They figured out entry points on the roof and found a huge opening in the crawlspace that any animal could have fit in. They not only trap but really work on exclusion. Closing off the entry points, replacing vent screens, and building doors to close off openings. Their thorough approach is unmatched. We went with BestX because they had inspected our house quickly and thoroughly. This is our first time buying a home and in retrospect we should have called around for more quotes. I will say they were helpful in dealing with a somewhat ornery neighbor. Otherwise the experience was completely negative. They outsource their extermination to Gatorz. They charged an incredible amount--hundreds of dollars--to replace damaged wood; we couldn't even tell the repairs had been made because they were so shoddy. I went home to check on the repairman at the time they said he was there and he was not even there (he was "at the hardware store" except the wood he used looked like he found it in a dumpster). The worst part is... the termites are back!!! Not even two months after treatment there is fresh frass and BestX ignored our email about the re-infestation. This is what they did to our porch railing - no explanation, no call, no taking any responsibility for the damage they did. When our broker attempted to hold them accountable, they hung up on him. They are reasonably priced and was informative to show me what was going on on around my home because we had a rodent problem. I recently used BestX for termite fumigation services at a home we purchase. They were reasonably priced and were able to complete the project in a timely manner. However, the communication wasn't great. I had to call several times to confirm when they were showing up, and ultimately didn't hear back from them until they were almost finished setting up the tent on-site. Similarly, during the contracting stage, the paperwork they sent for execution was had the incorrect address and information left over from a previous customer. I'd recommend they invest in an admin to help with returning calls, populating contracts, and even upgrade to using an eSigning system like DocuSign to improve the front end of the process. read more

I requested estimates from several termite companies. Best X replied quickly and said they could come out the next day. I set an appointment for 11 am. After nearly an hour of no one showing up or contacting me, I emailed the company back. John said he was running behind and would be there by 12:30. Sarah actually showed up and did the inspection. She was lovely. My only "complaint" is that no one let me know they were running behind. Communication is the key to healthy relationships!
