A new restaurant that opened in Palisades Park! When I first entered, I found out it was within the…read moresame restaurant as hong chun cheon. When we came on a Saturday night, it was packed but we didn't mind waiting a bit with the fun k-pop music playing. Once we entered, we quickly just grabbed a bowl and created our own malaxiangguo at the food station. They have a good variety of vegetables and other additions. They weighed it by the pound and we were able to share the perfect amount for three people. My favorite dish was the beef skewers. It reminded me of the exact tastes of the cart skewers and they were $2 each. Definitely would come back again when I'm craving some skewers and spicy food!

Went to Rahongbu Malatang for some dry pot on a weeknight for dinner. It's in the same restaurant…read moreas Hong Chun Cheon, which serves dakgalbi. The dry pot here is similar to others, where you serve yourself from a raw bar, the ingredients are weighed, and they cook it for you to the spice level of your liking. I don't like that noodles are charged separately from the weight of the other ingredients (vegetables, fish cakes, meat, etc.) Because of this, i almost opted to order one of the dakgalbi dishes on the menu for Hong Chun Cheon. However, the prices listed on the menu are for one serving. When i tried to order, the lady at the counter explained I had to order two order minimum. So the real price for one order of cheese dakgalbi is $51.90, not $25.95. This was annoying because I was the only person who wanted dakgalbi, which mean i ended up not getting it. I did get my dry pot though. They make it spicy just like everyone else. At about $16 per pound with separate charges for noodles, it's slightly more expensive than other dry pot restaurants in the area. I eventually wanna come back for the dakgalbi, but I'm gonna need to make sure i have a partner beforehand.

This visit was all about sweet and sour pork, and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, they…read moredelivered something respectable and more than acceptable. The dining room was empty when we rocked up on a weekday late afternoon, and it was nice to sit at a table by the window for a street view. The staff was quick and efficient, and we got a super heavy tea pot of hot barley tea in no time. Food came out without delay. I love how theirs comes with loads of veggies, even as I question the use of green beans which is a first for me (to see them in sweet and sour pork). And while it was distracting and would rather have the dish without the beans, the star of the fish, the pork, was just right and we gobbled it up. I hope they stay open for a long time.

The noodle sauce is very heavy (I liked it), and the noodle texture is perfect. The portion of sweet & sour pork is small (I usually get 3-4 people portion, but this one is good for 2 people). The service is great (very friendly), and they give you hot tea for free. The restaurant is very spacious, and good for group of people. They do have private parking lot. - Noodle with special black bean sauce (4/5): very heavy and deep sauce - Noodle with spicy black bean sauce (4/5): light sauce & moderate spicy - Sweet & sour pork (3/5): small portion, and average taste
