If you have monthly refills you might be able to save quite a bit of money at Goodson. The pharmacist will take the time to discuss the medication and give you an information sheet. If you don't feel like walking inside, give them a call when you pull in the parking lot and they will bring your meds out to the car. We transferred all of our prescriptions over from a large chain grocery store and now we save money and time. I also like it that they carry old fashioned candy by the piece!

This place is amazing. The employees are extremely friendly (I've been here twice so far and…read moreeveryone was so nice both times) and they are quick to fill your prescription(s) as well as answer your questions and assist you with any other OTC item they sell. They also do compounding if you have a unique prescription need. I found the pager feature they use to be a fantastic little perk to have while you wait so you can go outside. The only seats are in the back at a desk that is used to speak to a pharmacist regarding equipment and other medical questions/advice/etc. They say that you get your prescription in 5 minutes but keep in mind that is 5 minutes PER medication and that's assuming that the prescription was called in/written out correctly. If there is any issue with the prescription the pharmacist will take the time to call whomever wrote it in an attempt to get the issue corrected immediately. They'll keep you updated on the process via use of the pager. Additionally you can call your refills in ahead of time as with most pharmacies but an extra perk they offer is delivery! I haven't tried it yet but no doubt I will in the future.

My grandmother was given her heart medication, which was supposed to contain 90 pills. Instead, she received only 30. When she went back to the pharmacy to address the issue, rather than simply investigating their mistake, she was accused of stealing her own medication. Let that sink in: an 84-year-old woman was accused of stealing medication that was prescribed to HER. Are you kidding me? My grandmother would never steal anything--ever. She was so humiliated and hurt by the way she was treated that she cried about it for days. No elderly person who has been a loyal customer for decades should ever be made to feel like a criminal because a pharmacy failed to properly fill her prescription. And before anyone tries to imply that she somehow needed to steal medication, my grandparents have worked hard and owned multiple businesses in Forsyth County throughout their adult lives. Stealing has never been part of who they are. The most upsetting part isn't even the missing medication--mistakes can happen. It's the way the situation was handled. Instead of showing basic respect, compassion, and professionalism, my grandmother was treated like she was guilty of something she would never do. After more than 30 years of loyalty, my family is officially DONE with this pharmacy. We will never use them again, and I sincerely hope they think twice before treating another elderly customer this way. Do better. This particular location is pretty busy, but it is close to my home. The staff here all are professional, courteous, and super helpful. It is amazing how busy they are, considering that there are a LOT of people that need their medications filled frequently. My parents came back from a trip and both are ill. They had medications called in to the pharmacy and this morning when I called to see if they were ready, the pharmacist on duty today (Asha) acknowledged receiving their scripts, and also the fact that I was personally recognized via my name. I usually come in to the store and interact with the staff, but out of an abundance of caution I used the drive thru to keep everyone safe. They were so lightning fast, after opening up this morning at 10 everything was ready within 30 minutes...which was the promised time- but my mom got a text after 10 minutes saying it was completed. Just fantastic stuff. No one really ever thinks about the need for a pharmacy to be good (essentially they need to be perfect, 100 percent of the time!), and take the time to acknowledge the staff. Only when something goes wrong do people write about it, and that seems pretty unfair. So I want to give a shout out to the folks here at Walgreens, and the staff in the pharmacy specifically. Wait times to pick up a filled Rx in drive-through is insanely long, up to 20 minutes per car. I…read moremean, the prescription is already bagged and tagged, so what is the hold up? No respect for customers and no accountability for poor service. If you leave a message for the pharmacist they will ignore it. They have messed up my prescriptions and then claimed 'not it'. If they don't have the Rx in stock they don't notify you, and again, calling and leaving a message does not garner a response.

Some medications (not just pain killers or ones that would make sense) are controlled and need to be faxed I learned. Twice now, simple Prendisone has been sent there by fax and they lost the faxes or somehow don't receive the order. When my Dr.'s office wanted to give them a verbal order, they told the Physician they "are busy and will have to hold"...for 30 minutes. There are plenty of other pharmacies here in Cumming where you will have far better service. Go elsewhere.

Super simple and seamless process. Went online through their website and uploaded the photos from my camera role, chose the location to have them printed, and that was that! They emailed me as soon as they were ready (and if you send them in early enough they will get printed same day), and when I arrived to pick them up and purchase, an employee was there and ready to help. Everything was sorted by name, so it was quick and easy to find. Prices are super reasonable and I will definitely do this again in the future!

But everyone who works in the Pharmacy is incredibly kind and helpful and pleasant. I read an article several months ago about how put upon pharmacists are financially and just through so many more added duties and responsibilities. They're not just pill counters! But while I don't usually deal with just the pharmacist, I have gotten vaccines and questions answered and had people step out from behind the counter and help me find a particular vitamin on the shelf. Their drive-through window is a godsend also. I cannot say nice enough things about this branch of CVS and it is served me very well for the last four years.
