This review is for the Washington Street Burger Bar! Today we went to Beth's in Downtown Orlando for the first time. I cannot even believe the level of service, but regardless of that, the flavors were the best ever. The veggie burger was very satisfying and flavorful while my bff enjoyed a Bun-less Burger that she claimed was the best age ever had. It was so good she was speechless. Beth came in the restaurant thru the front door, smiled and took our plates away. Simply the best restaurant on orange avenue. The staff is the friendliest and the restaurant is clean and just plain cool. The burger was very good and if your a vampire killer, I recommend the garlic fries. Yum yum. Too much garlic. No way. Just perfect love them. As a small local food owner myself when I travel I try to find small local places to eat. We found Beth's and stopped in. Good burger, great fries. The onion rings were a bit overdone. Beth is all about her branding and it's cute. The condiments put on the bun with a "B" very cute. It was a good burger but I thought the better part was the soft toasted bun. So this was our second visit to Beth's. Last time was tasty, so we returned. Oops. Our fries and tots were cold, and the burgers were far from hot. When I brought this to the attention of the runner, she looked at me as if I'd told her they were radioactive. I had to invite her to touch a tot to see how room temp they were, such was her apparent level of disbelief. Then she actually picked the tots up individually from the basket, put them in a cup and took them away. New, hot fries and tots came out in the time expected to make fresh ones, but by then the burgers were either well past their prime or eaten. No apologies. No concern for our satisfaction displayed whatsoever. Yeah, I don't think we'll be back. There are tons of burger purveyors, many of whom will immediately detail a member of the management team to address shortcomings in the food or service. Things happen; I get it. An apology and/or a manager visit go a long way. Didn't happen. Going elsewhere in future. read more

After hearing great things about Beth's, we were excited to stop in for lunch. We had a black and blue burger and a veggie burger with a fried egg with fries and onion rings. Everything about our meal was just MEH at best. The bread was dry, the meat was over cooked with extremely small portions. The veggie burger, while it looked awesome, was bland and flavorless. Onion rings, meh. Greasy and clearly frozen. To top it off the egg was undercooked and raw eggwhite gushed out when I cut into my burger. YUCK. While the staff was nice and friendly, we won't be back to see them. read more

I do NOT understand the reviews! I stopped in for a late lunch today & ordered a single cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Almost $10! I could see into the kitchen and I saw fresh ground beef being made into patties & I felt hopeful! The food was delivered quickly and some of that hope faded fast. Their fries are the kind with some kind of crisp covering. I don't care for that kind so I won't judge on that. They were hot though. The burger was disgusting. Really really awful. The patty, what there was of it, was dry and I'm fairly sure none of that fresh beef I saw was in that sad, grey disc. The tomato, though thicker than the patty, was about the size of a silver dollar. The bun was fresh but there was an awful lot of it. I ate about half the burger out of shear hunger and my stomach is still churning 2 hours later. If the bad food isn't enough to keep you away the floor looked like it hasn't been washed for, well, maybe ever. I KNOW it hadn't been swept in a good long time. read more

I gave this place another try. I ordered a double burger with bacon and the works. This time the burger was not so so dry like last time. I think they are using more lean beef but not enough fat in it to make juicy. This is a quarter of star improvement if I can add it. read more

Never a disappointment! Whether we eat in or carry out, the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Big bonus for carry out is that they've never gotten out order wrong. That can be a frustrating inconvenience, but Beth's always gets it right the first time. I especially love the yam fries! They are so delicious! read more

I came here last night with my husband to celebrate a great job offer he got. He loves burgers and he was curious about this place. It was tiny and not very impressive inside. But I thought "who cares? I'm here for the food!" You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The one thing that sucks about this is that they have a 'bar' and you can order beer from draft. However, they don't keep a tab open or anything, so everytime we wanted another beer, we had to go the register to pay for each one individually. The options on the menu were pretty limited. It's a build your own burger type of situation. They had 4 options of 'signature burgers' but they were pretty unimpressive (ex. swiss mushroom burger, morning burger with egg and bacon). My husband ordered the swiss mushroom burger with tater tots. I built my own burger with an egg and avocado in it (no sides). We each ordered a beer. We decided to sit at the bar. There were two women sharing the responsibilites of taking orders at the counter and bringing out food to the table. However, after we ordered, one of them went on a break. The other girl remained behind the counter snacking on stuff in the kitchen. Before our food came out, my husband had finished his beer. I went back to the counter to order a second beer. I stood there for almost 5 minutes before someone came to take my order. The girl that was snacking in the kitchen pretty much just stared at me and didn't say anything like "I'll be right there with you" or "one moment please". My husband got his second drink and immediately afterwards we got our food. However, my husband didn't get his tater tots. He told her he was missing them. She said "they'll be right out". She brought out the food for the other two orders after us (they all had orders of fries and received their fries). After my husband was halfway through his burger, I asked her about the tater tots again. She said "they're almost ready". My husband finished his whole burger and I finished mine as well. Still no tater tots. I'm already done with my beer at this point. She avoids our table out of embarrassment that the tater tots aren't ready yet. So she never asked us how our meal was or if we needed more drinks, nothing. After 5 more minutes after being done eating, tater tots arrive. She cleans up our plates. I don't mind if something is late and can't be prepared on time if we're told that ahead of time. Just say something like "I apologize, there's a delay with the tater tots, can I get you fries insead?" Or offer something like "here's a drink on the house for the delay". Something, anything that resembles customer service. As for the burgers themselves, they were average. Not terrible, not amazing. Not impressive enough for a burger only joint. We were really excited about this place and left extremely disappointed. read more

This is a small burger joint on South Orange Ave. The burgers are delicious and they have all the toppings you could want. There is a bar with wine and beer - $2 Yeungling drafts! - and a huge flat screen to look at whenever you are not looking at your beautiful burger. Beth, the owner, comes by each table and makes sure everything is perfect. There are tons of regulars, one group was celebrating a birthday and they brought me over a piece of birthday cake. How cool is that? Definitely much cooler than 5 Guys, and the have amazing onion rings, plus they have my favorite redneck hors d'oeuvres: tater tots! I can't wait to be are regular here! read more

I absolutely love this place!!! I am a huge burger persona and am always looking for new and great burger places. This is probably one of the best yet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The options on how to customize your burger is plenty. You can choose what exact toppings you want from vegetables to condiments and you get to choose the size of your burger from 1/4 lb to over 1 lb. I ate a 3/4 lb burger and thought was worth the price. My next goal is the 1 lb burger and it's only $10!! One thing I didn't mention is for the burger purist, they even have options for fries as well. Overall, this was an amazing experience, from the decor to the atmosphere and the food is ready in less than 10 minutes. Not much else you can ask for! read more

It's a shack atmosphere, an older building, not very clean. After I paid for two meals, I picked up one of their loyalty cards (after 7 punches your eighth burger is free) and the cashier only gave me one punch, I mentioned that to her & she said it's only one punch per order... I said if I had known that BEFORE I paid I would have had her split the order into two... she said "I don't make the rules" The beef itself was tasteless, the bun was good. Fries & Onion Rings were okay (typical frozen product.) If you've got the word "Burger" in your name, you really should have an outstanding product, Beth's Burger is a huge disappointment...
