinese take out places. Also, sometimes too much sauce is used on items like the shrimp lo mein. But the steamed dishes are light and tasty. Order taking was friendly and accurate - the dishes we ordered arrived with no mix-ups. Delivery is quick, and the drivers carry the handy-dandy credit card reader with them if you're short on cash. I recommend calling the restaurant directly for delivery, rather than ordering via a third party. Perhaps others have had less favorable experiences, but not so with our family. Do NOT order from these people online. They are literally incapable of managing to deliver the correct order on time. Driver showed up the first time 28 minutes after the outside of the time range promised. Soup was wrong. Called and asked for correct soup. 40 minutes later second driver calls from the gate outside the complex -- nevermind that the delivery instructions VERY clearly state that you cannot enter from that side and must come in the front entrance that is not gated. This place is ridiculous cheap and amazingly good. Not exaggerating when I call it the best Chinese food in town. Their chicken tastes like chicken, and their pork tastes like pork. Their food IS NOT covered in grease. The staff is so sweet and friendly, and are always trying to make people happy with the food. Only thing that could be changed about the place is the incredibly dingy interior. It's really clean inside (I could tell by the fact that they're always cleaning and fretting over this or that), but the furniture, wall coverings, and flooring, make the place look ancient - and kinda gross. The staff is Americanized so there is no miscommunication when ordering. I ordered 3 different shrimp dishes each had large fresh shrimp. They don't skimp on shrimp! DO NOT order from here. Placed an online delivery order and when the delivery man came (looked like the owner), he says with a bad attitude "DO YOU KNOW WHERE WE'RE LOCATED?" My husband says "yes?" And the man proceeds with "Why did it say 3.7 miles online but it was 4.4 miles on my GPS?" My husbands like "I don't know?" And the man proceeded to look at my husband like he was a fucking idiot. If you don't deliver 2 towns away, then don't allow the website to accept it! When we finally were able to eat after that, the chicken was actually extremely dry and everything else had no taste.
