Theo is a very happy pug after froyo and acupuncture. Thanks Beth!
    Andsay C.

I first brought my dog Theo (an elderly pug) to Beth after he had a back injury. She has been amazing with him, and now we continue to go for maintenance. Theo loves acupuncture...not only has it helped him to become more stable in his back and leg strength, but it calms him down as well. Plus, he gets to eat frozen yogurt while he's there! About Beth: She is really wonderful with Theo, super loving and gentle. In terms of communication, she is down-to-earth and straight-forward. She doesn't overcharge. Her prices are really reasonable, waaaaaay more affordable than what we were paying when we went to Holistic Vet. I would highly, highly recommend Beth as an acupuncturist if your pet needs one.

When my dog Trudy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and I was told she had 3-6 months left to live and no means for any kind of treatment my heart broke. I knew I had to do something so I decided to try the holistic approach for my girl. Beth was so gentle, kind and loving to Trudy. Trudy immediately took to her and actually started to enjoy her acupuncture treatments. We also started her on a series of herbs that I call magical herbs because, here we are 11 months later and Miss Trudy is happy and still going strong. Thank you Beth for all you have done for my best friend.

    Beth and Pema

When my 50-pound cattle dog mix Pema was about 18 months old she was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. She was in such pain that she would let only one of her hind legs touch the ground at a time, and if she could have held them both up she would have. She couldn't run, she couldn't jump into the car, she could barely walk. She's now 8 years old, pain free, and she does all of those things -- without surgery. I attribute this remarkable success to Beth Schneider's skill as an acupuncturist and to her ability to tell what's going on with Pema just by running her hands over her body. The regimen that Beth suggested, which she updates as needed, includes herbs, diet advice, and exercise tips in addition to acupuncture. Because Pema's condition is congenital, we still see Beth every couple of months for tune-ups. As you can see from the photo (Beth with the yellow dog), they have a mutual love affair. Thanks, Beth!

She stopped eating and we took her into the emergency vet. We had to put her down and it felt so sudden. It was a real shock. I cancelled my appointment with Charly, but then changed my mind and rescheduled it. During our session, she told me that the moment she received my request, Charlotte came through to her and said she was ready to go. This was a great comfort to me. She said many other things that deeply comforted me and confirmed that Charlotte's spirit will never leave me. I am still very sad, but this session helped tremendously. I also had a healing done for myself, which was so very helpful. I felt lighter and less devastated. I also felt Charlotte's spirit all around me. I highly recommend Charly for pet communication and healing for your fur baby or yourself. She is a very sweet and empathetic soul and I feel she is the real deal. I know there are skeptics and naysayers, but I don't care. This experience made a huge difference for me in my grieving process and connection to Charlotte.

She has the most intuitive and healing touch and is my favorite massage therapist. Yoko clearly takes the time to listen to my requests, but the best part is she's is able to discern what I need without me having to tell her. Sometimes I have no idea how much work I need until she's already on it. As a fitness instructor, my job can be hard on my body, so maintenance is key. After Yoko's massages, I not only feel blissfully relaxed but I also know that she has worked out kinks in my muscles to achieve better alignment and overall body function. During both of my pregnancies, Yoko routinely gave me prenatal massages. I have been to prenatal massages by other practitioners that were acceptable/passable. However, Yoko applied the perfect amount of pressure in the exact right spots to make me melt. I saw her every 2-4 weeks at points during my pregnancies but wish I had boundless financial resources to see her even more frequently. Now that my second child is a few months old, I continue to rely on and put all of my trust in Yoko to help relieve intense muscle tension that I'm sure all mothers of little ones experience. Scheduling appointments with Yoko is quick and easy. I always receive an email reminder, which saves directly into my Gmail calendar. That's a plus! Her Oakland studio is warm and inviting, to match her personality. Yoko is an absolute gem!

If I could give Shelah more than five stars, I would. She has become one of the most important…read morepeople in my dog Luna's life--and in mine. I stumbled across her Yelp page, which is filled with glowing reviews, and after working with her myself, I completely understand why. Luna and I have entered a new stage of life together. We are shifting our focus to the future, and I've realized how crucial it is to prioritize our long-term health, strength, and mobility. Just like people, dogs naturally experience physical changes and muscle loss as they age, which is exactly where Shelah's expertise has been invaluable. During our very first consultation, she noticed several subtle things that didn't seem quite right and encouraged me to follow up with our veterinarian. That recommendation led to a vet visit that ultimately revealed Luna was dealing with osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia. Because we caught both conditions early, we were able to develop a proactive treatment plan before they progressed further. I truly believe that, without Shelah, I wouldn't have recognized there was a problem until Luna was experiencing significant pain or mobility loss. We are currently 12 weeks into our 20-week program, and the results have been remarkable. Every exercise program is thoughtfully tailored to your dog's individual needs, physical condition, and goals. We meet in person every week, where she demonstrates each exercise, watches me perform them with Luna, provides feedback on my technique, and adjusts the program based on Luna's condition. What truly distinguishes Shelah is just how exceptionally thorough and detail-oriented she is in everything she does. She collaborates directly with our veterinary clinics, reviews medical records, and stays current on every aspect of Luna's health. After each session, she updates our client portal with that week's customized plan--complete with detailed instructions, photos, and videos--so I always know exactly what to do and never have to guess. Her professionalism, organization, and consistency are exceptional. Beyond her technical knowledge, Shelah is simply an incredible person. She is kind, patient, and genuinely invested in her clients. Luna absolutely goes crazy with excitement whenever Shelah arrives--her entire body wiggles, her tail goes into overdrive, and she can barely contain herself. Watching their relationship grow has become one of the highlights of my week. As a wonderful bonus, Shelah also offers canine massage therapy. Whenever time allows, Luna gets a therapeutic massage after our sessions. While it might sound like I'm simply spoiling her, it has actually been essential for relieving muscle tightness and supporting her mobility. Shelah is incredibly skilled at quickly identifying tension or discomfort. Today, Luna is stronger, fitter, more mobile, and carries herself with noticeably better posture and confidence. Seeing her move with such ease has been incredibly rewarding. We can't slow down time, but we can absolutely change how our dogs experience it--giving them the tools to thrive as they grow older. Having Shelah as part of Luna's integrative care team has given me immense peace of mind and helped me be proactive instead of reactive. If you love your dog, don't wait until mobility issues or pain become obvious. Invest in their health before major problems develop. Your dog will thank you, and your future self will be so grateful you started today.

I noticed improvements in their flexibility, strength, and overall demeanors. It's clear they looked forward to every visit, and so do I! If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet with care and professionalism, Shelah is the best in the business. Highly recommended for any furry family member!
