It's an indoor course you play under UV lights for the "glow in the dark" effect. We find it one of the more affordable mini golf courses ($13/adult, $11/child/senior). It must also be very well-maintained, because we've been coming in for 5+ years now and I have never once thought, "Oh, this part here is getting worn down" or is dirty or needs to be replaced. The staff is friendly and genuinely want you to have a good time. We occasionally avail ourselves of the mini bowling and arcade (there are price packages if you want to play multiple things), but the mini golf is our jam. Anyone sensitive to strobe-light effects will have to stay away, though.

We really enjoyed the quick and simple layout of the course and more so, all the unique monster-themed paintings scattered throughout the course. Our little one had a great time and we did as well. After finishing the mini golf, we enjoyed their small arcade area and our son was able to get some cool monster-themed prizes with his tickets. I really liked the theme and how unique this place was, compared to the other kids places of this variety (Dave and Busters, Chuck E Cheese, etc). After our weekend in Frisco, Monster Mini golf was actually one of the highlights of the trip and the friendly staff made it all the better. The cost per person was $44.00 and if you wanted to add the build-it Barbie customizable doll closet experience, it was an additional $55 per person. The actual entry includes varying interactive Barbie scenes such as her closet, space ship, the beach, pool (ball pit), her Barbie camper, music studio just to name a few. You basically take pics with different backdrops. It's nice but not at $44.00. I got the build-it add experience so I can review it. You will get a Barbie that's probably worth less than $10 in store. There weren't a lot of options to choose from. You get a beautiful commemorative box to put everything in. You get to pick 2 pairs of shoes, 3 accessories and only 2 clothing items, which means you get either 1 outfit or 2 dresses. I wish they gave the option to have two complete dress items. The outfits are not the high quality that you remember as a kid and the shoes are actually ill fitting for the Barbie's feet. Not worth $55 but for a little less would be a nice experience. When I went there was a spring break sale my entire ticket was 30% off, which made this experience a more appropriate for the price.

Some even brought their own lighting but no one took an unreasonable amount of time anywhere. No food or drinks allowed but there is a bathroom. Bring the hand sanitizer! There is a ball pit, drums to play, mic to sing, DJ and science area. The gift shop had Barbie's starting at $7 and going up to $55. Pencils w/ erasers were $3, potted plant in a Barbie vase were $12 or $15. Overall, it was cute but admission was a bit high IMO.

They also take safety very very very seriously!! I have been to other paintball field in the area and I can say for sure they are the most family focused out of all of them. You go in, pay, get your Wrist Band & paintballs (you can always get more if you run out). They sell water and soda at a reasonable price.The paint is washable, so no worries. Next you move out to the gun counter where you pick up your mask and gun. From there, you go on down toward staging and a ref explains the rules. Each group has around 20 to 30 people with average 10 to 15 people to each team. One team starts off on one end of the course, the other team on the opposite side...then advance. Last team standing wins. You typically play 2 games before you take a break if you don't shoot all your paint in the first game. You than leave the courses to refuel, etc. before going back in to play some more. I have been out several times in the last year and each time they have been making improvements. Just in the last month they have added 1 new fields and re-designed another one to keep things fresh.

I ended up leaving about an hour after I arrive (I usually play for at least 3 hours to put things into perspective) because there was no one around to play. It is adjacent to Elliot Elementary School and the El Dorado Heights neighborhood in McKinney, TX. The park was still in new condition with no noticeable litter. -- The Playgrounds -- There are 2 playground structures within the overall playground area with wood chip mulch. The first is small and best for young to early elementary school aged children, and with close supervision it's good for very young children (note that there are gaps in the openings along the playground system). The second with its "mega" three-story playground is best enjoyed by elementary school through middle school aged children. During less busy times, younger children can be assisted on it, too. There are swings: a therapeutic/intermediate swing, bucket swing, 4 regular swings, and 2 additional bucket swings. The playground is in partial shade. -- Splash Pad -- A great feature that operates during the summer, the splash pad at John M. Whisenant Park is a stand out feature. -- Benches & Pavilions -- There is a picnic shelter/pavilion covering 3 picnic tables (first come, first serve -- no reservations). There are benches along the perimeter of the playground and trashcans near the picnic tables. -- Walking Areas -- There are paved walking paths and hike/bike trails within the park, along with hiking and biking trails. The overall park is 9.9-acres. -- Tournament Sporting Equipment -- There is an open turf area for athletic play. -- Amenities -- There are toilet amenities. -- Parking -- There is on-street parking by the neighborhood and parking with Edris Elliott Elementary School. -- Things to Note -- During peak times, it's usually very busy with kids as families stop by as school releases.
